  1. The benefit of stealth mode? No one can see your stalker tendencies? Lol. I dunno. SOmetimes I would check someone's profile out several times without messaging them to see if I am really interested, then I would check it out again after i've messaged them to see if they've been online recently (to have read my message). If someone has viewed your profile an abnormal number of times, that may be a red flag? A guy I know who was on there, said he would rule those women out.
  2. I don't know about others, but for me, it's an immediate turnoff if the first thing someone comments on is my attractiveness, especially in comparison to others. It's hard in the swipe apps since all you really get is you a picture, but a simple Hi, you look like someone I would like to have a conversation with or something of that ilk would go over better (with me). Mind you, I had a detailed profile and my husband also had a detailed profile and our exchanges were sorta long too :).
  3. I was wondering if that was just an Arkansas accent. I think that's where she was from. I couldn't understand half of what she's saying.
  4. Did you know she also went to Harvard? Lord, I was not a fan based on her intro alone!
  5. That dude who was eliminated first last night in the Grilling Competition was so orange. I am glad the other contestants pointed it out. Between his tan and his teeth, it was hard to look at him and to take him seriously. Didn't care too much for Ms. California of the boobs. Yikes.
  6. I am shocked and chagrined, mortified and stupefied! In other shocking news, water is wet.
  7. How about Carla Hall? She did top Chef and manage to parlay that into a hosting gig on the Chew!
  8. My ticket has been bought! Went to an open house today. Definitely not a house for lottery winners. Does anyone take David seriously? I just can't take his description of houses as delicious.
  9. I gave a big side eye to the number of kids and the small house. If you can't afford to not have the kids crammed into one room, don't have them. I guess the wife doesn't work since she has that many kids to take care off, but he can't be making that much if they lived there. I kept saying 'lower your budget, lower your budget'! Of course, they upped it. They didn't seem like they'd be able to afford the taxes/upkeep, but what do I know? Maybe they had lots of savings and had a huge down payment. Maybe in MA there's no taxing of lottery winnings? We are not rich, but if I won 1 million, I'd just buy a nice used car (not a luxury vehicle), buy one of the lovely victorians in cash with some reno funds and do some saving and investing with the rest.
  10. They are real buyers, but they have already closed on a house by the time they are on the show! The producers also has them play up certain things and use certain buzz words, but some of the folks just seem to be naturally awful.
  11. Yeah, I've visited some of the places he's been to because I saw them on DDD (awesome taco place in Queens and other NYC places). I don't like him, but I like the show. I also don't mind GGG, since I loved watching Supermarket Sweep as a kid (I lead a very exciting life). Guy seems like a douche though. Because of the hilarious review in the NYT, a group of friends and I went to his restaurant in Time Square to see if it was bad as described; it wasn't that bad. I think Guy Fieri >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rusty whatever his last name is, and I don't even like Guy!
  12. Maybe it was my screen, but did the NJ wife just seemed a bit overly orange? I couldn't stop staring at her coloring. It was like a spray tan gone wrong. THe realtor also had some spray tan, but not as bad (or as orange).
  13. Not much to add, just chiming in that I had a newborn on my 1st anniversary as well. We got my mom to watch her and went to a broadway matinee and a quick lunch. We are semi-active on social media, but we don't usually post pics together or what's not. We're not even married on Facebook! I prefer it that way.
  14. While I don't like Matthew, he is more tolerable when presenting than Rusty. I just can't take all the shouting. Stop yelling at me, Rusty!
  15. Ugh, I guess I didn't win last nights mega million then. Grrrrr. When i I hear they've only won a million, I seriously want to turn it off. Didn't the couple who bought a house on Chesapeake Bay only spend 200+? My first apartment was more than that. It's not really escapist television, is it?
  16. I was trying not to be petty by commenting on Daniels dress and Cody's sweater! Thanks for bringing it up.
  17. How?? I am looking, but can't find it. This first girl is a trainwreck.
  18. Do I need wine to watch the show? No. Does it help? Definitely. I mean, I don't sit down and drink because I'm watching the show, it's usually because of a long day at work/cranky toddler/it's too damn hot, but it helps to digest some of the foolishness. And, I like wine. Meh.
  19. Is there a forum? I'll miss the community from here :).
  20. Is there a forum for date night? I liked what I saw last week, but couldn't find a forum. Seems more real than this one.
  21. What has it been? 9 months? Cody, why are you hanging on? Have some dignity. No amount a money would make me stay with someone who in 9 months couldn't bear the thought of being intimate with me. Jesus Christ on a cracker, Cody. Have some dignity!!!!!!
  22. Oh my god, those kids last night were obnoxious. Ugh. Why did I stay up past my bedtime for this? It seemed from the start that the oldest was the forgotten child since the mom was like, we had this house and no kids, I was like, er, you had a step kid, you know the one right there giving you the stink eye. Why were all the houses furnished?
