I agree. I'm so frustrated with much of the series. I think the writers must think that ambiguity is a virtue. It had so much potential, but I think they wasted much of it. Granted, the performances were stellar. That's what saved it. To me the stories did not. I know that it's a story of fiction and an attempt to showcase real issues within our society, however, with a tv drama, I would like to see something more cohesive. I'd like for more things to get pulled together and explained or answered. Yes, I can use my imagination and try to envision how something might have happened, but with AC, the writers seem either too scared or too lazy to give us a real story. My biggest frustration was with Taylor. I tried my best to give him sympathy, but the young man was so annoying that I had trouble. He was so resistant to help. OMG. He wouldn't accept help from his mom, his friend, his counselor, attorney...even the judge was trying to coax him into turning down the plea! He was just so clueless. I ended up thinking that maybe he would be better off in prison for many years. I don't think he has the ability to live in society and utilize any resources that would be provided to him. Plus, Taylor's whole argument about not using the rapists help.....so bizarre. His brain definitely has not developed much. I can't imagine that I will invest in another season, but we'll see. I'm a sucker for great acting and this show pours it on with this. Too bad the actors involved can't spurn some better writing.

There are several interpretations here about what really is going on with the suspension of Olivia, as well as her bizarre babysitter choices and they would help make sense of it. I gasped when she offered for the nun to go to her apt. Are you kidding me? That's a very dangerous location. lol The writing around her character is so annoying at times. All I know is that when she made the announcement at the end about leaving.....I cheered! Yay! Great news, IMO. I think it's a great idea. Whatever the real reason she's gone, perhaps she can use the time to take some parenting classes, personal safety and self defense courses.

I wonder how Stan will feel too. I hope that at the time Philip and Elizabeth will have some leverage on him though. I've often wondered why they haven't worked to get more on Stan, so that if he did discover who they are, they would have some bargaining tools to use. I suppose they could threaten to claim that Stan knew that Martha was planting bugs and that she could claim that it was STAN who was the mole in that office.

Can someone remind me what this episode revealed about Eric? I watched it, but had not seen Episode 7 at the time. Did Eric leave town with his mom or was that his younger brother? Did the stranger in the mini van survive? Is Eric okay?

Mary can be as mean as she wants and it will be overlooked. It frustrates me, but I really wonder if she's more than a narcissist. Is she a sociopath? Really. Some people are too toxic to share your life with. Edit can't see that. I do think that Tom should share in the blame though. He KNEW that confirming the truth about Marigold would launch Mary on a mission to harm Edith. He should have WARNED Edith that Mary had figured it out the day before. THEN he has the nerve to encourage Bertie to proceed with the announcement at the breakfast table KNOWING that Mary was super steamed. He couldn't have set it up to blow any more if he were trying to sabotage Edith. Not good, IMO.

S02.E10: What Happened To You, Annalise?
SunnyBeBe replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
I agree Stuckin60s. I've never found the Wes character amusing at all. He doesn't seem very smart or interesting to me. So much could be done with that character, but he just doesn't bring it for me. I wish they could figure a way to send him away. -
S02.E10: What Happened To You, Annalise?
SunnyBeBe replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
Did I imagine this? After Annalise saw her incision bleeding and stuffed tissue into her clothes to stop the blood from bleeding through, I thought that later they showed a scene where there was NO blood. Due to this, I then thought she was deluded into thinking she was bleeding. Anyone else recall that? I'm trying to avoid watching it again to confirm. lol -
The BS Alert: Discuss "Liberties" The Show Takes
SunnyBeBe replied to Kromm's topic in American Crime Story
I.m really enjoying this series. I think the characters are great and mostly, it's well done, however, I feel that the actor who portrays O.J. is so dissimilar to him in appearance, that I find it distracting. Normally, that kind of thing doesn't bother me in biographical productions, but it does here. When he appears on screen the spell is broken. I really wish some other actor could have been cast, -
Since I no longer care what Red and LIzzie's relationship really is, this would be the perfect time for her to leave. She could leave with Tom, go in hiding with baby, get a new identity, whatever.....just go away. A new sidekick for Red would be fabulous. Just imagine how exciting that could be!

I sometimes think that Olivia needs to take a safety class. Sometimes, she's not very self aware.

I kind of hope it's the lowest rated episode ever for this show. (Next week's episode.) I don't think any regular viewer has the stomach for it anymore.

I'm starting this thread, since I had a fair amount of speculation that might not fit well in the Episode thread. Why was the victim student looking so fine before he saw the photos of himself on line? Does this mean that he wasn't assaulted? My person of interest right now is the basketball coach. Did anyone else think that he seems to be hiding something?
-
What's wrong with that asst. D.a.? It wasn't premeditated murder. The older victim went to the defendant's house to get a confession, not to kill him. If he meant to kill him, he wouldn't have taped it and carried it to the police. He thought he scared him, but not killed him. I liked this guy on House. I can't watch next week. Please. Even I wouldn't enter into a door under those circumstances.

Season Two Episode Talk
SunnyBeBe replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Holiday Baking Championship [V]
Well Alberto was robbed, IMO. His tree cake was awesome and clearly should have taken the win, IMO. Maeve's was as glorified wedding cake with a small little sleigh on top. And weren't those trees actual rosemary? You can't eat raw rosemary that easily and who would with a cake? That should have eliminated her. I didn't find her cake festive at all. Just about anyone could make a cake like that. Alberto is far more talented than any of the other contestants IMO, not just with that leg of the contest, but throughout. I take it the producers picked the winner for their own reasons, which apparently was not based on the contest. I am embarrassed for the judges. I do not believe they actually picked her to win. I call foul. Oh well.....at least I won't waste my time on this show next season. -
I loved most all of the song choices, though the delivery was not so hot. But, still, Emily did much better than normal last night. I actually enjoyed her last number. She's still so limited in her vocals though. I wouldn't mind it if she won the thing in a huge upset, IF we could see Adam freak out. I just want to see him pitch a fit and storm off the stage. lol That would be worth it. I do think Jordan deserves it. I mean, it's basically a $100,000.00 money contest. I think he should get it. I have no expectations of anything coming from any of these contestants. I do hope Jordan can find some work with the win, if he gets it. I like Jeffery, but he's just not that remarkable to me. I like Gwen though. Barrett is a total mystery. I guess Blake's fans would do whatever he says, even if they have to vote for a guy with such poor vocals. I just don't get it. To me, Barrett seems very fake. The entire time, I feel like he's just putting on. I don't like his personality at all.

Alaska: The Last Frontier - General Discussion

Man, those cases are pretty amazing. I'm rather shocked. I can't access that link to inquire. Were there any on Atz's brother or nephew? -

I must be missing something. Why did they have to move that huge bridge type structure to use as a ramp at Atz Lee's house? Building a ramp to suit the size would have been much easier and made more sense. Plus, if it were the right length, the van could pull right up to it. Too much overkill. I also didn't buy the two problems on the boat at once. lol I really like the families and this show, but some things just make me laugh. -
Does anyone know what city the Maternity Midcentury Modern was located? I just knew it was in NC, due to the scenery and accents. Anyone know? And, the when dad was standing outside of the hospital after child's birth, it looked like Rex Med. (in Raleigh, NC) Here's an article about why they chose to film here in the Triangle. http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/morning_call/2015/05/exclusive-inside-the-filming-of-love-it-or-list-it.html

Oh, another thing that I find cruel is depriving Cadence from bonding with her mother at such a critical age. She needs both parents. I don't find it amusing.

Scarlett and Gunnar had their chance. Recall when Gunnar proposed? We were left in suspense, but the next season, it was revealed that Scarlet had said no and walked away. Okay. I'm done. Move on Gunnar. Gunnar is too fickle. He can't sick with anyone and Scarlett is addicted to misery. I'm so over them.

Something struck me as odd about Jean. Forgiving the killer of a family member has its place. I can imagine that it might be therapeutic for some people, but, it's the manner that she has approached this and the degree of fascination she has with the man that is so bizarre to me. It's almost like she is in love with the guy. She seems giddy when talking about visiting him and the look on her face when looking at him......too much infatuation, IMO. Very sad. I do wonder if there is something about her that causes this. Recall how when the murders first occurred and the police and FBI questioned her about her contacts or enemies abroad? Recall that she would not cooperate. She seemed to have some allegiance to these foreign contacts EVEN when she didn't know if they were involved or not. WHY would you automatically side with potential killers over your dead sister? For all she knew, they were involved. But, she didn't want to rule them out. She just wanted to shield them and look elsewhere. To me that is very odd. So, the fact that this defendant has charmed her to death is not a huge surprise. It's pitiful, but not shocking. Something in her core being seems amiss. There are a lot women who get caught up with life time sentenced defendants and they live their life driving for visits, showing up for hearings, and paying for legal fees. They put money into their accounts so they can have the nice things in prison. I suspect she does all that for this man. She says she doesn't know if he should ever leave prison, HOWEVER, active support and belief in him could impact his sentencing. She seems awfully invested in this man in my eyes.

I've had a hard time with the writing of this show for a while now. The potential is there, but they just can't seem to resist doing stupid stuff with the characters. They just can't seem to really consider how the character's actions will impact their role down the road. They can't resist manipulating a character to the point that we despise them. Rayna is the only one who is spared, and maybe Daphane. I shouldn't have to dread my favorite show! Why must they make the relationship with Scarlet and the Dr. be so problematic? We all know, it's so she can pine for Gunnar. They forget that she and Gunnar are NOT good together in a romance. I'm sick to death of Gunnar and Scarlet. The writers overplayed their angst so much that I would welcome them going on tour and never returning. They ruined Juliet and it's pleasure to see her gone. She WAS my favorite character. Thanks writers. So, now they are trying to redeem Maddie.....too late for my taste. I don't trust the girl at all. Teddy is gone. He was my second favorite character. Thanks. Avery is trying hard to be a good dad and artist, but they won't let him succeed. We get it. Too much already. I now find myself drifting over to Code Black on Wednesday night. The main reason I'm still watching is that I like Deacon's looks, however, they have made him so annoying, that he's getting less attractive each week. I sure do wish the writers could get out of the way and let this show be enjoyable. They have it all right there.

So, is that what the Sheriff's daughter found hanging in the sheriff's office? Were they drawings of UFO investigations. Does that tie in with the UFO the Gerhardt son saw just before he got hit by the car?

The reason I think they all lived in the house with handprints was that they planned the visit and the kids all had their favorite memories. That's how I took it. Plus, they have talked about how they have these great memories from when they were kids. Maybe someone who has read the book can chime in.
-
When the older kids were little Kody was in the same house with them, right? Recall when they visited the house where they had their hand prints in cement. They all lived there together. Then when they moved to Utah. They lived in the same house all together, so I think that Kody not being around as a father started when they moved to Vegas and all got separate rental homes.
