Manzo'd With Children - General Discussion
movingtargetgal replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Manzo'd With Children
The Manzo's are a blue collar family who happen to have money. Albert's father, Tiny Manzo, established the Brownstone with money he earned by being a mob enforcer. One can launder a lot of money in the restaurant business. Lauren may think she married a blue collar deli owner who is beneath her but the reality is that she married up from her family. -
For Cleveland fans' sake, I hope you stay in your master room the whole game in game 7. All those coincidences are eerie. He is talking about banishing me from our home. :) I kind of owe him because during the 1999 alds Cleveland was playing the Red Sox. I had a work function the I needed my then boyfriend to attend with me. He had to sit in a hotel bar with a room full of Sox fans watching the game with my boss and coworkers while they beat the Tribe 23-7. He will never get over the indignity of it all but he still married me.

So basically Sonny shoots Carly in the head while she is giving birth and she has a brain injury that causes a personality change because of it. The shooter takes it personally and makes it all about him and sets out to punish his victim/wife for having been shot in the head while she was giving birth! That Sonny, he truly is a good man.....barf.

Just came out of my room to get a cup of tea..........Cubs hit a grand slam. Mr. Moving is looking for a lock to keep me in our bedroom for the duration. :) I am NEVER going to live it down. That grand slam will be my fault for eternity.

Manzo'd With Children - General Discussion
movingtargetgal replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Manzo'd With Children
Vito is smart in not going along with Albie;s Manhattan sandwich shop scheme. He was realistic about the commute, cost of real estate, and the fact that deli's are a dime a dozen in NYC. This venture would take over a million dollars to get off the ground. That is an insane risk. Vito does not seem to be one for the get rich quick scheme. Unlike Albie, he is a hard worker and is willing to take the longer and slower road to success. He will do what it takes to get to where he wants himself and family to be. I just hope Lauren does not ruin everything by pushing Vito because she wants everything now. -
Don't hate me, but I can see a Bridge reunion down the road. However, they would need to recast Ridge for it to work. TK's version of Ridge is too much of an abusive douche bag to work in ANY coupling. Even with Caridge he was controlling and browbeat Caroline into doing things his way. I always thought he was trying to replace Caroline the first with her namesake. That relationship was beyond creepy. I like the suggestion of Jon Hensley as a recast for Ridge. I think he and KKL would have good chemistry.

WHAT! When did this happen? How did I miss this storyline? More info please. I'll keep checking the History thread for answers.

S03.E03: Chapter Forty-Seven
movingtargetgal replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Jane The Virgin [V]
So now that it has been established that Jane and Michael had an active premarital sex life, with the exception of P and V penetration, should the show have been titled "Jane the Technical Virgin"? :) -
Charlotte's tantrum gave me a flashback to the first time I took my 3 year old niece shopping and I would not buy her a toy. That angelic child turned into a demon in 5 seconds. Her face turned red to blue, ear drums were bursting and worse everyone in the store was staring at us. I was so humiliated, embarrassed and terrified of the child. I really felt for the poor priest, doctor, and new daddy. He did not know if she needed a hug from her daddy, a chill pill from the doctor or an exorcism from the priest.

Mr Moving and I live in NH but he was born and raised in Cleveland. I can't wait for the WS to end because it has turned my hubby into a superstitious mess. I am banned from every room in our house except for the master bedroom because he says every time I leave the room the Cubs score! Last night I did leave the room 3 times and all 3 times the Cubs did score. Hubby thinks I am cursing the Tribe. I need the Tribe to get this done tomorrow night so I can be free to roam about my house.

They need to do an "It's a Wonderful Life" episode where it show's what would happen if Sonny were never born. It would show they everyone would have been happier and so much better off without him. Then Sonny could be free to do Port Charles a favor and end his sorry existence.

Yes Robin, Sonny was so great to Stone. However, what about how he treated your friend Karen. Sonny exploited her history of being sexually abused, got her hooked on drugs, got her to become a stripper at his club, slept with her and when she finally got the strength to leave him, Sonny tried to kill her. Sonny also tried to kill your friend Jax in front of you, in your living room and shot you by mistake. Oh, he did this while your young daughter was in the house and when she heard the shot Emma came down stairs, saw Sonny with a gun and her mother standing there bleeding. Yet you insist on propping up Sonny no matter what he does to other people? You need to stop looking at Sonny thru Stone goggles and open your eyes and look at Sonny as he REALLY is.

Rhodes Scholar Reporting the News Show Discussion

I really like Tim Kaine. He reminds me of a great neighbor who always is helping the other families next door. You know he has great BBQs and invites the whole neighborhood. On the other hand Pence is that grouchy neighbor who keeps to himself except when he is yelling at the little kids to keep them off his lawn.- 2.1k replies

Both Scott and Julian were 100% right in what they said to Carly and Sonny. They were lousy selfish parents and the "misbegotten runt" was a result. They are ultimately responsible for how screwed up Morgan was. I really wish that when Carly was calling Julian a murderer and complaining how he got away with it, Julian would have said "Sonny is all those things and more, Why is it you and your fellow Sonny worshipers can't wrap your brains around that fact?".

S07.E15: Nama'Stay Away from Me

I would pay good money to have a ringside seat when it happens. The perv has had it coming for years. -
I love the Big Three, their parents, Randall's family and William. They are all "good people" who have their flaws but love each other warts and all. Toby rubs me the wrong way. He is very overbearing, controlling and gives off a stalkery vibe to me.

Yep Marigold you understood him perfectly. Richie went there multiple times, incest and all. I think sometimes when a decent person hears a pervert say something so gross it is their instinct to think that they misheard what the perv said. Don't feel bad about not "getting it" the first time. I rewinded a few times after I heard it. I'm sure a lot of viewers had the same reaction. Why is Bravo still putting this pervert on air? -

If Richie is this gross and perverted when he knows he is being filmed for a national tv show, I don't want to know how awful he is when he knows he is not being watched. -
S03.E02: Chapter Forty-Six

Alba's wallpaper was beyond horrible. I loved the last scene with the three women tearing it off the wall. Back in the 1080's my mother hired a designer who talked her into putting up this horrible multi colored 4 inch squares design wallpaper. The night the painters put it up, my mother was beside herself and could not stop crying. She called her two best friends over and the three of us tried to comfort her, but it was no use. We spent the evening tearing the wallpaper off. It was the first adult bonding experience my mother and I had. -
I have a bit of a cold and I dozed on and off during today's show. When Carly was yelling at KiKi I shouted "Shut up Carly" at the tv. Mr. Moving starting laughing at me and woke me up. He is the one that always shouts that when Carly is you know being Carly. The two of us began to wonder, how many other viewers shout "Shut up Carly" at their tv. Show of hands?

I love the way the Gorgas are supporting Teresa and the girls. It was a small gesture but Melissa snatching the phone and Joe going out to get Milania to slow down on the four wheeler showed Teresa, a newly "single" parent, that they will be their to back her up. Between her in laws and her brother and sister in law Teresa has a great support system behind her. She and the girls will need them and it warms my heart to see them come through for Teresa and her girls. -
I remember way back before the HOSPICE movement hit the mainstream, doctors were afraid to give too much pain medication to terminal patients because they did not want their patients to become drug addicts. There was a concern that these pain meds could shorten the patient's life. Terminal patients, in the last days of their lives, were allowed to remain in agonizing pain because of this philosophy. Ten years ago when my grandmother was dying from lung cancer (those f**king cigarettes) HOSPICE helped us care for her. Pain management was the major part of her care. We all agreed that grandma would not be in pain and we were able to give her pain meds as needed. She died peacefully at home with her family around her. The fact that we could help ease her pain gave us so much comfort during those awful days. I can't imagine having to watch my beloved grandmother cry out in pain as she lay dying. On the other side, doctor's over prescribing opioids to their patients is a real problem. There are many unethical doctors out there who see patients like they are on an assembly line, handing out "legal" prescriptions for these drugs. Patients will also "doctor shop" and go to multiple physicians and hospitals to get their "needs" met. As regulations and monitoring of these drugs have made it more difficult for addicts to obtain the "legal" drugs, the market for heroin and other illegal drugs has skyrocketed. Last year I went to pharmacy I had never been to before to get my ambien refilled. I had to show them my driver's licence. It came back on the computer that it was 3 days too soon for me to get the prescription filled and with a red pen the pharmacist wrote "can not be filled until ...". I felt a little like a criminal. All I wanted to do was save myself an extra trip and to fill my prescription while I was in the same store doing my food shopping. The pharmacist apologized and explained about how strict the new laws are. Before then I had heard of the increased use of heroin on the streets but I had not understood why. It was an eyeopener for me.
