  1. They seem to be setting up some new mystery with cousin Lino (Tom calls him his adopted brother in the credits) and his mother. I wonder if the mother had powers and that's how she got shunned from the family. The summit was interesting, but yeah, I'm not sure that Claire would have sabotaged the penlight since it would embarrass the company. But after the summit, she totally took advantage of the sleep gel to get Claire to electronically sign those documents. Is Barclay really totally fixed? I still don't know if Rowan is just playing both sides or if he actually cares. I guess he assumes that Tom's dad is dead, and doesn't know that there's a current mission trying to save him.
  2. I was so hoping that Kerwin could get turned back to himself, but no, he stayed Russel, and Zhilan killed him. I guess the dagger only worked if you stab them in the heart, since the shoulder wound healed. I really wanted Zhilan to survive. Are we sure that the entire realm got destroyed? If Tan died from the stab wound, wouldn't that release all the Source energy back out? I don't know if it was Pei-Ling or Xiao that came out to the real world at the end. Did she absorb all the Source energy? Does that mean Nicky's no longer a Warrior? I would prefer that Evan be with the other lady and just continue being friends with Nicky. She doesn't necessarily need a love storyline next season. She can stay busy helping people after the earthquake, discovering whether she lost her powers, and dealing with the resurrected Pei-ling/Xiao mystery.
  3. yes, it's stupid writing and I hate it. It's really turning me off the show. It should be illegal for her to get bonuses from Maxdot if she's working for another company. Or, if we handwave it away as a payment for her appearing on the Maxdot infomercial, then her new company should have fired her ass for advertising a competing company. She should have ZERO jobs now, not TWO. If this incompetent writing continues, I may just quit this show. Plus, if Christina could have just given back her bonus, they could have given that to Goodwin instead. I don't know why Bob wouldn't insist on it, or give his own bonus to Goodwin. Fucking incompetent and selfish people, and now Christina is hiring Goodwin away. The whole storyline is shit.
  4. On the Tony Awards, CBS aired a promo for Ghosts featuring Isaac's jealousy of Hamilton and mentioning musical theatre.
  5. I found it interesting that Tom's mom said she would "wear black" for the dinner, and then didn't wear black at all.
  6. I liked it, though it was predictable that his father didn't really die. As long as it stays firmly about technology and not ghosts like Nancy Drew, I'll stay with it. I hope the evil conspiracy villains stay interesting but the writers don't get too far down the rabbit hole. Evil conspiracies can bog down some shows like Castle with the murder of Beckett's mom.
  7. Yeah, 'cause then we learn that it's not Pei-Ling giving this commentary, it's the Alchemist justifying her methods. Her words and her predictions about Mia should be taken with a grain of salt.
  8. I thought he couldn't afford one; he only had the janitor job for money, and that wasn't enough. He was trying to get a loan from his parents to get a place for him, his girlfriend and her son, but his parents kept telling him to slow down and not rush things. He still rushed into a proposal, but when the girlfriend turned him down, I think he finally decided to stop bulldozing ahead.
  9. I saw this twice, and it's really good. I love that scene where Evelyn's looking at Waymond lovingly with the lights circling her face. For a long time it seemed like she loved Alpha-Waymond more than her Waymond, but his speech on being kind, plus the speech from tuxedo-Waymond really made her see how much she really loved him, in all his incarnations. She must have realized also that Waymond always was able to talk Deirdre into giving them more chances; he always did it whenever she zoned out and wasn't paying attention. She mistakenly thought he was making things worse, but he was always helping her. Joy also showed an incredible array of emotions, and I'm glad she got her happy ending, finally making up with her mom, and having her girlfriend accepted by the family.
  10. The subtitles said the group was called teh Wan Zai, so apparently Henry's dad is part of the group keeping the music secret. He'll probably question Henry about the dead guy.
  11. Here's an article in Deadline about a potential season 2:
  12. There used to be a website in the Dallas/Ft Worth area called Pegasus News. They focused on "hyperlocal" news and events. So if you were in one particular suburb like Arlington, you could get content tailored to your area, rather than other suburbs or the whole metroplex. They also had a database of local restaurants, venues, and concerts, so that you could do a "hyperlocal" search in your area of what you wanted. Pegasus News seemed pretty good for some years, but I believe that the Dallas Morning News bought them out or something because they didn't want the competition with their own website. I guess Althea could do something like that for San Francisco and maybe break it down into different neighborhoods/districts like Chinatown.
  13. Lupe was good too, and she even played poker with the kids.
  14. here's some red carpet interviews from Paleyfest.
  15. Amber's blazers and bow ties are always cute. Her wardrobe is amazing.
  16. Besides Sarah getting a high paying job, Denise started to crave a baby when Marina had a pregnancy scare and Tom tried to comfort her by talking up the good things about babies. Denise said that since the kids were adopted, she didn't experience pregnancy, and now she wanted that. Sarah at first didn't want to have another kid, but eventually came on board. Personally, I think they need to save more money and get a bigger apartment or house first. If Connor's lonely, why can't he let Sarah and Denise move in to his house? Maybe set aside a suite of rooms for them, or if he has a guest house, let them rent that?
  17. It was interesting seeing Marina disagree with Denise, since they're usually so in sync as the Normals. Yet after the adventure was over and they found out the crawlspace was actually a full attic, they both said "Bonus room!" I liked the poker game, and Mark Cuban wasn't as annoying as I thought he'd be. When they asked why he didn't go to space, Cuban said, "I have a life." Spagos apparently divorced his wife real fast and is still in love with Sarah.
  18. Ok I was able to finally watch the whole episode and see Dele in the scene. I thought he was fine. He was just astonished at everyone being so obsessed with the commercial and taking credit for Bob's success. I thought he was biting his tongue against saying something sarcastic, because he didn't want to get in trouble for being disrespectful.
  19. Josh Chan. Wasn't the other Josh specifically called White Josh?
  20. Dele was in this? When? I missed a big chunk of the show because my local channel aired weather reports about a tornado. They said "you can keep watching the show on our other sister channel." That only works if I'm home to watch the show live. My Tivo knows nothing about having to switch the channel to keep recording the show. I tried to watch the episode on Paramount+, but they only had clips, not the whole episode. I was mainly disappointed that nobody even said anything about how Christine's new company reacted to the commercial. Why wouldn't they at least reprimand her, if not fire her, for that commercial? If they aren't rival companies, then why was Dottie threatening to sue to keep Christine's ideas? Makes no damn sense.
  21. I thought Dean's friends knew what was going on when they said, "she's pumping you for information," but no, they thought Pam was crushing on Dean. Not quite aware enough of how older girls aren't interested in kids their age. They've got a lot to learn.
  22. That fitness instructor in the park was Josh from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend! And it looks like he might become their sperm donor. I hope we see more from him. As always, I like Marina and Denise's friendship, though it was nice of them to make a new Ab-normal group for Connor. I bet he's feeling lonely after Jojo left.

    Turning Red (2022)

I loved the movie. Mei's panda form was so cuddly and cute that I could understand Abby begging her to transform. I hoped that some of the aunties might decide to keep their panda forms too, but I guess they've been living too many years without them. Besides, they can always break their talismans again if they ever need to release their pandas. The family had made the ritual sound like a once-in-a-lifetime thing that you could never revisit, but it looks like they can, so long as there's a red moon and people to sing around the circle. That one scene where Mei's Dad was cooking looked so good! It was like so delicious looking and almost 3-D real.
  24. When I checked Peacock, it said it was Peacock Premium. You can't watch it for free. It's really bugging me how much content they're putting behind the paywall. I would have thought they would only do this with popular shows, not shows with low ratings.
  25. Wow, I even saw him in a promo for the next episode! The main story seems to be about Trevor, but I wonder if we'll get any explanations about Crash too?
