I had a dream about Eric last week. It was crazy. Lol. I need to pick up some hobbies.

Eric has a new show, Wildcard Kitchen that is pretty fun. He has a very calm personality, but he needs someone to direct him during competitions. I felt that way in top chef when I was rooting for him. I think that was the season KBC won. I think Maneet knows how to play the game better. She leans into the randomizer more than most because she has judged a lot and knows what they are looking for.

I think Eric biffed it. He and Maneet tied in everything except for randomizer. A salad is not decadent! I don't know what he was thinking. He talked about decadent and high end, but dude, a salad is not decadent. I was rooting hard for him.

Our local public school is k-8 so that wasn't a surprise. My kid is at a charter school now, but there isnt a library, just books in the classroom that you can read, but not borrow. She was previously in a private school that had a library and a librarian and she was allowed to bring home books. I miss it.

I love Carla, so I don't mind her, Zakarian is just so prissy. He's always eating everything with chopsticks and he just seems so snooty. I can't stand him on Chopped. If he's on an episode with Martha Stewart, I have to turn it off.

I am just not a fan of zakarian.

I see tournament of champions five in my HBO Max, but whenever I click on it, it only shows the four seasons. This is so annoying.

I would be offended by the 5 too. I think it reinforces the judging should really be done blind.

I think the blind tasting is tongue in cheek. The judge knows who has prepared which dish, I mean they are standing right there. If you have chef A that has two dishes that are very Latin focused, and a spin on traditional dishes and then chef B that's not and one chef is Latin American, then come on. I don't care how often Bobby says blind tasting, the chef and titans are right there. I like the show, but they need to rethink this.

I did like the show. Preferred it a lot over Harlem. Love the friendships on the show. I thought it was odd that Tasha Smith's character was missing from the middle two episodes. It's like she had that conversation with her therapist about sleeping with women and then nothing until she's flirting with the doctor.

They really need to expand where they go. LA is boring. If the Bald Guys will just rely on the coconut wireless and Khana will just go to the coffee shop, what's the point? Where is the actual race?

Wow, some interesting ideas here. Old man dying during sex and there must be a nefarious plot afoot by the wife... 😒🙃. Sometimes a thing is at it is. The show showed literally nothing to indicate that there was anything nefarious. Take the wheel!

Something I completely missed (I FF a lot of his scenes with the doc) is when he told the doc his wife had done more for his treatment than he had. It makes the doctors ominous mention of making a poultice for Charlotte more sinister and presents more of a reason why that would set George off to the point where he ran out to the garden. I don't know how I completely missed that. In any case, I liked seeing how he was so clearly smitten with her. A lot of the language he uses to describe her she uses later on when searching for the diamond of the season.

I think it was mentioned in a Bridgerton season that she continues to dress how they did when they met so George would be able to recognize her. Just another layer of sadness. As someone said earlier, the chemistry was off the charts. I know episode 4 was not liked for the repetitiveness, but I like how we got to see George's first reaction upon seeing her trying to climb the wall. From the look he gave her and that smile, homeboy was clearly smitten. We also get the scene with him looking at her playing chess by herself which mirrored an earlier episode with her watching him coming in from working on the fields. There is a lot of showing and not telling in the writing which I appreciate. Was it perfect? No, but I like that it presented shades of gray. Even the relationship between Agatha and Lord Ledger as much as I don't condone adultery, I get it. Flawed characters all around where the flaws continue to exist.

I thought this was streets ahead of any of the Bridgerton shows, especially given all of the extra, non-book side-stories. I don't watch TV for history, but it was nice to have that blended in with the fiction. Although this pairing was the youngest we've had so far, it was definitely the most human and that's why it's better. At 17, Charlotte made a choice to stay and to love knowing that it wasn't going to be a cakewalk. George chose to let her in and not go it alone. We all know it won't end well, they know it won't end well, but to them the choice was worth it. Lot's of grumbling about Lady Danbury and her relations with her husband. There is a lot of modern judgement on historically accurate representation. History is not butterfly and rainbows. We never see Agatha saying no to marital relations. She of course described it as a chore. Would she have wanted to say no? Of course, but that was not her role. She wouldn't have thought she could say no since she was groomed for him since the age of three. After his death, she realized she could say no, she had agency over her body and she used it. I am sure there are millions who see it as a chore, but have sex because it's a their duty. People watch Bridgerton for escapism and angst, but as a grown ass woman I much preferred this grown-ass story-line 😂. The acting is also better. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I fast forwarded through all the Lady Whisteldown commentary. At this point, Pen is a straight up bitch. I don't care about Lady W.

I've seen this several times about the guys being ok with the hack until it was Keely and this is 150% not what happened. The entire discussion that preceded them finding out it was Keely wouldnt make sense then. Finding out it was Keely spurred them to immediately delete any pictures they had, but Jamie and Sam already never kept any and the back and forth conversation was about an expectation of privacy regardless of Keely.

Last season, Nyesha was also the ninja. I think she is half Japanese. I vaguely remember her having that moniker on Top Chef though..

Adam was a total dick. I was sad when Eric lost. Michelle is a tough judge.

I was first introduced to Lance on an episode of Law and Order where he played someone from I think it was The Congo who had killed someone regarding blood diamonds. Then of course there was The Wire. We havent been in a movie theater since 2019 but was planning on seeing John Wick on the 24th. Sad all around. Rest in Power.
