Ivy26, regarding the courtship timing, I swear I saw Jill wearing that heart-shaped necklace in the first or second episode of the season. I remember noticing it because I didn't like it, I thought the pendant was too big. It could just be wonky editing where footage from later in the season was used as filler for earlier episodes, but I'm totally confused by the timeline as well.

Yeah, if Bin is going to U of A, he'll definitely fall into temptation. Any big D-1 school that revolves around football is always a huge party school. Jessa is pretty, but so are a million other girls who don't have sticks up their asses. Maybe Jessa is hoping Bin screws up so she has an excuse to get rid of him.

OMG, I saw the Jeffs movie followed by the documentary as well and I was freaked out by the parallels between FLDS and ATI/IBLP. When that one girl told of how all the women were expected to "keep sweet, block out emotions and plaster a smile on your face at all times," I was like wow, sound familiar? Between that, women being required to keep their hair long, pictures of girls posing with violins and women being encouraged to birth as many babies as possible it was like another version of Gothard. Not surprising that both leaders are sexual perverts who took advantage of young girls.

Has Jill been on a mission trip for an extended length of time? It's one thing to visit a third world craphole for a couple of weeks to ooh and ahh over the poverty, but to live there for one or two years? Jill has a good heart but I'm not sure she could hack it.

I don't know what happened to Serena today. Early in the second set she looked like she was about to burst into tears. I couldn't understand why, because at that point it was still a close match. Maybe she's just burnt out. I agree the Middle Sunday tradition needs to go by the wayside. The game is too physical and the rallies on grass are longer now that no one serves and volleys anymore. To have a match drag out over three days when that could be avoided is ridiculous.

Wow, now that you mention it the shoes did have a dusty, well-worn look to them. Hannie's looked like they were a size too big. It wouldn't surprise me if they fished them out of a Goodwill bin. Keepin it klassy ya'll!

Considering that one Gosselin twin is a snotty, miserable brat, I don't think many guys will be beating down Kate's door to date her daughters. FJ this week has been hit or miss for me. I got Saudi Arabia immediately, but was clueless on Nobel and Agatha Christie. Go figure. George S. did a great job as celebrity clue-reader. I was initially wary after Sandra Day O'Connor's painfully slow reading made me want to scratch my eyes out, but he was a real pro. Tigershark, great run, you should be so proud!

I think Jana's doula training will go by the wayside now that Jill's married. Honestly I think Jana was only doing it to chaperone Jill and get the internet critics off Boob's back.

I've always thought Jana was the prettiest of the girls and people on the "other" forum who saw her in person said the same thing. RedheadZombie, do you recall the story of when, as a child, Jessa stole Jana's jewelry box? Instead of punishing Jessa, Michelle told Jana she was being selfish and made her give the box to her sister. Great parenting there, Michelle.

Wow, what an amazing match between Venus and Petra. I was bummed that Venus didn't win, but she fought as hard as she could, she has everything to be proud of. For me it was the best match of the tournament so far.

mbutterfly, I was a flight attendant for seven years, so trust me I'm not hating on the Easy Spirits! I think their shoes would be cute with denim skirts or shorts, but for a wedding they should have worn a dressier sandal or a pump. Jill and Derick's kiss looks a little smushed and awkward, we'll have to see how it plays out on tv. After seeing all these first-kiss Fundie weddings, I'm totally convinced Erin and Chad were making out like horny teenagers prior to their nuptials. Their kiss was way too perfect to be a first-timer.

I don't like fondant either. I think what would have been better is for the friend to make a small, manageable cake strictly for Derick and Jill, and then do a sheetcake or cupcake tiers for the other guests. It looked like the multi-tiered cake may have started out okay and then the girl got in over her head trying to build up all the layers.

I agree the style of bridesmaid's dress doesn't flatter Anna at all. The bodice is too small for someone with ample boobage.

The cake looks nice for a homemade job but I can't tell if the sliding layers were deliberate or not. Jinger is unrecognizable. I can't believe how tiny she is, her arms look stick thin in the bridesmaid picture. Jill's dress needed to be tailored a little more snugly, but she probably wasn't comfortable wearing anything too fitted.

drafan, I had a feeling our snark-free love fest wouldn't last! And the Duggars sure didn't disappoint! Bless their hearts for giving us enough material to fill up a thousand forum pages! Those brown sandals remind me of the Easy Spirit shoe section at Macy's. You can buy nude pumps at Target for thirty bucks that would have looked better than what the J'Slaves and Anna wore. I guess vintage/rustic/barn is the current theme du jour for weddings but the bridal party is waaaayyy too informal for that massive church.

If Jinger and Jessa are going to inhale self-tanner they need to go with a higher end brand like Clarins or St. Tropez so they don't come out looking like roasted oranges. The bridesmaids dresses would have been cute minus the white slip and chunky sandals.

I'm looking forward to the Venus Williams/Petra Kvitova match tomorrow. If Venus is feeling up to par physically that one could be very interesting. Happy that Roger won today. I'd love to see him make one final run before things really start to go downhill. I think Wimbledon is his best chance.

I was curious about Jamal's woman as well. She seemed way below him on the social/political food chain, so why did he seek her out for repeated sexual torture? I'm hoping Molly gets taken out by the terrorists in an upcoming epi. It's hard to believe someone can be so stupid. For two people married for nineteen years they seem like complete strangers.

I don't think Derick wants a ginormous family. The few times I saw him with the younger Duggars I got an annoyed vibe, like he really didn't enjoy all the kids crowding and hanging on to him. I've always found it creepy the way the younger ones attach themselves indiscriminately at complete strangers. Derick looked totally freaked out when Josie threw herself at him at the airport.

I think if people had to wash cloth diapers like they did in the old days there wouldn't be so many four year-olds walking around not potty trained. I give kids with developmental issues a pass. I get the feeling toilet training isn't Boob and Michelle's "jurisdiction" and Jana is just too depressed to give a shit anymore (pun not intended). Jill's gone, Jinger could care less and we know Miss Princess ain't changing a pre-schooler's diapers.
