  1. That's an interesting take on it. Did she ever know the details of them wanting Dean as Michael's vessel, etc? Funny, I just realized I had a fanfic I started writing that had a similar dilemma, keeping Deans child a secret to him because of him being a hunter, etc. (Original Character). Then I kind of hated where it was going and started over lol. The irony!
  2. Yes! I agree and it's totally what I've believed. The appeal of Lisa was Lisa+Ben, family unit, not Lisa alone. I'm firm that Ben is not his. But its really stupid to have him imitate Dean, unless they were making a point of Lisa pining over Dean and passing his likes to her son. That would be weird. And I don't remember that being the case and noticed that was dropped in future appearances.
  3. Cassie Robinson: This was a better good-bye than last time. Dean Winchester: Yeah well, maybe this time it'll be a little less permanent. Cassie Robinson: You know what? I'm a realist. I don't see much hope for us, Dean. Dean Winchester: Well, I've seen stranger things happen. Helluva lot stranger. Cassie Robinson: [smiling sadly] Good-bye, Dean. Dean Winchester: I'll see you Cassie. I will. I said this in the other thread but I think her hesitation should be more appreciated! It is certainly understandable given what she knew of Dean's lifestyle. It would be a Long-distance relationship. There's a lot overcome: I'm sure she planned for having a more tradional relationship as most people do, I'm sure she wondered where she would fit in Dean's lifestyle of chasing monsters, and finding his Dad was his priority, etc. (Lisa had the benefit of learning about Dean's job while he was saving her son's life. In that case, I would give him a shit ton of slack too.) Earlier in the episode. Dean stated that he and Cassie would be working out their issues until they were 90 lol. More importantly, he promised to be in touch. The ball was in his court essentially. I think the writers left some hope open for a reason. But Kripke's embarrassment of the episode caused him to throw out the baby with bathwater.
  4. @catrox14 here's what I was saying about why Lisa was brought back for Dream A Little Dream (her second appearance): https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_a_Little_Dream_of_Me_(Supernatural)
  5. The door was not completely closed. He even told Sam earlier that He and Cassie would be working out their issues until they were 90. I think her realistic hesitation should be more appreciated. Dean was focused on finding John and would traveling the country doing his job. Also Dean doesn't make promises lightly and seemed sincere in promising to see her again. It's safe to say that Kripke had such embarrassment for Bugs and Route 666 as a whole that he wanted to distance himself. Lisa was a Sera Gamble invention. And she ended up in Dean's dream sequence because they couldn't get the rights from Paramount (I believe) for Jason Voorhees, who was originally written to appear in the sequence! But yes, I am afraid of what they would do to Cassie if they actually brought her back. Especially after what they did to Missouri! Ketch may just be back for potential Mary conflict or Mary/Dean bonding over a common enemy. Neither are wanted from where I sit. Totally agree!
  6. LOL! I wasn't kidding! Just imgaine me having to watch him "I see myself happy with you BS" in detail as I was typing the dialogue for my post lol. Blech. I still maintain that Lisa plus Ben was appealing to Dean vs. Just Bendy Weekend Lisa. But back on topic...Yeah, about that Evil Colonel Sanders...
  7. I haven't seen bugs in awhile, but you are my Spirit Animal about Route 666. I've personally found the tide as turned around a bit on the initial hate it reportedly received. I think, newer fans discovering the show with fresh eyes, as well as older viewers having less of their previous prejudices (Dean dated someone! And she dumped him - how could she?! etc.. not to mention some ironic reactions to him being in an interracial relationship, ahem - that's for another thread), has helped that episode be less hated. Megalyn is no Meryl Streep but her and Jensen had great chemistry (whereas Cindy Sampson is great but the chemistry is not there for me), but the writing was pretty horrible. But yes, it was an important episode for Dean as a character, enjoyable in that regard.
  8. See Mary tortured would have been overkill. Not that it has ever stopped the show before. It's funny, This awesome celebratingdean tumblr is doing theme posts and this week is Divinity. So yesterday I was watching Season Five for the post I wrote. With all the different "ongoing" creature plotlines (meaning not the MOW variety) the boys have to face it's like a poor man's/knock-off/Bootleg version of that Season. My Christmas wish is that they would care to imitate that season's mostly coherent storyline and quality overall. Now, I'm in the minority that was able to "enjoy" the episode, but that's because my bar is so very l-o-w. It's my coping mechanism. Because being offended at the show - no matter how valid is....effin' exhausting. There's just too much "nonsense" happening, too many opportunities of things I find annoying to highly offensive from a viewer standpoint. I mean just unfortunate things that could be avoidable if they cared enough to avoid them. I mean there things I still dislike Season Five, sure, things I personally wish had gone differently. Howver, I could tell the creators CARED about he show and had some kind of plan overall and weren't just throwing stuff at a dartboard to keep their paycheck. My favorite things were: 1- Dean getting to be smart and clever in figuring out Ketch-up was Ketch-up by how he looked speaking about Mary and his fighting moves, among other things. Did anyone find him unrecognizable, initially? 2-It was nice to see Kevin - hope he gets to meet/work with the boys on the other side. 3-No Mary in AU I'm SO over the torture porn. I'm so over LUCIFER. I'm so over CAS GETS CAPTURED, FUCKS UP AGAIN STORYLINES. Can he play along with Dean and Sam for more than one episode for once? Are there really NO non-assy Angels? Enough, Show! (personal pet peeve: I'm so mad Ketch gets to come back while Cassie continues to only exist in one episode of season one. *humph* )
  9. I'm actually happy about this. Something to look forward to during my Turkey coma.
  10. That, it is! However, stupid plotlines in the right hands could be somewhat rewarding. But I'm like Dean a couple episodes ago - Weary, untrustful of TPTB, just plain scared at how bad this is going to all go! There really should be some "Missing Pregnant Woman" stories on Kelly on the TV at least. You know media eats that up lol. or did the do that and I missed it?! Acknowledging how the "normal" non-supernaturally aware world still operates would actually add to the plot.
  11. ooh...that would be an interesting conundrum for Dean. He almost can't live with himself if he can't "save" his loved ones, so this would be awful for him. I only remember the Dennis Quad movie, but vaguely. And that's a interesting question - I could see Cas doing that for the greater good, etc. Would it be NephilimHeart? This discussion reminds me of something else I wondered: What about Kelly's next of kin - the shows acts like she didn't have a family, which is weird. Unless she sprung up naked out of a clam shell like Venus - she came from someone. What kind of connection would he have to his human folks - Kelly's DNA? Like would they need one of them to stop him of he went all Big Bad or something like that? Probably belongs in another thread.
  12. ...When your co-worker tells someone "Carry On" to another co-worker, and you immediately say "...My wayward son..." - ya'll know the rest...(and look around sheepishly to see if anyone heard you). I saw the ads but haven't watched it. I know that Megalyn Echikunwoke who played Cassie in Route 666 guested on there as some kind of (beautiful but deadly) creature.
  13. The scary part of that is - can Jack take his power back at will? Therefore, "killing" Cas again? But that goes back to the "Will they truly let Jack become/show an evil side" question I've been wondering all season. Cas had done something no one else achieved - left the Empty - that leaves room for them to make-up some new dynamic previously not explored before. I wish the writing was up to how fascinating that could be.
  14. I was thinking the same. We had this in the Old West episode and with his favorite Wrestler. As much as I enjoyed those moments....They truly don't give a rat's ass about previous SL, and going forward with fresh ideas, huh?
  15. Interesting! I'm sure that dream...(vision, perhaps?) factored into him accepting that "Mom's dead-again." Along with grief, Im now wondering if Dean always believed that Mary's stay couldn't be permanent, but only fleeting at best. Her not dying would have been the surprise.
  16. That would be a welcome twist! Except, the boys can have good evil-dar when the writers allow them too. So there must be a reason they switch teams and later get on the same page. Like maybe his powers effect them differently, blinding them at different times to the full story?
  17. Drunk Bish spoke as if she knew Cas , she could be lying of course. Was it established where Cas was in the battle in the AU? Like many of the unclear moments on my Fav Shows, I'll chalk it up to poor writing or acting or execution, not always all, but sometimes it just happens lol. I wish I had the scripts to see what the original, uh, vision was for certain scenes/episodes. I'm do think we will get some beings crossing over, definitely. Good point about Dean - we know Grief-ridden Dean is very black and white and determined. I wonder what will be the turning point for him to not think Jack is death-worthy. Many times, I want to personally show Dean the error of his ways...but that's a whole other discussion *ahem* cough, cough.
  18. Or maybe the show continues to be consistent about its inconsistencies when it comes to Angels and their powers. This frustrates me to no end in regards to Cas, specifically. Though I guess they do try to gives some kind a semi-throwaway reason for him not to be able to kick ass that should otherwise be able to kicked. I'm still not clear if Drunk Bitch and Pimp-sauve dude were Angels or Demons working for Lucifer. In other news, Although I read your guys posts, essentially lurking most of the time - I decided to watch semi-live this season. My usual is to skip most of the season (all of it last season!) and binge-watch it at the end. But dagnabbit there is too much fuckery and a sprinkling of fun to contain and I end up having debating all by my lonesome. I had very LOW, low, low expectations for this episode, so that may contribute to why I found it fairly enjoyable. At least I did NOT hate Jack - though *nitpick alert* that NOUGAT line fell so flat for me. I'm annoyed just thinking about it now! They were going for a Cas meets Terminator first coming to earth kinda dealio but while it was not gawdawful, it was....a B+ plus bordering on C effort? My favorite parts were Jensen/Dean's prayer and I must say Jared/Sam's Eulogy was noticeably great in the funeral pyre scene. Both scenes were very touching and made me cry. I am NOT liking what the "Dean is A Super Bitch" (He's a super Bitch, he's super bitchy, He's Super Bitchy - yow. Thank you Rick James) line repeated at least 2x by Drunk Angel-Demon girl - means for Dean's storyline this season. So the issue of all monsters being evil and worth killing or not - has been brought up numerous times and been in a thorn in the brother's relationship a few times. I'm thinking Dean killing Sam's childhood friend (forgetting what kinda monster she was, a Ruguru maybe?) AND Sam killing Dean's Amazon (??) daughter, in retaliation. However, last season Dean and Sam were on the same page in teaching the BMoL dude that they kill on a case by case basis. AND they were on the same page that Baby Lucifer would have to die. But we are back to Dean wants to kill, Sam doesn't, wash, rinse repeat AGAIN. Show, there are other themes you could explore at this point. I'm just sayin'. I find both of them have reasonable points of view. But they never talk about why they feel the way they do - they just tell/try to guilt-convince the other one what he should believe. But Telling and not Showing is my ongoing issue with Supernatural and I need to just accept it, like a 12-step process of Fangirl Recovery. Their communication continues to suck going into Season 13.
  19. I wanted to fight this kid. Newbie. I just finished Season two. my two cents on the Randall thing - I was against killing him, until that scene where he's talking to CARL (that fucking kid!). He said something like I'll take you to my camp and show all the supplies we have. He may have been bluffing but it was the opposite of what he had told Rick, Shane and Darryl, - he claimed he had no idea where his group was, etc. He just was not trustworthy.
  20. Newbie here. I just marathoned Season 1 and 2. - althought I was aware of the show and characters of course by way of tumblr. And I have lots of friends who pressured me into watching lol. The Daryl is a-sexual conversation really surprised and confused me. But it seems it's some writing/performance issue that comes up in later seasons? Honestly all of them seemed sexually suppressed unless it services the storyline. Otherwise they are all in anxious survival mode and sexy may seem like a luxury, particularly when their numbers dwindled down. It's a combination of "reformed redneck/badboy', great hunting and fighting skills, his sense of humor, and the tragic bulldog, who is really a damaging puppy who needs love persona that made him sexy to me - haha. I'm a sucker for that kind of character in various degrees. (Similarly, Dean Winchester on Supernatural or John Reese on Person of Interest. And yes once upon a time Spike from the early Buffy days before Marni Noxon ruined him). So he's not A-sexual in season 1 and 2, but sex is not at the top of his list. (Also T-Dawg wasn't given any sexual play - oh yeah, but he wasn't given a storyline either in Season 2. )
  21. "My Sort-of-Friends have been killed and I'm bummed about..." - Chanel #3 (Or something like that1)
  22. Hester and Gigi have a passing resemblance. I'm thinking Hester is Gigi's daughter by either Grace-Dad or some other KKT manwhore. And she is as creepy and murderous as her Mama. Is there another killer? Why would 2nd/Sister Red Devil - go through the trouble of saving Gigi by killing Boone. Then kill her the next day? Whoever they are - they were going to be late and had have an alibi. So Who came late? Chanel #5 - I'm leaning towards her more. I agree with the Pete in a Sleepaway Camp twist. Hester - she could have done things before she got to the Radwell's? But that's a stretch. Chanel was with Chad on the way to his awful family... Also, remember when Boone was talking to someone on the phone - he asked "How's Zayday?" So it seems like someone who close enough to Zayday to report on her. My first thought was Grace - her dad made some good points. Argh - this show has me thinking there's like 4 people that could be the 2nd Red Devil. Maybe there's more Red Devils?? I like the theme of Family. I'm sad to say I had a "break" from my family and ended up spending it with my friends and their families. Family is truly who you make them to be and who is there for you. Sometimes that is not always the biological kind.
  23. They are cute in RL too - from Glen Powell's twitter: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CSiDWyHXIAEOdrN.jpg:large https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CSgRdLgUAAAIbgh.jpg:large Seriously these two are missed when they don't have enough screentime. I was screaming myself when the Red Devil nearly killed Denise. So glad she fought back and won....and LOL at her immediately needing a ghost story AT THAT MOMENT to calm down. LOL. Chad's reason for not taking Hester to his families thanksgiving was hilarious - including her farting during sex. ATONY, ON 18 NOV 2015 - 12:14 PM, SAID: It was a fake-out no more no less. You have to remember this show is run by Ryan Murphy Patron Saint of gay people on TV. He won't just throw away a gay character out of spite or anything. LOL. I figured out another thing that really bugs me about Grace - the way the actress speaks. I don't care enough to look her up but is she not from the US? She has a weird sneezy-tone to her voice that is becoming tiresome.
  24. Does Lee Daniels not approve Real life BBk and Real LIfe Andre being engaged? Seems like he's punishing her and/or has some clause where they can not be in the same scenes together. Hence, not as many scenes this season and she was kicked out of Empire and then Cookie's company when Andre was hanging around there. I really liked seeing Anika and Rhonda have a scene together. I feel like both women have been sidelined when they were important parts of Season 1. Rhonda had a career, connived along with Andre and even had scenes with Cookie. Now - nothing. AND what the hell is she pregnant or not? Do the show people know how pregnancies work?? I enjoyed the episode overall. My favorite part was Hakeem destroying the LYON and dropping it from his name. Take that, Dad Luscious. That scene with Lil' Luscious sleeping outside should have been sad. But I was distracted because there is no way a child could sleep outside Chicago's infamous Art Institute Museum lions and be unnoticed. In NY maybe, but I used to work across the street from that amazing museum and that would not happen. Poor kid, though.
