You can go to the official Jeopardy website and find the time & station in your area where the show is broadcast. Back when I used to travel before the pandemic, that’s where I’d go to find the local stations in an unfamiliar city. It’s changed days, times and channels a few time in my city and if it’s a channel I don’t watch much, I wouldn’t know which affiliate had bought it for that season. Speaking of Kelly, she was a tad over the top. She reminded me of someone in my contestant pool who was very similar but she was a college professor. She was so intent on being interesting that her head was not in the game & she had the same result as Kelly—didn’t make it to FJ. And she was obviously knowledgeable.

Fess Parker played both Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett, but Crockett was killed at the Alamo in 1836 and was from Tennessee. However, I am from Tennessee so it’s something you know from the time you’re a kid, especially if you were a boomer kid when both shows were on tv. Here in my town we get back to back episodes so yesterday we got the new season followed by the first show of last season. Yesterday both show had a question about Ataturk and today both shows had a question about Catch 22. Weird. When I was on the show in 1998 I missed my final Jeopardy and it took about 20 years before I noticed it asked again, phrased slightly differently, in Double Jeopardy.

I have a question. Did it show them hooking up or was it just implied? Before the reveal at the end, when they were kissing, I was like when did this happen? I knew they were flirting but I missed them getting together. I’m thinking here in Alabama maybe it was edited.

My partner & I liked it too mainly because we go to Amsterdam yearly (except this year) and it’s fun to say “we’ve been there.” But the story was interesting and it held our interest. Van der Valk’s love interest was played by Stephanie Leonidas, who was recently Violetta on Endeavour.

What I’m not quite understanding is why did Ludo & Violetta pick Morse to toy with? Did they know who he was in the beginning when Vi picked him up at the opera? Did they start the insurance scam before meeting him or after? Did they kill the tv chef in the Raja episode? Sorry, I do understand the basic crimes and how they were solved but I missed some details apparently.

I was wondering if maybe the mother in law is bi polar and the family doesn’t really understand.

What makes people the way they are? Why is it that people enjoy, maybe even thrive on negative attention? The POTUS has no idea what he’s doing and for sexton to try to defend his reaction to the health issue facing our country really burns my biscuits. I couldn’t blame Bill for going off on that guy. I AM SO FRUSTRATED BY THIS WHOLE SITUATION.

I took the test in 1997 at a contestant search in Atlanta. It was a 50 question test with Alex reading the “answers” on video and then you had to write the answers. There were several sessions of try outs over a 2-3 days period but there were probably 100 people in my session and only 10 of us passed the test. Then we did a mock interview and game. They took our pictures and said we’d be contacted at a later date with a month’s notice to be on the show. I took the test in May and got a call for the show in October. And everyone who passed the test in my session was there for tapings with the exception of a woman who was much older than the rest of us (and I was in my mid 40’s.)

I’m really loving the show since it came back. I have no recollection of last season but I really like the bittersweet tone of this season.

I was a contestant in 1997 and I didn’t watch the show for at least 10 years after that.

Okay I guess I’m not through with Maher after all. Last night’s show was okay. But I noticed the constant interruptions as well. Why have Dave Barry on and then not take advantage of it. He retired his column a long time ago, married a much younger woman and had a second family. I’m not accusing him of anything but there could be reasons he looks young for 71.

Yes, I think I might finally be done with Maher. Fox does not have the average person’s best interest in their business model. Having a debate of Democratic Party candidates will not sway any of their viewers. Plus, the resulting video of this debate would be twisted to fit their agenda anytime they choose to retrieve it. I did enjoy the interview with McCabe though.

I decided to pick a team on the Jeopardy website to win whatever the prize was, like a fantasy football team. You could pick one captain and two of the other players and they received points somehow (I didn’t really read it so that’s why I don’t know specifics.) The longer they participated, the more points accumulated. I picked Buzzy, Alex and Roger because they were dominating players that seemed low key. All of them were eliminated yesterday! I love Ken but for some reason I didn’t have the confidence that he would last in the tournament. It’s always Ken & Brad. I never learn.

I love everything about this post. Will you be my best friend? 😆

I’ve been seeing a lot of backlash against the show since AC was on a couple of weeks ago. Especially from the far left group of people. Not that I think Alter is far left but there’s a lot of encouragement from them to cancel appearances on the show. The thing is that Bill is pretty much the person he’s always been and he’s always had controversial people on his show (including dip💩 last night.) As long as he keeps them off the panel, I can compensate by avoiding those segments. 🤷♀️

I actually thought it was well done and didn’t know Seth had it in him to do something like that. Was the new security officer Patrick Warburton?

The 15th Anniversary Special
HelenBaby replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Real Time With Bill Maher
He’s had Conway on back when she was still Fitzgerald. And they did show a brief shot of George Carlin but he wasn’t saying anything.
