  1. I want birthday cupcakes with Betty's face on them.
  2. I agree that the main story was pretty thin. Most of the meat I already knew about, like the explanation about the wrongly observed speed of a UAP, but I did like seeing old clips of people talking about aliens and such, as well as the news report bits -- Mike Wallace introducing his cigarette, John Chancellor laughing about "UFO" being painted on the side of a UFO. Oh, and I liked hearing the suggestion that UAP sitings could be attributed to seeing a flock of pelicans because I had a "What is that?" moment when I saw some once. I didn't think they were a UAP, but I couldn't figure it out until I drove closer and saw the pelicans. The previous stories, like Mangi's confirmation hearing, were infuriating.
  3. I haven't had that problem with LWT or with Max in general. (I watch on my laptop.) I have had it occasionally with other streaming services. Very annoying.
  4. I think there was a purpose other than having Will respond strongly. If Antonio has friends who are anti-police, then what does that say about Antonio? I don't want him to be a bad guy either, but I actually hope, for the sake of good writing, that there's something in his past (or present) related to problems with the police. Whatever that may be.
  5. I was watching some other show, and a character was named Betty. For me, there is now only one Betty.
  6. This was one of my favorite parts of the ep. Not just the sweetness of what they were saying, but also how they were jostling around for the camera. Yeah, I wish I wasn't bothered by all the predictability. I was holding out some hope that Questlove wouldn't show up, just so it wouldn't be predictable, but no. And we all knew that Janine would come back to Abbott. Frankly, I was getting annoyed at how she was reacting to every reminder that she was officially becoming a district employee. I know it was supposed to be funny, but it just bugged me. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood to watch. I did enjoy the opening with The Bear scenes. And then later when the cafeteria chef (cook?) called out "Corner!" before Ava bumped into her. Then Ava saying, "Are we just yelling out things we see now? Walls! Floor! Huge mess of food!" Jacob squeaking out "I did" when Ava asked who sent the new flyer out was great. Another thing I liked was the different district employees. Funny, distinct characters. Esp the one from HR. I always love hearing people say, "One of us. One of us," from Freaks.
  7. I'd choose death by chocolate.
  8. I'm going to have to watch that last bit so I can put the voices to the names.
  9. Wow, that Papyrus 2 sketch was long. I enjoyed this ep. I haven't liked all of the alien abduction sketches, but I did like this one. Loved Ryan's line about the aliens being like a broken doorbell: No dong. I'm not a fan of all the breaking, but mainly because the audience cheers and hollers like it's the best thing in the world. I liked the monologue. I like Emily Blunt. I absolutely LOVED the engagement sketch. Ryan and Andrew were so good. Ryan whispering was hilarious. This was the best. Get That Boy Back was pretty good. Bugged me that I couldn't always understand the guys in the bar sketch. Beavis and Butthead was another great one. Again, too much breaking, but I still laughed. Didn't care for WU. I don't think there was a joke that I particularly liked. The hospital sketch was pretty good. I like Bowen's weird character. I wish Ryan hadn't kept blowing at his bangs. I suppose he thought that was funny, but I think it would have been funnier if he just ignored it, as his character probably would do. Erin Brockovich was another good one.
  10. I'm gonna guess that something more significant is going to happen with Luke. He's a reporter, so it'll probably have something to do with that. He'll uncover some info about one of the other characters (Antonio?), or he'll get killed investigating a story, or whatever.
  11. Are jelly bean belts a thing? First I'd heard of them.
  12. True. But I doubt there will be more to this on the show.
  13. The threats seemed to be coming from that one guy, who was arrested.
  14. I loved all the drag queens. I got the strong feeling at the end that the lawyer would be back. So much humor in this one, and I like it. Helps a lot. The vanilla envelope banter and doing French braids was great. More of this, please. Like others, I hope Antonio doesn't turn out to have some heavy baggage.
  15. Mr. Tough Guy. Great job of them in uncovering the truth about Absolute Solutions, but what a depressing story. And I think any Gov or AG who pushes for the death penalty should be required to watch one being carried out. The palate cleansers of the running dogs and Ilgar were very much appreciated.
  16. Yeah, I thought I might have to look there. I just don't want to come across any spoilers. BTW, I'm currently reading Harbour Street and loving it. I think I'm going to read a lot more. ETA: Geez, big ol' brain fart. 'Harbour Street' is a Vera book, not a Will Trent book.
  17. Overall, I thought this was pretty good. Yeah, there wasn't really much to this sketch. Plus since I don't follow sports, it didn't appeal to me. When Kristen was talking to the band and then said, "Lenny on sax, how are you doing?" when he said, "I'm ok," I cracked up. I'm not a big fan of cameos, but I have to said I love every single one of the guys who cameoed, so I was fine with this. I esp loved the interaction that Jon Hamm and Martin Short had with Lorne. All these guys are funny. I wasn't really feeling the Jumanji/dinner party sketch until Andrew was debating Kristen about Jumanji. That was great. I did have a fear that this would end with Kristen being right, so of course that happened. However, I did love seeing Will Forte appear. (And I miss The Last Man on Earth.) The pilates sketch caught me off-guard. Obviously pilates has been popular for a long time, but is there something new about it? Was it the machine they referenced? I liked Kristen as the old-fashioned secretary more than Heidi. But I didn't particularly like this. Loved the retirement party, esp Fred Armisen, Kristen, and Will Forte. I really liked Marcello as the NY earthquake. I also liked, when Aunt Linda was there, when Che spoke up and she said, "Where di you come from?" The go-carts sketch was very good. I liked the Sonic Pioneers/French variety show sketch, but I would have loved it if there was more French spoken. That amused me more than the dancing. The musical guest was fine. At least I didn't FF thru the performances.
  18. How was he different in the books?
  19. Thank you! I missed that explanation. I guess it's because I was really tired when I watched, but I also missed a lot of the plot holes that people here have pointed out. And I didn't quite follow some other stuff. Does anyone know who played the rapist in the flashback scenes? It was a different actor, right? Anyway, he looked familiar. All the scenes with him (past and present) were so intense and scary. Hated seeing the policemen being so happy that Amanda was a suspect. Amanda looked great in that press-conference dress. I also loved the little wave she did to Will in the mirror. I don't know what it'll take for me to enjoy the Ormewood character. I really don't think that's possible. I can tolerate him if it's just him investigating. So, yeah, the family stuff is not interesting and a time-waster to me.
  20. I watched seasons 1 and 2, but then it fell off my radar. I liked it. I may rewatch the last ep of S2 before I start S3.
  21. I LOVED that! When he started to lift his leg, I was shocked that the show would buy those trash shoes, so.. WHEW! Well done. It's just amazing that people are giving Trump money when he keeps saying he's a billionaire or multi-millionaire or whatever it is he's now saying. It's not just "owning the libs," but psychologically it makes people feel like they're bonding with him, creating this shared experience of winning and being in the right. They have no clue that he doesn't give a shit about them, only their money. As far as food delivery apps, I used them once or twice years ago -- maybe even pre-pandemic -- and I just didn't care for them. However, I understand how important they are to many people. But it's so weird that they're not making a profit.
  22. Wow. I thought this was a bad ep. I barely even smiled. I don't think I've seen any of Ramy's standup. I did watch his show, though I believe I haven't watched all the seasons. Anyway, I didn't think his monologue was all that funny. I too wish that when the show does a Trump sketch they would be more biting. I don't think these sketches show him as cute and harmless. They show him as narcissistic, incoherent, and a grifter. I would like for them to show him as dangerous and, frankly, unAmerican. But for me the highlight of the show was the Cold Open. Everything else was dull and mostly unfunny.
  23. I thought she hung up like it was a wrong number.
  24. I didn't think about other people seeing it. We SHOULD hear various characters talking about it. I guess at this point Amanda doesn't know the threat is directed at her.
