I think they're trying to show Aiden's desperation. At least they set this up early on, probably inadvertently, when Chase kept talking about money. We know Hope's happy. I just have the lower end Gazebo pattern they sold at Shopko and got some great deals, and I spent about 10 years in the 90's collecting odd pieces on Ebay when they were still cheap. I bought a few off the Pfaltzgraff site like the kitchen soap dispenser I still have. Gazebo also came in blue in the early 80's and Gazebo with white flowers on the blue plates and colored flowers on the white plates. I mix them and painted my kitchen blue. Just looking back to the good old days when I could afford that stuff. I LOVE restaurant dishes! One of my favorite things though, beside the dedicated Gazebo canned cranberry dish are the corn dishes that are curved and hold the heat and butter on the corn cob. I just checked on Wiki and the formula change for Pyrex was in 1998 and the newer ones have a bluish tint on the thicker bottom. That's how my Anchor Hocking bowl looks.

Glad to hear about the Pyrexbeing made, I never quite believed it about the explosions anyway but things often are made more cheaply through the years. I know better than to put a screaming hot glass pan on a wet surface. Thanks for the article, harrie! Anchor Hocking always seemed to be made more cheaply to me. I'll have to look up whether Pyrex is being made in the US. I'm pretty sure I heard it was discontinued from Cook's Country or ATK which was their reason for testing new measuring cups. I love my quart cup too. My entire Pfaltzgraff set was made in the 80's and 90's in the US. My couple of Mirro aluminum pieces too when they were made in WI. I'm so glad I don't have to outfit my kitchen from scratch these days. I also have several of my parent's corning ware from the 60s, I'm glad I kept it!

If you have any pyrex, treasure it. I understand it isn't made anymore. At least in the US. I have a couple of yellow pieces from the 60's. I ate my baby food out of one of the custard cups. I hear later pieces might shatter.

Thank you, I forgot to mention Roman. His marble mouth has been mentioned for years but as much as I like keeping veteran actors, it's time to go. Abe could fill that function instead. Anybody remember the spoof show several years back where they made fun of not understanding Roman and the scene where the camera stayed on EJ's crotch? I'd watch that again.

I like that they're giving Joey some time on the show to get used to things before pushing him too much. I took it as seeing his aunt and uncle divorcing reminding him of the estrangement between his parents. Not sure why Hope didn't mention his cousins would always be his cousins. I also took it as he, like Steve, sense something is wrong with Aiden. Yes, it's weird Joey will be dealing with a teen Ciara soon. Very strange. The way Failure could twist that around into Ben being wrong, what a sociopath. She knows how to hurt someone to the extent he had to talk to her hoo ha. Disgusting how she shut down his frustration over being on his final nerve to confront her about all the times she ran off to Chad. A Kristen could overplay that situation but Failure has No Self Awareness as an actress to convey what she's doing. Depth there might have been interesting. I didn't mind Ben taking the app off, she didn't know which one it was, it probably looked like a stupid game she forgot about. At least there wasn't a microphone. Or maybe there should have been. As far as Eve not telling Theresa yet, I haven't seen the closeness some of you have but we'll probably see Theresa tomorrow. It was established she died about 11pm and it's morning Salem Time. I wonder what she will tell Abifail and how she will react now that she knows about the Abpp. She practically told Chad she loves him. It's time to start breaking up Abenfail. UO but I like it when Jen dresses bohemian, it's a nice change but it reminded me of Paige's look. Boy, I has to think for a second to come up with Paige's name. Gazebo: The NBC player buffers for me too and the audio/video get out of sync everytime however it is one of the few sites blocking ads seems to work. Omg that is just hilarious. ETA Every time I read posts about Colleen and Santos I am so glad I quit Days for a while. As much of a Sami fan as I am, I just couldn't do it. And in the end it meant nothing. The only thing Jawn has done that's interesting is to give up Basic Black and open a huge story for my favorite women. I hope he goes offscreen to do his latest search.

I think convection might be more useful in a toaster oven because they're notorious for hot spots. The one I have now bakes very evenly but if you keep opening a small oven to rotate it definitely affects results. If I had it on my full sized oven I'd try it because I know one corner bakes cookies faster than the other.

What kind of meat did you use? Your weather sounds like ours.

Just advice, all convection is, is a fan built in to circulate and keep the temp more even. You know how they tell you to rotate your cookies and cupcakes halfway through? Convection makes it more likely they'll be evenly baked. It comes on with my bake function, I just hit the fan icon to turn if off most of the time. It comes in handy when keeping things warm that would get soggy without some circulation. I envy your new oven, I need one badly.

I love my toaster oven. I often have just a baked potato for lunch or supper and the size is right. I have pans that fit from previous ovens (this is my third over 20 years) and this one came with a pizza stone. OK, I'm addicted to baked potatoes and if I have some chicken it can go in there too. Just right for one or two. It's Kenmore and has convection which is great for evening out baking temps but I haven't done a lot of baking. We don't eat sweets and I'll bake bread in the regular gas oven. The toaster oven has lots of settings and the best part it heats up very quickly. This one has a thermometer that shows the increasing temp then the bake time starts when it reaches temp. What's not to love about an oven that shuts itself off. If I'm keeping pancakes on warm or heating up plates (we keep it cold in the house in the winter) it only takes a min or two to get it up to temp. Unfortunately electrical costs more here than gas. Toaster ovens heat up so fast I keep a towel and the pizza stone on top to sort of insulate it to save energy. You're lucky to have a big roaster oven, those things last forever. I never thought of baking in one.

Maybe it was just me but I laughed when Jawn was going into the description of his 200 times searching. You don't know who you are? I'll bet a few of us can tell you who you are. Suddenly Mar got the call and left and Jawn looked more stunned his long story was interrupted, more than any concern for Marlena. My ex and his brother could draw out the simplest story for so long that trying to finish sentences for them resulted in an even longer story. About social media, when Jeannie T woke up I thought I saw a Student Killed in Dorm headline on her tablet. I actually thought she was sleeping on the sofa over grief and that's why he was being nice but I guess Brady didn't know either when he came home because Mar said nothing to him or Jawn. I thought Jawn found out about it on the internet then asked Mar. I get the idea classes haven't started in Salem yet or Paige would have been gone (we should have seen her packing so that is strange) and JJ hasn't said anything about having to go to class. So that's probably why the lack of students at SU but surely there would be gawkers and police tape should still be up. Why was Dirty Tan so rude to Victor when he was looking for Kayla? What, Eeyore didn't just stay home in his hair shirt whipping himself and staring at statues of jeebus? The man has no self insight at all. I enjoyed him stumbling around with his plastic Devo hair out of place. He has no reason to feel guilty about Shrewena unless he's beginning to realize all the times he makes it a point to track down a woman just to tell her it's over, he doesn't mean it. But that would involve self awareness and if so he did a pretty good job drowning it. I'm loving Steve asking Vic and Hope some reasonable questions. Their lack of interest tell me that they don't care if they ever see Bo again either! I share that sentiment but it looks like he'll have a lot of scenes with Steve which is fine. I think we can all pretty much write the Bope dialogue. Caroline should never drive alone again. Did I see Salem pier is back?!! Nice. Seeing Steve and Bo there will be like old times.

Roman said he was going to notify next of kin. Seeing as Kim is his sister I'm going to believe he made that call. I don't think Eve feels like answering her phone right now, and as sisterly yet combative as Eve has been toward Theresa, she just found out and I'd be surprised if she called JT after refusing to hold her baby nephew. I find it more weird that there weren't still police around when she went to the dorm. I was beginning to wonder if she'd go there. She wasn't detained at the hospital to sign papers and make final arrangements or discuss an autopsy or verifying where she was that night. That's half the horror of losing someone. I was thinking about forensics too. JJ taking off the tie and hugging her (so he'll be a suspect, blah blah blah). Eve hugging her before an autopsy.

Kayla is still living at the pub. That's why she didn't want Joey to make a scene in the pub before the interview he botched. I guess he's going to public school. Good for him. I liked how organically Eve and Justin had been put together until the slobbering that happened today. Man, her walking down the hallway like that... I'm no KdP fan but it was working and I wanted to smack Rafe for standing outside the door.

She left the penthouse to Sami which is where she took Grace then Sydney home after she got out of witness protection. That's where Will and Mia bonded and we began to understand he didn't want to get physical with her. I don't care enough about Jarlena to remember where they went at that point. When they came back they got that apartment. Yes, that's where Will came out on Mar's sofa. When Jawn was being a dick and left town after the Kritter scheme blew up I always thought she just stayed there. Not sure where Jawn was living until now, I thought when he came back they reconciled and I wish they had. They had half the freaking show today. Well, them and Haiden sucking face over and over with all the other good stuff going on.

I do not want to know who the killer is. For instance, I am very glad I didn't know the exact date of Paige's death. And there hasn't been a big murder mystery on Days since Melaswen and this is their Big Deal Anniversary Plot. IMHO it's a little different than the usual spoiler. I expect people to speculate and that's all fun, but I'll have to maneuver differently to avoid this page. Melaswen is a great memory for me because I didn't have internet or read magazines and had no idea people weren't dead, there was just the shock people kept dying. I usually click on view next topic and when I get there I don't know what topic I'm in sometimes unless I scroll up. That's how I usually end up here accidentally. So now I go to Days and check for new comments and only click on the ones I want, but that just takes me to the topic page to scroll down to remember where I left off. I guess I'll be doing that from now on. The advantage of the view next topic button is that nice yellow line that shows me where I left off. That probably sounds lazy on my part but I've had too many jobs that hounded me to avoid as many keystrokes as possible. I personally like the idea of using the spoiler tab for the time being. But yes, I'll stay away.

I'm still stunned over the annoying-ting of the Failure as a Royal Princess. Will's just a Princess Prop now. Very excited over Theresa and Nicole. Dreading the BoBomb. I missed the show today a lot.

I could be wrong but all of these sugary bakes make me think of the sugar trade and the industrial revolution when the English needed tea and biscuits to start their day and that's how all these cakes were invented? The bit of time I spent in London stunned me as to their love of bakery. Yet it was less sickeningly sugary than what we find in the US. I still don't know how a sponge cake differs from a normal US cake but as I said, I'll keep watching. Looks like a bread bake next week. That will be fun.

This week I found out you can get 3 meals out of a 28oz can of Aldi baked beans and 2 hot dogs. A .39 peach yogurt goes great, it keeps longer than milk. Pretzels for breakfast. I might splurge on the 1.49 chicken pot pie tonight or save it for tomorrow. But I never eat 3 meals. Got 2 ok tomatoes out of the garden today. Bad tomato diseases this year. I'll take those and make some rice and curry powder for tomorrow. I've been out of bread for a week so I baked some. I'm out of practice but it stretched a few $3 a dozen eggs into french toast. ETA I find myself with questionable onions but I plan to batter and fry them soon!
