  1. They're all terrible investigators this season; they're the last people who should be trying to find Sara's killer.
  2. She's always done that though. She's headstrong, it's one of the few of Laurel's qualities the writers of this show are actually consistent with.
  3. But the OOC behavior didn't even have anything to do with Laurel - it was part of Roy's storyline. None of that made Laurel look good because she wasn't involved in any of it.
  4. Getting kidnapped is old hat for Laurel at this point, no point in her getting all worked up over it.
  5. Yeah, I liked it too. Things I liked about this ep: 1. The boxing glove arrow 2. Oliver's line about the steganography 3. Cupid 4. Oliver being kind of a good mentor to Roy (even though he let him go on thinking he murdered Sara for way too long, like...wouldn't the first thing you did be to help him remember? Failure). The rest? Bleh.
  6. Yeah, I get it. We missed out on a lot over the hiatus. We also apparently missed out on when Dig was captured by body snatchers and replaced with a pod person. That was my favorite part of the whole episode, haha.
  7. Aww, I actually like it. It makes sense to me. Ever since Oliver brought him in he's had a soft spot for Roy, although I guess the buildup of this relationship is yet another that suffered from the hiatus.
  8. I guess that he told her he looks out for her because he cares about her? I'm not sure if that was supposed to be it or not.
  9. I'm actually really tired of watching Laurel and Oliver at odds with each other, especially since it's over the stupidest things just to CREATE that drama. And I think Oliver's pretty controlling in general, but I do agree with him on this point - she really doesn't understand what she's getting into, and she is going to get herself and others hurt - I get that he thinks Sara wouldn't approve and in a way he's honoring her memory. Seems like he's not going to be a dick about it anymore, and I'm glad because for a second there when they were in the hospital I thought he was going to offer to train her. I guess most of her training is going to be happening off camera now? And as a positive - at least Laurel didn't actively try to murder Roy the hot second he admitted that he thought he killed Sara? I guess I'll count that as an improvement. Not a fan of Diggle wanting Oliver to let Roy loose (that's not good mentoring, dude), although I am a fan of the way Oliver handled the situation with Roy. Overall though I thought this was a pretty terrible ep though. I don't care enough about Ted Grant to care about his and Oliver's parallels. I loved that they had Cupid in the background of the crime scene at the gym though. Next week's ep looks more entertaining.
  10. That was honestly the worst episode of this show I've ever watched, second only to "The Promise" which was equally terrible but not as boring. And I'm really tired of all of these characters I fell in love with acting OOC and/or stupid because of this murder "mystery." I'm so disappointed. He hit a boxer with a boxing glove arrow, yes.
  11. To be fair, the timeline IS really confusing. It's supposed to be real time, and sometimes it is, but sometimes it's not? It's difficult to know where exactly we are. Now, people should know it hasn't been MONTHS, but I understand why they wouldn't realize it was supposed to be real time.
  12. I only watch Arrow and The Flash. So, Arrow is #1 for me, only because the level of investment I have in the characters far surpasses that of those on The Flash. I do find The Flash to be a much more entertaining show, and I enjoy it a lot more because I'm not really worried about them ruining anything because at this point I don't care that much.
  13. It might - none of the tweets specified when exactly she'd don the costume (even though the articles did mention it).
  14. I'll withhold judgment until I see how it actually plays out. Until I know exactly why Oliver's gone or what role Laurel's filling on the team (still not convinced she's going to be "in charge" if she's just suiting up in ep 10), etc., I don't want to get too up-in-arms over it yet. Not really looking forward to her becoming a bigger part of the team based on the interactions I've seen so far, but...not much I can do about that.
  15. The "it's one area of the show that at least some people are interested in," reads like no one's interested in any other areas of the show. Like, 'our storylines are boring and all over the place, but at least some people are interested in Olicity!' Again, I know he didn't mean it like that, but that's how it reads to me.
  16. Yeah, I don't expect her to be a full-fledged fighter off the bat. And I will say that I really hope her putting on this costume isn't to fool Lance. If it is, the rage Tweeting and anger from me will be EPIC. Both things aside, I'm really wondering how long we're supposed to watch her struggle and do dumb shit and still want to root for her? The show has gone out of its way to show that she's an incompetent, and they'll probably go out of their way to make her incompetent when she puts on the suit, but...how long can I watch her do this and still want her to succeed, even if I did like her to begin with? My gut reaction wouldn't be, "Yes, finally! A victory!" it would probably be, "Girl, just give it up."
  17. It will probably be awkward as hell. I wasn't going to watch because I don't really find the aftershow that entertaining, but I'm gonna tune in tonight.
  18. I love how he worded this, because I know he didn't mean it this way but he made it sound like O/F is the only thing that people are interested in, haha. I wrote this earlier, but what MG said doesn't bother me. I don't think O/F have been ruined so far, and I'll reserve judgment until I see what happens. What he says and what happens in the show are often two very different things. Apart from them not having very many interactions for two eps (which I believe was mainly because this show crams so much stuff into 43 minutes), they've still been written like the couple I started shipping, with just a lil' river of hurt between them. I'm actually pretty excited for the next ep (not this one - it seems like a one-way train to Snoozeville).
  19. That she does. And I wonder how many RTs have a "no thanks" attached, because that's mostly what I saw on my timeline.
  20. Yeah, they're able to do the relatively unpopular thing (Laurel as BC, and so quickly) for the most part because they're doing the relatively popular thing (Oliver/Felicity). They're hoping fans of one will tune in despite the other, even though I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't give a rip about either. O/L has been a drag since the beginning - it's one of the lasting criticisms about the 1st season. I don't see them sinking a popular ship to go back to that failure of a relationship, and canon gives them room to breathe in the BC/GA romance department.
  21. And surely the people who arranged this photo shoot do too, which makes me wonder, just....why?
  22. I know I'm probably being naive, but this is actually one of the very few things that I'm not worried about on this show. They've been so heavy-handed with the O/F symbolism that I really do think that O/L are no longer in the cards - canon gives them the room to put that romantic relationship to rest. I can see a scenario where the EPs believe Oliver isn't fully transformed into a good man until the woman he screwed over time and again forgives him and gives it another go, but they can easily show that forgiveness without having them get into a relationship again. This is me wishful thinking, because that is legit the only dealbreaker with me where this show is concerned. Either Oliver gets back together with Laurel or I lose interest because it's gone way off the rails.
