I think they made a big mistake with writing in the storyline of Juliette having a baby. It may have sounded like a good idea, but the reality of the situation once the baby arrives is another thing. The writers had difficulty with Juliette's character during pregnancy and now the postpartum depression. It really limits her character, IMO. Then what do they do with her after she's better? They have a free spirited, tour loving, lead who's tied to parenting and a husband. I just don't think they really thought it through. Being a parent really limits what they can do with her character. I'm so over the Gunnar/Scarlet romance. Gunnar proposed to her and she wanted out of the relationship. It's done. Move on. They seem to have amnesia. They act like 11 year-olds. I don't find anything about them amusing anymore, except their singing, but I still prefer to hear Will and Layla sing over them. Beverly will no doubt bring conflict back to town, but I think Rayna can handle her. Not before we get a chance to see how stupid Deacon can be when it comes to his sister. I am curious as how they save Will. I know Luke will not be happy with his sidekick being exposed. I really don't think the writers can keep Will active on the show as a performer, if he is outed, but they may give it a stab. Will is a very selfish guy, but I do enjoy his singing and would hate to lose his character. The sudden appearance of his dad seemed odd to me. What significance will that have? Just how many lives does Teddy have? lol He gets himself into a pickle and then survives again. I'm one of the few Teddy fans, but I wish he would get a little smarter.

I know this sounds really bizarre, but.......Dr. Turner reminds me so much of Dr. Oz! lol

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

I was glad to see Marjorie actually playing notes on the piano. The Erin Bates' style is to play chords very loudly. To me, it seems that the loud/chord style is supposed to somehow translate into the listener being impressed and misled to believe the player is doing something very complicated on the piano. I'm not sure if Erin knows that. I recall the people at the college she visited once with the Duggar girls looked appalled when they heard her audition. I think they were speechless. I wonder if they were truthful with her. Marsiah seem to be very sweet, but so helpless in the whole matter. -
To me, the pain on Phyllis' face showed that she was hurt. When you leave a room and people are laughing loudly and taking about you, indicates rudeness and cruelty to me. It seemed out of character for them though.

The whole history with Kiley, Gunnar and his brother was enough. Now they have to heap MORE grief with the child being conceived by rape! Please! It's too much! Totally unnecessary too. What's next did Gunnar's brother give her HIV too? When will the stories stop? It's been beaten to death. Leave it alone. I can't stand to see Gunnar anymore. And the same goes for Scarlet. Scarlet, please let Gunnar have his privacy. Stop snooping and let him have some peace. What's wrong with these people? lol
-
I just don't understand why the ladies were laughing behind Phyllis' back. It was plain rude and mean. She was trying to fit in and be sociable and they treated her horribly. It took me by surprise.

I really liked Kimberly's personality and style, but her vocals just weren't there for me. Of course, the soul isn't there in India, though, I like her vocals. She is likely to go next. And Koryn after her. I guess I'm too picky as I don't care for many of the songs they perform. It just gets annoying after a while. I have to keep reminding myself to not get too invested in Sawyer winning. I mean, what does it mean anyway? Is it going to help him do what he wants to do in life? I doubt it. I know there have been some meager success stories with previous winners, but they just don't have much of a record to boast about. Is there any money for the winner or is it just the record deal? It seems like that record deal really doesn't have any value.

Does anyone watch this show on the A&E website? I've tried ad it seems to buffer quite a bit. I get so frustrated that I give up. I don't have that problem with most other shows I watch online.

I initially thought that wild animals would be a good way to take Pastor out, but since he became a huge liability in March, then what do they do with him until the summer trip? It messes up that plan, IMO. Now, I'm not sure what they'll do. It's true that him meeting with an untimely death might arouse suspicion, but what real choice do they have? The risk of him having the information that Paige provided is too great to allow him to survive even 24 hours, IMO. His wife was home too, right? It seems like Paige asked to speak with him, so I take it that Wife answered the phone. So, wife may have been told immediately upon Pastor hanging up. I see no way the two of them survive throughout the night, IF the Centre had their phone bugged and overheard what Paige said. Perhaps a gas leak or explosion of their house would not arouse suspicion. lol While the Pastor could interpret the comments about her parents being Russian in an innocent sort of way, that's just too speculative to allow to dangle around until the Kenya trip, IMO. If the Centre did not overhear what Paige said, then there is some leeway. I guess we'll have to trust that the writers come up with some explanation that Pastor Tim keeps the information to himself. But, knowing how he has behaved thus far, I don't buy that he would sit on it. I would imagine he would use it somehow to his benefit.

I don't understand why they had Cory singing a song about drinking alcohol when he's underage to drink. So odd. I didn't care for the song and thought it was rather painful. I do think Cory did the best he could throughout the season. IMO, he's just not a vocalist. Sad to see Hannah leave. At least she was amusing to watch. I looked forward to seeing what she was going to do with a song. India is less popular now than before she got the benefit of coaching. It's like she's gone backwards. Does it take an expert to figure out that the oversinging and runs are not translating into votes for her? With the right coaching, I think she could turn it around. Sawyer is still my favorite, though, I think he is not using all of his potential. I'm not sure why. I like Joshua too, but I think we've seen him at this best. Love Meghan, but boy was I shocked she was not in the bottom 3 last night. She is truly fortunate, but if her next song isn't really special, I may not continue to give her my votes.
-
Sawyer doesn't creep me out. I think he's adorable. And I like his style too. I normally detest hats like his, though. I've made an exception since I like him. I was all in the air about the guy from last season who couldn't part with his hat though. IMO, it reeks, "I'm bald and stuck in the 80's", but with Sawyer, I guess that's not the case.
-
Are two going home tonight? I hope it's Cory and Coryn. I bet that doesn't happen though. It'll likely be Hannah and that's a real shame. i actually look forward to seeing what she's going to do on stage.

No one really hits it out of the ballpark for me. I do like Sawyer, but he really could have done much more with that song. I wonder why his coaches didn't suggest it. Still, he seems to have plenty of fans. I'm okay with his style, but wish he would shake it up a little. I love Meghan, but that old song was not the way to go, IMO. It was an okay song when it came out a very long ago, but it didn't need reviving, IMO. I'm worried for her. WHY did she do that? Koryn just doesn't do it for me. I don't care for her vocals and I thought her arrangement of that song took the punch out. Kimberly has not been a favorite of mine, but I did like Creep last night. She certainly does have the drive in her. Not a fan of her vocals, but I think the girl works hard. I hope she stays around. I think Christina is really rooting for her. While India was my favorite at first, she's gone down hill. That song didn't need all those runs. It was so overdone, IMO. Didn't care for it. I loved Joshua last night. I'm surprised he's doing so well. I suspect it's Adam fans who are keeping him around now. He's so low key. I do enjoy Hannah. I would prefer she stay over a few others, but think she may be in danger. And I"m still not sure why Cory is on the show I admit I missed his performance on purpose, but his vocals were the same when I heard it on the group song.

I couldn't tell what she found at the scene, besides the blood on the tree, but perhaps it was something only a female would have dropped, like lipstick or hair pin. But, why would you have those things with you at a murder scene? Hmmmm......I don't know. Hopefully, it'll make sense.

So, when does the next season air?

I'm not sure how you can be more of a freak than to horn in on a father and child outing when you are clearly not welcomed by the child and then CONTINUE to horn in when you are told you aren't wanted. To suffer from depression and have had her only child recently murdered, she sure seemed chipper to visit the carnival. Reminds me of the defendant IRL that throw her murdered child a birthday party on his freshly dug grave. What a freak. And I guess that answers my question as to why Ben slept with her. She's a freak. I'm determined to hang in there for the finale, but OMG, it's tough for me to take that lady detective seriously. It's like she's in a cartoon or something. I find her attempts to portray a tough detective so hysterical. At least it's amusing. lol

Well, when the baby had a broken shoulder, the nurse insisted the mother give him meds for pain. Later, when the baby had additional fractures in his leg and then back, I would think would cause more pain and he would certainly need pain meds at that point. But, all we see is a religious leader hanging around to pray for the child. I found that poor writing for not addressing it. It seems to be it might have been better to have left the part out about them being Christian Scientists if they weren't going to do anything with it. I mean, all that pompous indignation by the dad, yet they have no issue letting the child lay in pain????? There isn't that much difference, IMO, in their culpability if they refuse to treat the child's pain issue from multiple broken bones. Not to debate this, but children are removed from parents who refuse to provide medical care in this country today. I don't know about England. The parent has a right to their faith, but it can't be used as a shield to neglect a child and not provide medical treatment. You can abstain from vaccines, but not things like cancer treatment or life saving blood transfusions.
-
I'm just confused why they sent the infant back with the parents. While they didn't cause his injuries, if they are not going to provide him medication, then he's still being neglected, right? How could they leave a child with a medical condition in a home where the parents refuse to treat him?

I'm not sure what you mean by them retreating. Elizabeth's mom did get in the car to leave, but Page was in the bathroom praying and Elizabeth joined her in that room sitting on the floor near her. I thought they were being close in that moment, even though Elizabeth doesn't pray herself.
-
I thought that when Elizabeth went into the bathroom with Paige and sat on the floor, she was saying that while she couldn't pray, since she doesn't believe i God, she could be close to her daughter in spirit and that's why she sat down close by. It was a show of respect and support for Paige, IMO. I didn't understand Gabriel's speech to Philip. Why did he tell him to grow up? I thought that speech was not well written. And if the Centre was all that unhappy with Elizabeth ad Paige going to Germany, all they had to do was nothing. No one forced them to bring mom to the hotel. If it wasn't sanctioned, then they just ignore the request. Elizabeth can sight see and return when she pleases.

Right. Clarke can say that he was just taking orders on what he asked her to do and that when he reported what happened, THEY took over and he was totally not on board with anyone getting hurt. She may doubt it, but it also may bring her some relief that she is no longer under suspicion.. Plus, she is not positive that the IT guy wasn't also working on something similar to her.
-
Well, Paige can't be trusted either. She has gone behind her parents' back's and done something that she promised she would not do. I'm just not that concerned with Paige's sensibilities at this point. Sometimes the survival of the family depends on young people to do very heroic acts. Throughout history, teens have had to make enormous sacrifices, take up a weapon, walk across an entire country, not eat for weeks, witness their loved ones' death, etc. to protect their family. IMO, Page didn't really try to protect hers.

Little Women: LA - General Discussion
SunnyBeBe replied to David T. Cole's topic in Little Women: LA
I don't know much about either one of these people, but caught a little last night. Why was the mother, who just left the hospital, pulling on and moving a crib, while the dad stood there holding the baby? I'm confused. They also had some legit questions. Like how are they ever going to go anywhere alone with the baby since they are not able to handle a stroller by themselves? -
If Pastor Tim is killed, then I doubt Paige will be told that her parent's boss did it. More than likely it would be a car accident, heart attack, accidental electrocution, animal attack, etc. She can suspect, but she can't know that he was taken out because of what she told him. Besides, if she's bound to be a motor mouth, she may be better off in a facility somewhere she can be watched. She can't be trusted and I'm not sure that could be changed. Instead of grooming her, I think Philip and Elizabeth are now in damage control and survival mode. I would like to believe that Pastor Tim is a plant by the Centre, but I think I've read on these boards that it's been confirmed by the writers that he is indeed just a pastor.

I took it that when Martha saw that Clarke revealed more to her and trusted her, she got what she wanted from him. She was getting ready to go to her parents, because she said she couldn't live as they were living. Plus, she just knew that she would be caught. Well, both of those problems were addressed. Clarke came clean with her about some pretty serious stuff, (his unveiling) and someone else confessed to the pen plant. All Clarke has to do is pretend that he did not kill the guy and how would Martha know the difference. She knows that Clarke has never hurt her and has actually protected her, so I can see her believing in him and moving on as a couple. At least I have full faith that we will see Martha at the start of the next season. Yay!
