  1. The plaintiff lost because it was a gift and the motivation for the suit was revealing the affair. I guess I missed the part where the defendants were living it up but JJ established their incomes were similar. The defendants have at least one dependent son at home, and seem like people who have lots of people and pets around and probably aren't financially astute. The father is older and his income isn't reliable per his testimony. I think they loved that cat and if someone offered to help I would accept it too. Who knew it would take $1,700 to save it? In fact, she agreed twice when they had to pay more when the kitty was taken home and the owner paid as much as she could, $200. Of course I agree they should have paid back a token amount monthly but I've seen cases where JJ hammers on the plaintiff for filing a law suit for vindictive reasons (revealing the affair). Revealing the affair should have had nothing to do with this and normally JJ would have blasted someone over it but she was very sympathetic to the plaintiff in that regard but still ruled against her. But that's the stuff that comes out in small claims court situations and never would in a normal civil court.
  2. Again with Eric's pissy face. I can't stand to see that manchild cry one more time. He was ready to drop the lawsuit against Kristen (which he can't drop because it's the state's case since it's criminal) because of what he perceives to be a target on Sami's back. I'll be the first to agree Mar will drop anyone under the bus to save her Jawn, you'd think Eric would understand that his fee-fees are a little less important than a man's life. What was the point of that scene other than to watch Eric cry some more? As so many of you have brilliantly described here, his fixation with how dirty sex is, is more than a little troubling. ITA Brady should not be kept out of the loop on Jawn's condition. That's just weird. Mar has no legal right to be involved in any of this. At least there was a bit of reality mentioning the Glasgow Coma Scale but I don't know when Jawn has ever been more than a 7 in his life, and he's clearly at something like a 4 now. Wait, I just checked and since he isn't opening his eyes or reacting he's at a 1. And cheeses unless you're very rich you don't "choose" when to leave the hospital. My father and my ex were both sent home to die. Nice try though, Days. It makes me sad that Theresa is deluding herself a bit although I think I agree with her plan. She's such a great actress every feeling shows on her face but I worry she is giving herself away to others like Kristen today. I wish she had a better friend than Ann. I'm finding Ann hilarious, especially when she dealt with Dan yesterday, but I wouldn't trust her with my most closely held feelings. Although Ann is great at giving Theresa a reality check I think she is just in it for the gossip. She's already becoming annoyed Theresa's focus isn't entirely on JenJen and I sure wouldn't want Ann as an enemy. Gosh, putting her in HR and hiring this actress was pretty brilliant. Although I hate Kristen as a character I'm enjoying her very campy performance. She sees through everyone. I thought her scene with Dan today was very well played by both of them and was blessedly devoid of too much sexual tension other than Kristen being her usual cloying self.
  3. Theresa: If I told Brady Kristen called me he'd be by my side in two minutes with his big...(wait for it) arm around me.
  4. I love my little princess more than life itself but my circumstances are such that if something happened to her there is no way I would be able to afford it. It would kill me to have to do that, but I already have an unsafe car that I can't fix in order to find a job in something, anything. Today. The cat in question probably needed a special diet and ongoing medical care and I hope they were able to find someone who could keep up with that. I don't understand JJ's obsession with "why did you wait" in this case 7 months. So what. The statute of limitations for bringing a law suit is 1-3 years (2 here, I believe) so I don't know why she gets her granny panties in a twist about it all the time. Yes, I understand memories fade and you can lose track of witnesses but that wasn't an issue here. I let my last cat die at home about 5 years ago without going through the stress of medical tests. Since she was almost 17 she had a long happy life and a peaceful ending and is in a pine box I built in the back yard. I'll be leaving now.
  5. I thought they knew when they made the pregnancy fail and the wedding was postponed. JMHO as a viewer but there seemed to be a big break in the story then. That's why I thought JS gave them his final decision in about Nov.
  6. I can smell the whole cloves but I think I'm missing something as interesting as that sounds. I'm so old. And Brady, I don't care how much you apologize. You are a nasty pig of a man using Theresa like that to quell your anger/arousal issues. I might have bought the attraction to Kristen way back then but now it's just YUK. Does anyone else think Eric looks thin to the point of frail? I thought I saw a little something special out of AS today because it might be the last scenes they shot together.
  7. Since I'm only sure of one Creep, who's taking pictures of JJ and Paige? Just looking for guesses. I guess Eve got her money.
  8. And it's doubly annoying because they have no idea what the audience wants to see. I can tell you what we don't want to see, more "spontaneous banter" between the chefs and 8 shots of Plastic Husband Grin. When we could be seeing cooking and judging. Add to that, some ingredients are prepped, some not, and the ridiculously low time limits given. Although I don't buy any of that either. Put those together and they were expected to peel potatoes while having an interview for the mashed yet the other week they were given prepared chicken, for the shepard's pie I think. Also, one positive and one negative comment on each dish then no final opinion when the winner is announced. It would be perfectly fair to say something like the judges thought ratatouille should be more than two slices of squash. It could be done while contestants are doing the exaggerated gut punch or jumping up and down. I don't buy the oven drama. If you're giving somebody 20 min to make an entree or brownies the ovens should already be preheated for every challenge.
  9. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention to the show today (I wasn't) but Eric had the most pissy face I've ever seen outside of a JenShriek and that scene went on forever. I didn't see that she was trying to manipulate anyone and Eric should be embarrassed about that hissy fit he threw. I found the statement about how she should leave town because nobody cares to be pretty brutal. Same with the way Dan treated her. Yes, the Nicole shame train has gone on much too long from the writers but underneath everything she just wants to be loved, and is a good actress who has done some great work. Damn, it's like everyone in town just wants her to die and that makes me sad. NuWill is dragging Sonny down as an actor. It felt like he was reading a script. What is it with Brady reacting to anger over everything? Seriously, this guy doesn't get out of bed unless he's angry about something. And he pretty much gets into bed because he's angry about something. Theresa deserves better. I'm guessing Days didn't expect the awesome tears she gave us today.
  10. I think it's hilarious that no one cares enough about this show to comment about tonight.
  11. Thank you! I keep checking under the bed to make sure Creepy Clyde isn't lurking on me. He actually made it into a bad dream. He made me like Rafe the other day for blowing him off.
  12. I think they've been really great about showing the sex. In fact, when Sonny questioned Will about the article they got distracted into the afternoon delight. As cute as it is, I agree they don't have to kiss in every scene to prove a point.
  13. It's strange that hasn't been brought up. Cheeses they pay writers who don't know the show?
  14. He actually called the food limper than my granddad's dick. Gotta love the brit humour. What a disgusting chef. I really hate it that chefs feel they have to put their hands on every ingredient. That's why I don't need fussy vertical food.
  15. I honestly think you're giving KM way too much credit for being a normal, intelligent, thoughtful person. I normally don't dislike an actor personally unless they spew discriminatory or hateful political beliefs, but I really dislike this girl. I think she believes every single word of her own hype and was probably raised to think her shit smells like hot apple pie. Pretty much the same reason I can't stand Bieber but he isn't on my show every damned day. Yes, that's how I really feel. NuWill is a casting disaster yet they must have renewed his contract. A better actor? My ass is a better actor. Thanks for the GIF! I really need a screenshot of Sami's forearm on Abs' neck the other day, to go with it. I honestly haven't spent the time to learn how to do it, but I thought about it.
  16. I guess Creepy Clyde is doing his job as an actor if his lurking is scaring the bejeesus out of me. "Bullseye" gave me the shivers even though his eyes said it first. The "mah lil girrul" makes me nauseous. But not as much as Ollby's kiss. Damn, I thought he'd whip her into shape for us but that closeup left a bad tuna taste in my mouth. I'll never think he's handsome though.
  17. Theresa was all over the place today. I love her giving advice to and befriending Paige, I think she means well but repeatedly telling her that JJ wants only one thing seems out of character. Theresa used and threatened JJ back then. While he was clearly interested in Theresa he never just wanted one thing from her. Still, I feel like she is trying to be more supportive than her mother but has too much on her own plate. I don't agree Paige and Eve have a good relationship. When has Paige looked happy at all since the day she hugged her mother upon her arrival home? It's a nonstop lecture and the constant sadface she needs to maintain is affecting how much I like her as a character because there's enough sadface on this show. I agree with Theresa that Paige is the one who takes care of Eve and then I was sort of stunned when Theresa marched right over to tell Eve about making out in the van. I hope those two have sex and get it over with just to piss people off because they're adults now so why the hell not imho. He's known her since April and they're in a committed relationship. But noooo, we've got to frustrate JJ in order to build up sexual tension with Eve. *slams head into wall* It was interesting to hear Theresa talk about how she felt her parents were nothing but judgmental. She was no doubt a challenging child, but I can absolutely see Kimberly being a very demanding mother. I was never a Patsy Pease fan, good lord she was high strung. I'm guessing Shane was indulgent but not very involved, he always seemed distracted to me. The scenes with JJ and Eve were nicer than I expected but I feel really protective of JJ and that's a line that can't be crossed with me, sexually or otherwise. It made my head spin how we hear nothing but badmouthing to Paige and Theresa and the next thing you know she's bonding with JJ? She's setting him up. With extended moaning music. While Theresa's behaviour was terrible when she first came I always felt we could expect more. I'm not getting that vibe with Eve. I have to say I thought her singing was pretty. I just don't want to see any night club crap in the future. Stray observations: Is it wrong I want to lick Aiden's dimple? TMI? I didn't quite catch the reason he thinks he was a bad husband. Sorry Days but pairing Hope with a younger looking man is not going to make me forget she has a 30 year old son. I agree Nicole and Theresa would be a very interesting relationship. Maggie sucks but she's right about rolling her eyes when Dan said it shouldn't matter that Eve is Paige's mother. Yeahhh, ok Dan. I kept waiting for her to go over to check on JJ like she said and scream HOLY CHEESES WHAT IS GOING ON HERE because I don't want them alone. I wasn't listening but did Ben really tell Abs to basically shut up about EJ because she ruined the entire picnic? Still, they were pretty happy to start making out with each other's tuna mouth. Since you two are eating and drinking, someone is going to need to sit on a bucket soon, I'm just saying. But he does seem to know how to control her better than anyone else so I'll give him that. Sami and EJ were charming today. Yes, I hope she is setting him up but chatting about your kids can be a pretty powerful incentive toward calling a truce. It's nice to see her get a little break from the stress she's been under since well before the wedding and she looked pretty.
  18. I don't know. Should we just start an I Hate Sami thread and be done with it?
  19. Gordon claiming not to know things until he arrives and reads it in the paper, for instance, is now a thing on this show.
  20. Boes said: That's very kind to say, and I agree completely there are so many good writers here. And thank YOU, you're my favourite, I can't tell you how hard I laugh at your daily recaps
  21. Oh my goodness I couldn't disagree more. I find Clyde to be a creepy weasel face who we know is a bad guy before he even showed up. And not at all charming or handsome imho. Eve is continuing to wreak more mental abuse on her daughter, who thankfully doesn't believe a word of it. She's out to trick Theresa too, or at least skew things to her advantage. I don't think Theresa is buying it either. Poor Theresa, Paige and JJ. Doing a lot of muting today.
  22. Please correct me if I'm wrong but EJ only knew about Kristen/Eric after it happened and told Sami within days, right? It's not like he knew her plan ahead of time and withheld it for 6 months like the affair. I'm not so sure Sami knows or believes he wasn't in on it earlier.
  23. I get that but long time viewers generally like to see a character act as per their history otherwise it just doesn't work (see:Eve) and Sami's perceived lack of love/acceptance has always been strong with her. Yes, her actions often lead to less love/acceptance but that happens to me too if you have to stand up for yourself. I have a son Will's age so sometimes the storyline resonates with me. She is deciding she doesn't need to be treated like crap, that's what this has been all about. And as others have pointed out, she's been very tame in her dealings with Abs, is telling the truth and has followed the law as far as EJ. She has matured. I'm not completely hating this exit story other than wanting more Lumi. In fact, I'm having a load of fun and watching shows twice. So maybe she has to settle for EJ because she has young kids who love their dad and is enmeshed in the business so that's her best option right now. I'm not thrilled about it, but sometimes life is a balance. I definitely don't see it as a happily ever after and you can see it in Sami's face.
  24. The way I look at it is while they accept Kumi have temporary power EJ and Stefano have been making decisions for years and I don't find it unusual the board would want to make sure their experience is still available. As far as I can tell the only information Abs possibly has is that Ejami aren't reconciled. Now, how she knows Mr. Shin wants that information is a complete mystery. If the board knew there was really a rift in upper upper management it would affect their stock value or lead to a sell out, etc, they would call the emergency board meeting Sami is trying to avoid. I'm not so sure she's trying to destroy DE. She's mentioned her kids' legacy and the fact that the company is making money now that Kami have sold off the vanity businesses and toys. They're going to make a lifetime of money out of this so they don't need the Dimeras any longer. Theresa was criminally assaulted by Jawn when he knocked her to the ground and hoped she would never wake up. She panicked. I think she made a bad decision because she really cares about that dumb lug Brady. She did the right thing with the annulment but didn't want to lose him and hasn't been aggressive in pursuing him like a lot of women in Salem would. She's starting to get a redemption arc imho. I completely agree there is no reason why he gives her hand the stink eye when he spent weeks naked on her sofa not that long ago.
  25. I've been watching since when Sami appeared as a teenager, and yes, that is her motivation. Sami has never felt loved so she lashes out when she has to. (Nicole's motivation is very similar, but her family circumstances were much worse.) We all know the history, but to summarize she had Mar for a mother, Carrie was the favorite, and as trivial as it seems now, the boardroom table sex she walked in on as a minor really did traumatize her. Not to mention various parents being kidnapped/presumed dead for lengths of time.
