Actually, he can't fly. In comic book canon, all Legion members have flight rings.

"Don't grab women Sweetheart." Yikes. About as subtle as Mike Tyson and Harvey Weinstein in a Women's Dormitory. Nice try though. Better than last week, but it seems like this show is still trying to find its way. There were some positive signs however. After nearly three seasons we now know why Alex is able to perform medical procedures, even if it seemed like an after-thought by the writers. Slightly better cast integration as a lot of folks got stuff to do - Mon-El was actually helpful for the first time on this show. J'onn and Winn almost seemed shoe-horned in this week to fulfill contractual obligations. Kara spent most of this episode in civilian clothes and frequently displaying her powers. That should come back to haunt her, but probably won't. Lillian as Transformer/Iron Man may just be the most awesome thing this show has ever done. Lena in that Black dress makes me wanna marry Katie McGrath even more. I'd draw a bath and cook dinner for her every single night.

Not sure what I love more, this crazy show or the wonderful, insightful folks that post here. :o) I've never been big on Maya Rudolph as a performer, but she has all my residual love for her Mom, the late, great Minnie Riperton. Having said that, she was pretty good, Betty White may have been the better choice if she's still up to working.... The tests were kind of hit-or-miss for me. Jason will always be a lovable idiot, so his asking if not playing was an option isn't anything you could ever expect from him. Chidi and Tahani, IMO, both failed miserably. For all his smarts, and after all this time, he still hasn't figured out that all his problems start and end with indecisiveness? Gee Whiz. And Tahani should be at the point where gaining her parents' favor shouldn't matter anymore, making that choice to confront them again useless. Eleanor truly has earned entry into the Good Place. A former, self-identified selfish, garbage person, she's made a deliberate decision to make it all about the group instead of herself. And as another poster pointed out, Ellie's street smarts beats Chidi's book-learning every day of the week and twice on Sunday. As a former con artist, she almost always sees through the illusions thrown at them sooner as opposed to later. I think Michael will be the game changer next week. He's going to advocate for a move that sends the human somewhere other than the Bad Place. But with this show, you can't be too sure.

That was me being facetious. I'm so disgusted by the writers having established MM as the "most powerful being on the Planet," as per Kal-El, only to subsequently make him slightly less useless than Mon-El. Agreed. Things had been fairly promising in this post-CBS universe, now it seems like the Showrunners have lost their way.

I actually think she was stupid enough to think that if she found him at Windemere that he'd sit and wait for her to call Dante to come and arrest him. How the HELL is this Luke Spencer's daughter???? ETA: I've gotten a kick out of Faison for nearly 40 years now, but AH looks too old to scare anybody. And I say that as on old gray-hair myself, lol.

Kara has the worst-kept secret identity in the super-hero universe. Literally everyone at the DEO knows she's Supergirl. Add sloppiness like you just pointed out and Kara might as well go Fantastic Four style and drop the pretense. Of course that would out Cousin Kal as well since it's been put out there that Kara and Clark are kin folk. Messy, as the kids say. I'm still "meh" on Mon-EL, but this cast is too crowded as it is, no way should the Legion hang around. Despite popular opinion I still believe Imra bites the dust if Mon-El is in fact staying on as a regular.

Solid episode, well-balanced and with good pacing. Snark time: at least the writers found a fairly creative way to side-line MM this time.

S11.E14: The Separation Triangulation

Messy, but would make a hella interesting story, even for a Lorre sitcom. I could see them going down that road, if TPTB really wanted to shake the show out of its complacency. -

Odd that one of the worst episodes in a long time came right after last week's charmer. By all appearances, looks like Leonard really has no problem with the fact that "the baby always wins," and should really, really stop complaining about Sheldon. Meanwhile, Sheldon would be an insufferable, barely tolerable friend in real life, IMO. Only mystery remaining is to see if Raj will still be unlucky in love by the show's end, or if the writers will throw him (and the fans) a bone by finding him someone before the show wraps up. ETA: Nice to see Beth Behrs from 2 Broke Girls, but glad she won't be a regular. Her style of comedy doesn't really gel with BBT. Holding out hope that we'll see Yvette the Vet before it's all over. Maybe we Raj/Yvette shippers should start an online petition? -
So funny that this week's episode touched upon my question to the Board about which character had grown the most. Based on how quickly Eleanor tried to talk Chidi down after he "red-lighted" the phony scale, it has to be her. Btw, Michael, reformed demon or not, really does seem to like screwing with Chidi the most for some reason. The subtle, nuanced acting from Kristen Bell and Ted Danson has been a joy to behold. Ellie's sad expression after Chidi's "maybe we'll have real soulmates in the actual Good Place," was fantastic. If this show only lasts three seasons, I'm sadly ok with that. Difficult to sustain this kind of excellence for much longer than that, with some exceptions (Fraser, Mary Tyler Moore and All in the Family, to name a handful).

Absolutely. Reminds me of the earlier seasons before the show became so couples-focused. Since JG has said next season will probably be the last, I hope we get a lot more episodes like last night's before the finale.

Lloyd worked on Channel 9 here in the NYC area until the mid-to-late 90s, I think. Last I heard he was on some radio station in the LA area. His son George is in the weather business too.
-
As one of my favorite TV weathermen (Lloyd Lindsey Young) used to scream - "SCIENCE!" (My East Coast, tri-state area homies should get that reference).

Ironically enough, Michael may have shown more growth than any of the humans, with the possible exception of Eleanor. The fact that Ellie sent Mindy two satchel bags of coke plus Derek (and a "thank you" note) shows a thoughtfulness that she apparently never demonstrated on Earth. Question to the Forum - do you guys think anyone other than Eleanor and Michael have grown enough to get into the Good Place?
-
And he was silent as well. Methinks Michael knows that getting into the Good Place isn't going to be particularly easy. ETA - Chidi's slightly worried expression indicates that he might be worried about getting in as well. But then again Chidi always looks slightly worried.

That always bugged me about Anna - so-called super-spy that never seemed to have a "license to kill" the bad guys. Sean Donnelly and Frisco Jones back in the day ? There never seemed to have been a high-enough body count, to satisfy them, lol. I remember Frisco once telling Britt "I get paid to kill bad guys."

Well from the male perspective, I find Maura West smoking hot. Blond, voluptuous, with a smokey/whisper-y voice. Like a femme fatale from an old 50s movie.
-
Wanna hear something even crazier? JZ has been in the business so long she dated, and actually married, Murray the K (the so-called "Fifth Beatle") in her younger days.
-
If anything, her opponent will likely harp on Laura's history of mental instability, i.e., being institutionalized for long periods of time. That would certainly eliminate any candidate in the RW. But its more than likely Laura will wind up being the Mayor and I'm happy about that - time to see a Legacy Character play a major role on this show. Btw - Laura Collins - love the name, sounds like a Romance Novelist.
-
I remember reading an interview way back when - TG and KS agreed to exchange real punches during the big wedding throw-down scene between Luke and Scotty. One of them (Shriner I believe) ended up loosing a tooth in the exchange. Don't think today's crop of actors are willing to commit like that.

If being shallow was their only issue, you could possibly feel some compassion for them. With the exception of Portia (lost soul with low self-esteem seeking acceptance) these folks are rotten to the core. Drew and Dory were willing to ruin several people's lives to further their own agendas. Even Dory's casual lie about "Fat Frankie" gets a man killed. It took April all of one second to call Dory out on her destructive tendencies. Elliott is a manipulative, pathological liar who once played the sympathy card by lying about having Cancer. Chantal is just a self-absorbed, narcissistic, train-wreck who incredibly, comes out of all of this looking better than three of the four main protagonists.

Well one thing GH got right: if an election has been proven to have been tampered with, then the results should be considered invalid. Real world take note.

I had to chuckle when Michael asked why he's a Corinthos and not a Quartermaine. Actually Mikey, by lineage, you're a Q and a Spencer. With better writers, Michael could have been the most interesting character on the Soap canvas - combining Uncle Luke's love of adventure with Grandpa Edward's business acumen. He could have been a billionaire adventurer/playboy the way Jax once was when he was introduced. Instead we're stuck with droopy-face, sad-sack, lol.

I seem to remember old Scotty being a bit of a catch back in the day, lol.

There was a scene back in the 80s/90s glory days (Aztec Treasure S/L maybe?), Robert, Luke, Felicia, Frisco, Sean, Laura and Mariah (Felicia's Grand mother) all sitting around a long table, having breakfast and totally ad-libbing. To this day still some of the best acting I've seen on GH.
