It will give you a whole new set of quotes that no one will understand. Whenever a manager a work is acting like an ass and being unreasonable I will say, "this isn't Spain you know...." and no one EVER gets it. I sleep better at night knowing Kevin Smith would:-) Now you might as well. The NYTimes had a great series where they watched favorite movies with well known directors...I would love to have them do one with Mr. Sorkin.

I really need to encourage you to get your hands on A Man for All Seasons....one of my favorite movies of all time....the best description was from Kevin Smith (of Chasing Amy), it's porn for people who love words.

Vanessa Hudgens was in THIRTEEN with Evan Rachel Wood who played Hogan Cregg on The West Wing. My standard 6 degree...Paul Scofield to Rob Lowe.

The West Wing Season Three: Bad Moon Rising

"Crime, boy I don't know" is pretty close to a current candidates comments on mass shootings "stuff happens". -
I live near Southern Indiana and things did get easier when whoever fixed the problem...my understanding is areas go with the closest metro area...hence Gary follows Chicago. I do always get made at "Sorkin" during the episode where CJ is in Dayton and can't find a flight like Dayton is a one stop light town and doesn't have a decent sized airport and an Airforce base (so I am pretty sure if POTUS needs you from Dayton...he or maybe she gets you pretty quick), plus multiple other airports within an hour or so drive.

Have you ever been to that part of Indiana with the time change? It was a nightmare and crap like this would and did happen to people.

My memory is his brother told him and he leaked it. My impression was Wil and Kate ended up together and he was in Congress.

The West Wing Season One: Stuck in Neutral

I don't think they are actually allowed to ask questions like that or they claim not to..he wasn't listed as the author of the article....someone gave it to them under the table.. I think it was Nixon who put Warren on the court. People make all sorts of assumptions about issues. I worked for someone once who got taken into chambers by a judge...since he was a upper middle class white guy they didn't believe he was opposed to the death penalty (they thought he was just trying to get out of jury duty) he and the judge had a long conversation. Oddly he was willing to serve and didn't think it was fair to exclude him. -

I think of this at work a lot...I have a lot of clients who hug me....so it can get weirdly akward when I bring a senior executive with me and they are hoping they don't have to hug these strangers.... -

Is Albie the one who asked for Schwepps Biter Lemon? -
My crush or the inspiration? Both are Rahm(mmm). http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2009/02/bradley_whitford_on_playing_ra.html

It dovetails nicely with my semi political crush on Rahm Emmanuel:-)

S06.E06: Showdown in Chi-Town
SingleMaltBlonde replied to cooksdelight's topic in The Great Food Truck Race [V]
The same can be said for most of the shows on FoodTV. I can't even watch Cutthroat Kitchen or Chopped. I prefered when it was teams with an idea who wanted a food truck. Some of the challenges will just be for drama but some really test their cooking chops. At any given time they may only have 4 things on the menu (smart) but they need to rotate those items and roll with the punches....maybe if they are working an Oktoberfest or something. -

So unfair to make them cook to win.... -
I did a quick google on this and the AMA "suggests" a doctor not treat a family member but I don't think it's a law. A friend of mine was married to a pediatrician and I remember him writing her a perscription for antibiotics on a Saturday for a sinus infection. Now the writing the perscriptions for yourself and treating someone else is a big no no...

A President who didn't have a huge ego would be ridiculously unbelievable.

S06.E05: Roadside Attractions

This comment might get me in trouble....but here goes nothing. Was it last year the Hawaiian truck kept calling in the local Hawaiian community to support them and they came out? I think Waffle Love is doing it with the local Mormon community but they just keep calling it "social media". I don't mind ....I always thought the Hawaiian guys were smart. I have had these type of waffles (our local chain is owned by a hot Belgian guy) and they are good but people NOT familar at all are going to stand in line with 4 or 5 kids for over an hour without another reason (and drop $75 for a snack for kids). A few summers ago they had a booth in the downtown business district with a few other restaurant/food trucks...they never had that long of a line and they the guys selling the waffles were cute (and the girls were too). On another note...I would be shocked if they found pearl sugar in Sams or Costco....I use Swedish Pearl Sugar in a few recipes and I had to order in online for years until a gourmet grocery moved in. -
Q: Were they "Killer Bee's" or do you have to have an allergy? I wouldn't stay there...but a will call Hyperbole on the "Killer Bee's"

Why do I have to pick?

Thanks Barry...I really can't believe I don't remember...I have rewatched the entire series several times. In my world she knew. Not much got past Mrs. L.

S06.E04: High Steaks In Texas
SingleMaltBlonde replied to cooksdelight's topic in The Great Food Truck Race [V]
If I was reading our local food critic blog and they said the Great Food Truck Race was going to be near by I would go...spend my own money. I do think a bigger challenge would to be in our downtown area (or similar) and compete for the hungry lunch crowd. If "Dumplings" is out next week so am I. -
Was she alive during 17 people? Mrs. L? My issue when it all came out and the whole congressional hearings was when the President was shot she told the anesthesiologist about the MS and told him he could tell me whoever he wanted. Now as a doctor he couldn't but I always wondered why she didn't use that as a defense when Congress came calling.

S06.E02: Off-Road Eats in Arizona

I am old school...double boiler and I am convinced it would be better if I sprung for the copper bowl rather than using glass:-) -

I have had waffles like those (we have a local chain of restaurants that does them) and they are wonderful. I still don't like the waffle boys...they were kinda creepy when they were wandering trying to sell their rattlesnake benedict. But my biggest problem with them is they don't seem to actually cook (hollandaise in a blender?). The Spice Girls do seem to cook, but they do need to get off that cross...someone could use the wood. I don't see how they keep winning. Even if it's a dessert I don't see lots of people dropping huge cash for the kids to eat a waffle, each. Our local waffle place took off because high school girls hung out at the original location to flirt with the cute Belgian guys who worked the stand. -
