They have in common their misfortunes of being the younger brother from another mother, inside very clannish families. Right away Nikki wants to use her change in job title to settle a personal score. Of course. Newmans and petty revenge: It's who they are; it's what they do. I think Jack is such a simp. There he was pouring his heart out to Ashley and she could barely contain her smirk. Have some self-respect, Jack. Ashley will stare down her own death before she'll accept Diane. It still bothers me though to see Adam trash-talking Billy to his face. AFAIC killing someone's child puts you permanently on their STFU list. Now that he'll be reporting to his soon-to-be ex's grandma, how long will it take Kyle to return to Jabot with his tail tucked between his legs? Nikki coming in hot AGAIN! At least Audra wasn't surprised by the attack since Nate did her an office gossip solid. Honestly, Nikki might want put some raw red meat in her diet because lately she stays looking for blood. So part of Nikki's issues with Audra goes back to Noah. Geez, Audra is still taking blame for her failed relationship with the disco fevered Emo Boy. Wonder how much Liberty Mutual had to pay for the product placement in today's Y&R episode? KMN if Harrison shows up in a yellow shirt and aviator sunglasses. I couldn't understand why Nikki was pretending like she hadn't seen Nick recently. Wasn't this Nick's second or third visit to the ranch on this same GC day being spread over multiple episodes? OMG, Audra, stop acting like you're about to become homeless. Even if you get demoted at NM you'll still have a job. Or you can get another job. And there's nothing keeping you in GC unless your affair with Kyle is way more important to you than it should be. JG can miss me with having Adam toss around the word "coup." AFAIC what's going on at Y&R now is a bunch of mostly idle wealthy adults playing corporate musical chairs. None of it is of permanent or dire consequence to any of them. Yeesh, Adam needs to join with Diane to form a support group for people who won't stop aggressively digging their own graves. They can call it Antagonists R Us. **Adam got nothing unless you count the Cyaxares and McCall Unlimited companies Victor bought for Adam to run. Adam was only the wooden-headed puppet boy though, designated CEO while Victor still held the marionette strings.

Whoever wrote the scenes with Mariah, Tessa, and Devon seems to have anticipated the objections some viewers might have to Devon being brought into Aria's hearing problem storyline. If nothing else he can offer sincere emotional support. As a person of considerable resources he can also offer to help Aria's parents access the best medical care and treatment for her available in the world. Additionally, he can serve as an nearby example of someone who is living successfully with a condition Aria may grow up with.

Bet if Nick hadn't caught Sally for a 2nd time alone with Adam she wouldn't have finally relented to taking business funding from him. Seems to me this move is mostly about Sally tamping down Nick's concerns about her working with Adam. The couch in the tack house looks like the one in Adam's apartment. It can't be the same one, can it? I know this show is cheap but geez. Sharon acting feisty about Victor assuming control of her company is a joke to this viewer. She teed up that move when she insisted on merging Kirsten International with Adustus/McCall Unlimited, knowing that Victor owned Adustus via Adam. IMO she's in over her head and Stevie Wonder could see it. Way to be a buzzkill, Nikki. Esther didn't get one whole day of excitedness about her new role as the manager of the coffeehouse before gossipy Nikki snotted all over it. Seriously? How did Sharon and Nick not see Victor looming there watching them in Society? And without the black chair attached to his rear. 😏 Shut up, Adam. Nick held the loan on Phyllis' hotel without getting involved in how she ran it. You're just sh!t-stirring and trying to create a divide between Sally and Nick. But lol, already Nick was talking about getting involved in Sally's business and leaving the NM mess behind. Sally better get a "hands off" stipulation in writing or this issue might be what finally breaks them up. <fingers crossed >

Mileage varies of course, I think but in its heyday when Bill Bell was still alive, Y&R excelled at corporate intrigues storylines. Unfortunately what JG is attempting to do now is a poor imitation. There has to be more than a bunch of companies identified by two or three initials trying to take over each other. Or every other character being deemed a CEO or COO. Yeah, I am so over Victor trying to do his Master of the Universe act from his black chair in the ranch's living room. It makes no sense to me for his 40- and 50-year old children to be still competing to curry their daddy's favor, or for Victor to expect them to.

You just want to make him work for it. 😏 Audra was right to be upset, I think. She's the acting CEO of NM and Victor hadn't even bothered to tell her about the merger with SNA. Don't feel like the Lone Rangerette, Ms Charles. Victor hasn't informed the CEO of NE either because she's conveniently out of town. Buh buh buh busted AGAIN, Sally! How many more times do you think Nick will stand for catching you alone with Adam at his place? OMG, Victor moved back to the black chair. This guy. Why is Nikki so worried about Audra? Audra has no power at NE/NM beyond what she's granted by the Newmans. They could fire her for no reason and Audra knows it. Shut yer flytrap, Mrs. Newman. Wait. Victor wants to "mentor" Audra? Sure, Jan. That might've worked 20 years ago, Vic. No woman with Audra's attributes is trying to snuggle up to your wrinkly, sagging sack for job security these days.

Yep, Nate is a puzzle to me too. I can't decide whether the stuff he says is supposed to be taken seriously, or whether the viewers are meant to see him as someone who talks a good game but is basically full of crap. Either way, I think whoever is writing Nate's dialogue seems to have gotten their basic understanding of how to run a big business from YouTube videos.

It was certainly weird. "Sally, I'll be glad if you get knocked up (by me, not my brother) and I'll stand by you but I'm not putting a ring on it. You know what they say about not trying to turn a hoe into a housewife, hah hah." So is Sally going to try to trap Nick by deliberately getting pregnant? Ehh, I got the distinct impression CH didn't want to wear the fake baby bump padding. I can't imagine why she'd change her mind unless TPTB didn't give her a choice.

Yes, I've noticed. Devon's cochlear implant was replaced in 2012. Tucker used his clout to arrange for Devon to receive leading edge surgery to restore his hearing. According to Devon's bio, he had a transducer implanted in each middle ear, which clearly are not visible externally. The backstage word was that BJ and/or the show didn't want him to have to deal with the fake cochlear implant device anymore for a variety of mostly cosmetic reasons. They were glad to find out about the new technology and wrote it into a pivotal storyline for Devon and Tucker. Back to Aria, in 2023 I would expect to her to have whatever the latest advancement is in treating her type of hearing loss or impairment. That may or not be what Devon had done in 2012.

Especially since Victor has an issue with her and he's hyperfocused on SNA for some reason. If Aria's deaf I wonder if she can get one of those implanted hearing aid devices like Devon has? Please. Nick already treats his son Christian like an afterthought. Why give him another child to abandon? 🤨

Right? I can't believe they both thought what he said was a compliment. And that wasn't the first time in recent memory the writers have made an iffy reference to apex predators. I think they need to find a new word for what they're trying to suggest because IMO "predator" has mostly a bad if not criminal connotation now. Yeah, they got her blackout drunk and then literally tossed her unconscious body out of their car at the front of an ER. Kyle ended up have to pay off the girl's family to keep it quiet. No sex was involved though. Spumor was the show wanted to write the story as Kyle and Theo having had a three-way with a girl they later found out was underaged but allegedly TPTB shut the idea down. Whew chile, Victoria is straight up d!ckmatized. I never expected her to last more than a few days without getting up on Nate's junk. She just had to make it seem like she was granting him mercy by taking him back. 🙄

Admittedly, I have checked the googles for whether duck lips or bee-stung lips on men has ever been a thing. The results were minimal. Were lip fillers or plumpers commonly used by either women or men back in the mid-1990s? I can't imagine why JM would've done that to himself unless he was modeling for gay porn. 😉

Audra and Nate having a fierce public argument about their NE/NM scheming was interesting to me. I'm with Adam. Nick sure hasn't been much concerned that his girlfriend got hella crapped on professionally by his daddy for no honorable reason. Seems there's only one thing about Sally Nick truly cares about and Victor knows it. Victoria gossiping to Kyle about his boss-cum-bedmate seemed shady to me. I see her as trying to position Kyle as a weapon against Adam and assuming he's willing to be her tool. Hmm. Esther! And a mention of Kevin. Wow. Loved Esther's breezy, colorful top. Apparently Adam was able to shame Nick into helping him confront Daddy Vic about the fake job offer stunt he pulled on Sally. Day late, dollar short, Nick. Kyle must care more about Audra than I've been willing to believe. He immediately went and told her how Victoria attempted to work him for dirt on the acting NM CEO. I think Audra was a bit surprised too. Shut up, Victoria. Instead of giving Nate the 3rd degree on his loyalty and trustworthiness, perhaps you should stop using the NE C-suite as your dating pool. Ugh, Victoria & Nate office sex again. KMN. Thank goodness for Victor's c*ckblocking phone call. Victor, Adam will not see Nate as much of a threat. You're just setting Vikki's boyfriend up as collateral damage when Adam goes scorched earth. Oh well.

But Chelsea, you do make everything all about you. Connor's reacting to the problems you've caused and continue to cause in his life. Sigh. Chance as GC's chief of police. Oh come on. There was a blonde waitress in the background at the GCPD who I think could be SC's body double. From a distance I kept wondering why CEO Sharon (😏) was working the tables there. I seem to recall Paul didn't always stay in his chief of police office. He occasionally mixed it up with bad guys because the elite GC families summoned him whenever they had a criminal to deal with. He was basically at their beck and call, just as Chance is already. Dang, Lily slid right into Heather's attempted sentimental play with Daniel. Daniel was clueless but Lily clocked it with laser focus from across the room. Whee! So, what are the odds on Billy cheating on Chelsea while she's out of town? I'll take that bet. Hey, Heather. I have it on good authority Lily is a fan of this Loretta Lynn song. You ain't getting Daniel back unless Lily decides to let it happen.

Of course Axe has a castle. With a moat. I liked watching Dave in a dick-swinging contest with Chuck. She gives as good as she gets and he seems to respect her for it. Lola Falana? Now that was a next-level out-of-the blue reference. Maybe the show was scared to use Tina Turner. Too soon. And also of course the doctor at the Bluetooth medical device clinic was a cocaine dealer. He just had to be compromised in one of the most clichéd ways possible. Jeffcoat better be in solitary confinement until he's released because otherwise I bet those cowboy boots will get stolen and used for a makeshift toilet so he'll never want to wear them again. Now it's merely a matter of who's gonna slip up on the giving the appearance of a conventional marriage thing first, Prince or his wife. My money's on her. Prince winning the Oval as an independent only seems plausible on paper. I think this show will be heading into science fiction territory if they let him get elected without pulling some backroom shenanigans.
