Darlene Conley and her Sally Spectra brought so much energy and "Boldness" to the show and it has not recovered from Conley's death. Sally is a larger than life character and on the surface it can seem "wrong" to bring her back via an actress in a red wig doing a so so impression of our Sally. However, seeing Sally talking to "little" Sally on the phone filled my cold heart with so much joy. Bringing back the next generation of Spectras is just what this show needs.

I know Megan Markle is a real person and an actress playing a role. However, every time I saw "Rachel" on my tv screen I just kept thinking "This bland piece of wood is the woman who stole the heart of Europe's most eligible bachelor?". I am so shallow.

Tracy, Brad, Hayden and Monica(?) are all aware that Finn was treating himself with a highly addictive street drug for years. Once he was "cured" of his illness, why did they not insist that he get treatment for his physical and psychological dependence to this dangerous drug? At the very least he should have gone through a medically supervised (inpatient) detox. Monica should have insisted on this before Finn returned to GH.

I have always wondered about this. I absolutely HATE black pepper, to me it makes everything bitter. However, some people like black pepper so much that restaurants have a waiter go from table to table with a pepper mill asking dinners if they want fresh ground pepper on their salads and entrees. Some people like a lot of spice in their food, others like blander foods. It is all about personal preference.

There are no established boundaries set buy management (Joey). The staff acts as if the lodge is their parents house and the parents have left their teenagers home alone for a long weekend.

As a house rental without the employees and in the off season when this was filmed, Mark said it was May, where you don't need to be close to the slopes but never during the season and i would pay ok money. I think TCL should pay the guests for putting up with the staff. However, I think Jamie and Louise are great and would not lump them in with the rest of the staff.

As Jamie closed the door of the lodge tonight I looked at my hubby and said "Eight episodes and I did not see a single example of the 5-star service TCL was bragging about." Mr. Moving was shocked "THIS is 5-star service...it is more like white trash service from a bunch of high schoolers. The lodge was total crap. I've stayed in better Holiday Inns". I want to ask my fellow snarkers, Would you pay good money to stay at TCL?

Menzel's version of Wind Beneath My Wings was lacking any emotion. The Bette Midler version caused people to cry BUCKETS of tears. When I saw Beaches in the movie theater I became a puddle when I heard that song. Tonight my eyes were totally dry.

YES! We all know that Mac Scorpio is the best dad ever and would be able to put Charlotte's needs first. I am glad Maxie and Nathan finally got to have their wedding. I was really disappointed with their first dance song. Ever since I heard Robbie Williams version of "Have You Met Miss Jones" I have wanted to see Maxie and her groom dance to it for their first dance.

This is what they came up with to redeem Julian after they totally trash his character last year. I thought you guys had your own maple syrup, like, somewhere in Vermont. NOw, if you said you were coming to get our poutine or back bacon, I could understand. Yum, maple syrup. We live in NH and have several Maple trees. Every spring our neighbor tap the trees, cooks the sap and gives us at least a gallon of syrup. I love spring.

So now DEWQ has a shrine. Olivia is again going after Anna to get "justice" for DEWQ. Anna is going after Julian to get "justice" for DEWQ and the unborn baby that she lost. Maybe Olivia being back from the dead will remind Anna that it was she, not Julian, who killed her and DEWQ's baby. Anna can get her DEWQ's revenge done and over with and kill Olivia so we never need to hear that Scottish mobster's name again.

S03.E08: The Ladies in The High Castle
movingtargetgal replied to OnceSane's topic in Ladies Of London [V]
Until last night I had not realized that Marissa was only six weeks past from her C-Section/ Hysterectomy. Last year I had emergency major abdominal surgery and it took me several months to recover and I did not have a newborn and two other children to worry about or hormone imbalance to deal with. I could not get it through my head that my body had been through a trauma and it needed time to heal. Like Marissa, I just wanted to get on with my life and I did too much too soon. I so wanted to get back to "normal life" and to put the emotional trauma of my almost dying behind me. I was lucky to have a very supportive husband and wonderful friends that helped me heal both physically and emotionally. If I had "friends" like Juliet and CarolineS I would have fallen apart too. These two had to be told that Marissa was in a bad emotional place. It did not dawn on them that Marissa may not be able to handle all of their petty bullshit? Neither of them possess an ounce of empathy.- 46 replies

I wonder what Nell would say to Michael's murdering his stepmother, going to prison and getting raped.

Robin Scorpio is the heart of General Hospital. The powers that be should bend over backwards to give KMc whatever she wants or needs to come back permanently.

That's a great story. It has some similarities to a bit in a recent revival series about two girls in a Connecticut hamlet. Only yours is better. That's just because my Grampie was THE BESTEST EVER!

Friendly's Ice Cream was a big part of my childhood. It started when my grandfather caught me playing hookie from religion class. Did he punish me, give me a good talking to...no he brought me to Friendly's for ice cream. After that, he would pick me up every Monday night and drive me to "class" and we would have an ice cream "date". My mother did not find out until I told the story at my grandfather's memorial service. As a family we went to Friendly's to celebrate special occasions. You could buy a half gallon "gallon of ice cream" to take home. The grocery stores only had the usual chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Friendly's is where you could go to get a better variety of ice cream flavors.

Because of high winds, our cable box kept cutting out during today's show....or so we thought. Mr. Moving has come to the conclusion that this show is SO bad that the cable box has become disgusted and in an act of protest is shutting itself off.

A lot of people, including me, have given Marissa the side eye because she left Sade in the care of a nurse and went to the Hamptons for the weekend. I now think that Marissa was encouraged to take a few days away because of the postnatal depression she was suffering from. A change of scenery and a chance to sleep in and relax can help, although it is not a cure for postnatal depression. I am no longer judging Marissa for going to the Hamptons.
-
Marissa seems to be dealing with postnatal depression. Between her traumatic pregnancy and hysterectomy she is in hormone hell and is totally physically and emotionally exhausted. The last thing she needed was to be subjected to CarolineS and her minion Juliet. It was appalling that these two self centered woman could not see how Marissa was struggling. Neither of these women have an ounce of empathy.

S15.E03: Fire Up That Chopper
movingtargetgal replied to MarkHB's topic in The Celebrity Apprentice [V]
Right. I saw her on some show talking about Flipping houses. She talked about still being viewed by some people like she's still on jersey shore. It was interesting. She said, she has just grown up. I got that. Most of us aren't the same at 30 that we were at 21. Years ago when my niece introduced me to (made me watch) Jersey Shore I really disliked all of the cast and I resented that I could never get that hour of my life back. However, I have recently seen interviews with Nicole (the girl formally known as Snookie) and was pleased to see she survived her turbulent twenties and has matured into a wonderful woman. Watching her on CA I have grown to like her. She did break down last night not because she was being weak but because she is a genuinely nice person and did not have it in her to go in for the kill just to win a game. I am sure she is strong enough to fight for herself and her family when it really matters. She seems to have the wisdom and maturity to pick her battles in life. Nicole should be proud of herself. She was able to walk away with her dignity and self respect in tact.- 61 replies

Some babies who are born prematurely have issues regarding their immune systems and if they become ill it can be dangerous. The Nanny took a hard line to protect Sade. As I said earlier in this thread my friend had a nurse to help her with her one year old twin girls and her premature son. The nurse was very strict with visitors when they came to see the baby but my friend was grateful that the nurse took the heat off of her so she did not have to be the bad guy. The nurse was a godsend for her when it came to her chain smoking in laws.

Many decades ago Julian shot Olivia in the head. Helena was into cryogenics. What if Helena, knowing that her body would not go on forever, had her brain transplanted into Olivia's body? Tonya Walker could be coming back as an Olivia/Helena hybrid. Stranger things have happened on this show.

All Episodes Talk: Lorelai and Rory and the People They Love
movingtargetgal replied to solotrek's topic in Gilmore Girls
I started disliking Rory when she met Logan. The way she treated Marty when Logan showed up during their movie night was horrible. Instead of telling Logan that she had plans with Marty and that he should call first next time, she dragged Marty along on her "date" with Logan and friends. She gave no consideration that Marty would be uncomfortable and unable to afford the outing. Rory was really cruel to Marty and she showed how thoughtless and selfish she was. I think her relationship with Logan brought out the Lorelai and Emily in her. Both her mother and grandmother can be very thoughtless and selfish. -
Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds
movingtargetgal replied to maraleia's topic in HBO Documentaries
I am hard hearted because I have not one ounce of sympathy for Eddie Fisher. He was a selfish man who threw away his family. Many people get divorced and remarry, however, he seemed to have divorced his kids as well as his wife. He caused his children and most likely everyone who loved him nothing but pain. Karma got him in the end.- 79 replies
