Holy crap, Zara does not let up on Archer. She's exhausting. A British 8 = an American 5 = a Canadian 10. Sounds about right. Everybody gets five points for being edible during the Apocalypse. Yay! Truck sex. But only if the windows are tinted. Another episode which reeks of struggling to make it to the finish line. π«€

S02.E04: The Devilβs in the Details

Wow, was Jenard trying to unalive himself with all those drugs? Diamond's David's getting a new girlfriend, hah hah. Trying to play chicken with a moving train is not smart, especially while driving stick. Too easy to stall out accidentally, right in the path of the oncoming train. Meanwhile, there's a theory over on reddit that Mireya noticed the cops watching Tommy and made a run for it to lose the tail. Claudia better hope telling lies to the Serbs about Jenard and Diamond won't bring her trouble. The Tommy kind of trouble. Diamond finally did the right thing and brought Tommy in on the Bennigan situation. But now they've got a bigger problem because D'Mac just had to be gangsta. Sheesh. They need to send that wannabe away to military school or something before he gets them all killed. I'm surprised they didn't tell him Denzel called and wants his Training Day scene back. Yes! I kept looking at her hard like I'd seen her before but I couldn't make the connection. Yeah, I wondered about Seamus' sister. Maybe Diamond will do something for her. Or maybe he'll find out she's dead and Seamus was taking the money for other reasons. -

Wow, Diane, way to be a supportive mommy. Who your grown@$$ son dates isn't really any of your business either. Tucker, my guy, don't be out here sniffing after Audra. Makes you look like you're at the mercy of her cooch. Billy, Adam already told you he was keeping his hot goss about Tucker to himself. And in case you forgot, Adam's independently wealthy and doesn't need any material or financial help from the likes of you. Gah you are so full of yourself. Phyllis told Jack she's trying really hard to change. Really, really hard. Really. Hey, Kyle, I know something you could work on while you're temporarily unemployed: your ridiculous bouffant. Mrs. Martinez may cook hamburgers occasionally but the Abbott manse is not the home of the Big Boy. Billy negotiating with Adam over a bit of blackmail info. What was wrong with this picture? He must be hella desperate to...take down Tucker? Force Tucker to help him kick Jack out of Jabot? Sure, Jan. That's right Adam. Don't pull your mask up for Billy. Even if he is likely right about this new leaf you claim to have turned over, he's never going to be a trustworthy ally. Why does Phyllis need a job? Isn't Tucker paying her a cool two milli to hack Billy's finances? Daniel wouldn't be paying her anything close to $2M at Omega Sphere. He probably doesn't earn that much himself. Lol, Billy is a complete loon. Adam wouldn't play ball so he stomped out of Society in a huff. Sucks to be you, William, tee hee. Audra to Billy: boy, bye. I know you're not trying to come at me all hard and intimidating. Go away before I laugh in your silly face. Aw yea, Tucker and Adam having themselves a verbal tennis match. AFAIC nobody brings it like those two in a scene together. They're the corporate bromance I still wish for. But yikes, Adam needs to keep Ashley's name out his mouth after what he did to her (and Faith and Sharon) back in the day. I recoiled even though Tucker didn't. Not Audra jumping on the Kyle & Summer 4 Evah train too! Aarrgh! Re the previews: Mamie's hair! Oh honey, no. π±ππ΅βπ«π€―. -

I think once Nikki settled into her role as The Wife of Victor Newman and Mother of The Two Newman Children, she could put on airs at the drop of a Birkin bag. But she wasn't like that all the time. In private she mainly acted like a regular person. Now it seems as if she never turns the snootiness off and I believe she's being written in a new way, mostly since the strike began. In fact, I think several characters are being made to highlight one or two extreme facets of their personalities, e.g., Victor, Billy, Phyllis, and Sharon. It's probably easier and quicker for JG to handle them this way since he's doing All the Jobs at Y&R these days. π -

A table directly in front of the entryway would not seem ideal to me. I'm surprised the GCAC dining room sits any of their customers there. Looks like Audra might be over Kyle. Good job, Tucker! π I thought Nikki looked fab today. May be late in the season for pastel colors though. Meh, I'm over the game of 20 Questions between Lily and Victor. IMO there's no reason for the show to be coy about who the mystery investor is when they've already announced Billy, you are a muckraking gossipmonger and like Jack said, Devon probably couldn't get away from your sketchy self fast enough. John Abbott would not be proud. If Victor's investment in C/W was minor what was ever the big deal about it? Kyle and Audra may be dunzo but unfortunately we have to keep seeing their highlight reel. KMN. Those moments weren't so great the first time, JG. Surely Audra knows what Nikki is trying to pull wrt her and Kyle's private lives is legally questionable. Why doesn't she push back? At least mention Victoria & Nate, Nick & Sally, and Adam & Sally. Wah, wah, wah, Victoria. Poop or get off the pot. You are well past the age where whining at Daddy can convince him to let you have your way. And you're not scared NE will fall apart without you; you're worried it won't. That said, perhaps Vikki should do some research into mood stabilizers. Not for her, for Victor. Ehh, Jack is too much of a gentleman. I'm thinking he should box Billy's ears and knee him in the groin because merely fussing at Billy is clearly a waste of time. Shut up, Victor. You've never had any problem having Kyle work at NE in the past when it suited your anti-Jack and anti-Jabot purposes. I watched Y& R online today at CBS.com and it didn't include the brief memorial to Billy Miller. Wonder why not? Seemed like the tribute was barely five ten seconds long so it wasn't really biting into the space for commercials. -

Victor stays being an agent of chaos. There's no reason for him to be playing his master of the universe games with Lily and Devon's company. I'm with Phyllis on one point: Diane needs to stop gloating in people's faces. One day the karma bus might swing around and run over her again, to the cheers of those Diane keeps taunting with her successes. Custody agreement? Why should Summer be entitled to any kind of custody of Harrison? I could see there being a visitation agreement but other than that, nope. Not unless Tara has given up her parental rights to Harrison, her biological child. I really don't understand why the show is pretending like Tara doesn't exist or can never return. OMG, Billy, it's not for you to decide whether Tucker deserves to have Devon and Dominic in his life. You're a textbook case of a fool grasping at straws. But of course after Jack told Billy to drop it, Billy went right ahead and contacted Devon. Jack, your baby bro is an insolent brat, same as he ever was. How much did I love watching Kyle lie right to Summer's conniving face about him and Audra? THIS MUCH!!!!! π₯³π₯³π₯³ I also loved Diane's blowout. Looked good with her whole slim silhouette. Whaaaaat!!!??!?? Tucker wants Phyllis to hack into Billy's finances? Didn't see that coming. Uh oh, Billy. Devon wasn't as gullible to your slanted and mostly baseless gossip about Tucker as you expected him to be. AFAIC Kyle doesn't need Summer's forgiveness for taking up with Audra. They were separated and likely headed toward a divorce so IMO he was within his rights to date whoever he wanted. I'd only fault him for being so indiscreet, knowing Summer could be publicly humiliated. Jeebus cripes, did Victor need to be so patronizing with Lily? And I'm still not as confident as he is that Neil would've wanted him to grab a stake in C/W to keep Lily and Devon in line. Seems to me Lily and Devon could sue to find out who their mystery investor is. Why Jill is okay with Victor treating them like he's running their lives? Ya burnt, Billy! I hope Jack marches right over and busts up Billy's little tΓͺte-Γ -tΓͺte with Devon, and then fires his co-CEO on the spot. -

Has Sharon always had those boobs? She was sure letting the girls run wild and free in her halter top today, and they were perkier than I would've expected on a woman her age. I feel like I should enjoy a Tucker vs. Phyllis scene way more than I do. π There goes Sharon's little green monster, making her worry about a woman Chance's age showing an interest in him. And was Sharon subtly trying to sic Mariah on Snowflake? Dear Summer: Kyle hypothetically leaving the country with his son Harrison would not be similar to Heather taking Lucy back to Portugal. Please review my previous comments to you on the matter. Free Tara! Oh puhleeze, Billy. Drive Tucker out of town? FOH. You don't get decide who can live in GC. Plus, there's this newfangled technology called the internet. Tucker could use it to attack Jabot from anywhere in the world, you moron. Guess Tucker didn't learn his lesson the last time he tried to enlist Phyllis as a henchman. Sigh. Tucker, my guy, that way lies nothing but more trouble which you do not need. "Devon deserves to know the truth." Shut. Up. Billy. Devon doesn't need your help finding excuses to turn against his father. He manages to be fairly judgmental of Tucker all on his own. I thought dirty martinis were supposed to be cloudy? The one Summer was nursing at Society looked relatively cloudless to me. Whatever, maybe a couple of jumbo cocktails will give her the liquid courage to slide into Chance's DMs. π€‘ Pshht, if Phyllis should avoid anyone it'd be you, Billy. Good luck turning Tucker into a GC outcast. He's been there, done that, and has the souvenir t-shirt filed in between his ones from Coachella and Lollapalooza. The Red Menace must've put her broom on supersonic tonight, shooting back and forth between the GCAC, Sharon's cottage, and then back to the GCAC. Sounds like Tucker is setting Phyllis up to commit a computer-based felony for a mere $2M. Hmm. Isn't she sorta on parole, besides possibly being charged with insurance fraud? -

Lol, before Victor whips it out and gives himself a vigorous massage, he'll need to take a handful of the infamous little blue (or yellow) pills well in advance. Pasta that's been boiled on HIGH for three hours probably has more stiffness than Victor's unit ever does at this point in his life. -

First order of business: Victor had to put his own portrait back up in the NE CEO office. What is wrong with the Newmans? Their level of vanity is ridiculous. Heh, when Adam first saw Sally there should've been a thought bubble over his head which read, "Danger, Will Robinson!" Adam was trying to sell his "I've reformed" spiel to Sally too. Ehhh. Meanwhile, Sally told him she was picking up some room service. Isn't the point of room service not to have to go get it? Nate walked in just as Victor was making a silent toast to the painting of himself. And I was right there with Nate and his lowkey WTF? reaction. So Victoria wanted to build a case with Nikki that TGVN might be declining mentally. She had selfish reasons for doing it but I'm wondering if she might accidentally be onto something. Sally could be onto something too. Be funny if Adam is plotting to sow the seeds of discord among NE staff, starting from the lowest levels and working his way up until he has enough employee backing to lead a mutiny for control. Not sure how he'd keep one of them from ratting him out to Victor however. Wow, Nate was walking a fine line between being supportive of girlfriend Victoria and currying favor with big boss Victor. Gotta have all bases covered, right Sidepart? I see you, Adam, getting Sally tipsy and then offering to escort her up to her room. You are well aware her door is only a few steps from her bed. π Hmm, Nate seems to have chosen to play on Team Victor. Or at least that's the message Victor may have received. The old coot probably can't handle his booze the way he used to and his read on the situation was alcohol-impaired. Looks like Vikki was successful in creating doubt in her mommy's mind about her aged daddy's fitness to return to the CEO chair. π Oh boy, is Sally already sprung again? Adam's kisses are her Kryptonite, tee hee. Let's go, you two crazy kids! -
Look who's back, finally. Sorta. Hi, bye, Axe. So does the man in the olive drab t-shirt have a SAG card now or was that video cobbled from speeches he's actually made? Oh boy, Prince's ego got quite a one-two punch with the unvarnished focus group comments and Sacker distancing herself from him. Almost made those poorly-staged basketball shots worth it. Dave quipped, "Chuck, in a known language, please?" Right there with ya, Dave. Uh oh, Wendy wasn't counting on Prince's wife doing an end run around her. Guess Andy really does want to be FLOTUS. Defenestration on gossamer wings. Nice. Lol, that was quite a CYA press conference Chuck pulled off. His consulting a professional wrestler was cringe though. Since when is Chuck into pro wrestling? This cameo made about as much sense to me as the one with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Way too much speaking in metaphors and analogies in this episode. Can't anyone just say what they mean, plainly? My favorite related comment from reddit: That might be reason they should've ended this show last season. This is one is going worse than Game of Thrones IMO.

^^^Such stunning news. I can barely wrap my head around it. Billy Miller was The Best Billy of Y&R. I remember Billy Miller back when he was on AMC, and I also watched Suits where he had a recurring role. You could always feel his energy through the TV screen, no matter what kind of character he was playing. (I don't watch GH so perhaps someone else can speak to his performance over there.) If TPTB were remotely decent (π) I think they'd let Amelia Heinle and Jason Thompson acknowledge Billy Miller's passing at the end of an episode before the credits run. The character of Billy Abbott has been played by several actors over the years but arguably Billy Miller did the most to shape the role to the show's lasting benefit. Rest in peace, Billy Miller. -
Hot-headed Tommy might want to go take a dip in the lake the next time he has the urge to kill one of Jenard's boys. Next time it won't just be his car filled with bullet holes. So Diamond's CO eff buddy is down with full-blown criming. Of course. Is the actor playing D-Mac wearing a weave or extensions? His hairline looks unnatural to me. The hot CPD lieutenant DiFranco is AUSA Stacy's husband? Wow, she did well for herself. Diamond's drug runner may not have dissembled quickly enough. The parole officer was eyeballing him hard and might decide to check out the basement the next time he shows up. Dang, Miguel does not play. I've never heard of the dry ice thing before. There's no recovering from that kind of damage. Odd to see Tommy driving a new truck instead of a vintage Mustang. I think if Claudia was less emotional and more smart she'd tell Tommy Walter killed Liliana. Lil K's gangsta grandma straight told Jenard to FAFO. And have some cookies, lol. That was something the way the Serbs flanked Jenard's car and then took it in payment. But now Jenard has a new car! (New to him, anyway.) And Tommy is satisfied Jenard took care of the Lil K problem. Poor Walter. π Both of his kids have the kind of anger management issues that result in them shooting someone point blank, usually in the wrong place and at the wrong time. The heroin may kill Jenard before any person does. Maybe he'll OD and save everyone the trouble.

Ira, seriously? Having personal sex videos on your phone is almost a guarantee you'll get hacked or your phone will be stolen. Killer Mike. Didn't realize he was still relevant. And thus far he has not endorsed any successful candidates for president so it's unclear to me what his use would be to Prince. I would not touch that pie Dave brought with a ten-foot pole and I love sweet potato pie. The color was not right unless they make them differently in NYC versus, say, East Texas. Prince drives himself. Seems unduly risky. Good job on the product placement car though. Cojones. That's Spanish. π The little soirΓ©e with Killer Mike cost Prince over a billion dollars. WTAF. And Taylor ran the ploy without Wag or Wendy's knowledge. Wow. But now they and Wags have free financial rein while Prince's attention is mostly elsewhere. They just better act fast and maintain air-tight covers or he'll come after them for the money he loses.

Wow, Audra had all the chill, running into the guy she usually screws while standing next to the one she just finished screwing. Heaux of GC, bow down because your queen is here. But how frigging clueless was Kyle trying get a quickie? Apparently Audra and Tucker showered because one would think Kyle might've caught an unmistakable whiff of eau de sex wafting off them. So Billy managed to be sort of correct about Audra and Tucker but it was based on virtually no real evidence. Shut up, William. To Kyle's credit he saw through his daft uncle's attempt at pulling him into random suspicions. Ashley's Paris cafe set was rather well-decorated for what should be a temporary location. Meanwhile, we still don't know where Billy or Chance sleep at night. Interesting budgetary choices. π€ Whatever story Ashley and Tucker have cooked up, she sure sold it with Abby and Jack, and he convinced Devon. Now most of the Abbotts will stay focused on Tucker when Ashley's likely the one who'll be trying to take over Jabot. Guess she'll have to get in line behind her younger brother though. Billy: blah, blah, blah, Ashley and Jack are dumb and dumber, I am the one true heir to the Jabot throne!!! Tucker: are you high, Billy? You do see me standing here, right? Do I look like I just had an attack of the stupids? Billy: <smirk> Joi: oops, there go my eyeballs, rolling right out of my head. π΅βπ« Hmm, quite the angry voicemail Tucker left for Ashley with no one there to witness it. Maybe they're not scheming together? Or Ashley's gone rogue. Re the previews: Sally, you better not be playing a game with Adam's heart. He did, after Daisy threatened to sue for full custody of Lucy when she was a baby. The marriage was a failure and at some point he planned to divorce her. There is some question whether he ever actually went through with the divorce and two online bios indicate he's still legally married to her. Presumably that's one reason why Daniel and Heather have never married despite their living as a family with Lucy. Alternatively, JG could be operating off his own version of Daniel's history wherein Heather gave birth to Lucy and Daisy never existed. -

Tucker lowkey ragging on Kyle, tee hee. Yeah, Audra, remember what it was like to be with a man who's full-service in the boudoir, unlike your bouffanted boy toy? Heather might've been talking out of both sides of her mouth with Phyllis. She said she doesn't want Phyllis to interfere in the situation with her and Daniel but i saw her face as reading otherwise. But then, IMO Daniel doesn't sound 100% committed to Lily. I hope he isn't trying to keep her as a back pocket option while he and Heather have their weird little on/off dance with each other. Tucker going after Jabot in retaliation for Ashley dumping him is a lot of WTFery to me. Either this is indeed a scheme he and Ashley have cooked up, or people are stupid suspicious of him because he acts like such a wild card. Is Traci living in GC now? She keeps showing up at Abbott family meetings like she just teleported over from Manhattan. WHY DOES LUCY CALL HEATHER HER MOM???!!!??? I get that the show wants to avoid bringing up Daisy but some long-time viewers do recall how Lucy was conceived. Plus, Daniel is still legally married to Lucy's biological mother. Jack, it's most certainly a bad idea to let Billy take the lead on running some kind of fishing expedition con Tucker. You know Billy's not in Tucker's league and he'll probably make things worse. For you. Gee, I don't know if Tucker should be so trusting of Audra given who her boyfriend is. She could use her knowledge of Tucker's Jabot takeover plan as leverage with the Abbotts. I see you, Daniel. You're working both Lily and Heather, with a possible assist from Lucy and Phyllis. Good luck with that. π -

And of course Princess Abby went psycho on Tucker because Ashley won't return her calls. I'm sure Ashley knew Abby would overreact and her silence feels calculated to me. However, my guy Tucker was not here for Abby's hysteria. Shut her down, T! Poor Audra was sounding rather cynical and resigned during her convo with Nate. Not sure he's the best cheerleader but apparently Kyle's away so she has to make do. Adam should know by now that when Nikki shows up in her chignon she's in her Newman Family Enforcer mode. He was lucky she didn't pull a knife on him, lol. Sharon certainly noticed the casual, flirty vibe between Summer and Chance. Sigh, Sharon, if it's not Phyllis it's her girl spawn, amirite? π Had to love watching Victor crack Vikki's smug, self-entitled face into a million tiny pieces. Oh noes, Victoria, daddy gave you a long-overdue C-level spanking. Ouchies. I had to remind myself that Esther was Delia's grandmother because for a minute I couldn't understand why she was being so snarky toward a customer. Still, maybe she should just ignore Adam instead of tossing insults. Guess Aria's not finding the atmosphere at Chancellor Mansion particularly welcoming. π Or is she simply missing her other mommy? Yaaasssss, Summer is so going to move on Chance while Sharon's out of town. Sharon looked like she knew it too. Right, Victoria. When your widdle fee-fees get hurt, the best thing to do is summon your COO for a vitamin D injection. But hon you need a whole alphabet of supplements if you think you can push TGVN out of the company he owns. Look at Audra delivering sad Tucker some mercy sex. Well at least she's about to enjoy a hearty full-course meal, unlike the low-nutrition snacks she gets from Kyle. -

Gosh, I'm glad you're able to joke about it because it sounds terrifying. I was reading a news item earlier about a man who walked into his kitchen and found the escaped prisoner helping himself to the family's food. It's hard to understand how this guy has been able to elude the massive efforts to catch him for this long. He's like a Marvel supervillain or something. Since Chance is the only detective in the GCPD he's probably too busy to go help in the PA manhunt. And definitely forget Paul Williams. DD did an interview recently wherein he likely ended any possibility of being brought back--at least as long as Sony has anything to say about it. Holy moly, I never realized what a prima donna he is. (IMO, of course.) -

Yes, Phyllis, you are trying too hard. The surprise would be if you weren't. Sheesh, the ego on this woman. Was that Save the Date card Jack showed Diane huge or what? Maybe he figures most of the potential guests are so old they need stuff printed in a gigantic font. Apparently Summer's divorce doesn't fit into the perfect fantasy world Phyllis has tried to create for herself since she returned from the dead and escaped a prison sentence. Aw. Sad Tucker is not a fun Tucker. I want fun Tucker back. π€¨ So Heather wants to stay in GC, she's using Lucy to work Daniel, and he's eating it up with a spoon. Hmm. I liked Diane's dress and thought it was a great color for her. Not sure the cold shoulders were office-appropriate however. Especially for Jabot's Chief Talent Officer. π Dang, Billy sure was schmoozing Diane and Jack. He must be hoping to give Diane a false sense of security, thereby causing her to tip her hand. I dunno, William, Diane has managed not to falter so far. If she is scheming on your family her eyes are staying on the prize and not her silly BIL. Heather referring to Lucy as "our daughter" still irked me today. How does that work if she hasn't adopted Lucy, and Heather and Daniel have never been married to each other? Hold up, Abbotts. Don't be out here trying to berate Audra about Ashley and Tucker. Audra handles Newmans on a daily basis so throwing back at y'all would be mere light work for her. Lol, was Abby lurking in the park waiting for Diane to come through? Bet she wasn't expecting anything like the info Diane laid on her about Ashley and Tucker. I was kind of shocked Diane decided to be the one to deliver the news. Trust your instincts, Jackie. Billy is definitely shining you on while he's plotting to stab you in the back for control of Jabot. -

Instead of being so fascinated by the continued closeness of her boyfriend and his ex-wife, I thought Sally should've been mystified by whatever was going on with Sharon's face. It looked swollen and painful. π Victoria in white pants and top after Labor Day. Fashion heresy! Nick always has to be the corporate hall monitor. If it isn't his responsibility to keep an eye on Adam then it's his job to watch what Nate's up to. Ehhh. He should listen to Sharon and break free of NE. Those throw pillows on Adam's couch looked horribly cheap to me. One of them was like half pleather and half felt. His decorator must've shopped at a big box store. NTTAWWT but Adam is a multimillionaire and can afford better. Calm down, Mariah. Let Aria hang out with her play cousin Dominic and she'll be fine. Dominic has the Chancellor Estate on lock. Nick said he has a financial team. Okay. Witch on wheels Nikki started revving her engines again and taking aim at Nate. Right to his face and in front of Victoria. Whee! Heh, it was funny to see Sharon in that flashback with her old, less narrow nose. Nate is shady but I don't know why he should quit his new job as co-COO. He hasn't really done anything wrong, yet. Nikki was aggressively overstepping today, IMO. -
Walker cared for Juliette so much she was compelled to overcome her agoraphobia after decades of not leaving her home. Amazing. Wonder if Juliette will try to approach one of the other silos, and if so, whether they'll let her in? There's probably not a protocol for dealing with outsiders, that is if the other silos operate the same way as the one we've seen. As soon as I Iearned the far off city Juliette saw was Atlanta I figured the purpose of the silos is to protect people from turning into zombies. π
-
I don't how Juliette jumped off that ledge and survived. Plot armor FTW. So are Sims and his wife part of the resistance? Seems like they're living some kind of double life. Clearly their son doesn't know but I guess it would be dangerous for them if he did. When I was watching this episode I learned the series had been renewed for a second season. I was both glad and disappointed. A second season means Juliette isn't going to win--not yet, anyway. But it's a high-quality series so I'll look forward to seeing more of it. Hopefully the producers will read sites like this one and work on the things many viewers found wrong with the way the first season has been presented.
-
Bureaucrats have a lot of power in the silo. Juliette is so strident. Even is she's onto something, her behavior toward anyone who doesn't bow down to her wishes is a lot to take.

A simple Pez dispenser causing so much trouble. The syndrome is interesting. Some kind of nutritional deficiency or is it psychological? If it were congenital you'd think they could sort of predict who's likely to get it. Maybe that's why reproduction is controlled, to breed out problematic conditions.
