  1. Pam got a happy ending because she decided to walk away at the right moment. V could've had that too. The under water montage was to a pretty poor standard and quite utopian considering the water quality of the Thames. Carolyn, I assume, let V+E do the dirty work and then had V shot to get back into MI6? V carving her way through a whole room of apex assassins and walking out without a scratch?? I know V wanted Eve to distract the wedding party, but little Ms. 'I am gonna get the Twelve' dancing happily while her partner does the dirty work downstairs was a bit much. It really wasn't the final season this show deserved imho.
  2. Available Sunday, April 10th at midnight Pacific/3am Eastern on AMC+.
  3. He has been a guest judge on every season of this show and is mostly known for a show called Changing Rooms (which was huge in the 90s and 00s - it was recently resurrected by Channel 4 and the 'other designer' (there are 2 teams) is the guy who came second to Sarah Mooore in the first season of the Great Interior Design Challenge). I don't know about Scottland's HOTY, but he has judged Northern Ireland's HOTY a few times. He also was in the celebrity version of the Great Prainting Challenge. Also, the builders on this show aren't doing a nice photo calendar by any chance? You know, for charity? Asking for a friend.
  4. Lawrence loves himself a tight suit - quite amusing that he popped a seam at the back of his jacket and it was in full view for a good couple of minutes. There is a reason why he always pops up on programmes like this though - he gives great and snappy commentary. I really enjoy the rapport Michelle has with all the guest judges. It always feels like she is good friends with everyone. Hate to say it, but Paul's was probably my favourite this week. I was worried about Fran's paint job, but the hut looked a lot better dressed up. Sorry to see Dean go, but it didn't really come as a surprise. He massively ran out of time and his design was a very Howard Wolowitz idea of romance. You wouldn't want to go in there with a black light after the first summer season. Amy was disappointing. Her wallpaper, even though it was off brief, was lovely. Casting for a new season is also underway.
  5. There is a new cycle of Celebrity Bake Off on at the moment - they are already a couple of episodes in.
  6. Season 3 kicks off next Tuesday, April 12th, at 9:15 on Channel 4! No idea about Netflix, its not on the list of April releases.
  7. At least we got some good Konstantin scenes before Pam got to him with the pizza cutter. The scenes on that island, a bit unnecessary, I thought. Or were there any big revelations that I missed? That series finale next week has to deliver a lot.
  8. Me too. A very American Baking show type winner. Princess castle and all. I loved the blooper reel at the end.
  9. Poor Molly. I knew she was doomed the moment she was paired Paul (and because Banjo and Dean weren't). What were they thinking putting real flowers in the window, without any saucers? How are they supposed to be watered? This is cruelty against greenery, that is. I can't remember a single instance where painting brick walls and beams in older buildings with such strong colours has improved a room. But hey, the client loved it. The bridal shop was head and shoulders above the others, the owner's reaction said it all. The idea for that lazy Susan wasn't bad, but the execution wasn't thought through. Dean and Fran were a sweet example of one designer pushing for the right thing and the other recognising that something needs to be changed. What a sweet heart Dean was before the judging when he squeezed Fran and told her that they did good.
  10. Subtitle of this episode: Oi, could you maybe not kill my only lead?
  11. They had to cut back on Claire scenes in series 4 apparently because Nicola Coughlan was busy wearing that stupid wig on Bridgerton.
  12. There is a charity episode of Glow Up in support of Red Nose Day. Its available to UK viewers on BBC Three (via the iPlayer). As is the Irish version of this show: Glow Up Ireland, which already aired last year on RTE in Ireland (be careful if you google the show and don't want to be spoiled)
  13. No complaints. The finishing of Abby and Rochelle (?) 's room was shoddy. Never hang astro turf or any material that's heavier than wallpaper, horizontally, it will inevitably sag and look sh*t, especially when you only work with a nail gun, I think you need some very heavy duty (like for flooring) adhesives. I did like the eco elements in the fox room, but its hilarious that Michelle pointet out the plants, most of which where artificial. Paul needs to go, he is so annoying. He isn't a bad designer, but not as exciting as he thinks he is. The crocodile common room didn't have a lot of seating, did it?
  14. Matts dirty fingernail in a cose up last week has thrown me right off, but Fruit & Veg week was always going to be a winner for me. Those tartelets made me so hungry, everything looked delicious - except Aaron'd double carber, which just looked dry. Aaron is on really thin ice now, I hope he can up his game again. Ella had a clean sweep this week, good for her, but I still think Nurman's the one to beat in the final.
  15. Wow, that was a really good episode. They finally gave us a couple of cornerstones of the story. The actors who played the younger Carolyn, Konstantin et all. did a damn fine job copying their mannerisms and signature expressions. Whether Vilanelle is dead or not (I'd go with the latter), the scene where she gets shot and drops dead (?) immediately is pathetically unrealistic. It didn't come as much of a surprise that she quickly got bored killing abusive husbands.
  16. I admit there are a couple of episodes I haven't watched, but as far as I know Netflix weren't in Baku (Verstappen's tyre blew up, Hamilton messed up the settings on the restart and instead of turning into the first corner drove straight off the track), Hungary (Bottas shunted Verstappen off the track) or Mexico (a whole nation roaring for Perez). Also the two races in Austria and the Netherland GP (although those were a bit boring) and they only showed bits of the Qualifying from the Belgian GP but not the shitshow of a 'race'. They also forgot to mention, during the Russell vs. Bottas episode, that George Russell's Manager is Toto Wolff. Thats how George got the gig replacing Lewis in 2020. That 2022 MERC cockpit, in my view, was always reserved for Russell (no complaints, he is an exciting young driver with a great mindset) but they pretended to be undecided to keep Lewis' wingman Bottas motivated. Edit: Or to give Netflix the chance to make an episode about them.
  17. Thanks for the link. That article sums up nicely why I am so disappointed with this season of DTS. Its a superficial and scripted version of F1 - as the author rightly sais: a soap opera - and it doesn't really capture the excitement of the whole season, nor the building tension between Red Bull and Mercedes. It didn't help that Netflix didn't (or couldn't) send a team to every race, they missed quite a bit. And that one of the title contenders - Max Verstappen - doesn't participate in the show. The last couple of episodes did manage to convey some of the crazyness of the last 3 races, but the focus on the team principals (and their wives) was exhausting.
  18. I think fake window girl was saved because the mouldy wall gave her so much unexpected grief. Her design though wouldn't have been better, had everything gone swimmingly, lets be honest. I think anyone who puts door knobs on a headboard should be kicked out immediately. I knew the judges would love the really dark rooms. If Dave Gohl stunt double Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has taught me anything, its that dark walls will draw your eye out to the garden view. How I feel about Alan laughing about his own lukewarm jokes and giving mini-critiques after visiting the contestants as if he was part of the judging panel really depends on my mood on the day. This time round I found it a bit grating, even though I like Alan Carr.
  19. Tell that to Sherlock fans who only got 3 episodes per season and always had to wait 2-3 years for the next one 😄 The shortened season came courtesy of Corona. As far as I know it was quite a challenge to get production going and they couldn't film everything on location as planned. That being said, in my opinion the problem is the season only had 4 episodes worth of story.
  20. Great that they finally got Villanelle and Carolyn on the same path. I enjoyed their very colourful scenes. The locations and sets are still the best thing about this show. Eve and Helene, I don't know. Do you guys think that's well written or just overcompensating for something? Or is it Eve playing the game the way she thinks in hindsight she should've played it with Villanelle?
  21. The drama was Midge reciting the story at the Kennedy luncheon in front of Jackie.
  22. I was initially going by still very leafy park vs. the snow storm in late October (all the Halloween references) and thought that there were at least a couple of months between the two encounters. But there actually is a temporal reference in the episode: At the Jacky Kennedy gig she mentions the hookup was 'a couple of weeks ago'. Plus at a couple of days for the Moishe drama, assuming it was right after, should put at least create a 15 day gap. Hah. 😉
  23. I went there myself too, but those two gentleman encounters weren't so close together that there could be any confusion on the matter. But on TV that hardly matters. After all, there are still people out there who think Rory's baby is Jess' even though they were fully clothed in the couple of scenes they had together and the height of romance between the two was Jess giving her soppy look.
  24. Jackie was there, wasn't she? At a table in the centre of the room, big hair and all.
  25. Poor Richard. I loved Matthew Williamson paying him a compliment about his art, but also pointing out what he needs to improve. Also his comment about starting a design in the background, then going to the middle ground and that the foreground is for the home owner to decorate was proper insightful. Matthew and Michelle had a lot of fun BTS, he posted a lot of stuff on Insta. Not surprised he liked the Bahamas room - I vaguely remember him doing prints like that 😄 In that same vein, I appreciate Michelle saying that the conversation with the bottom 4 is not an interrogation but a discussion where they might get some useful tips. Now, that design genius guru guy with the not so teal Pinterest wallpaper was doing my head in. What an arrogant prick. If you work with a professional print designer, ffs let her create an interesting wallpaper. My other minor quibble was that pipe planter the guy who made up the imaginary home owner put in the bedroom. Thats a sure way to get watermarks on the wall and I don't think it was easy to take off and clean out.
