  1. Abby feels privileged enough to believe she will always be able to get a job from a friend or relative. When she feels like having one, that is. For social purposes mainly.
  2. They've already done that. I'm just heavily relieved Eve wasn't the seducer. Still, I got creeped out when JJ grabbed her arms, but laughed when he actually left marks. WTH was she doing barging into Alice's house again? And how did she know who was home? I'm convinced Eve's FT job is stalking Paige, JJ and Jenn. Oh, she she cannot act without something in her hands or touching things. I think they've decided it's probably better if she holds onto something rather than groping around. The twang got to me all over again today. It would be so wickedly evil, evil, evil if Chad hired Abby. Oh PLEASE do it and torture the smirk out of her. See, she won't do any of the normal jobs Bollie suggested. She'd never be a bartender either, are you kidding me? She's going out for publicist jobs, jobs that require nothing but schmoozing. The type where you can sit in the square all day being self absorbed, accosting people and punching a few things into your phone and call it work. Nice if your food, shelter and clothing are assured and all you have to support is your ego. Just the perfect amount of Susan. Thanks, Days. I'll bet ED had a lot to do with bringing her back. Just as AS and LK had a lot to do with having the lady's portrait on the wall. BTW, that's the first time Kristen noticed it?
  3. I agree with shesajar and Hey Carrie Ann (what's your game now can anybody play). She has pretty, silky hair and I can't imagine what they had to do to get the big hair back in the 80's. She definitely set out to reinvent herself with the weight loss and must have had professional training to do the cop voice 24/7. If you listen to her as an 18 year old she sort of had a high pitched whine. She's not quite as scary-thin as she used to be and I pretty much like her casual wardrobe. I heard once along the lines of you either diet for your face or eat normally for your butt. I'd settle for either one.
  4. I was hoping EJ would be mortified so I could laugh at it. All you need to know about Susan is in the conception clip. She's for laughs but endearing. Days did something right. I embarrass my son on a daily basis and trust me he wouldn't hug me if I showed up unexpected. Lots of people love their parents but don't emulate them. EJ gave into the DiMera long ago. But he has more of a moral compass than Stefano and I've always attributed that to Susan. I thought EJ and Sami treated Susan with a great deal of respect given what she was asking. He was surprised, I don't think he acted unreasonably at all. I loved it that Mar acknowledged her too. I forgot who the stepfather Evan was.
  5. I agree totally. Oh no, Paige gets attacked? *puts fingers in ears* Paige was listening outside Kayla's door and JJ was listening outside Daniel's door.
  6. The insurance industry often uses the word vehicle too, and if a description is needed when talking to a body shop, insured, claimant, etc it's the year, make and model.
  7. With all due respect, you might be taking Susan a little too seriously. She harkens back to the day when Days was campy and funny. The humor is in the juxtaposition of the faces of these two completely different people. EJ knows Susan' isn't capable of complex thought. Don't hold your breath expecting her to read situations. In fact, right now she thinks Jawn would just love, love, love to see her. I 'm enjoying my Days humor where I can get it. Eating junk food on the sex couch? Priceless. When the first word out of Jawn's mouth was sooooonnn I wanted to slap him back into a coma. Doesn't Eve have anything better to do than destroy Paige? I thought she wanted to move and get that surgery.
  8. I love, love, love Susan. She might be giving him a plausible explanation for leaving Salem/Show. I like Hope with anyone but Bo. She and Aiden are cute but their entire storyline has pretty much taken place outside of anything else going on, it's like they have their own separate world and it's weird.
  9. I didn't watch Passions for about the first year because I was so upset when Another World was cancelled. Then I realized it was a satire if you ignored most of the Crane family. Really, Fancy Crane and Pretty Crane? It was great to see Juliet Mills be given such a fun role as Tabitha. And baby Endora was one of the most talented toddlers I've seen. Remarkably, they didn't go with twins to play that role. The expressions on that child's face with the thought bubbles! Tabitha dressed her like a little witch and had a red and black stroller. The rub is, she was afraid Endora was going to be a good witch. I was so sad when Timmy died in real life. Rafe/Luis was a stack of wood but I liked it that they had a big, strong family with mama Pilar. I expected they'd bring her to Days since they brought in Rafe's sister Ariana in from Passions, too. It would have been nice to have a new family in Salem but now we're just stuck with Rafe.
  10. I like them too but they worried me a little when one of them was proud of herself for figuring out the compass yet they're scientists? I get it that it was an unusual compass but they may have to make up for brawn with brains.
  11. I've heard Corday never wanted Ejami but was pressured into it, so there's that. And I agree they were hoping one of them would stay. I've mentioned this before, but there was that huge disconnect when they dropped the pregnancy storyline and delayed the wedding. Jordan's storyline was also interrupted when her friend and Lucas's love interest was here today, gone tomorrow. So for a while I didn't entirely blame Jordan for her storyline being screwed up until she started permanently grimacing. It looks like all hell broke loose with the writing around that time. But Dammit Corday, Ejabby started ten months ago!
  12. Is anyone following these twits on twitter to see if there was any backlash or if they had any explanation for the stupid sun comment or crawling on the beach? The look on the sun sister's face when she said "huh?" because she still didn't get it, was priceless.
  13. It's interesting that others are also finding Adam to be a Jessus-like creepy Ken doll. When the accident happened with Bethany I remember seeing several stories mostly about her uber-religious family life. The father came off imho as kind of a quirky beach bum but the mother seemed like an overcontrolling nut case. Bethany herself seemed more like a sheltered ten year old than a teenager to me. A quick google of "Bethany Hamilton religion" brought up a list of articles on the subject that sort of confirms my opinion but I have no desire to research her further. I haven't seen the movie either but it's my understanding it involved a lot about their faith. Therefore, it makes sense she'd end up with someone like youth minister Adam. Maybe the only way they were allowed to hold hands if they were married. I hope not. She seems like a great young woman though and no doubt she'll go far on the show. Best of luck to her.
  14. While hanging out in the square, the pub, the park, Club TBD, and everywhere else for months to snag as many people as possible into paying attention to her. Ashamed my ass. The way she sits there with that open mouthed smile just waiting to be complimented again. Or tell people off. Or slap them. OMG. That is so spot on. I've only seen Monday this week and that had a lot to do with being filled with rage the little shrew was on my TV 3-4 days in a row the other week. I mute but I can't FF live tv. She is killing this show for me. It's very telling how she pooh-pooh'd the normal jobs Ben suggested for her. I'm not sure NuChad, JJ and Theresa are enough to keep me interested. And I think I've made it pretty clear how I feel about Eve and Creepy Clyde. Speaking of whom, he's blackmailing Kate, right? She's not really dating him I hope? Sorry, I'll try to catch up this weekend. To quote Pop Up Victor: You married him, you didn't adopt him!
  15. I've never had anything other than a 30 min new episode then a 30 min rerun. I just checked my tv guide and it matched what I saw.
  16. Why didn't they hire Mary Beth to be Paige. She is so good. I'm behind but I don't think Eve paid her so there's that. I'm behind because I guess there was more Scabbie and she makes me run screaming from this show.
  17. I don't mind being wrong. It was a pretty rare half hour case. I didn't think he was entirely stupid though and I'll bet his kids love him. I don't care that he grows pot.
  18. She's coming down so hard on the 35 year old college student with kids, I'm completely distracted by what the case is about other than having to paint the walls.Oh yeah, and pot is evil. JJ, did you know that some of the blame heaped upon unemployed people is that they should go back to school for training no matter what age? Like I said, I'm distracted but he doesn't seem to be the most evil person we've seen.
  19. As long as Susan calls someone mean, mean, mean I will be golden. A Susan/Sami scene? Too funny!
  20. Micky didn't put up with her. He left town as often as Justin. When she insisted they go away on a trip together, he preferred to die while packing. I've worked for attorneys with stupid wives. My personal names to add are Dr. Grope and Scabbie. You know, the itchy, irritating thing that just won't go away. ETA Creepy Clyde and Dumb Lug or Pretty Boy for Brady I usually call Rafe Dim Bulb. But like I said, personal names.
  21. Stefano wanted her to have the baby he put in her so he wasn't going to go after her. Although I think going to England was to get away from all of the Dimeras. Because that Kristen? She is just mean, mean, mean. Gosh some of you have really great memories.
  22. Thank you. And JJ didn't want to know anything that was going on there, thank gawd. I swear mushmouth said lived-ded in the hallterview. ETA Now that I think about it I'm worried the older man was taking advantage of him. He didn't seem too bright but I think he was trying to get into school IIRC?
  23. I miss my M&M yellow '74 Superbeetle a lot. I sold it for about $500 in the late 90's with a paint job but bad breaks and floor pan and they think theirs in pieces is worth $9,000? They had a '72 Superbeetle. Which means the windshield is curved and not 4 inches in front of your face.
