That has always been something I felt has held Supergirl back from being the best show it could possibly be. The writers have always felt that because she is Supergirl and a woman that she needs to deliver a message to everyone and that message has to be loud and clear. If only they were good enough writers to weave those topics in like Buffy was able to throughout its run.

This feels like another after school special episode. this backhalf of the season doesnt seem to have a tight direction for something that is in the final season and in the process of wrapping up.

I was just thinking about the timeline and yeah it makes zero sense. 6 years ago Barbara isnt Batgirl yet but Catwoman jr. and already knows that Dick is Robin. She becomes Batgirl say...5 years ago? and is Batgirl through the very beginning of Jason Todd as Robin years which happened in S1. Joker must attack her in s2 or in the middle of Season 1? She becomes Oracle, say S2? Gordon is killed by Freeze and she gives up Oracle and becomes Commissioner all in that very very VERY short timespan?

Yeah....the Barbara stuff made no sense. They made her into a red headed Selina knock off who steals just because she's bored and wants to keep her father on his toes? That's the total opposite of who Barbara Gordon is. This show is fairly terrible of showing how Alien Kori is so it was fairly refreshing to see Blackfire bring some Tamaronian to the house even if royalty is pretty much the same no matter what planet you are on lol.

Except she's lost her squad (money), she has nothing now. This is the part where the bully gets taken down by everyone because they've lost their power, like in Jawbreaker.

I wish but I doubt it. These two do their best work in the talking heads but tend to be rather mute face2face. I was a bit surprised that she just sat at that first dinner just silent while everyone talked about Sutton. Nothing wrong with letting people fight their own battles but Id like her to back Sutton up more.

Kathy is just as intimidated by Erika as everyone else is. She views Dorit as a joke.

This cast is exhausting.Sutton is all bark while talking to others and in confessionals but is afraid to be 100% honest with Erika. Kyle rarely knows how to speak up this year unless its calling Sutton out on her becoming timid when confronted with Erika. Rinna doesn't say a thing. Dorit can be big dog on campus when calling out Garcelle but tries to treat Erika with puppy gloves. Crystal can call out Sutton but is totally quiet when it comes to Erika. And Garcelle is great at telling it like it is in confessionals but doesnt want to tell it like it is to people's face half the time. Why is everyone afraid of Erika? What is there to be afraid of? What power does she have? Like Rinna used to famously say:

I know Aliens living out and about all over National City has been Supergirls thing since practically day 1 so they could do their own immigration type subplots but I wish COIE got rid of that aspect so they could explore Earth getting used to Aliens that arent Superman/Supergirl. It doesn't really gel with the rest of the Arrowverse. Like where did these thousands of Aliens come from that decided to refuge in national city? Advancent technology to get to Earth but then robbing stores to get money.

You have to be really good at your job to reboot a successful show that laid the groundwork for you to adapt and make better but somehow fail at doing so and become a bigger mess than the OG already was. That's talent. 3 showrunners in 4 years, already lost 1 lead actress, a minor reboot after the first season...

I found this to be rather boring and not interesting at all. Everything that has to do with Jason has been rushed to death and a character that is the bad boy version of Dick has failed miserably. Actor is great, looks great as Robin, even when he showed up it wasnt bad but the way they've done his storylines have not made things any better for him. Is Crane like Bruce? Wherein they can use Crane but not his Scarecrow persona? because I dont know why we havent seen him all Scarecrowed up....and how does he have so much sway in Arkham that he is able to sneak away and resurrect Jason? A villain finding out Bruces identity should be pretty big but Im guessing it wont mean a thing. And can they please stop these stupid "lets rear up a storyline only to put it on ice for an episode to explore something else" that they like to do every single season.

Which is stupid because they could turn him into smaller animals to get out o tricky situations but they refuse to. He's a waste in this show.

If they do another "Sara dropped me off to visit mom" type thing....it'll be very Arrowverse.

It's very clear that CW isnt giving them much of a budget for this 5 episode "event" because apart from Black Lightning and maybe The Atom if they let him do Atoming....everyone else is very practical and CGI light. But do not give me another Crisis where they are kicking CGI and looking ridiculous while doing so. I was really expecting them to introduce some new heroes during this (could still happen but doubtful)

If this were any other franchise, the party would've been WAY LONGER and probably TBC. Garcelle was great but she really should've went in on Dorit, Garcelle has been way to nice to everyone. I wanted her to stick up for Sutton (she didnt need to but...I want mess) as she is the only one in the cast who is really willing to raise her voice back to Erika.

How did we move on from Erika going off on Sutton so quickly? Everyone just acted like its another day in beverly hills. This is the issue with the cast since S6. Majority of them dont like to pop off when needed and just back down.

I just wish they were more exciting guest stars. Any excitement I had for this was quickly diminished.

This version of Kory just seems to be able to shoot fire and nothing else. Sure she can crisp you to death but she seems to try to avoid it.

The therapist storyline just feels stupid. I was expecting more out of our first big meeting of Blackfire, i'm sure we'll learn more about her but the whole Tamaran/alien story has been such a let down from the get go.

If noms remain the same I do not see Ky/Hannah/Big D voting against X. The cookout has cracks but nothing that major yet.

I was shocked for a second before I came back down to Earth and remembered who had majority vote lol. Getting X out would be a good/major move but it wont be happening this week if at all.

It was an ok finale, overall really good season...totally hated the ending though. Of course im sure they'll spend S2 explaining how Natalie got to E1 but...I didnt need this type of "happy ending". I rather they explore Natasha Irons instead of Natalie Irons...and we already had John explore his feelings with Lois and now we have to explore Natalies feelings with Lois being not her mother but a version of her mother. I knew it'd be her in the pod but I was hoping it'd be Powergirl.

To be fair....they all are lol. Several have said their "goodbyes" to the show since they know it's likely done for good. RHOC/RHOA/RHONY have all had (or will have) delayed starts on seasons but Bravo has never put out word on them halting them. Im surprised they even said anything at all.

Well that sucks. Though from day 1 Bravo has treated RHOD very interestingly.....it was the only franchise to air at 10pm majority of its run and it didnt have any heavy hitters to help it like RHOP did. While it is likely canceled as Bravo doesnt officially cancel any of their shows...I hope they bring it back in 2023 with a fresh face lift. Yeah I wouldnt mind if she came back if she truly had some growth from the last time we saw her.
