  1. Except as I said, those aren't the only places that offer vaccinations. Grocery stores offer them, there have been vaccination centers in parking lots, drive by vaccinations, large venues like convention centers, etc. They have bent over backwards to make them as accessible as they possibly could.
  2. I am so sorry for your loss and for what you are going through now. Fighting with bureaucracy at any level is a special hell.
  3. What is wrong with it? Funeral costs, medical bills, debts, etc ARE final expenses. They may not include just funeral costs.
  4. There is nothing unsanitary about that. I thought maybe posters were referring to dipping, eating off the fork and dipping again. I think the way they actually do it, as you said, with plates and utensils, is much more civilized and much less messy.
  5. Hi Janie! I have shared food with friends from one dish, with each of us having our own utensils. Not a problem. I have never had fondue so don't know the proper etiquette for dipping and eating but I would think you would dip only what you can eat in one bite, unless you are the only one eating.
  6. I agree. I thought it was odd that she said that. Personal preferences should not enter into it, but everything judged on its own merits. Also looking at you, Duff, with the cupcake thing.
  7. There are devices for that so that you don't need to be holding or looking at your phone while you are driving. There is nothing a phone can do that is worth risking people's lives, no matter how "convenient" they are.
  8. Yeah, I read Sandra's bio again and read that they lived in Germany until Sandra was 12, and performed in their mother's operas at times, in Germany, as children. German might have even been their first language. I didn't know how Gesine was pronounced as seem to always miss her introductions.
  9. Unbelievably, I just figured this out tonight! I knew Sandra has a sister named Gesine, which I thought was such an unusual name, and that her mother's name was Helga. I knew nothing more about her sister except that she worked in Sandra's production company. Then tonight, Gesine, what? Another one with that name? spoke of her mother, Helga, and slowly the light went on! I had to Google her to find out what she is doing in professional baking. And for my 2 cents, I like Carla but have never liked Jason's cornpone schtick. It makes him sound very uneducated.
  10. There are a couple of ads that are starting technology to "warn" drivers to stop texting and taking selfies while driving. I think that is every kind of wrong. The law needs to get alot tougher on drivers who have their phones on when they cause accidents, including taking licenses, and jail time if they cause injury/fatalities. That will teach kids to pay attention when they are driving, and not depend on some technology.
  11. I hadn't thought of this good point. Are there scoopers that do that?
  12. I am surprised I missed all of these! It has been a long time since I have seen the Sopranos but I remember what all of the main characters look like. Uncle Junior, Artie, his wife, Big Pussy and even Michael Imperioli, missed them. Some of the others on the list I didn't remember were on the Sopranos.
  13. That's great. I absolutely disagree that they would take a bullet for each other, or that they really like each other, but people's opinions are their own.
  14. You hit the operative word with "friends." Anthony is not Danny's friend, he is his sister's work partner. He deserves to be treated with respect just like any other person. He dislikes Anthony because he can't dominate him.
  15. Yeah, Lorraine Bracco was the mayor for a short time, and John Turturro is Aida's (Janice) cousin, though I don't think he was in the Sopranos himself. I am trying to think of who else they have had on.
  16. Why do you love Danny being a total jerk every time he sees Anthony, who has done nothing to him?
  17. Not only that but well off people often relied on nannies, governesses and boarding schools to raise their own children, let alone other people's. They thought they were were doing their duty to house and feed the evacuees, and often, that is all they did.
  18. I love this show, and thought the cancellation among vast cliffhangers was every kind of wrong. I could talk and talk about all the characters but maybe this thread is kind of done. I have to say that many of the posts had me howling laughing!! I agree that barring a particularly nasty and imaginative end for Bob, like smearing him with honey and tying him to an anthill, or something like that, his just being on the business end of that downed plane would have fixed him up good and proper. I did NOT want Teresa to marry Nick, but feel that she was still hurting over losing Connie and Alison took advantage of that and kept pushing her to be a "normal" person. I don't think Nick is being used because he doesn't love Teresa, he barely knows her, and who knows what his reason is. Also, no one knows whether Teresa would cheat on him, even though she is lesbian. She could just have a "nice, friendly, unfulfilled, NORMAL life." What joy.
  19. I have seen Danny walk into Erin's office often, and immediately start harassing Anthony. He dislikes Anthony, or anyone he can't control or dominate. Every single time Erin tells the two of them to stop arguing. WHY doesn't she tell DANNY to treat Anthony with respect, especially in his own office? Then Danny throwing a tantrum at Sunday dinner because he didn't get his way. I loathe Danny, and he is the worst hot dog, my way, period, kind of cop. His pulling Baez off the phone while she was talking to the victim's mother and says "what HE is doing is important." He also brought Baez leftovers and apologized for leaving her at the precinct. He never cared that Jackie was there working while he was at dinner, or brought her leftovers. It looks like Jamie and Eddie arguing at the precinct is going to be a weekly thing. She seems to have little clue as to what is appropriate there. They need to stop working together. The whole bit with Garrett and Frank was pointless and silly.
  20. I know that there is a replacement show currently on. I only saw part of the ad but I saw SBC, Nancy, Lorraine, a different host and a date. Sorry if I am mistaken.
  21. I think the new season is starting soon, with a different host. I can't recall if he was on an earlier season. I regret to say that Nancy is back, and Lorraine, ☹️ but I didn't see Duff.
  22. EXACTLY! It is a crime to have to pay big bucks for cable and then they come out with more and more new shows that they want you to pay even more for. I like Alton but this is totally the wrong move. I always wonder how he figures scoopers, or "dishers," aren't unitaskers. They can only do one thing.
