  1. Scott made a point of saying Serena's money was safe.
  2. LOL at the gray-haired masked robber at Kelly's. The point of all that was...what, exactly? To show that Jordan does have competent moments? Nik, how about you stop asking the women you date to move in with you two minutes after you've met? Maybe then you won't have to keep explaining to Spencer why they're gone. Ugh, Nik is the worst. So they made Scott a victim of Rebecca Budig's father. That makes total sense. /sarcasm I loved Tracy wanting Ned and Dillon to each kill their father. That was very Tracy Q.
  3. She's worn that dress before. It's hideous. As a modern-art dealer, Ava should be in more avant-garde fashion. Yeah, as amaranta mentioned, it's old-school soap, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Like I wrote earlier, they should have tied it to Liz losing that money on the investment Steven Lars suggested. That would give her and Rebecca Budig a legitimate beef, instead of this dumb snark thing they currently have. (I agree the actors are doing what they can with it, but it's SO BORING.)
  4. He missed the action of being a thug for hire. Teaching is so boring, man! Ugh, yet more glorification of violence. For which I am profoundly grateful, as I didn't want to see Molly lose her virginity. Thank Jasus for child-porn laws. Of course he does. What sort of person would he be if he didn't arrive in PC with a big sekrit?
  5. And it did put Valencia into the bosom (heh) of Josh's family, which was what Rebecca said she'd try to do. I hated that. It was vaguely misogynistic, despite Greg dinging himself for being a study drinker. I have to say, though, Santino Fontana is doing a fantastic job. He really nails Greg's self-loathing. Heh, same here. I expected the bodice to explode, given all the talk about back fat and big boobs. I love how this show doesn't always take the expected route.
  6. Someone tweet her that she has to PROMISE to shoot the moment Brydog loses.
  7. Sonya Eddy (Pip) is on tonight's episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
  8. Shaun had some promise before he became JasonLite. Sonny ruins everything, of course.
  9. If she legally changed her name, is it fraud? And even if she didn't legally change her name, as long as she's not pretending to be someone she isn't (e.g., she's not claiming to be an existing person, like, say, Emily), wouldn't it be okay? I can't wait to hear Nik's reply when Rebecca Budig finally admits she knows he tried to kill her. "But you lied! That's so much worse!"
  10. The same reason that I answer my phone at work: (Company), this is (real name). I understand why one would answer a business phone that way, but not a personal one. It sounded odd to my ear, that's all.
  11. Why would Ava answer her ringing phone, "Hi, it's Ava." Someone called her, not vice versa. What's with Finn's old-timey syringe? Again with the slut-shaming. Knock it off, Show.
  12. OMG, Nik. Shut. the. fuck. up. I can't believe I'm supposed to feel sorry for Nik, attempted murderer. TeamNoOne. Just when I think I've let go of the stories that give me a rage blackout, a new one pops up.
  13. It's not a question of giving her a family (not that that's what you're saying)—I repeat my (probably very tiresome) request that not everyone has to be related to someone already on the canvas—but Rebecca Budig desperately needs a better reason to be in Port Charles than she loves the man who tried to murder her. Why does she have nothing going on? Stuff is happening to her, but she's not doing much. Why is everyone on this fakakta show so passive? The pacing of the stories really does a disservice to that aspect.
  14. Not to mention, we don't know anyone she's supposed to have helped swindle. If they tied this in to Liz losing her life savings because she took her idiot brother's investment advice, that at least would boost the story somewhat. But it's all strangers, so who cares? I certainly don't.
  15. Sigh. When will this stop? I'm so tired of seeing people get slapped, especially when it's women. So lazy on the part of the writers. At least Rebecca Budig FINALLY tells Nik she knows he tried to murder her. When is RH offscreen while her story gets rejiggered because she re-signed? It should be soon, yes? I wonder if she'll go on the longest house hunt in soap history. Heh. He's letting Jar of Mayo style it.
  16. The latest Serial Drama post notes that no network will be airing the Daytime Grammys, but a streaming option might still be in the works. Yikes.
  17. Ugh, Amanda. It's so hard to be married to a wealthy man. Does she not have volunteer opportunities? Among her class there was a definite noblesse oblige, but perhaps she didn't get the gene. The CoW was awkward, to say the least. As attica pointed out, there's no way it would have been handled they way it was. Show was trying to have it both ways, bringing in contemporary attitudes and outrage, and it didn't work. What I thought did work was how differently Geordie and Sydney saw the boy who ended up killing Abigail. Loved seeing Dickens, but I wish we'd gotten at least one more episode where he was still a puppy.
  18. She came into town in the first place as a liar, and for fairly sleazy reasons. I get you want your spouse to be honest with you, but it's ridiculous Nik is shocked—shocked!—that the woman he tried to murder hadn't told him the truth. And we viewers are supposed to be on Nik's side here? I guess? I hope we get more of this, as it's the only thing making it watchable.
  19. For whatever reason, Show decided to wrap up the Parker side of this story pronto. I don't know if it's because the actor is pregnant IRL (the way this has been paced, her mat leave with coincide with her next appearance) or the writers lost their nerve/got bored/whatever. I don't really mind, but I agree that is seems Parker is escaping some sort of punishment. Her relationship with Kristina still isn't merely professor/student. Still neither TeamLiz nor TeamRebeccaBudig. It's all SO BORING.
  20. Of course you're right, but it's annoying that her children treat her like she has no idea what Helena could do. It's the mild condescension that she won't be able to handle it that really annoys me. And frankly, Nik and Lulu are self-absorbed enough that their own crap is going to keep them plenty busy.
  21. If there had been some setup for her being the daughter of a notorious Ponzi schemer, it might have worked. Instead, we find out all at once and are supposed to care that she's now disgraced and a poorz. Who cares? Tying her an existing family wouldn't help that. It's not as if Valerie is a roaring success because she's a Spencer. The show leans too heavily on family ties, expecting that fact alone to do most of the heavy lifting. Sorry, but I'm done lifted out.
  22. Probably because ads are hard to sell, and the ratings are terrible.
  23. Julie Walters is one of my favorite guests. She's always so funny. She had some nice chemistry with Fiddy, which was a bit unexpected.
  24. As long as TG stays away from GH, he can be in L.A. for as long as he wants, AFAIC. I think it's respectful that he shows up to the Emmys. He's a nominee. I don't even mind if he wins. Just stay retired from GH. ETA: Some of this probably belongs in the UO thread. Heh.
