  1. Yeah, I mean these characters actually have all back stories to them. It's nicely refreshing, and some are actually a bit embarresed by things that sadly they have no control over. Like with the grandmother here, which also you know, ties into established character's history. I also like the turn around with the Sex Ed story. How they went from: "Come on this is stupid" to: "You know what, you raise damn good points and why did I know this stuff when I was their age." I also like the two C stories with both high school girls. One was realizing how a simple mistake happened and why you have a right to choose. To of course the other one where the mother just never got in her head, that it isn't just a "monthly thing" but also the fact the interns were: "You could have never known this, the important thing is everyone is ok and can move on."
  2. Considering the woman he is with has been toxic for years. That that same woman got her former husband killed because he was so pissed off at Jack. The fact she has now fallen into a drunken stupior who is using her family's money to keep her bills paid and the life insurance from him dying. I mean when she said: "He would have fixed the roof that moment." I'm like STFU, you cowardly bitch. I really do hate the fact we have these people who others just do what they say just because "damn they are good at sex" or I get off a feeling of feeling "special". What's wrong with the world today we put these people up on pedistals and they are sad, spoiled people who really cold OD tomorrow and you be like: "What I see in them?
  3. No kidding, I mean the Dixon's are the textbook example of a toxic marriage. Sadly, we see those marriages almost celebrated in both politics and entertainment. I mean after getting the entire backstory of everything, now the Dixon family issues make plenty of sense. Of course you have to love the entire: "He was my rebel stage and I could sink his campaign in 2 seconds but... oh so sexy when he talks about sticking it to the common people. Oh rich life is so much better!" I mean the two of them, the world be a better place if she accidently caused a fire and they went up in flames.
  4. Yeah, at this point, there is no winning with her mom. Yes, early on you got it and also Yolanda lying about things. However, at this point the rest of the family has and wants to move on. Yet she is: "You flashed your boobs for a stupid boy and got it shown everywhere. Now you want to be a super hero! Get the FUCK OUT!" At that point it's: "Yeah, why do you keep making it about yourself? You aren't shit in Blue Valley."
  5. Yeah, just keeps pointing out the captain is going to get them all killed. That Sully was right about everything and he is just good at hiding the booze and avoiding drug tests because "he knows people". Yeah, not to seem cliche, but really why isn't Andi captain? Oh right. Reasons.
  6. Plus, Yolanda is still bitter that Cindy originally tricked her in sending that topless picture to everyone in the school. Which Cindy was told by the ISA to turn Henry Jr away from her to eventually use Henry Jr for their own purposes. Henry admitting he knew about the picture, but never understood why Yolanda took it, but never defender her either. I mean, Cindy would go to Yolanda's parents and be: "It's my fault your daughter took that topless picture, I sent it to the whole school. I was jealous of her and Henry and I wanted Henry." But Cindy can't do that and more reasons why Yolanda doesn't trust her. With Rick, it frustrates me, Geoff Johns has beautifully written Rick in the comics for years, but teenage Rick is so much angst. In the comics, I know why he hated Cameron, but here it's: "Your dad bad! Your grandparents bad! I hate you because you will be bad, but hey forgive Grundy because he was a trained animals who didn't know what he was doing."
  7. I said this on the last episode, but it took Jessica basically revealing who Silver was for Amanda to go: "Holy shit, he is worse than Kreese and Daniel was right." Well, how many times did she have to be beaten over the head from seasons 1-3 to get the fact that Cobra Kai was ran by insane people who manipulated and bribed locals to keep them from being shut down until Daniel won the tournament in the third movie. I mean you still had the legacy in The Next Karate Kid and Amanda was still: "Holy shit, you mean all this was real? Daniel was right... again!"
  8. The biggest problem with Amanda's character is she still doesn't get how bad Cobra Kai really was from it's founding including the origins of its martial arts to how Silver and Kreese ran the place. Yes, she gets how they manipulated the teens from the 70s to 80s and they ended up in better places in life, even if it took longer with with Johnny and others. However, she saw how bad Kreese was and what type of monster he was and what it was doing to the teens in the current version of Cobra Kai. I get tired of her going: "Your stupid little karate thing." Yes, but it almost got your daughter killed. Your son bullied another one to the point he is now a 14 year old waiting to get arrested (who's parents don't want to deal with their kids issues). To where every time Silver is involved. Not only does Daniel get screwed over, but anything he touches ruins things for her. At what point does Amanda go: "Holy Shit, everyone involved in Cobra Kai was evil or manipulative, you know what I should just believe Daniel and Chozen."
  9. Having Chozen reveal the origins of the Cobra Kai type of fighting was really amazing. We got the hints and stories about it in season 4, but boy they really had a great way of explaining why it was so contraversal and why Miyagi didn't know about. Chozen saying "holy shit" was beautiful.
  10. I'm pretty sure that Mr. Bones and Nurse Love are behind the cameras around town.
  11. She was fine early on, but as time went on. Jill was just: "her way or the highway". Plus making it where she could NEVER admit she was wrong was just horrible.
  12. No kidding, especially when he almost "destroyed" the carrier with the F-18 engine.
  13. The show has a good concept and it's fun to watch the families. However, Kelly really doesn't do that good of a job and also the ending is just plain dumb. I mean the only reason the one little girl picked the new car was so she could "listen to her music." The other kids are constantly: "oh look toy! Not $45K vehicle that the family really really needs these days." If the show ends up a 2nd season (doubtful). They are going to be telling the little kids: "You fucking pick the car or the big prize. If we win, we will buy the damn toy for you!"
  14. Which was introduced in the first season after they had Ernst Borniegn on. I also liked how it showed up back and forth the next few season. Even more in the 2nd season premiere we saw Al you know having a beer and joking with the K & B Crew. First time I felt Al was a normal guy instead of: "Everyone just loves him because Tim is the screw up."
  15. Pretty much, Brad got Mark's old room a couple of years before. Jill agreed since Brad was the oldest, he could have his own room. Randy got the basement after arguing with Mark too much. I honestly don't get why Brad wanted the basement so much. His room was fine, he had the space and he was in the farthest room.
  16. Didn't know if anyone was going to start discussions on episodes. I'll go, Season 3 is the best, Season 6 is the worst. Even though I know Season 6 was plagued with limited episodes and actors dropping out of the series.
  17. I brought up too when Jill told Tim after the second hotrod was finally done. "Raise your hand and repeat after me: I will never do a hot rod project AGAIN!" I wanted to go: "Why?" you have the money, you find Tim annoying when he was around you all the time doing nothing. Two of your three kids are out of the house? What was Jill thinking he was going to do with his spare time? She would have been too busy starting up her own career in her MID 40s. She be gone all the time or working on a lot of cases the first couple of years. Hell, if things went well, she could even be teaching courses at a local community college as a result too. Many professional shrinks do and even have side gigs. Plus, Jill was going into general practice as her plan, not opening her own practice. She would be doing tons of paperwork too to meet state requirements. Something that has plagued Tim Allen's shows for years was. His character could have the big dough, but his spouse would make a big deal about it. Then he point out with: "Excuse me, we aren't hurting, I earned it well." Then he feel guilty about it and then compromise or go back. Of course as Last Man Standing went on, Mike Baxter was more of an asshole trying to realize if it was time to retire and let the world be. Tim Taylor was doing stuff he was passionate about, yet his spouse and friends were: "Oh Tim, just grow up!"
  18. The problem like a prequel series such as SNW, you really have a problem. You get boxed in with established continuity, but you also get characters that you could use more like Hemmer. Get killed off earlier than planned. I mean let's face it we know people like: M'Benga or La'an and Ortegas will not making it to the original series. However, doesn't mean you have to kill them off right away either. SNW has two seasons and was pretty much given the green light for season 2 when they were just finishing off the last two episodes. So, I don't know if killing Hemmer was the right idea. We also have no idea if in the finale or season 2 Scottie will be front and center to take over for him. At least with O'hura she is basically an intern and had talked in the original series she had been on the Enterprise while still finishing the academy. You can get away with that and while everyone knows what will happen to Pike. Where the hell did everyone else but Spock go? It's a double edge sword.
  19. Very true and shows like Cheers after season 1 had story arcs planned out in advance. They ran into problems when they had actors die like with Coach at the end of season 3. Or when Bebe Neworth decided to leave to work on her Broadway shows that lead to a lot of things not making sense and trying to get the Fraiser Spin off to work. Even though they stepped on continuity problems. Same happened with shows like Who's the Boss. It's like when Tony went back to school, which was something he wanted for years and it turned into: "Tony finished high school" to: "Tony you don't need this class, you would have passed out of it!"
  20. Pat would be really interesting.
  21. Yes and that went on to the late 70s. When divorces became more common and AIDS in the 80s, condoms became more fixture on things just like the pill. Sadly these days, people act like it is the 1880s all over again with: "Well, if you got knocked up, it's your own damn fault, should have not had sex you tramp."
  22. My wife and I started watching this show more on Antenna TV and Rewind. I forgot how funny it was, I didn't watch is really until season 3 when the show really started to hit it's strive.
  23. Star Trek is just as bad, but man times like this. I almost feel ashamed to be a Star Wars Fan. I just try to enjoy it.
  24. How some people are, they don't get what they want. Burn everything to the ground with a: "You should have given me what I wanted!"
