  1. Heck, even Ray Charles could have seen Mia as a gold digger. So is Ashley, but she is smart enough not to admit it on camera.
  2. Does it seem like Robyn got a huge glow-up this year? I'm not the biggest fan of her new look but she does look incredibly put together compared to previous seasons.
  3. I love that episode. It also makes me want to eat what Debra cooked (Marie would say, "Poor dear, you must be desperate for nourishment.")
  4. Gordon must be running out of money or this Is just a fake story line plot.
  5. I loved it when Frank would stand up for Debra. The show was excellent about what life is like when you marry into a family that you do not understand. Marie and Debra might as well be aliens to each other in the way they approach life.
  6. This is the only HW show that I look forward to, now. So, Ashley got fake breasts...what a shock It looks like without Michael her only job on the show is to bait Candiace.
  7. Wait, I thought I was the only one who secretly said this to myself?
  8. A few of us in this forum have already noticed this.
  9. Young rich guys, too. Her current husband comes from a rich family and is an MIT grad. I have no idea he would attach himself to a known liar.
  10. Paige is expecting a baby and looks to be very happy with her nice-looking new man. Eric married a very pretty lady in a lovely wedding ceremony. Hopefully, the third time will be the charm for him.
  11. Ashley is the only person I have seen who looks more broke after marrying a rich man. I thought Ashley was so bubbly and cute when the show started.
  12. Weirdly, I think this show gives the strippers some dignity while still being ratchet enough to be entertaining as Hell. I respect that this is not an easy balance to achieve.
  13. Cindy Birdsong would definitely be my go-to name for a fictional country music artist.
  14. As a kid, I just chalked it up to something rich people must do. I know Charlene came from a poor family and Mary Jo was middle class but the sisters came from money.
  15. A bigger surprise would be that he was a sweet gentleman who enjoyed making love instead of just tawdry sex.
  16. Also, at this point, nothing is really surprising.,
  17. I am biased by my own experience. I found Charlotte to be very pretty in the original show. I liked the way she dressed preppy but very much like a young sophisticated woman who would run an art gallery in NYC. My friend taught at a very prestigious private school in NYC (can not say the name of the school to protect my friend's privacy). I asked her to tell me what she thought of Charlotte's storyline. She said the moms could be very hands-on but it was not unusual for nannies or au pairs to do the more mundane things like everyday pick-ups and drop-offs. The moms wore a lot of very expensive athleisure wear. The look was to always look fit and busy, though these moms were more busy planning elaborate trips than household errands. To her, Charlotte just looked like what rich moms wore a couple of generations ago more than now. I also thought some of the clothes did not flatter Charlotte's figure, which is lovely. My friend also said not all rich schools are the same. She also taught at a European school where everyone was super super-wealthy farmers. They were proud to wear frumpy and dowdy clothes but bragged all the time about million-dollar farm equipment.
  18. It feels like they are going to the same well over and over again yet the water has long since run out. There was not enough (or not different enough) content for a proper second season.
  19. I totally agree. It is ridiculous to think all men are predators. I know I am grateful for the wonderful men in my life. I always enjoyed that JD, Reece, Anthony, and others balanced out this show. Even, Ray Dawn was shown to be a decent guy.
  20. The irony is that in the first season, they dressed the actresses in ways that unnecessarily aged them in the first season. Miranda might not have looked bad in her new looks but then they totally made the character trash so no one cared.
  21. The original four ladies had a type of chemistry that was almost lightning in a bottle. I grew up in Atlanta and thought the original four felt very authentic and real. I loved Jean Smart's accent even though it is not the way she talks in real life. The chemistry of the core group made the more eccentric characters, like Bernice, enjoyable. Jan Hooks might have worked but in the beginning she felt like bargain basement Charlene. It is amazing how relevant this episode is today. I know a lot of younger woman who would love to be stay at home moms but with the combination of student loans, inflation, stagnant wages, and horrible dating apps, most have given up on trying to meet someone. It sometimes feel like this show was not take seriously because it was considered a "chic show" but they really had some poignant episodes that still resonate in the current times.
  22. Be careful of referring to this show around people who do not know it. When I recite the real reason the lights went out in Georgia, I get quite a few looks.
