  1. SA ultimately has no power here. He's under contract, and as a professional it's within his best interest to represent the show to the best of his ability. He's doing that. It would be foolish for him to try to get out of his contract a) because he's the lead of the show - it's never, EVER going to happen, and b) it reflects poorly if he doesn't toe the company line, especially if he wants steady work like this in the future. For all we know he actually likes the direction the show is going in but is disappointed that fans don't feel the same way, so he's not posting as much because he's tired of negativity. Maybe he hates it. Maybe he's working weirder hours than he did before, maybe he's getting burnt out. We'll never know, unless he decides to write a tell-all down the line.
  2. I don't think any of them were compensated by Oliver for their contributions to the Team - I like that they do it on a voluntary basis. I like to think Oliver's way of thanking them was to keep Felicity in the latest tech, and keep Diggle in...whatever it is that he loves.
  3. I don't think it was a joke. Especially since he went on to tell Diggle that he couldn't afford anything just two minutes later. No way. He gets tons of time off for the same salary, and he's still the lead of the show. Plus, there's the whole second half of the season to consider - hopefully after they have Laurel in costume and Sara's murder solved she'll fade back a bit and Oliver can take center stage again, especially since SA said the growing number of superheroes at the end of the season would play into Oliver's mindset (or however it was phrased).
  4. Do you happen to have a link to any?
  5. Even if he had offered to support her, Felicity never would've allowed it. What does seem douchey is Oliver letting her buy him a bed if he had $4 million dollars laying around. This show, I swear.
  6. Maybe it's to do with some kind of announcement of the co-generation thing he was having her work on in 3x05, and he's going to make her head of that project at this announcement? Since it seems to be a philanthropic thing, I can see why Dig and Oliver would maybe go to show their support. Oliver could find her in her office after, when Ray isn't around - maybe he offers to take her to dinner to celebrate, and she tells him she has plans with Ray? As far as SA not having shot with BR, there could be crowd scenes with Oliver and Digg in the background that were shot apart from the actual announcement, hence Oliver being "around" Ray, but not being in an actual scene with him (maybe?).
  7. IIRC, they have an equipment and costume supplier that Digg deals with in Bludhaven. It's explained in those damn 2.5 comics.
  8. I mean...it's just one picture. She was in the foundry all of what...a minute or two last ep? Someone could've taken a Foundry Fridays pic of that and we could've thought "OMG SHE'S DOWN THERE!!111! AGAIN!!!11!" and it's nothing. I know she's going to be around more, and I know her role is increasing, and yeah, I'm not looking forward to what looks like 2-3 episodes without Oliver, but I'll see how it plays out. I have no idea what the circumstances surrounding any of this is - it's pointless getting disheartened and worrying about it until I watch it and I maybe hate it. Then it's time to get disheartened and worry about it IMO.
  9. Not even gonna get worked up over it until I see what's actually happening.
  10. Yeah, I wrote something similar above. I think they just wanted Laurel to have a "We used to date" line, so she did. Honestly, I won't get too picky about it because I felt so relieved after - I was certain that the "nice moment" or whatever the EPs said O&L were going to have was going to be related to that line - like Oliver was going to try to convince her that their relationship deserved a summary that was...more than that or something. My relief was so strong I couldn't bring myself to care about the rest, haha.
  11. I'm not worried about someone else being brought in when Ray doesn't "work." Ray isn't supposed to work, that's the whole point of him. He's the perfect-on-paper guy Felicity's going to realize she doesn't want. He's around to propel Oliver to action regarding Felicity and Queen Consolidated (and to be another superhero plaything for the writers).
  12. Ultimately I think the writers thought it would be cute if she said "we used to date," so she said "we used to date" and damn the consequences.
  13. I don't think she even gave a second thought to whether or not she was giving away his identity (I'm not even sure if she cared at the moment), which I thought was another entry onto the long list of reasons why she couldn't or shouldn't be a vigilante that this point in time: she's careless, and she doesn't think.
  14. Ted didn't kill the guy, did he? I thought it was his partner. I think she made sure he wouldn't get prosecuted for the vigilantism.
  15. Why would having dated the Arrow impress Ted? Seemed like he thought Oliver was a hypocritical little shit. I think she just gave the quickest answer to explain how they knew each other.
  16. The Arrow is Oliver Queen, and she did date Oliver Queen, regardless of how long ago or how much he's gone through since then.
  17. Oliver IS a hypocrite though; he's always been one, it's not something new. And he's allowed to tell Laurel not to be a vigilante just like she's allowed to ignore the hell out of him, haha.
  18. I wrote "as long as they're interesting," haha Oh, she knows. It is an utter writing fail if she doesn't. Which...okay, maybe she doesn't.
  19. I honestly don't care whose flashbacks we get as long as they're interesting. Nothing could be worse than the island for me.
  20. He asked which ep was next, and it seemed like he was doing some calculations in his head to figure out which ep the scene happened in, so he was talking kind of slowly - I think that's why he looks like that. He was a little subdued throughout parts of the show, but he answered a lot of questions in the same way, not just this one.
  21. In the Arrow companion comics, yes, per the EPs.
  22. Unless they're going to show that this Cupid thing isn't new, and the Cupid part is also a flashback from that night. I just can't believe Felicity and Diggle would just so happen to be wearing the exact same thing they wore in a previous episode unless it's a flashback.
  23. And then fire her immediately for that ridiculous ponytail.
