  1. Someone please fill me in on what happened after Hanna got with Caleb after the snooping with Mona. My DISH got cut off due to storm. :( I keep seeing stuff about Melissa being killed off and the last thing I saw was her telling Spencer she should come with her.
  2. You aren't kidding! Did they really say on camera that they thought the twin thing was unique? Wasn't it just last year they had twins trying out?
  3. AUGH! Stupid storm knocked out my DISH right near the end. Someone PLEASE fill me in. Last thing I saw I was Hanna about to tell Caleb something. HELP!
  4. I sincerely hope the show is not going to try and play that Riley has never met her best friend's mother.
  5. I keep getting confused by Maya and Riley's standing in the school. I definitely got the feeling that Maya was "popular" which (from what I remember) by school rules, means her best friend is popular. Riley also had a starring role in the school play last week (which didn't jive with me because she seemed the type who would shy away from the spotlight) and the whole school seemed to get into it when Maya started catcalling from the audience, which also led me to believe she was popular. And now this week, Riley is sweating being popular and Maya doesn't care (which jives with her actually BEING popular).
  6. I have seen a lot of comments regarding Caroline's sleeping with Klaus and I am kind of surprised. I honestly don't see where she did anything "wrong" because I don't see where it affects anyone else. I know Klaus did some horrible things to the gang, but Caroline was no longer involved with Tyler and she had every right to have one night with a guy she had an attraction to (and had been attracted to for a long time). Yes, Klaus killed Tyler's mother, but little Miss Caroline killed a bunch of innocent witches (some of whom were probably someone's mother) and the rest of the gang have also killed people. Maybe I am biased because I liked Klaus and Caroline together...I liked what she brought out in Klaus....but I don't begrudge the two of them their one night together.
  7. My UO is I actually liked Liz. TJ could drive me nuts sometimes, but hippy dipply Liz was fun. I didn't like some of her behaviors....like dropping her kid off at the diner when Luke was telling her no, but overall, I liked the character. I would have liked to have seen flashbacks to Luke and Liz growing up together. I imagine being her big brother drove Luke nuts sometimes.
  8. Why would Gruncle be spelled with a k? It is short for great-uncle.
  9. Flashbacks! HippieTopanga! LOVED this episode! I can live with Topanga and Corey investing in the bakery. They won't be running the place, but it gives them a vested interest (although I am not sure WHY the adults have to have a vested interest in a teenage hangout unless the show plans on putting them there a lot....and since it is a show ABOUT the kids FOR kids, I don't know why they would). I have to admit, I actually got all mushy inside when Corey walked up behind Topanga and they looked in the mirror. I love the two of them together and it was so sweet when Topanga told Riley that this was the part of her that Corey fell in love with a long time ago, because that is true. I flashed to a later episode of BMW (cant remember what else was happening but....) where Topanga draws on her face to remind Corey, and herself, of who she really is. Also, I completely cracked up at the scene where Maya and Farkle are fighting in Riley's bedroom and kept pushing/pulling/throwing each other to the floor. I don't know why, but that just killed me. Also funny, when Corey admits he is a middle school teacher and Mrs. Savitski is just like "oh boy". I hope this is the start of a new trend where we see combination the of OriginalFlavorTopanga and SharkTopaga.
  10. I am in the middle of a rewatch with my best friend (We did Faith Hope & Trick last night) and I have been dying to get to The Wish to check out Faith being munched (never noticed the look alike/Faith in all my watches). Now I find out it's just a look alike....I am so disappointed. :(
  11. I adored Jesse right from the beginning of the series (I watched the entire series on Netflix over the course of about 7 weeks). I loved the episode where he covered for his little brother and his destroying the pot in front of him and saying it was "skunk" anyway. I wish we had seen more of their interactions. Jesse was such a good guy deep down, I always felt for him. In the scenes where he conned his mom, I always thought "yup, I would fall for that too" because he was just such a sweet kid despite everything. I loved how he was so protective over children. And, as much as I adored the character, I really loved watching him struggle. When his girlfriend died, Jesse broke my heart when he kept calling her voicemail to hear her voice. I just wanted to give him a hug.
  12. I have always hated that Xander lied to Buffy about what Willow was up to, but honestly, what difference would it have made if Buffy HAD known? She was battling Angel with all she had, trying to keep him from getting the sword out. Knowing that Willow was trying the cure again wouldn't have made her fight any harder, she was already going at it full force. She wouldn't not have been so surprised when Angel was re-souled, but I cant see how it would have changed the outcome.
  13. I didn't hate this episode, but it definitely felt very much like a generic Disney show. Having Riley and Maya randomly spot the family on the subway was just a bit too over the top for me. New York City is a huge place. To have the family just happen to standing on the subway platform at the same time Maya and Riley happen to be walking by is a bit too "wish fulfillment" to me. That said, I enjoyed Topanga and Corey teasing about the chicken (Topanga stabbing that chicken with a fork and moving it towards Corey will never not be funny to me). Corey's "don't tell people I live like this in my own home" was cute and funny. I did NOT like with way Riley treated Maya over the locket. For a BFF, she is sorely lacking in empathy and, were I Maya, I would be seriously bugged that my bestie treated me like that. Granted, what Maya did was not 100% honest, but she didn't steal the (ugly IMO) locket from a store or even a person. She wasn't going to jail for claiming a locket from the L&F that didn't belong to her. Riley needs to tone down her attitude. I actually liked Lucas this episode. I laughed when he said he couldn't believe the little guy stole his moment (or whatever it was). I like the way their relationship is progressing, with both Lucas and Riley recognizing that they want to grow up a little bit before getting into anything romantic. The play was kind of random (was I the only one who was surprised Riley would want to be on stage as the star of a play? She struck me as too shy to want that kind of spotlight in earlier episodes.) and I hated that Maya ended up walking on stage there at the end.
  14. mattie0808, the hand job scene was on the Netflix version (I watched the entire series on Netflix). It's in episode 1, I believe. I didn't hate Skylar watching it, but I did feel sorry for Walt since it seemed like a half-assed hand job was the best he could expect from his wife. I had almost forgotten that Skylar was in on that whole "discredit Hank" video. That was truly one of the most vile things the two of them did. Hank didn't deserve to be thrown under the bus just because he was trying to do his job. I had a feeling, once Skylar made the comment that she didn't go through with the divorce because wives couldn't be forced to testify against their husbands, that Hank was going to try to bully her into it at some point. I think he was honestly shocked when she wouldn't just start spilling her guts in the diner after he told her he knew what Walt had been up to. Honestly, if she hadn't known about it or had been forced/threatened into silence (which seemed to be the direction Hank was coming at her from at first), how could be expect her to get news like that and then be able to calmly start talking about it in a diner?! Speaking of that episode, my Marie hate became solidified when she tried to walk out of the house with Holly. Who the hell did she think she was? I could understand her slapping Skylar. After all that happened, I could totally get behind that slap, but to actually try to kidnap her niece while Skylar stood there screaming at her to give her back her baby? Oh HELL no. I wanted to see Sky just deck the bitch after that.
  15. I agree with Kromm that they seriously need to show another adult or two at the school. I thought for sure they would cast Feeney as the principal that we see oh so rarely or something (with no explanation as to why he is working in NYC when he owns a house next to Corey's parents). I get that the show is on a tight budget, but it's not like they need to get some big name actor to play a second teacher or vice-principal or wacky janitor. I would think any unemployed unknown actor would jump at the chance to be on a Disney Show....and especially actor's of a certain age who grew up on BMW (I would love to do anything with this show and I'm not even an actor LOL). In addition to the obvious problem of Corey running a school all by his lonesome, I would actually really like to see him (or Topanga even) interacting with another adult (and I don't mean guest spots by Minkus or Sean). I know the show isn't about them, but my BMW loving heart thrills each time they are on the screen and I would like to see them as more than just "the parents". We saw Corey's parents interacting with Sean's dad back in the day. It might be interesting to meet Maya's mom who is struggling to raise her daughter alone or even Lucas' parents....maybe they are wealthy and disapprove of their son hanging out with a lower class of kids (look down on Maya because she comes from a single parents family or something).
  16. I never thought she enjoyed any particular "lifestyle" as far as Walt's money went, but I DO think she enjoyed being able to pay Hank's medical bills...and not in a "I am so glad I can help out my sister" kind of way. I never much cared for Marie either because I felt like she was one of those people who make everything about them. Although Skylar didn't lord the fact that she was paying the bills over Marie's head or anything, I felt like there was a part of her that enjoyed being the one to bail out the sister who seemed to always be pitying her for some reason or another.
  17. I know the show isn't about Cory and Topanga, but I would settle for a nice little scene where Topanga is busy with work, papers all over the table or whatever, and she doesn't have time to immediately focus all of her attention on Riley and Corey the second they walk in the door. It could upset Riley that she actually wants to talk to her mom and can't because mom is busy so maybe she makes a wrong choice because of not getting Topanga's input or something. Back to the topic of the episode at hand, I am growing to love Farkle more with every episode. I loved his little speech to the girls about half the dances with each of them and his happiness to get one dance with each which is what he wanted all along. It made me smile. I am a sucker for boy/girl friendships like that.
  18. My UO is that I always hated Kirk. He annoyed me to no end and not in a good way. I never found his mannerisms or his do every job in town schtick funny. His kissing Taylor's ass never amused. The rest of the townies were ok, but I always wanted to strangle Kirk.
  19. My problem was not so much with her screwing him because, as Sweet Tee pointed out, she and Walt were separated for all intents and purposes. My issue (at that time) came from the fact that she had no problem with Ted stealing to support a lavish lifestyle but condemned Walt for doing what he was doing for the good of his family.
  20. If Topanga is a lawyer, shouldn't she actually BE at work sometimes? How is it she is home for dinner every night and never has work spread out on the table? She must work for the only law firm in the country that actually lets it's employees work 9-5.
  21. With the looks that Emily and Spencer exchanged when Ali admitted to hiring Noel Kahn, I think they are about to get over her bullshit. Ali went over the line on that one and I think the girls are starting to see what she really is. I completely forgot that Piper and her boy toy got engaged. I was more bugged than I want to admit that said boy toy hit on Hannah. I was really hoping that it was a misunderstanding at the grill....that he perhaps had a drinking problem as a teen and was trying to help...but that went out the window with the scene in the car when he started talking about "vibes" and putting his hand on her thigh. *sigh* Why must every man who has the beautiful and sexy Piper want someone younger and inappropriate for them?! Honestly, I am completely flabbergasted by that entire "storyline". First off, it is not good writing to make every freakin' adult male a creeper. Second, Zach runs the most popular teen hang out in Rosewood. It is always chock full of high school honeys. Why would he choose to hit on the best friend of his fiancé's daughter? That is just asking to get caught by his fiancé. For that matter, why the hell did he rush into an engagement with Piper when he has an obvious thing for teenage girls (or any other women for that matter). The show really needs to make some kind of an explanation for what has happened to Caleb to change him. I watched Ravenswood so I know why he has undergone this complete transformation, but why aren't the characters on the show saying "Boy, Caleb sure has changed" or something? I have always loved him and Hanna together but his watching (and helping) her self destruct with booze just isn't the guy I knew and loved in earlier seasons. Lastly, is this show kidding me with Toby enrolling in the Police Academy? Did he even get his GED? Has this show forgotten the flashbacks to him sitting in Juvie with the dew rag of doom on his head? How about the fact that the criminal justice system thinks he blinded his sister? I can't remember, but did the fact that he was having sex with his step sister ever come out? I want to think it did and she claimed he was forcing her so lets add sexual predator to his list of qualifications. Sheesh!
  22. Loved season 4 and Gus was just an awesome character. He was so rigidly polite and proper and yet such a sick bastard underneath. His death was one of my favorite moments in the series. When he walked out of the room and straightened his tie I thought "Walt is screwed, it didn't work" and then the camera circled around and I actually cheered. It figures that even as a walking corpse, Gus would straighten that tie before dropping dead. LOL
  23. Skylar annoyed me in early seasons, before Walt went so totally hard ass, because she was sleeping with a man who ripped off his own company so he could have things like a heated bathroom floor while condemning the man who was cooking meth to provide for his family after his inevitable death. I just didn't like the woman and, although I knew what Walt was doing was wrong, he was at least doing it for the right reasons. Of course, as time wore on and it became obvious (to me anyway) that Walt was a flippin psychopath with delusions of grandeur, my hate for Skylar came down a few notches....but I still never really liked her.
  24. I agree with MaiSoCalled. I definitely got the impression that Cory and Topanga knew about Maya's home life and they were essentially trying to spare her having to talk about it at the end. I enjoy Cory's relationship with Maya and thought the dance at the end was so very sweet AND well done. While I agree that Lucas and Maya seem a much better match than Riley and Lucas, I can't imagine the show going there. It has already been established that Riley has a huge crush on Lucas. To have him turn around and date her best friend would be the ultimate betrayal by Maya (you don't date the boy your friend likes. Prepubescent handbook, page 3). The only way I could see that working is if they have Riley completely lose interest in him some time before these kids reach an age where they want to "date", develop a crush on someone else and then let enough time lapse (and let them age up to a maturity level where I could buy it happening) and then Lucas and Maya could discover an interest in one another. Actually, the show could go another way and have Riley go completely boy crazy and leave her interest in Lucas was in the past. It could be a running gag that Riley develop a new crush each week and, while this is happening, a real friendship could be established between Lucas, Riley and Maya (and Farkle!).
  25. Cordelia was always one of my favorite characters. I liked bitchy queen C and I liked Scooby Cordy. The only time I was really mad at her was when she dumped Xander on Valentine's Day because of her friends, but even with that, it was a very realistic high school moment (when friends can dictate everything if you actually care about being popular). ETA: Charisma is my age and I am suddenly very depressed after looking at that pic. LOL
