  1. The comedy rule of three is a real thing because when JP hit Ursula with that third, "disgraceful, vile and disgusting" I was cracking up. What a vindictive and odious nutter he his. Another hint to me that JP is bisexual: In his text to Donal in his attempt to out Ursula's affair he suggests that he and Donal go out for drinks. JP doesn't seem like anyone who pals around with people unless it's advantageous for him. There's no way that he would want to spend time with someone like Donal. I saw Barry Ward (the man Thomas called re: the post-mortem) in the credits and hoped that he was going to play a potential love interest of Eva. I completely forgot about Eva's coworker Gabriel and the prospect of their romance.
  2. Note where I wrote "playing Irish". If JP is supposed to be Irish than Claes is not even trying to put on an accent
  3. The only non-Irish cast member (playing Irish) is Anne-Marie Duff...though she has Irish parents.
  4. I will definitely stick with it for a few episodes but other than Paddy Considine and Rhys Ifans' acting this episode did nothing for me.
  5. Oh, definitely. From what Thomas has dropped about their father it seems their father wasn't on the up an up anyway so it's very likely if took on policies and would fight them to keep from paying them out or just rob Peter to pay Paul to pay out policies. Now Thomas is running the business and while he is definitely acting sketchy in regards to how he's acquiring information from Grace, he's not a total fraudster like their father. I think he's keeping everything in house and not having someone else investigate the claim because his intention is to find a reason to deny the claim no matter what. He can't risk an outside party coming in and saying it's a valid payout. Oh, definitely. Typically when there's porn playing underneath a scene you will hear a woman but throughout the whole scene it was just a guy/guys. I think maybe he and the neighbor played by Michael Smiley had a fling and that's why JP doesn't want Grace to engage with him and why he keeps telling the guy that he's not taking the boat out (maybe that's where they'd hook up). I also thought maybe JP had a fling with Becka which is why he was so quick to basically call her a slag to Grace and Eva and why Becka was crying at the funeral. I was so sure they were on their way to snatch her up when Eva got the text. I was disappointed in them that they didn't go to her.
  6. IMDB isn't great with crediting. It is indeed created by Horgan and she is one of the leads. I am looking forward to it as I am a fan of a lot of the cast like Anne-Marie Duff (Shameless (UK), Eve Hewson (The Knick, Behind Her Eyes), Brian Gleeson and Claes Bang.
  7. I'll definitely be watching but I really felt that S7 ended in a way that would be a perfect wrap-up for the series. I guess it will be interesting seeing Will as a husband and father. He certainly needs something to do. What I first loved about Will was that, unlike Sidney, he had a deeper inner life. I loved the insights we got about him as a youth, and his relationship with his parents. He also seemed more about his job than Sidney. Then the writers just turned him into a Sidney redux (minus the heavy drinking) with him running headlong into chasing romantic relationships.
  8. I like that Bear and Danny connected - it's something they both needed as I don't think either one has properly dealt with their grief over Daniel's death. Bear wants to escape, Danny closed himself off. By what Bear intimates and by Danny's own admission and by him giving up drinking, we can gather he wasn't a good father, but I don't rest Daniel's suicide on him. Mental illness / depression is real and there was a whole episode where we saw that Daniel was showing signs of both.
  9. Joey's The Prince was a more verbose Gogo Yubari from KILL BILL. I appreciated what she brought to the role. My only issue was that The Prince goes missing towards the big fight scenes only time to pop up at the end. They didn't know what to do with her in those spots.
  10. Available on VOD now.
  11. I really loved it. As much as I love Aidan Turner I never got into POLDARK so I was happy to watch him in another series. Very intriguing show. I called it CSI: ITALY. It's a very fitting show for the erudite Freddie Highmore to executive produce and costar in.
  12. I liked that in showing Jason as the "fun" parent who the kids really glommed onto, they haven't ignored Jason has his own issues like not wanting to open himself up to befriend other parents and the huge matter of him lying about his father loaning them the money to buy the flat. Wasn't quite keen on Karen's pregnancy plot-line but I do like how they dealt with how Nikki felt about it and her own sadness over she and Jason's inability to conceive. On a shallow note Rafe Spall, last season had noticeably gained weight but he's lost that Covid-19 (or 20) and is very lean again.
  13. I laughed in the episode they introduced Jean-Pierre and mentioned he boxes. Yes, we know Olivier's own boxing background because we saw the results when he beat the snot out of Gabriel Aubry. With S2 I wonder if they will get rid of Rhonda and/or Ainsley. They should create a new character with the personality of both because the show does not know what to do with them.
  14. Directed by stunt man turned director David Leitch (Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw), written by Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street: Part Two - 1978) adapted from the Japanese novel "MariaBeeetle" by author Kōtarō Isaka. This riotous film follows an assassin (Brad Pitt) aboard a train with his rivals. Film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Sandra Bullock, Logan Lerman, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Bad Bunny, Joey King and Karen Fukuhara.
  15. I heard it had a very positive test screening. I think this is one situation where the truth is being reported - it's the money. The same reason they scrapped THE WONDER TWINS and the Scooby Doo animated film. Discovery is in charge and they are really examining how they spend. I have a friend who does freelance work with WB and in April he was telling me how tight Discovery was being. It is a different culture at WB now. I find it outrageous to spend so much on a film and not do anything with it. Let's say post-production and marketing adds another 20 million (and that's a low estimate), so what - you have a 100 million dollar film that you can potentially make a profit on or you take a loss, but at least make that gamble. Just burning 80 million dollars is stupid. Fingers crossed for Blue Beetle. I think they feel more bullish on THE FLASH. At the very least if they don't want to put it in theaters, they could fob it off to HBO Max. But I would be very surprised if they don't do anything with it. I'm sure post on THE FLASH has been done for a while now. And if WB wants to venture into the multiverse theatrically, they need THE FLASH as the gateway.
  16. I have to say I'm very surprised it's underperforming because kids' films usually take the box office by a great amount. I am assuming (or making excuses) that many would rather wait for it to drop on HBO Max. I really liked it. Very cute and the humour wasn't too silly. There was also some very heartfelt moments carrying messages that I think is important for kids. I really enjoyed Kevin Hart in this
  17. They got Jacob Tremblay back as Damian just in time before his voice cracked. As someone who is a Dick Grayson hater, I love this incarnation of Nightwing.
  18. Evans is enjoyable in CELLULAR and plays a character similar to Lloyd in THE ICEMAN.
  19. Yeah. It's the exact candle Dr. Casey has her in office and Cobel didn't want to risk Mark getting sentimental and pulling it out of storage, lighting it and accessing memories of his outie's life and putting two and two together.
  20. AMC+ has the US broadcasting righta to GANGS OF LONDON and while Sky Atlantic categorized the series as having 10 episodes, AMC+ listed the first two episodes as one. Likely what AMC is doing in this situation.
  21. Is it possible that this films takes place post-Snap and into the afteath of the return? Ramonda says she "entire family" was gone yet we see Shuri in the trailer. Unless they just revealed Shuri dies in this, could it be this is towards the end of the Snap and the Shuri scenes are when she returns yet for some reason T'Challa doesn't return?
  22. Love the female rendition of Marley's "No Woman No Cry" as the wistfulness cements the tone of the trailer and what we can expect (also as we're dealing with a female fronted film with Ramonda in power, it's a great allusion to her loss). Then the segue into Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" makes it stirring and brings the power his music brought to the first one. Full on powerful.
  23. I attended a few NBC/Universal/Peacock events this Emmy FYC season and while they did hold a RUTHERFORD FALLS panel at the Academy, NBC didn't give it the push and promotion it deserves and needs. At the Peacock pop-up they promoted virtually every other show on the streamer notably BEL-AIR,ANGELYNE, KILLING IT, and WOLF LIKE ME. At their NBCU FYC House they promoted GIRLS 5 EVA (they even hired skywriters to fly across the city for that), a huge push for DR. DEATH and other Universal fare and even AMERICAN AUTO - a show I never heard of until I attended the panel. Nothing about RUTHERFORD FALLS
