  1. How true on the one episode, but it was later said that it was meant to have more point, but they never got to it. Just like the Vorta's TK powers were dropped because of expenses after their debut episode. Plus the fact the entire "cloning of the Vorta" became a thing because they loved Jeffery Combs performance so much. Then admitted that materials were lost when their cloning factors were destroyed with NO back ups anywhere. The hand waving was: "Changlings didn't trust solids and if the Vorta screwed up we can just clone them again... opps now we have no more cell samples. Oh well."
  2. Right and that would also make sense. Something even Rodenberry said way back in the day: "If the enemies of the enterprise/federation actually could like each other long enough, the Federation would be gone." What ultimately did in the Dominion wasn't Sisko and the Federation not giving up. But you had in fighting between the Jem Ha'dar between who was better: gamma born or alpha quadrant ones. Several Vorta started seeing that the Founders were dying and saw the war was not becoming stupid. The Changlings were a mess with their: "You can't trust solids" to "Hey, they saved us, but F' that, we were about to just be a meat grinder in the final days of the war and probably in a week. We would have been extinct and same with our forces. So, let's go back to the entire undercover that didn't work out in the long run." Even with that scism of the Great Link, they needed allies to carry out any type of plan. I could see either the original parasites from season 1 laying low, seeing a commonality between them and the Changlings and pissed off Romulans as we saw in season 1 of Picard and maybe other forces being like: "Hey, we all hate the Federation, but we hard Picard more and guess what these other people like Crusher and Section 31 screwed us over, want to team up?" However, you still have to figure out how you can get things in like Vadic fitting into all of this. She goes as a Bounty to hunter but to have a Changling spy on a SPECIFIC ship going after ONE person in paticular that many in secret knew was Picard's son. There is a piece of the puzzle missing here. Someone who had to put this all together, get the subspace equipment to others, SPECIFICALLY Target not only Picard but the entire former crew of the Enterprise D-E. Then have it where even the Changlings were: "We will destroy Worlds and have our revenge!" There is some classic revenge scheme going on here and USING others to do it all and they all get something out of it.
  3. I think it is the latter, because we know that an "aged" hologram Morarty is going to show up too from several previews. He has much against Picard, but to the point he would want the Federation to go down as extra? I think there is more to that, especially the fact that the Bounty was specifically put on the Crushers. That seems more personal than a terrorist faction of the Changlings to go after them. I mean, Vadiac had the portal gun, we know that was all stolen by someone else and was pretty top secret. Why no one understood the firing when the Shrike was teasing them. Plus, I don't see Vadiac's crew as a poorman's version of the Jem'Ha Dar.
  4. I am surprised that it well end after 5 seasons, but they way things were talked about "more" Star Trek series including a spin off from Picard. It does make sense. Same happened with TNG once Voyager got the green light they knew the show was going to end by season 7. In fact many cast members thought they go on another year back in 93. So, yeah, I think it's coming down to cost and production and salaries. At least they are making sure it has a proper conclusion.
  5. Really enjoyed this episode, but you know there is more than a rogue section of Changlings really behind this. I mean, you had them trailing Picard and Riker. They wouldn't put a hit on the Crushers just for reasons. Why even have a bounty on them for someone like Vadic to follow? Also, how was it the Shrike had the same subspace weapon that destroyed the institute? Yeah, someone else is behind this and is targeting not only Picard but anyone associated with the Enterprise D/E. Yeah, there is more to this, the Changlings are just getting the satisfaction of revenge and Vadic because she loves this shit. Someone else is pulling the strings.
  6. The problem is, the show constantly paints Dixon as he is the "bad guy" people surrounds himself with are equally bad. Yet you get two in there that are: "No, I don't want to go against the boss. I'll lose my job and I still believe we are doing good." The show would go miles above if they really explained MORE of what goes on with these side characters. Having the "I have to have my hand on my gun all the time" speaks of someone who has had too many situations and is now paranoid to even if a dog looks at him wrong. The other one who "kept stepping" forward is an example of someone ready to pounce, but won't do it unless he is given the nod. Meaning he is prone to being impulsive and now he just waits for an "excuse" to act and be vindicated for his actions. I get the show is trying to show the issues of "The times" and I do agree how these people act and get very few consequences until it's so big they can't turn the other way. Then get the whole: "Why did you just sit there when you knew it was wrong and didn't say anything?" Dixon we got the heavy handed origins, he was brought up to do whatever you can to get ahead. Whether that was from doing "favors" or leeching off people like has done with his wife. Even if she sadly is a sadist who enjoys it at times, which is from her upbringing of being born rich. Then the show throws in these one-note "yes-men/women" and there is no story. Just because you have a main or side character calling out all the plot holes, doesn't mean it isn't poorly written.
  7. I'm waiting for Crosshairs to be: "You interrupt me eating breakfast one more time and I'm going to show you how great of a sharp shooter I am." He is a very conflicted person, hell it's almost the equilivant of depression.
  8. I was very happy with the finale. I mean it did wrap up everything for season 1 and opened up season 2 very well. We know they are going to go find Chakotay. However, when Janeway said: "I have something bigger in mind." I'm like: "What? Is it the Voyager-A?" I also like the fact that they flash forward a month to clean up things saying: "It was a set back for Starfleet, so they are going to try and move on." I did love the brief pieces of the Academy and Zero's new look is very nice.
  9. Yeah, that's something the misses and I keep pointing out. How they get the jealousy out of nowhere and leave, but then a couple hours later in the show's time, it turned out to be right. Or as other people point out: "ummm... they are kissing and groping each other that is pretty proven they aren't into their other halves that much." Then other characters are: "Oh get over it." Then proceed to do the exact same thing and feel guilty over it. I agree Emily was in a bad situation with Camille and as we found out it was more her mother that wanted this life for her and Camille was lying to herself, but it "took the right person" to bring it all out. Same goes with Mindy, we get it, growing up rich does damage to you, but she kept screwing up her own relationships on her own and then proceed to be: "Oh well, you were right, so I just decided to do it anyhow." The problem with Sylvie and Laurent is that they just wanted different things in life, but were too scared to what their family and friends thought. Yet, everyone was very aware of Sylvie's sex life and their parents are dead and they have no kids. It's more on them going: "I can't have my cake and eat it too." They love each other, respect their life styles, but they want different things in life and outside knowing each other their whole lives and love. That does not equal a strong or lasting marriage. So either stay with each other or call it quits and stay friends.
  10. Yeah and considering that Savior had such investment in the US, they honestly could freeze ties without blinking. That was the thing, I could understand clients pulling out after what happened in season 2 and signing up with Sylvie. But they acted like Savoir was: "yeah, have your clients, contracts, ect." When Europe is much more stricter on those kind of things not happening. I get it's a TV series and they have to use characters for their plots, but despite how people want to believe, that's not how that happens.
  11. She comes off as too whinny and also why the hell is she talking french when all the people she was talking to are US citizens and her bosses? I also like how should could just go straight back to work and dump her new born baby off without batting an eye. Yet Emily is the only one going: "Umm... where is the baby and how are you doing that?"
  12. Also glossed over the fact that this was the VERY reason why she couldn't go to Paris to begin with. Plus, then having the baby right there and then and who ever the father is could apparently care less.
  13. I wondered about her work visa, it made sense before Emily parted ways with the parent company and also explained why Sylvie might be good at the big business deals, but she has NO CLUE on the inner workings from taxes to HR. I actually do like that because it finally shows more that Sylvie isn't be all as she puts that thoughts in her head. I get the boyfriend with how Laurent seems to just go back in and out of Sylvie's life and the two acting like old high school friends instead of "separated spouses". I mean from what we got, they wanted different things in life, but couldn't divorce because: "other people would be upset."
  14. Having Sylvie going back to her "husband" that fast after being upset that she got dump there was too much. Also proved that really, Sylvie gave up a quiet and comfortable life with her husband because she "wanted" to be this big business woman at this point just makes her petty. Plus, this is why Maddie was so upset at how Suvair was getting clients through: affairs, back door dealings and everyone was: "Hey this is France/Europe". Now, ,they are all like: "Well, be happy and stay away from my husband/boyfriend from now on." Yet they all acted like: "Well, it's business." I do like how both Alfie and Emily told Antoine and were like: "It's so simple and I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner?' Only for Antoine to be bruised pride that he also did think that way and then decided they were right in the end. The biggest problem with these characters we have learned over the last three seasons is they don't want to "make the tough choices" even though everyone is like: "Why don't you? What are you so scared of." I mean when you look at it, Sylvie just didn't want the boring life in the country, but at the same time, her husband could have been: "Well ok, let's just split up, not like have children or anything and our parents are all long dead." With Antoine's wife she should have been: "Enough of this crap, I'll take half what is mine and you will survive because you do hire smarter people than you to keep your ego in check and seriously, you are a good investor in businessman, not like our families are going to throw fits if we divorce."
  15. Now everything is making sense. How they used the sub routines in Holo Janeway so even she didn't know what was going on. It was used both in Next Generation, DS9, Lower Decks and yes, Voyager. The mission has been to get the Protostar back to Starfleet and then using it as a Ground Zero infection to take the Federation apart. They just didn't count on screwing up their calculations with the worm hole and the kids finding it before the Diviner or anyone else from his race. The classic: "The best laid plans. Opps!"
  16. The thing is, we get what is going on with the Diviner, but it's the classic: "We could have accepted our faults and we took things the wrong way and rebuild. But nah, blame The Federation, if they wouldn't have shown up, life would have been great. Ohhhh.... time lost ship from the past? I got an idea!"
  17. Well, at least everything now makes sense. Also seeing that the Kazon are still a horrible race to everything they have done since Voyager. Also, I'm glad that Vice Admiral Janeway is now putting the pieces together about what happened with the Protostar. However, as we can see, time travel screws up more stuff than you think.
  18. ON another note. Look Jill Taylor is a book writer. My God, has Richardson gone white.
  19. Exactly! Why I have been loving the current series and Prodigy is working great and showing all sides of that. From the good, the bad and yes, even the ugly of it all.
  20. The Crocks are just trained people, they really don't have any "special powers". When Mike used the drill on Larry back in season 1. That is something he could recover from. Being frozen and shattered into pieces of flesh, when your main powers aren't ice that you are born with. Yeah, sadly it is also how the comics treated Paula and Larry after the 80s: "Their daughter is the 10 times better bad ass, who needs them?" I can see Humanite helping Jordan, if you remember back in season 1 with him and Dragon King talking. They were talking about a "friend" of theirs they thought of needing. Humanite has been part of the ISA in the past, even created a version at one time. The only people that really were with Jordan were Brainwave and Dragon King and the Fiddler both versions. Jordan also kept Grundy on a lease to keep him under control. Even Shiv thought Jordan was a loser. He is on a revenge tour.
  21. Always have to like shows that just run by and never notice their friend has been injured and then see their uniforms/equipment just standing there. Instead of: "Wait! Where are they?" It's: "Oh well, guess they went home or something." Something about Maya's self destruction, her trying to be Hussain Bolt was just laughable and the way she fell, she more likely tore a ligament than fall like that and knock herself out on the treadmill.
  22. I agree, its all him, even Addison was confused why he acted the way towards her until she realized he didn't want anyone to know about it. Yes, Amelia was being bitchy, but after everything that happened with the Interns. I be like: "Look! NEPHEW! By the end of the day you better tell your friends this is all made up and if they still don't believe you. I'm calling them all up here I'm telling them YOU ARE MY NEPHEW! Then I'm telling them I'm in a relationship with a non-binary woman and going to then tell them that Dr. Lincoln is the father of our child and that it didn't work out between us. Then shut up and start being doctors!
  23. That's the biggest problem. Janeway and Starfleet KNOW that the Protostar was attacked and left for dead. That there is some kind of "time bomb" on it. Yet they are acting like the kids are on some suicide run and as Janeway perfectly said: "Why didn't you call me Chakotay?" Seriously, as a Vice Admiral talking to her holo version of herself, she should be able to shut things down and be like: "Forget it, let's get our answers and blow the damn ship up!"
  24. I like the fact they called out the troupe of: "you didn't go bad admiral on me." Only for him to explain why he went bad and why he started way back when. I'm glad they have pointed out most of the Admirals on Star Trek go bad because: they hit a brick wall, get to greedy, they think only THEY can solve things or are basically conservative and want to believe the Federation is perfect. However, throwing out the California Class ships like that. I know it's the late 24th century, but even ending a ship like that doesn't happen over night. Though I do agree, promote everyone and still can keep the "Lower Deck" themes. At this point the Cerritos crew has been saving Starfleet's ass the last couple of seasons.
  25. No always. There have been candidates that drop off or have no one to run against. Many city officials can run unopposed.
