I agree. If they want to give some answers that will satisfy people is what it was that was done and who the guy is that is covering everything. Then we can realize it was huge with an answer and then they can answer later why Castle did it, and why he wanted his memory gone. Then wrap it all up in a neat bow and let's move on. This has been a complete let down of a storyline.
-
At that point, and as revealed in the "safe house" Tyson wanted Castle to suffer and as he pointed out, Tyson had an ego to prove he was smarter than anyone else. That was proven by the fact he jumped the subway and Nieman slipped away from a backdoor that the cops should have known about. It also makes the DA look like an idiot because he banned Castle from the department and didn't do anything to make sure Tyson wasn't fake this the entire time. I did say that Nieman was going to be Dr. Trama from Spider-man. Nieman: "He unlocked who I really was. I've always love faces especially when I can mold them. Dr. Trama Spider-man Annual 2009: "I was a baby doctor and it killed me every time one was born. Then I saw so called 'super villains' and realized, I could make them too and I loved it." But as others have said, loved how Tyson had all this money to have an old Victorian House in the middle of nowhere in a forest. That has no signal but hey, he has a wireless signal to a building in the city somewhere. Also, Amy can see Castle from 75 feet away when there was no hint he saw his binoculars reflecting or anything. Amazing how he has all this money and secret hideaways like a good super villain.

Very happy with the conclusion but yeah, you could see that the writers, especially Marlow realized it was time to put Tyson and Nieman to rest. It was very satisfying, especially Tyson's face when he turned around and realize that Castle beat him but good. Not to mention Nieman's face when she realize what Kate was about to do to her when she grabbed her hand and had more power over her. I do agree that once again, the DA is mentioned and I'm sure he will take all the credit for everything and this was some of the best work with Gates ever. Having her officially on team Castle and made it work well. So, Bracket in prison with a mountain of evidence against him thanks to the elephant. Tyson shot through the heart and Nieman killed with her own scalpel. Yep, time to fix the entire "Castle went missing and its complicated" to go back to the forefront.

Episodes You Definitely Haven't Changed Your Mind About
readster replied to JayInChicago's topic in Gilmore Girls
I agree on all parts, Taylor should have been ran over by a delivery truck but this has to be the best use of Luke and Rory in a long time on the series. As I said and while others have either agreed or not, this was suppose to be Dean's exit from the series until Jared was free again due to his own series not getting off the ground. The Rory scene is very telling and if you look at Dean and Lindsey as they walk away after the "I dos" it shows a very happy couple. Not just caught up in the moment but moving on to the next level of their lives even at 19. Who knew how much of a pain, sit on her ass Lindsey would become and how terrible Dean would then go from there. Say what you will, Dean wanted a certain way with everything in his life and then got the reality shock that life doesn't work out that way. But instead of learning and growing from it. He became a bitter, divorced, college dropout and Lindsey did her: "I wet my pants" look from there on. Only people who had an honest and realistic reaction from everything was Luke. How he said Dean gave up before the wedding or how both Dean and Rory fell into the trap of not moving on with their lives. Yet, April comes into the picture and that Luke just disappeared. -

I could see that but really, I've known and seen plenty of people turning 21 and off to the bar they go and seem to know more about drinks than you would. I knew about 7 by the time I turned 21 and discovered 5 the first night I went to a bar at 21. -

It was just how openly hostile he was, when something went wrong for him and my best example was him winning the RV on the Price its Right he just had to tell everyone how much things going wrong for him sucked. I'm talking way to the T, Lorelai and Sookie at least told each other in private, Michel would shout from the rooftops when he was angry at something or something didn't turn out the way he wanted to. But like I said with Mrs. Kim or Gypsy, people just smiled, did what they were asked: "Pay and get out" and no one ever mentioned it again. IRL these type of people would have been out of business or out of jobs in less than a year. -

Gypsy had to be one of the worse customer service people outside of Mama Kim and Michel. I mean she would open up a car and then tell people: "There's my trip to Florida to this winter." or "My mortgage is paid off now." Her explanations about Taylor's control over Stars Hollow or how people like Babette get their own way were always backhanded comments. I loved Michel but so many times I would dread going to the Independence or later the Dragonfly if he was the man in charge. In a way it was a joke that: "French people are rude." that ASP was going for and the fact he was French Canadian but in seasons 5-7 Michel went so overboard with his comments. Yet in the Bubble that was Stars Hollow that if you were yelled at, called a moron, buy something or I'll cut you. You just smiled, did it and went about your life. -

Very true of course the main businesses in town that were constantly showing business were Luke's, Mrs. Patty's Dance Studio, the Independance Inn later the Dragonfly, of course Taylor's Soda and Ice Cream shop later on too. All were places of business that were needed and despite Luke and Taylor at times, they made their customers want to come into their stores and not yell at them if they didn't order fast enough or something. I do agree, Mrs. Kim would not thrive outside the SH Bubble at all. -

I wish I could agree but we had a few like that in the small down I grew up in. They lasted in business about 2 years due to customers not wanting to be yelled at or felt the shopkeeper was going to cut them when they walked in. Killed their business. -
Either way, I'm enjoying seeing some Tyson beat up. Been long over due wheather this is a "clone" or not. It just feels fitting to finally see a beat down. I'm hoping for Neiman to get it too.

The problem is, some characters haven't changed and if they have it's been for the worse. Cam has become so self-absorbed and everything has to be about him. Mitchell is right behind him. I mean he takes pleasure when Cam gets hurt and yet for everything that Cam has accomplished and come from since season 1: "Stay at home parent, back to teaching, perfect season/championship football season." He has to constantly goes back to how much his clown life was the best. When it should have been: "Started me on the road to get where I am now." Phil is still Phil and that is what works but Claire has become to shrewish instead of the tomboy who grew up and didn't have to be a "lady". Manny while now dates, does stuff he both loves and hates and even realizes he can be fine with himself. Still can't get over how "smart" he is when he really isn't. Don't get me started on Luke and Haley. Luke has become more of a moron and Haley has become so "me" and hateful its painful. Alex is still considered an "outcast". For Jay and Gloria, they have had their progressions and Joe has really brought more out in them but at times Jay and Gloria become too much of "know it alls" when they are out of touch with everyone else. Lily is just a product of the house she grew up in and switching of actresses. The introductions of Andy and the hillbilly neighbors hasn't been a nice add to the cast its been a: "Please make them go away."

I could live with it if it wasn't so forced or how Owen has been: "Oh Christina!" "Why did you leave me?" "Why did I cheat on you?" Oh Why......" You were both bad for each other. Get over it, you were officially divorce for almost 2 years and she has been gone for almost a year now. Time to move on Mr. Super Chief. Speaking of which, I see that Geena Davis's tumor storyline is going to blow up on everyone involved. No, I'm seeing it now, I'm calling Owen losing his position as chief and either Callie, Meredith or Amelia becoming the new chief. Oh can Jo be a more useless: "I hate everything about surgery I'm doing" character? Just get rid of her.

S01.E12: She's A Murderer
readster replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
The show had to of course have the villain of the piece have an obsessive, screeching sibling or relative going: "They were the best ever!" "Those who think otherwise can burn!" Has happened on all of Shonda's show and is a sad plot used by dramas for years and I do mean years. Never do we get a relative that goes: "They were my brother/sister/father/mother but they had problems and it got them killed. I want to see the killer get theirs though." Instead its: "MURDERER! ARREST THEM OR I'LL GET A GUN AND DO IT MYSELF!" "HEHEHEHE, REVENGE!!!!!!" -

That's the thing, Mrs. Kim did let Lane go to and do things that completely went against how she wanted Lane to be when under her own roof. My problem was then how she treated people in her store and then how much she wanted Lane to go to the school she wanted Lane to go to, ect. Then loses it when she sees the CDs and everything and even more when we find out her mother was like that to her and she hid her life from Grandma Kim. It was like a slap in the face to Lane because of Mrs. Kim's speech: "Children shouldn't make the rules." Then look at what Mrs. Kim had lied about for over 20 years to her own mother. Going as far as staging a traditional Korean Marriage to keep up the act and make her mother happy. Both of them never wanted to see their mother's side of things and even after Mrs. Kim magically accepted Lane's life style, even booking the band gigs with churches and so forth. It seem she was still happy she kicked Lane out of her house. Instead of: "I over reacted, I'm sorry and I guess it was the best for both of us in the long run." -
I hated both things. First that Lane didn't tell them and then second to spite her they went and blew it all. I mean, talk about stupidity and out of character for all involved. Especially with Sebastian Bach's character. Someone who knew that balance money and family was very important thing to do. Why he still worked with the band but ran his sandwich shop to keep a roof ever him and his family's head. It came off so petty and stupid on everyone and they didn't shave because of trying to save money? Because you know a bad of $2 disposable razors and .99 cent shaving cream would have broken the budget.

Oh I agree, my wife's father was a lot like that too when she was growing up. He did meet parents after dropping her off because he wanted to see what they were like after a while. So, its not completely unheard of and as I said too, this is Murray we are talking about here. If doesn't see a point to it, he isn't going to try.

That's the main thing, Lorelai went on record telling Emily and others that her and Rory were friends first and then Mother and Daughter and as many people pointed out even the show's creators, that was a hard act to follow and at times would backfire. Granted I think ASP and company really didn't know how to write the backfiring of the situation and many times they wouldn't even have Lorelai admit that being a parent is hard, especially single and you can't be their best friend. Yet, constantly, it showed that Lorelai didn't want to lose her "friend" not step in and telling Rory things a parent should tell their child. That no everyone is going to find you "great" if you do something really stupid, I am going to get mad and not be happy with the choice you make. Many times I know Lane wanted her mother to be more like Lorelai, Mrs. Kim was the extreme parent, even more so than Emily and even more, she left no room for conversation if Lane had a problem with something. It was: "My way or the highway and the highway is still too good for you." This also put onto Rory, the girl had no backbone. She couldn't tell Emily why Lorelai wasn't there. She couldn't tell Mitchum he was wrong about her. She couldn't tell Shira and the grandfather: "Excuse me?" "What did I ever do?" "You don't even know me!" Yet, she go running crying to grandpa or Lorelai when she didn't get her way. The only time she stood up for herself was telling Taylor and the rest of Stars Hollow she can't be the ice cream princess anymore. She has a life and they still believed they could snap their fingers and she do as she was told. -
Yeah, I was surprised about Murry not meeting Lainey's friend if Erica and Lainey have been BFs for at least a good three years. That means they would have had to still be driven at places. Of course, given how much Murry is very anti-social with those kind of meetings it shouldn't surprise me. I was so understanding Adam's situation and even Dana's. I wasn't that late of a bloomer but I started 7th grade, I look like I belong in 5th grade. Then some how between 7th and 8th I started looking the part and by the time I was a freshman, I looked the part. However, I had a few friends that in the course of a few months or summer went from looking like little girls to jumping the age gap from puberty in no time flat. In fact, I have two students that do not look like 6th graders but more like sophomores in high school but they just turned 12 but strange things happen with some boys and girls when puberty hits.

Exactly! Same with Red John on the Metalist, especially when he was about to reveal how he survived and basically went to: "Its not important, I'm right here." How with 3XK after taking 5 bullets to the chest, vest or no, at that point Becket had plenty of reasons to shoot him in the head. Even more with Nieman she is doing stuff right in the open and people are like: "Ho, hum... you have nothing unless she kills someone in front of you." Its like the entire Ed Turner reveal, basically saying: "He made up a new identity right down to finger prints." Next I'm sure they will shoot him in the head and he'll get up and be like: "You can't kill me! I only grow stronger!" There gets to the point where it goes from a good story to: "Just stop already."
-
Love the line but I hated that storyline.
-
Also in agreement. I mean you look at shows like Bones and The Metalist where they stretched the Big Bag of the series out so much that it has become cartoonish. Now, they are saying: "Tyson and Nieman will be again because they are evil." It was like Bracket, that has finally met a point to where there wasn't anything else they could do. However, instead of building up a new Big Bad they have to keep falling on that honestly needs to be wrapped up now. They introduce the new "mythology" with Castle's disappearance and stretching out the wedding and haven't even touch on it at all now. How many times can Tyson convince people with his "unlimited" resources or Nieman do everything but shooting people on camera before they finally go down?
-
The problem was it just shows Tyson and Nieman as super villains that can do anything they want. I really would love to know how Nieman has all this money and contribute to all of these foundations and yet she cleared out as fast as she could in Disciple and not even the DA blinks and eye. Could have Tyson planted a fake baby tooth? I'm more inclined to think it was the beer bottle but really, that all the 3XK stuff not having some type of electronic back up, especially a DNA profile is just too stupid for words. I also like how Becket gets hit with the drug and just conveniently there is a wheelchair to make it look like she is a sick person. Especially when the said wheelchair was not quiet at all. Also, how much do you want to bet the recent "clone" ends up dead not long after the episode starts next week? These people that Tyson and Nieman find are really too stupid for words. Lainey explaining: "Let me guess, does a string of stupid stuff." "Can't afford rent then magically a great job with money under the table comes along." Tyson's whole "Following" power he has on all these people is just to make the story plots work. Especially the flashback showing him talking to Castle when he framed him. That still rings too super villain, also Nieman is apparently Dr. Trama from Spider-Man. She was a baby surgeon who hated seeing babies being born even though it was her profession. So, she started performing strange surgeries to give people powers or to see what would happen if she tried something another crazy scientist did. However, she didn't have unlimited money like Nieman so she works with mobsters to get money for her work. Yeah, Castle's work with 3XK is right up there with Red John on the Mentalist and another super villain on Bones I will not mention. Plus, can the show have a new DA, this one apparently is an idiot and we never see him. Yet, he has all the answers. I also would have loved if not only Tyson giving that creepy wink to Castle but then saying something about Gates family that would have made her realized, they were really played like he has done to Castle, Becket, Ryan and Espo and Lainey.
-
I will say this, they did their best to put together a puzzle with no idea what it looked like when season 7 started and where it ended. They tried, they really tried but I still consider season 6 to be the worse. It was ASP's power trip and basically said FU to everyone once it was over. Why the writers just finally said: "We are going to put L/C together and when you see how it turns out. You will see why it won't work." Truth is, we saw it the second they went to France because nothing would have been legal in the US from that kind of marriage but oh well right?
-
Or the fact Owen cheated on her to begin with.
