  1. The rich mom mentioned starting dinner so many times I think she planned to leave most of the cooking to the nanny. Seriously unlikable person hires elderly nut case. I was really against the "nanny" when I first heard about this but it sounds like it's true she had nowhere to go and they cut off her food and utilities. Without a paycheck what is she supposed to do. She has a valid point she should not be on call 12 hours a day. Not that I'm really defending her... I don't have the stomach for the religious wife spanker on Wednesday, sorry Phil. In fact, they are showing several previews and I'm not interested in any of those people. This is turning into tabloid tv. I could go on a long general rant about how Phil has only recently acknowledged there is such a thing as depression rather than expecting people to man up, woman up, but only if it is in cahoots with that head shrinking company that promises to use every available "medical" device on you. I'd be surprised if insurance covers any of it. Surely he gets some profits from pimping that business.
  2. I'm probably completely wrong and I have no basis for saying this, but I got the idea the older sister might be gay and there was something personal going on there with the spoiled looking younger one.
  3. I agree that Russian Hunk was probably looking for a green card and the sight of him pretty much knocked me on my butt. Despite what we see on JJ, I'm not so quick to say Social Security beneficiaries are sponging off the government though. I worked for an attorney who did a few SS appeals and one man died while waiting from pancreatitis. My ex died in Feb and was turned down three times even though he had a 6 mos expectancy and wasn't able to work for over a year. It baffles me how some of these people qualify, but in my experience it's hard to qualify. I think JJ is just fine with reading things off of a phone and accepting that as evidence rather than requiring paper documents. I think it's just that the screens time out before she can read them and every phone is a little different.
  4. Theresa is not new. She's been on since July 2013. She's pretty much the only reason I'll keep watching after AS leaves. Well, AZ too if they bring her out of the moping. She looked amazing today. Jeebus would someone just jump on Aiden already? .
  5. I don't think Jen Lilly is boring at all and I think she's already been redeemed since she's showing her guilt and really cares about the dumb lug and is not going along with all of Anne's plans or torturing JJ. She's legacy as Kim and Shane's daughter and it was probably accidentally brilliant that they brought her back and with this actress. She's interacting in at least three storylines I can think of. I really miss AW.
  6. Because he actually doesn't sleep in those bodily fluid soaked beds. I've heard the crew stays 30 miles away sometimes.
  7. I think it's to promote the chefs' restaurants. So it's a game show/commercial. With the producer's friends as contestants.
  8. I continue to think Eric looks a lot more thin than he used to, as if he's shrunken along with his character. Theresa is telegraphing her every feeling on her face. She didn't used to do that, but it does show what a versatile actress she is. She gave away her secret to Kristen and I've been worried about that for a while. Since this is a soap Jawn probably won't remember but Kristen will at least have a purpose, as much as I hate it. I did like seeing the two actresses together. From a couple of days ago, could Paige have had any more of a pissy face at the prospect of - gasp - going to a party with her boyfriend? Yes, you need to go study for music theory on the first day of class when all that happened is that the prof should have emailed your syllabus. I'm disliking her more and more. Yes, she is too much work. "I like it when you're nice." Stop controlling JJ. At least Eve isn't paying someone to actually rape him. I'd love to see Rory give Mary Beth some, it would calm them both down. Wait, Chad was on the show??
  9. I sort of give her a pass on the water drinking because she's big about eye contact to help her get the truth since so many people don't pay attention to her questions. I might also try to divert attention or take a break or calm my nerves with a drink of water too. She seems to find it disrespectful or trying to hide a lie and I can see that. They're only on air for 15 min or less.
  10. With 5 dishes and judging they'd have to film for about as many hours if they were given adequate time and that isn't going to happen with a live audience, but I see how Chopped could do it. At least the last cook was the most likeable imho and had a great cause to help others at a food bank. Because I'm disturbed with the waste of high end ingredients on Ramsay's shows in particular. Some of which I've never tasted. Smashing slightly underdone seafood isn't cute, GR.
  11. Valid point, wings707 but if it's about the taste they're starting out with the same taste if so much is preprepped. I don't know but maybe if they had to poach the chicken (that's what I would do) and each used their choice of herbs, then reduced the liquid to make a gravy (that's what I would do) that would have made a big difference in how each tasted. So it's entirely possible the contestant's dish isn't anything like they make at home given the ridiculous time constraints. A shot of the chicken poaching while veggies are being prepared would have been just fine, I love seeing knife skills and of course they had to do the pastry. Lots of cooking shows always keep a pot of boiling water and a preheated oven. I think they should reduce the number of dishes to just 3, show more cooking, and stop the repetitive banter. Hey, did you know Jim's grandmother taught him how to cook? But I guess it's about the star power of parading out 5 chefs. I'm not sure why they're participating on a show like this other than to make the leap from cable to network tv. Maybe the point is this really isn't a cooking show, it's a stupid game show.
  12. Just caught up on the comments. MM? She loves the gossip too much for me so the cases stretch out way too long. If JJ goes on about dogs, MM knows everything about home renovation. I'll always watch JJ because she cuts to the chase, maybe too quickly, and calls out the injury scammers (I handled auto injury claims for a long time until I couldn't stand the lying) but MM is right up there. Her hair color is distracting though. The others are sooooo bad.
  13. That web site is an eye opener, thanks for sharing. I should have known about all of the paperwork involved, they must have a huge staff to file continuances with the court, etc. JJ acts like she's never seen anything other than the complaint and answer when she asks for their evidence (that they're required to leave behind) so that's not true. Also, it looks like she's involved in which cases to hear and they can change their mind at the last moment. It was interesting to read a couple of people were pretty upset with CBS. Here, it airs on Fox. I think the show is syndicated so any network can choose to buy it? OT I took a look around and they had over 100 comments about a company that tried to recruit me for an office job that didn't exist so I could sell overpriced mortgages and insurance. It was great to know my instincts were correct.
  14. I have no trouble with prepackaged fish or whatever but what set me off is the tupperware container of blanched and cubed chicken so it didn't even needed to be cooked before it went into the pot pie.
  15. The trash talk is so fake it doesn't bother me. The scripting bothers me.
  16. I don't miss Bo one bit. Especially now that Hope is throwing her disapproval face at Aiden . So I guess it was Hope's fault I don't miss him. I was waiting for a better writer than I to comment on how every single thing Mar did made no sense. While wishing hope beyond hope that Mar was trying to snag Abs into opening up then smacking her for seducing/trying to seduce two of her son-in-laws, she was disgustingly saccharine in her support of Abs??? Heads continue to spin. I sort of like Ben because he seems a little insightful and calls out Abs often. He knew she was thinking about Eej and saw she was looking at him in TBD and Mar didn't seem to notice that at all. Although she beeched at Eej. More proof she has not bothered one iota to talk to Sami or she'd know about how aggressively Abs pursued the affair. Diedre is a decent soap actress and she's legacy but it's up to her to portray the fact that she KNOWS how Mar is coming across.
  17. I'm sorry, I read it on a FB page someone runs and they are pretty reliable so I'm going to double check the source. I hope it's true. I also heard Kristen is only going to be around a couple of months, is that right? ETA I just saw screen shots of NuChad's arm around Abby so I guess they get together. Also one of NuChat slapping Eej big time. Wow, so a love triangle with Bollie? They won't take KM off the screen anytime soon, will they. I'm sorry if you already knew this, I don't look for spoilers but I don't freak out if I find one either.
  18. Oh, I thought you were saying you got four half hour episodes. They do that here with Big Bang Theory on Saturday.
  19. Believe it or not, Joe Mascolo is 85 and it was my understanding he wanted to retire years ago and that's the reason we don't see him very much. In fact I thought I heard Peggy McKay was leaving this summer, she's almost 87! So those last scenes with AS were pretty special.
  20. I just heard Susan will make an appearance and I hope she embarrasses Eej.
  21. He rolled his r's very well today. I treasure him because he is very old and we're seeing the last few scenes with him. I thought he and Kate were great together but everyone is great with Kate.
  22. I really miss the Salem Stalker. It was pre-internet for me and I worried everyone was dying but what fun that was! Didn't someone fall all bloody out of a pinata? The tiger scenes were great. Except I think Will was traumatized by wearing that costume no kid would ever wear. And go stand on a ladder, kid, because tigers can't climb. Still, good times.
