Just catching this now but was there any follow up on the rape accusation while she was working at a convenience store? I’m only asking because this was presented as a trigger but I didn’t see anything after the claim. If it was something so life altering I don’t get why there wasn’t some kind of follow up of some kind.

What did Fernanda do to her face? I’ve only known her from this show as I don’t watch the main shows but she was such a naturally pretty girl. She’s got that frozen, ageless (not in a good way) kabuki mask look now. Way too young to be messing around with her face. But that’s JMO. I’m sad to see it. 😔

I can’t watch this show lately given how many infuriating and entitled people they seem to showcase. But I was so pleasantly surprised with Rose. She wasn’t perfect. And her family obviously had challenges too. It’s obvious that they’ve been struggling for generations. But g’damn - she tried. I wish her the absolute best of luck. She seems like a sweet lady with a big heart so I’m rooting for her.

Butterflies on ice for an event release is ridiculous and cruel. And add in the flaming lantern set off across a tree-lined river bank. Good grief. TLC - I know you want to desperately prop up this train-wreck, dysfunctional family - but maybe choose some more humane and environmentally friendly ways to do it. Sorry if I appear snarky…but the glossy veneer that TLC had put on this family irks me. As someone who was aware of the sisters and the family prior to the show - I’m always amazed that they’ve become mainstream media darlings. Just like Mama June.

Yeah - it’s Amy’s money. All she had to do was leverage her gross antics on YouTube for reality show infamy. She worked really hard for that cash. /s Michael is a waste of space but I struggle to see how much better Amy is. They’re both lazy, grifting goblins. Heck - maybe Amy can tap into the fraudulent Gofundme she started for Tammy’s “funeral” when they lied about her death years ago. I think the entire family is entitled trash. So now the two other sisters will fail at gifted WLS. Maybe Amanda can be a two time loser. Who knows? I will say that Tammy is much more likeable this season. In fact - she’s the only one who I can tolerate in this group. Imagine that. I know Caleb’s fate so don’t want to go too hard on him. But I think that he was a lodestone for Tammy. He had no intention of losing weight. His continued excuses about missing Tammy and emotionally eating was a joke. Dude was 500 lbs and in a freaking rehab center before he even met her. His excuses didn’t hold water for me.

I’ve tapped out of this season so far. Couldn’t watch anything about Babs because I lost my mother in February and my grief is still raw. I have a feeling this may trigger me a bit. That said - I’m happy for this forum so I can keep up with what our oh-so “fabulous” girl is pretending to be/do/become now. Whatever happened to this personal trainer arc? Did she realize she couldn’t fake it until she makes it with that? Or did someone finally fill her in that no one wants a 400lb braying toddler as a trainer? Also - I hope that the story about Babs not allowing Glenn contact with his daughter is not true. If it is, then Glenn is the world’s biggest simp and I can see where Twit gets her narcissism.

Ikr? I finished this last night and the lack of any follow up with the Ciccones was astounding to me. The whole entire thing was shady with a capital S. Wherever the truth lies - the one certainty is that the Barnetts are garbage. Straight criminals. All you have to do is take a look at their poor son to see what kind of “parents” they are. Awful on so many levels. I think ID tends to put out half baked documentaries because they want to get stuff out the door and strike while the proverbial iron is hot. Same thing they did with the Murdaugh documentary. Open ended and kinda sloppy. HBO or Netflix? did a much more comprehensive documentary series on the Murdaughs that was well put together and much more riveting. The Natalia Grace case deserved a lot more probing and follow up. Seemed lazy to me. And drama queen Michael can get bent. I never want to see his Neanderthal face on my screen again. What a piece of work…

So much promise last season. But I think this season has been a mess. The acting - imo - has been all over the place and OTT. Especially the young actresses. None of them had consistent characters. One minute they’re foaming at the mouth raving lunatics…next minute compassionate and reverent. I think I’m out after this season. I gave it the college try. But even after season 1 I though that it should have been a one and done kind of miniseries and was apprehensive that it could sustain the story arc for another season. Well - this season seem to have literally catapulted over the shark. The writers seem to have run out of ideas and are literally spit balling s**t now. And while I love Melanie Lynskey - I think her acting has been pretty tone deaf this entire season. Or the writing has been. Either way her cutesy “Aren’t we in a pickle? Aren’t I super zany?” acting style seems off. Especially compared to her adolescent counterpart. Oh well…one less series to binge.

When Tammy’s partner is unhealthier than she is - you may want to reconsider a wedding. Lord have mercy…Caleb sounds like he’s not long for this world. Great pair.

I agree 100%. That and she talks about how “hard” everything is when she has no job and doesn’t even do the bare minimum to keep a tidy and safe house for her toddler. She’s lazy af imo. And I don’t see what Michael does to make anything any better besides holding down a job. The two of them need to cool it on the kids until they get their shit together.

Well…that wedding was…ummm…interesting. I’m not that snarky and superficial - so I’ll stop right there with the description. That said - Meghan can get GTFOH. Tina too. One’s a freeloading drama queen and the other one is a spineless simp. They and their dorky hubbies can stay roommates from now until the end of time. I. DO. NOT. CARE. I still can’t believe how much my opinion of vanessa changed this season. She seems to have a good heart. And overcompensates for her insecurities by being loud and kind of obnoxious. But that could also be the edit she got this year. Who knows tho with TLC? They aren’t exactly known for their concern for the “stars” they exploit or any kind of broadcast honesty or integrity. Anyway - I hope Vanessa keeps on keeping on and she gets the skin surgery she needs. I cannot even imagine carrying around all that weight in my midriff. That must be so uncomfortable if not downright painful. I’ll probably tune in for next season’s shit show just to see how Vanessa and Ashley fare. The other two? Refer to my comment above.

Sorry in advance for the double post…but had to add a few more thoughts. In the first season I really struggled to understand how Meghan and Vanessa were so close given that Vanessa seemed like a loud, obnoxious sex pest and Meghan seemed relatively demure in comparison. But this season has opened my eyes as to Meghan’s true nature. She is truly gross and lacks any sense of dignity or decorum. She’s inappropriate, crass and borderline predatory. If the roles were reversed and a man acted the way she did with the waiter - or even the strippers - they’d be considered a major creep. I also think she has a real problem with alcohol. And that’s one of the myriad reasons she isn’t losing the weight. Speaking from experience - cutting out alcohol completely from my diet allowed me to lose a significant amount of weight without any other major changes to my diet or exercise. I think she needs to get that under control because it really brings out her ugly side. She’s easily my least favorite of the four. And I’m really not a fan of any of them to be quite honest. I’m mostly tuning in for the train wreck.

Man did I feel sorry for those poor bastards on the mobile bar. Not only did they now have to deal with an additional half ton of crass, screeching harpies on the ride…but you just know that none of those ladies were actually making any real effort in propelling that thing forward. Way to kill a buzz...

This show is soooo very boring. I like Vanessa - which is a 180 from my opinion on her last season. She’s at least trying. Tina and Ashley are just plugging along. They both seem to be kinda trying? We’ll see I guess. Megan is just such a whiny asshole. I can’t with her. She is destined to be 700 lbs frying wontons on her floor mattress.

I think it’s gross that TLC showcases this family. So many awful things “swept under the rug” about the Slaton family. All so we can point and laugh at the freak show. Let them do whatever they do in private. Maybe I’m coming from a place of anger…but I lost my mom recently from an illness having ZERO to do with her lifestyle. And to see this woman - Tammy - use and abuse the system makes me furious. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of pushback on this post so I apologize in advance. But I can’t stand seeing horrible people get enabled and “rewarded” for their crappy behavior.

The Tina and Meghan arc is ridiculous and shouldn’t even be on camera. If this isn’t producer driven - this is pathetic af. Kids that are out of control. A “friend” who’s a huge leech and just making matters worse. It’s not funny or “quirky” so it needs to end. If it is approaching true - Tina is pathetic and needs to prioritize her health and her family over a D-list reality show. Get a major grip lady. Damn…

Meghan is f’ing awful. Get her off the show pronto. I’d love for her to pull this s**t with Dr. Now. And Tina needs to quit being a simp. The fact that this heifer passively/aggressively blamed her for the fact her shit was ruined in the flood was beyond. And the fact Tina apologized was gross. TL:DR - get Meghan off our screens ASAP. She’s awful

Wow - I never thought Vanessa would be someone to root for after last season. But I truly hope she continues a positive path to a healthy weight. Same goes for her son. He’s much too young to be that massive. I foresee a life of misery if he doesn’t get some kind of medical intervention soon. Having said that - Megan is an insufferable asshole. Never mind that she’s had surgery but is too lazy to follow up at all. She’s also living in Tina’s basement and has the absolute audacity to complain about anything. This grifting a$$hole and her feeder should be thankful for anything at this point. But maybe I’m naive and think Tina is a friend and not some fame whore and/or tax avoidance grift. At this point - who knows? All I can say is that it pains me to see people suffering and waiting for help and these assholes are just “figuring it out”.

I’m only 10 minutes in and that promo video made my eyes bleed. Everyone looks absolutely garish and terrible. It was amateurish, cheesy and cringe. And all I kept thinking is…Olivia Newton John deserved so much better (RIP).

I don’t watch any of the “parent” 90DF shows so I’m coming in blind (mostly) to this show. Which gives me - I guess - a slightly unbiased view of some of these folks. Unless it’s someone like No Neck Ed or Danielle whose negative pop culture footprint you kinda can’t miss. That said - I had no preconceived idea about Caesar except that he seemed like a complete sap to have been grifted by an obvious hustler yet continued to go back to the same trough (pardon the expression) for a new “girlfriend”. He strikes me as someone that would benefit from a wrangler as he’s obviously too stupid and shallow to get by in life. When he came out to the limo to go to the meet and greet in a cheap senior prom suit and a top hat(!) he looked like a capital C clown. My mind immediately went to Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber and I’ll admit I took a bit of pleasure in his sad realization that the other men in the limo were probably miles ahead of him in the gold digger pecking order. Although for the life of me I don’t get what crypto boy was doing there as he seemed both pretty cute and financially above-board. Of course - and in my opinion - anybody that uses a mail order bride service is already sus. Long story short - Caesar strikes me as a real delusional piece of work who is way too fixated on finding (and paying for) a hot, submissive woman. I think he’s a fool tbh.

This ep was really Whitney at her most obnoxious. From the obviously staged Lenny “meeting” to her acting as the MC at the cringey group date. She really thinks she’s the s**t doesn’t she? And the constant hammering home of this totally real French boyfriend was so transparent. It didn’t even look like Glenn or Lenny were trying to play along on that one. She’s just so annoying. And, while I feel for Babs and her situation, some things should really be played offline. Not everything is fodder for a low-tier reality show. But that’s our Whit…

Man…if this is how the series ends I’ll be pi**ed. Overall I liked this show. It had its slower moments but I enjoyed the slow burn tbh. Plus I’m a huge Harold Perrineau fan and would watch about anything he’s in. Welp…I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens. 😡

I hope that if they renew the show they do some episodes on how some of the main characters got to this place. I liked Boyd’s back story. And - on an unrelated note - was kind of intrigued at how much the actress who played his wife looked like Julie Christie…one of my faves.
