  1. I went back and read the article from the media section and I think you might have mixed things up. Ann didn’t say Tom went out to run some errands while the repairman was there. She said Tom sent her (Ann) to run errands while he was there and that’s the reason she doesn’t know who shut Mya in the room. She wasn’t there when it happened. When she returned she did hear Mya scratching and let her out.
  2. I actually liked LVP on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the extent that I like any of the housewives. Let’s just say I was on her side more often than not during conflicts (or on the same side she was on when it was a conflict between other housewives) and I found her entertaining to watch and not in a love to hate sort of way. She had plenty of flaws but compared to the others she just didn’t seem that bad. But on this show, from the beginning, she’s been completely insufferable. It wasn’t so bad the first few seasons because she wasn’t on VPR that much but then she quit RHoBH and started appearing more often on VPR in subsequent seasons and she honestly started ruining the show. I can’t stand her now.
  3. All of the VPR cast members know Jo. I think maybe they met because she was a hairdresser. None of them liked her though except for Kristen. Kristen was friends with her until she hooked up with Schwartz after his split with Katie. I think she was always just really annoying, which I can understand now seeing her on the show. She annoys me too. She was friendly enough with Katie to know her phone number and text her after the divorce announcement with some encouraging words.
  4. The early episodes happened before they knew Rachel wasn’t coming back as @princelina said. I think Lala was designated as the person to bring her back in when she was ready to film. Usually that would fall on Scheana but because of the restraining order she wasn’t willing. Rachel had put the moves on Schwartz so Katie was out. Ariana too for obvious reasons. Lala was the best option so she was tasked with it. The whole thing screams of producer setup. Otherwise Scheana and Katie would have been way more pissed off with Lala, especially Scheana, who is very close to her.
  5. Ariana, from what she said on the most recent episode, doesn’t want him to have the house even if he did have the money to buy her out. If he had the money and offered her a fair price it would be better for her to just sell to him. It would be petty for her not to unless she wants to buy him out, but she hasn’t indicated that she wants that. That said, I doubt he offered her a fair price or that he has the money to buy her out, and if he doesn’t he should be forced to sell. That episode was also filmed a while back. I think it’s likely her stance has changed. I find it hard to believe she would waste money on taking him to court to force a sale just to keep him from getting the house.
  6. Stassi doesn’t live in the Valley and she appears to be doing (disappointingly) fine financially so I can see her turning it down anyway. She probably feels she’s above it all now. If you need another example of the fact that there’s no karma in this world it’s that Stassi didn’t fall flat on her face. (For the record, I know there are plenty of examples of karma not existing and some even more illustrative than Stassi but her landing on her feet is another one.)
  7. I think they should have just brought Kristen back to Vanderpump Rules. It was unfortunate that she wasn’t a cast member last season when Scandoval broke. She’s the only one of the former cast members I would want to see back on the show and the one that makes the most sense given her current friendship with Ariana (and Scheana, Katie, and Lala) and her past history with Tom Sandoval. I don’t have any desire to see Jax, Brittany, and especially Stassi back.
  8. Stassi and Jax had been broken up for a while when Kristin slept with him. He was free to have sex with whoever he wanted. You don’t owe your ex anything after a breakup. Kristen broke girl code by sleeping with Stassi’s ex, though Stassi reacted as though Kristen had slept with Jax while they were still together so a lot of people forget that fact that they weren’t. It was still wrong but not as wrong as sleeping with a friend’s current partner.
  9. Why would this situation be any different than a divorce? Divorce courts routinely force the sale of a jointly owned property and then designate how the proceeds should be split when one spouse can’t afford to buy out the other. I don’t think Ariana should be forced to pay for a property if she’s willing to sell just because her ex wants to stay there despite being unable to afford it. He isn’t entitled to a mansion (by California standards) in L.A.. They’ll make a nice profit off the property if they sell and then he can go buy a place he can afford with just his salary if he wants.
  10. I think the split is real. What feels fake is that they‘ve obviously preplanned it as a storyline. It’s not that the grievances aren’t real, it’s that they’re performing them for the cameras likely after the fact. It also feels like they’re not divulging the root cause of the split so these more minor annoyances are seemingly coming out of no where and don’t fully explain what happened. Also, they’ve clearly given the green light to friends and family to bring up their marital issues on camera so it feels staged and inorganic. There’s no way Mauricio’s mother confronts Kyle about the tabloid rumors on the show if Kyle and Mauricio haven’t told her to do it. I doubt Dorit would bring up their issues either since Kyle could retaliate by bringing up dirt on Dorit’s marriage, which she isn’t ready to fully explore on camera yet. It would also make her a giant hypocrite for being upset with Erika for predicting the demise of her marriage if she then turned around and brought up Kyle and Mauricio’s issues without their blessing.
  11. I didn’t listen to the podcast (I can’t stand Bethenny) so maybe I’m missing something but I don’t get how this is a contradiction. It sounds like before Scandoval broke, the show was most likely going to be cancelled after season 10 and this was confirmed by Alex Baskin. Of course, who knows with the Hollywood strikes if they would have been saved anyway but Scandoval meant the show was going to be renewed even pre-strike. Then during negotiations for season 11, which happened after Scandoval broke and they knew they were getting an 11th season, Rachel says that Sandoval told her that he was offered producer credit as part of the negotiations. That might not be true (that Sandoval told her that or that it was actually offered) but I’m not seeing how it’s a contradiction. Also, Bethenny was an executive producer on the Bravo show, Bethenny & Fredrick, so producer credit is sometimes given to cast members but it’s rare. I don’t think it’s happened on any Real Housewife shows.
  12. Rinna the hypocrite wouldn’t tell Kyle to own it. She never told Erika to own it ever and if anyone ever needed to own anything it’s Erika.
  13. Their separation was totally predictable and also surprising at the same time. I never bought the fairytale they were trying to sell but I did think they planned on staying together for the kids and the business (the real estate business as well as the reality television business). They're wealthy enough to lead separate lives while staying married so why divorce? It would be interesting to see what the catalyst was that led to the separation (an affair that got too serious, shielding assets, etc.). I doubt that Kyle and Mauricio will be totally honest about it since they’re protective of both their images. Maybe something will leak out from a third party though. If they do get divorced I’d bet on it being amicable. They have four daughters (Farrah was raised by Mauricio too) and there’s no way they haven’t worked out some of the logistics and financials already if that is the plan. They were together before they acquired the bulk of their wealth and while Mauricio made most of the money it was Kyle’s job (being on a reality TV show) that allowed Mauricio to be so successful and I think he knows that.
  14. Everyone keeps talking about Rachel's family "letting" her do the show. She's a grown adult not a minor. She can do the show whether they want her to or not. She doesn't require their permission unless she's under a conservatorship.
  15. I know the restraining order was dismissed. I was just pointing out that the scratch that she showed Sandoval on the finale was in the pictures she submitted with the request for the the temporary restraining order. I quoted your post saying that the scratch wasn’t in the supporting pictures when it clearly was. I made no claims as to how the scratch got there.
  16. The scratch was clearly visible in the pictures Raquel presented along with the restraining order. Here is a link to the TMZ article. https://www.tmz.com/2023/03/08/vanderpump-rules-raquel-leviss-claims-scheana-shay-punched-in-face-tom-sandoval-affair/ She has dark circles under her eyes so it’s possible that had nothing to do with whatever caused the scratch but she did get a scratch on her eyebrow.
  17. I’ll just say this. If I had to choose, I would rather have my husband have a months long affair with my best friend before we had kids than have an affair with someone I didn’t know after we had kids. For me, the Randall/Lala situation and Scheana/Eddie situations would have been worse than the Tom/Raquel situation. They’re all awful but at least when you don’t have kids you can completely cut the cheater out of your life. It’s a million times easier, even if you’re married (Ariana and Tom thankfully aren’t) and have a house together, to leave someone when you don’t have kids, both logistically and financially. You can cut everyone out of your life that has contact with you ex when you don’t have kids. When you do, that’s often times not possible. Lala is going to struggle with that rule when Ocean is old enough to make friends at school. Those friends’ parents will want to have a cordial relationship with both Lala and Randall so they can have play dates on both their custody days. Ariana, once the show ends or she leaves the show, will never have to have any contact with Tom ever again. She won’t have to ever have contact with Raquel ever again. Amber had to have contact with Lala for years even before they became friendly. I’m not defending Tom and Raquel. What they did was an absolute betrayal and it was horrible and Ariana has every right to be hurt and angry. I do think strategically she should have toned it down because I’ll admit that I had some sympathy for Raquel for the first time since Scandoval broke when she was on stage at the reunion. The combination of Ariana’s viciousness and the gang up was too much for me. I still think Raquel is an awful person and I think she’s been shown to have severely low levels of empathy but she’s still a human being and I can’t help but feel bad.
  18. Seasons two and three are generally considered to be the best of the series, at least until this season, so I would definitely watch seasons one through three. Season one is good but not as good as the second and third seasons but you’ll enjoy the second and third seasons more if you’ve seen the first season.
  19. I was suspicious it was a stunt because she was moving herself and using a U-Haul. There’s no way she won’t hire movers. She has the money and moving is hard.
  20. I’ve never been that outraged by Kristen sleeping with Jax because Tom had already cheated on her multiple times. While she took things up a notch by sleeping with his good friend while he had only slept with random girls, I could understand why she did it. Two wrongs don’t make a right and hers was the greater wrong, she should have broken up with Tom rather than cheat on him in a more humiliating way, but I just didn’t feel that bad for him with regard to Kristen. With regard to Jax, I did feel bad for him because Jax was his close friend and Tom hadn’t previously betrayed Jax that we know of anyway. Also, Tom didn’t break up with Kristen after she slept with Jax and they had survived other infidelities on both sides before so I can see how it seemed to her that if only Tom didn’t have Ariana they would still be together. Given Tom does seemed to need to be in a new relationship in order to move on from his last one, she might have actually been right. But their relationship clearly had an expiration date regardless. If it hadn’t been Ariana it would have been someone else or maybe he would have actually dumped her and been single if Ariana hadn’t come along.
  21. Lisa Vanderpump: “You will learn how to deal with your problems as you get older.” My husband: “Aren’t these people pushing forty?” If they haven’t learned by now…
  22. Stassi is insufferable all the way through but try to make it to seasons 2 and 3. Those are largely considered to be the best seasons of the show. Stassi decides she’s too good for the show in season 3 (I think) and stops hanging out with the other cast members so she’s in the show a lot less and it’s easy to fast forward through her scenes without missing anything important. When she first returns after realizing she actually isn’t too good for the show, she’s more tolerable, but that doesn’t last.
  23. I’m still interested in reading the remaining books in the main series (no spin-offs like Dunk and Egg) because the TV show ended so poorly. It’s not that the endings for each character was bad on its own necessarily (although I don’t think there’s a world in which Arya killing the Night King makes sense or brings any satisfaction), it’s that none of the endings made sense given the character arcs on the show. Also, there are several characters that I find vastly more interesting in books (Jon Snow being a prime example) so I’d like to see how they get to their destinations since they’re such different characters. For what it’s worth, I didn’t start reading the books until just before the second season of the show aired but they had been on my “to read” list since around the publication of the third book so I probably would have ended up reading them at some point anyway.
