  1. I'm going to stay out of the addiction conversation, as I think everything to be said on it has been written. I do wonder, though, about Kim's dismissal/hatred of Eileen and possibly a contributing factor to her Lisa disgust. Way way back in the day, when Kim was a SUPERSTAR, there was still a stigma attached to soap opera acting. Prior to the Luke and Laura General Hospital years, if you came from a soap you were often dismissed as a hack. Daytime Emmys seem to have come from this, and are really a separate entity from the "real" Emmy show. Kim may feel a daytime Emmy isn't even in the same league as a "real" Emmy. I could see Kim, in her eyes, being well above mere soap stars, while still lusting for the steady gig and large paycheck a soap job provides. Another coal to add to the bitter fire.
  2. I have ladies in my classes that swear by Old Navy's workout line. I've never done Fabletics but have done Ellie, similar in that you sign up for a monthly fee and get an outfit a month. Cute stuff but no better quality than Target.
  3. I agree about the hair, IKnowRight. I really didn't notice Yolanda's style until she cut the hair. I'm not one to say anything about long hair on older women. I actually don't mind, for example, Vicki or Tamra's hair on RHOC. Yolanda's long hair and extreme blonde did nothing for her. This new look fits the personality she projects, and I'm sure is easier with her health issues. Your daughter won't regret Lululemon. It lasts forever. I'm a fitness instructor and wear it day in, day out. I have Lulu's that are years old and still holding on strong. Your daughter has excellent taste!
  4. One thing I've come to notice about Yolanda is that she knows what colors and silhouettes work for her and sticks with them. She wears a lot of Lululemon and Jcrew, yet the only way I recognize something is because I have it. She wears the clothes, the clothes don't wear her. Same with Camille. I don't notice the same with the rest of the ladies in any of these franchises except for maybe the Countess. That and looking at Yolanda's house are the main reason why I stick with this franchise.
  5. Lisa's hooker shoes were Brian Atwood, I believe. On par with Louboutin price wise but specializing in opulent gaudy. I love the brand in a "I'll never actually wear it" kind of way. I really am liking this season-more house porn, shoe porn, bag porn-less classless brawling. Eileen in her garden was a pretty cool touch, especially looking at the nice variety they had.
  6. I was a big mourner of the cancellation, until this episode. It was so bad I don't even have anything I can defend. Other than the bailiff making a face for the jealousy selfie, everything was flat and dull.
  7. This show is seriously growing on me. Last night was not bad, at least it seems to be flowing more smoothly.
  8. I like the show, and laugh a lot. While maybe it's possible a judge could do all she does in court(doubtful) ultimately if the judge is an elected official, she'd be ousted. That's where they lose me. For my house right now, the bailiff is the highlight of every episode.
  9. Black Jack isn't a character I love to hate. He's just so irredeemable after the last two episodes. I get the idea that we're supposed to see how he resembles Claire's modern day hubby but be so evil, but he's just so awful I don't even think he's entertaining. (and I come in as a book reader, so I know how he's supposed to be. I just find him kind of one-note)
  10. Better than the pilot. I'm in until something better is on. The actor playing the ex is likable enough that the smarmy references to his past indiscretions just fizzle. It would have been better had they had something else in between them, such as working too much to connect, etc. I called her hiring the protestor as a babysitter, so there are still some too obvious plotlines.
  11. I can fanwank they kept some babies alive for experimentation, and they were liberated before anyone could do anything to the baby. I'm only here for Judd Hirsch though. Didn't care for him in Taxi but the man can do no wrong since Independence Day. I'm that shallow. I do like police procedurals too so I'm in for now.
  12. That is one thing that bugs (or worms) in this show. We see attacks, crazy ones, in broad daylight. There's no military response, no real effort to fight these things off. If they want to argue "the internet is down" well, WTF did we do before the internet and cell phones? You know, the dark ages like WW1, WW2, or shoot, the entire 70's when there was any disaster? People are just looting and hiding away? I mean, Gus's mom worked somewhere where they answered the phone and presumed she was sick or stuck in traffic. Seriously?
  13. Eph has to be the least likable lead since Andrea on TWD. His kid is at least a little better than Carl was at a similar age. I presume having a genius doctor for a dad means the kid has a brain in his head. Although a lot of geniuses have zero survival skills, so there's that. I still watch primarily for Fet and Abraham. I have to say even Gus the hoodrat works better as a slayer than Eph. Eph would look a lot better without the wig and the constant tantrums. I guess we have to have hair ala Brenden Frasier in the Mummy movies. Looks more "romantic lead". I'd take capable Bruce Willis bald over mopey mop any day.
  14. I love this show despite the shitstorm of bad story lines. Not necessarily bad, but too drawn out. I had at least two too many episodes of crazy Branch, and at least two too few episodes of Henry and Walt being friends. Their banter is great. I know people who are like Walt, with such a strong sense of right and wrong they appear to always be right. They think they can do anything despite their age so end up injured every now and then. He's somewhat believable for the tv screen. Corruption can be rampant in small towns too, I'm okay with the corrupt reoccurring characters. I just think things get too much attention that shouldn't, while the more interesting subplots get neglected. I'm okay with the case of the week as long as the show remains more about the characters and their interactions. I am dying to know if Branch is still alive, as this show could go either way. I could see a season of Walt investigating Branch's death, and slooowly uncovering his dads corruption. And it ain't pretty.
  15. Yup, wrote that way too soon. I cannot believe we are going to have a fight over psychic vs bible. Alrighty then.
  16. I'm actually really liking this franchise-not so obviously contrived, not so much meanness and squabbling just for spite. I will definitely give this a second chance.
  17. Ok I am incredibly, embarrassingly stoked for this new season. I love that Beverly Hills is getting real actresses, it just fits this particular show. Kyle and Kim's meetups with colleagues, background shots, etc make so much more sense to me than Tamra or Alexis on RHOC filming segments acting like they are actresses too(even though I know they are, since they are reality show actors). It gives us a break from contrived meet ups and dinner parties from hell. I'll be DVRing this season for the first time since season 2.
  18. I am really going to miss this show if it's gone for good. I hope they can figure out a way to save it.
  19. I am glad they caught the suspect, but wow-they seem to have had evidence at the time and didn't get an arrest. I hope for the daughters sake they finally are able to put him in jail permanently. It was a definite trip to the seedy side of life. I like that they focus on people who otherwise wouldn't get a lot of publicity for their cases.
  20. I wondered if Walt was allowed to judge as Henrys "family", continuing the "family is what you feel about each other more than blood" theme they also used at the trial? I was waiting for everyone to realize again that Branch is loaded, since it was a reoccurring theme last year. I was glad to see Branch offer it so willingly. I hope that the actual loan part remains pure. They have angst a' plenty on this show, I like Henry as honorable and worth betting your money on. I would hate for them to ruin that just for a plot point.
  21. I thought the scars were from when he had hooks in his back or something along those lines, after his wife died and he was doing an atonement or cleansing of some sort?
  22. I am so glad this series is back. It makes me feel slightly smarter that I watch it-you have to think from episode to episode to follow all of the twists.. On a shallow note,Vic's look when Walt took his shirt off was priceless.
  23. I was rewatching season one not too long ago, and caught the episode where Lauri was pushing Vicki to try Botox and Vicki was so resistant. Vicki looks very very different this season. Not necessarily bad different, but I always thought her dimples were her best feature, and they're not really as prominent anymore. I guess everyone ages and it's hard in front of the camera. I do like her new hairdo she has now(it's on her Instagram, I don't think she has it shorter onscreen yet.)
