True dat. I was expecting Dean to look back and see Chuck/God/Rob B. crouched in the back seat like "gotcha!" I would have groaned- chuckled at that! Aha! That's what this episode reminded me of - the IT remake. I was so irritated with Pennywise messing with those kids for 2 hours that it diminished any fear of him (Not that Chuck inspired any fear) Chuck should have waved at Dean with a severed hand. I'm sure the props department has a couple on hand.

Confession - I finally finished season 14 (I take breaks from the show periodically since season 12 or so...) and it was painful. but THIS episode was a delight. I watched again already. I love seeing Dean happy and nerdy. I love him making a friend that into the same stuff. And finding out that Dean likes horror movies because "the bad guy always loses" was pretty poignant. So cute!

Was tonight's episode Jared's Favorite episode or Episode 20? Cuz....😬 I want them both to find some kind of happiness.

He did? It will be interesting to gauge reactions. I think if you are a newer fan, this stuff doesn't bother you or not as much?? No shade. I really enjoyed Jake Abel in this episode and seeing him back overal- gave a solid performance. When they did the close up of his face he really does look like he could be related to Dean and Sam. This was truly frustrating and no other Showrunner would have gone that direction.

I can't fully describe how much I disliked this!!! I actually don't enjoy an hour of the boys being tortured mentally, physically and emotionally, only for the Fetus to save the day. Jack killed God. Dabb got all he wanted. What a dick. This is embarrassing. WTF with these Hallmark Lifetime song montages? aye aye aye...

Phuck! Some folks on twitter and tumblr are mad at Dean and labeling him homophobic. Apparently he didn't react big enough to Cas' Confessional. This is the nonsense I'm talking about. It feels like another wave of ongoing anger against Jensen for not pushing Destiel to their satisfaction, i.e. the level Misha has.

Dispair, indeed!!! I would be upset, to say the least, for a long time over this. I STILL hold a grudge against NBC for its mistreatment and cancellation of Quantum Leap AND that Sam never leaped home. *sobs* I'm hoping Yabba Dabba Doo hired a *new* ghostwriter and just stuck his name on it. And that Ghostwriter was an undercover actual fan of the show and remembered canon and respected the characters. And Dabb didn't have time to read the final script before it went into production.

Silos always remind me of this scary TV movie back in the 80s Night of Scarecrow. These bullies killed a poor innocent man that was Mentally Disabled out of sheer ignorance and hate. So his ghost came back as killer Scarecrow. One victim was thrown in a silo and suffocated by falling CORN. Okay, saying it out loud it sounds silly but it was actually creepy! lol. I would be surprised if Kripke hasn't seen that, has a lot of SPN similarities the more I think about it... Same about Donna! That upset me. Bobby not so much.

LOL. Awwww, - this a good reminder that his humility is one of the many things I love about him. Lord knows, he is attractive and talented enough to be a SUPER MEGA Jerk and still get whatever he wants. Men with far less have done so.

That makes sense, I can totally see that being the case. Meanwhile back at the ranch, this post makes me so HAPPY. Sam being the academically driven brother has now been reduced to Sam is the Smart one and Dean isn't. I can't recall the exact quotes but there has been a few times where a baddie stated as much. I mean, he could at least act neutral but he's buttering his bread nice and thick, maybe because protected his position with the network? My question to you experts: Is there not anyone who could have been more supportive/protective of Jensen? WHY does Dabb have such License to ruin this character and, make the actor's experience hell? Gamble was forced to bring Castiel back after firing Misha. Why is Dabb so untouchable?

Confused about the first because I posted the dialogue from that goodbye scene? He knew Lisa for even less time. A weekend + how ever long her episode was (2 days?). We can't understate the importance of him telling her the Big.Family.Secret that even Sam, who LOVED to defy John didn't even tell his long-term girlfriend who he loved. We will have agree to disagree on the Ben thing. It seems to me he wouldn't have any return connection to Lisa if he had not met Ben. Her acceptance of Hunter Dean was based on Dean saving her son and her witnessing it first hand. Totally not faulting her at all, it's just my interpretation. Yes Lisa was accepting. How Lisa found out about hunting is totally different circumstances than Cassie. Lisa literally saw it in action as Dean and Sam saved her son. She was grateful - Dean was a hero. Very different than this guy leaving town and telling you "some insane story" as Cassie put it. Anyway, I just want Dean to be happy. Since Lisa was brought back, and I had no choice - I wanted him to find some kind of peace and acceptance. But I will always maintain that Cassie appearing in his dream made way more sense.

I totally get what you're saying and I agree. This is supposed be an earlier draft of the script. I wish they had kept this bit in. It may have calmed down the "she's flaky" criticism. I can get behind this interpretation! I always imagined that they had a strong attraction, and it was supposed just be a casual thing but then they somehow got to know each other and grew feelings for each other. But Dean was this "bad boy" who didn't live in her area and who was leaving, so she got scared and decided to protect herself and break up with him 1st. I think Cassie might be a Leo lol. Ultimately, they were going to always say goodbye because of the story the show had to tell. The point of Cassie was to show us (and Sam) more about Dean (the previous episode Faith did a good job as well). That even though Sam saw him as Dad's little soldier, Dean wanted more at one point and lost her/the potential because of the Hunting lifestyle. That he wasn't only a one-night stand guy. Sam got to see more of his vulnerability, and what they did have in common. I think the type of girl he chose to open up to was telling as well: Yes, beautiful and hot. But fearless, smart and mission-driven. Bonus: Sam respected her and they all worked well together.

I've been racking my brain. What I came up with was either 1-stopping Cas from pulling Dean out of hell. Which was hinted at, OR 2-going back to Young!Mary and making sure she doesn't do the deal with YED. She marry's John, has Dean and Sam, but no Demon comes to kill her and "tag" Sam. No Widowed John raising them in the wild, so to speak. No hunting for anyone. Billie doesn't have to worry about them coming back from the dead in this timeline. OOC Dean is so hard to watch. It's gutwrenching. Death has always been about order and what should be. However, I almost hate to give the writers any credit for anything logical or consistent with a past plotline! lol Too bad that already used the title Jump the Shark because Jack is a total Cousin Oliver and just as annoying. (which reminds me of poor Adam!)
