  1. Pretty sure that shot of Felicity is when Oliver's making his presentation-not a reaction to Ray. Based on one of EBR's Instagrams from filming the pilot, I don't think she an Ray like each other right away.
  2. True, I just thought for a mission she'd infiltrate the store and take whatever name tag was there, which likely wouldn't be Felicity. Unless she applied for a job there as part if a long game, which seems complicated.
  3. The only thing that makes me think it isn't is that her actual name is on her name tag.
  4. Maybe we should watch before we get all upset about it? It's a 2-second shot with absolutely no context. For all we know, Felicity took the job as a stopgap and ended up liking doing something non-corporate for a while. Or, it could be a ridiculous scenario, who even knows.
  5. Ah, thanks for that. I guess that gives her a pretty good reason to go back to QC.
  6. I was hoping that she was there as part of a mission-I even tried to see if I could make out the name on her name tag, haha.
  7. I'm not a fan of love triangles either, but I don't have it in me to get down about any of it before I actually see it play out on screen. For better or worse, this show almost never does what I think it will (or, at least, in the way I think it'll do it). So, I'll wait impatiently for what's coming.
  8. This is based on nothing, but I wouldn't be surprised if Barry and Felicity's "date" is a ruse for her and Barry to get a read on Iris's boyfriend. I think they'll address the unresolved thing between them, but that the double date isn't real on their end. IMO, her appearance on that ep is to officially tie up that story line (and to get Felicity fans to watch The Flash), so I don't know that I'd still classify Barry as a love interest.
  9. I don't mind them generally speaking, and I know there's been some disagreement over this, but I really do think the boob window dresses are pushing it in a professional environment. Not trying to be a prude or anything - I think it's fine for a date night or whatever. I've seen people in and around my office complex wearing all manner of dresses, but I've never seen anything like that. And she's in a professional environment here, which might be fueling my dislike of it too.
  10. Laurel wore more casual (cute, IMO) clothes when she was working at CNRI (which goes along with that non-profit job, I know). Her DA wardrobe leaves a lot to be desired. And yeah, I know they're trendy or whatever, but the boob window dresses are awful.
  11. This is going to come off catty and I honestly don't mean it that way, but her clothes on the show always seem to fit weird in the boob area. IDK if it's something to do with her posture or just bad CW tailoring, because the clothes that she wears on her site don't seem to have that same issue. It could be the cut of the clothes or maybe blazers just aren't her thing. Oliver looks like he saw them as he was walking by and decided to just mosey on over into the background of Lance's press conference so he could say hello.
  12. Looks like Channel 52 news is totally getting scooped, and after their hard-hitting reporting during the mirakurocalypse and ARGUS invasion, no less? What a shame. Also, Laurel looks so Stepford here, it's creepy.
  13. Haha, yes. She lost her job because of it at the end of that episode.
  14. And strangely enough, of course the alcoholic/addict is the only person on this show who can actually hit her target when she's shooting a gun.
  15. Perhaps Nyssa's impressed with Laurel's physical resistance to the effects of a second tranquilizer dart?
  16. The very last scene was Oliver waking up in Hong Kong, so maybe that? I know I was ecstatic to see him finally rid of Lian Yu (at least for a little bit).
  17. He's probably not fed up per se, just a little tired of talking about the same thing over and over again, especially when there's limited information he can really even give out about it. I imagine it'd be the same if people were repeatedly asking him about any other aspect of the show.
  18. AK said 8 at Comic Con I think, but then there was an interview with MG today about season 2.5 where he said it was 5 months, so I'm all discombobulated about it. Eight would make sense if Lyla was newly, NEWLY pregnant, but 5 would make more sense if she'd known for a bit and maybe the Digglet came early. I suppose it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, I just wish they'd get their stories straight.
  19. See, I don't have a problem with Oliver having a relationship with Sara even if he had recognized his feelings for Felicity, because in his mind (even if the reasoning was absolutely stupid), he couldn't go there. What's the point in pining away for something you keep telling yourself you can't have? It's not really all that fair to Sara, true, but she was kissing Nyssa in the street at the beginning of HttD (which Oliver saw, btw), so I don't think either one of them was very heavily invested, even with the "moving in" thing. I think Oliver saw that as a utilitarian arrangement (they both needed a place to live and they were together, so why not find a place to live together), and Sara gently reminded him of how the offer came across. I do wish they would've addressed the whole "because of the life I lead" issue in-story, because it was both confusing and stupid. And it didn't serve the story very well, because it made Oliver look like he was either lying to Felicity to spare her feelings (even though I absolutely do not think she ever thought he was referring to her as a "person [he] could really care about"), or didn't really care about Sara. Dumb story choice, still mad about it. It would've been more of a character issue for me if Oliver had specifically told Felicity he couldn't be with HER because of his Arrowing, but...IDK, if I try hard enough I can handwave it. I'm glad they seem to be sticking with the one-woman thing for Oliver this season if he admits his feelings to Felicity - that could be one of the lessons learned from season 2. But I agree with the posters above, I totally buy them getting closer and I do buy them being at a point in the premiere where they would go out on a date/be in love/whatever they wind up doing, I just hope they show us a little bit and/or explain what they've been doing over the five or seven months or however long it ends up being since the EPs keep giving different timelines.
  20. She said that she couldn't be Thea Queen anymore, because Thea Queen was trusting, and she doesn't trust anyone. And she told him not to look for her because he wouldn't find her - she was never coming back. Seems like information Oliver might want to have, but Roy's a bit dim, so...
  21. From the script they must have sent her to see if she was interested?
  22. Oh, I don't think it's specifically because of Olicity, and I didn't mean to imply that it was, although I can see why it would be read that way. I think time jumps in general are mostly lazy, because it allows the writer to start in a place while being able to throw out only a line or two as to how they got there, and I think the "real-time" premise on this show is kind of stupid anyway, since it doesn't always stick to that (the last three eps of the season being over the course of one night, for example). I get why they do it, but...yeah. I'm not a fan. And my not being a fan of it this year is partly due to them trying to make me pay to read about what happens during the hiatus when IMO at least some of it should be shown on screen. I'll hold off final judgment until I watch the premiere though, because it's possible they'll address it in a satisfactory way.
  23. Oh, I don't doubt that they did grow closer, and I totally buy it without having seen it, but like SmallScreenDiva, I WANT to see it. Especially since Oliver's feelings for Felicity are supposed to be part of his character arc throughout the season. The last we saw of him he was standing on a beach not ready to outright acknowledge how he felt about her to (based on what the EPs and SA have said) flat-out telling her. And we miss all the in-between stuff. Which is fine if it's for a B story, like, I'm not crushed I won't get to see exactly what happened to Lance or exactly what happened after Sara left, but they're putting their main character on a path that we missed the first ten steps of. And if they continue releasing these "chapters" bi-weekly, we won't even get to the final installment of it until this time next year. I think that ultimately the time jump is due to lazy writing. They want to get into all the "good stuff" without doing most of the work to get there. Will it ruin my experience of the show? Probably not. But I still wish I got to see some of this instead of having to pay what amounts to $24 to read about it WAY after the fact. Tacky.
  24. I guess I just don't understand how these comics lay the groundwork for this season when we'll only get to read 3 out of 24 chapters before the season airs?
