  1. Also on most shows they seem to claim everything they eat is the single most fantastic food every cooked. I think the disclaimer usually says the producers have input...so they can keep around crazy or drama. I think like Tom on Top Chef, Bobby gets his way....I honestlly don't think Bobby has a thing for Ana, I think he's sick of personality winning over the food...and he loves Ana's food. I remember on Bobby's first show thinking he was a total D!@#.... I think Giada suffers from resting b!%@# face and must have been told to smile in her early days....or she doesn't know the difference between smiling and checking your teeth after eating spinach.
  2. You can buy DNA paternity kits at Walgreens...given how often all those guys are passed out drunk around the pool I don't think you have to sneak around to get any DNA. I understand Catherine not wanting Smurf near her daughter...I wouldn't trust her with a houseplant but I do agree that a 4 year old who live in southern California on the beach should know how to swim.
  3. What if Pope did have a relationship with his sister and she "left" him for Baz who would have also been Pope's friend...later Pope transfers his feeling to Catherine? Wanting to take something from Baz who he felt took something from him? Smurf has kept these boys from growing up...they are basically children. She keeps them amused with drugs and flaunting societal norms. Given Pope's mental health issues it's not hard to believe that his twin might have issues too beyond being raised by a sociopath (or whatever Smurf is), she could have started self medicating with heroin ending up addicted.
  4. The drug adict or the youngest gay brother?
  5. I have watched the first three episode of Animal Kingdom and I wouldn't expect it to end well for him here either. I didn't recognize him and am not 100% sure which brother he is???
  6. What did Aslaug do to Lagertha in the finale? I missed something.
  7. Dual. Even had she not been born in Israel (which is implied) her mother being Jewish means she is Jewish per doctrine and regardless of where she was born has the right of return and citizenship before the whole grandpa and mom were hero's in Mossad. I think if she maintains Israeli citizenship she will be required to serve in the military. If her father is a US citizen she is...I would suggest a Constitutional scholar to see she is eligible to be President. Tony said Kelev is Hebrew for Dog. Overall I will admit to wanting a cheesy Tony and Ziva off into the sunset so barring that I'll take a cute kid. I don't buy that she wouldn't tell him...they both had too many daddy issues for that. Law enforcement has high turnover, so I believe he would leave because he was a single father. Gibbs as the Energizer Bunny is a little harder to believe.
  8. I could imagine a man (or really a person) with no kid experience not knowing what to feed. Also movies tend to even show fathers with experience as idiots...like they can't figure out how a diaper works.
  9. Thanks, I really didn't know. I know the results are a crap shoot.
  10. I have wondered about DNA...is it like a stew while the components produce something different but the components are all still present or does your dna reflect the parts of what you got from each parent? I am 3/4 Norweigian and pretty much 1/4 Dutch....I look exactly like my Norwiegian father so I I wonder would my DNA reflect more of his side? I am torn on getting the test...mostly because I am pretty sure I will find out I am whiter and more boring than anyone thought possible. I have friends with kids who are doppelganger for one parent ... would their DNA reflect that?
  11. How did Chris Noth NOT KNOW he was Irish....he has spent most of his acting career playing Irish cops? I loved him as Big but he will always be Mike Logan to me:-) He went to a small liberal arts college (Marlboro) and Yale Drama. So while he's smart I can see him having practical gaps. The Protestant-Catholic wars make so little sense. It's not a bad chapter to forget about.
  12. I think she was excited someone survived. Not all families had that luck.
  13. I thought Molly was a little disconnected but I think being so famous so young impacts you. I didn't get the impression she cared about the royalty angle. At this point in history Scandanavian immigration was heavily favored (I say this as someone who benefitted from this) so it was easy to come over, especially farmers....farmers are always useful, especially farmers who could handle and Iowa/Nebraska/Minnesota weather. Once you have a bunch of single men you need some single women. Lutheran churches and groups like Sons of Norway helped new immigrants find jobs and spouses (again I benefitted from this). It would have been interesting to seeing more about how she came over but I have also learned how hard some of that is to find...still can't find my great grandmother immigration records.
  14. Maybe she's born with it or maybe it's Maybelline...or Neutrogena.
  15. I was shocked when she put his "Viking" bracelet at the feet of the Madonna. Ívarr hinn Beinlausi (or Ivar the Boneless) was the name my Grandmother always used for the "boogie man" whenever a door slams or something strange happens. Google Sami people....my family is way too Norweigian (bordering on translucent)...one niece looks nothing like either side but while doing some Norway research we discovered she looks Sami...so throwbacks happen. Do we really have to wait until Fall?
  16. There has been lots of chatter about the "non-standard" proclivities of the French...50 shades of Count Odo, the bi-sexual Emperor and the "Flowers in the Palace" siblings. It all has me thinking of a tangent an Economics professor of mine went in class about the French. The suggestion had been made that the French engaged in a broader range of sexual activities (frequently of the non procreative kind) that it impacted their birthrate (and their economy).
  17. Sign ups are online....as a rule I never believe anyone who says they don't watch TV...I am sure a friend or colleague told him to sign up. Given where he works his boss might have a publicist with connections.
  18. I don't think we can even blame this on history: Kosovo, Rwanda, Boko Harum, Daesh/Isis....all contemporary examples of rape used as a weapon.
  19. I didn't connect that this was the little girl...I thought it was the original Siggy washed up.... I doubt Gisla is going to be able to holdout. I thought they just didn't show it. I thought King Eckbert and his buddy from the crypt took out the ruling council. The similarity in body language between Ragnar and Bjorn was amazing.
  20. In a castle/palace? Right outside his bedroom? I don't see having too many guards....I also don't understand not locking the wacky girl up. Back in the day people were frequently pregnant after the honeymoon (remember little to no birth control). In the early 60's my mother wasn't pregnant after 6 months and the busy bodies in her small town were already wondering what was wrong....
  21. He told her while high. My question is how does the rest of Kattegatt NOT know. I think Odo was plotting and Roland and the Whipping Girl used it to their advantage (are those 2 married or siblings?). Odo deserved what he got but only an idiot (or a simpleton) is going to trust them.
  22. Am I the only one who thinks Yidu might be back next week,
