HBO has dozens of episodes to make and air. And presumably GRRM had many books to write and sell so the war was not going to be prevented. She could have killed Amond for stealing her daughter's dragon, which should have gone to one of her grand daughters. It's conceivable that Raynys will warn Raynera and Damon that the Greens coming for them but maybe want to remain neutral. Yet she did agree to marry her granddaughters to Raynera's sons so future mother in law can't pretend to be Switzerland, can she? Well she's an old woman so she can plead that her sciatica is acting up when it's time to go to war.

Taylor crying over Shep or worried she might be off the show now? Is she going to have to pretend to sleeping with some other cast member now? How about they mix it up, concoct a plot about Taylor dating Olivia or Naomi next season? Bravo must have had some gay relationships among all these reality shows? Or they‘ve had gay cast members but they’re single so they can act out and play out a sterotype? They could troll the guys, Shep and Austen and Craig drove these women into lesbian relationships.😄

Season 2 officially renewed along with BDM and BDSY. next seasons will air in 2023. looks like they plan to have two BD shows airing simultaneously, one on Bravo and one on Peacock. Seasons won’t be exactly simultaneous, but overlap a lot.

Yeah that DVD alone isn't evidence. There would have to be physical evidence, like Grace's DNA on the corpse or the shirt she used to strangle him would have to show his skin cells or something. Well I don't know if Irish law has similar standards on circumstantial vs. physical evidence or innocent until proven guilty standard. I also agree, the Claffin business should be bankrupt, if their father just spent the premiums instead of getting a commission while the premiums went to the insurance company. Someone else will eventually make a claim and they will have the same problem again. But they probably don't want to delve into the business.

In the latest episode, Earn proposed that they pay $10,000 each for sneakers rather than kiss to get the sneakers.

There were definitely more funny moments than other Atlanta episodes. But it got serious real quick. Hard to believe no one other than the shoe guy got shot in the mall shooting spree. And nobody making a big deal out of it? Not only Al but Earn and Darius could have been shot like the shoe guy. Is this suppose to be normal for Atlanta, shootouts in the mall? No PTSD, just them talking about the bad track Paper Boi had to lay down? They set up the aspiring rapper plot just so Al could push him through some plate glass? I thought I saw him get bloodied. BTW, he's Hispanic but his black co-workers were all calling him n---a? There was some social commentary with Earn talking about black men making too big a deal out of sneakers. Seemed like he was going to draw a line but he went through with it anyways, because they negotiated down from 2 minutes to 3 seconds. The shoe guy wanting two strangers to kiss a real thing or just some Atlanta strangeness? Also satire with Earn questioning why Alfred was watching the news when he just needed to watch TMZ or look at some Twitter. Al telling Darius he isn't going to cut the cord or go off the grid because he's rich.

The vaccine did slow down transmission until Delta and Omicron variants. It didn't necessarily prevent breakthrough infections with the alpha and older strains. But the neutralizing antibody response meant that when people with breakthrough infections shed virus, they were coated with antibodies so they shed a lot of "nonviable" viruses. Then of course, around the world, not enough was done to prevent transmission, so the virus kept mutating. Remember in the spring of 2021, as India gave the world Delta, you had pictures of people crowding along the Ganges. It was outside but they were right up against each other and in some other parts of the country, there were similar crowding events. They had low vaccination rates and didn't have access to MRNA vaccines. Then when they had their big surges, they were running out of oxygen and they were going around hoarding oxygen tanks. People were driving from hospital to hospital to get their relatives admitted. They cremated so many people that they ran low on wood. The worst part of all this is that not enough is known about long covid. People may not die in the first couple of weeks after infection but many probably have diminished health for weeks or months or years afterwards. So to pretend like we're over it and now Bill wants to go on a "I told you so" victory tour, even though he has very unearned sense of vindication on this subject.

Earn has money to burn on hiring actors to ruin that TSA woman's life. As Al said, Earn has made so much money from managing Al's career that Earn could go to therapy. So she doesn't want any of his money for their daughter's welfare? But they've hinted that she's generally suffering from some malaise. So she quit her job to go to Europe and haven't worked since? That does make it a tougher ask, if she's not even working, to ask Earn for some help. It could be worst, she could take him to court. Whatever the reasons, she doesn't have money to take care of her child but he does. It's perfectly valid for her not to take certain jobs that she doesn't believe in. Or to use her daughter to make some income. But would she ask him for help if they're going hungry or are on the verge of being homeless?

More BS, they cite the Great Barrington Declaration and Sweden. First of all, the notion of herd immunity is thoroughly discredited for covid. People are getting reinfected multiple times so allowing it to spread was a horrible idea. Sweden has much higher cumulative deaths than surrounding nations with similar demographics and population density. Tyson wasn't strong enough on denouncing Bill's crackpot ideas. It would have been worth to let children spread. Countries which opened the schools saw surges in cases. Deaths and cases could have been a lot worse and in the US, deaths are a LOT worse than a country like Japan, which has a huge elderly population and high population density in big cities. They masked, kept distance, avoided crowed situations and they got vaccinated and boosted at much higher rates than the US> So much nonsense. What the supposed declines in learning is worse than even more people dying? How would more kids seeing their parents die be a better outcome? Then New Rules. Bill is saying Republicans support shitty candidates like Herschel Walker because the liberal wokeness is so bad that they'd rather support bad people. What a crock, their history is littered with shitty figures like McCarthy. Where was the wokeness when they backed people like Nixon and Bush? Or Palin or Quayle? Completely unqualified people, but they didn't care, they could recite their own horrible dog whistles. David Duke ran as a Republican, you twat. Right, they're justified in running a bipolar, lying POS like Walker because what, liberals supported LGBTQ? Because that is one of their biggest complaints, gay marriage. It wasn't long ago that they were claiming homosexuals were turning children and they shouldn't be allowed to adopt. In fact just this year they were spreading that grooming BS. Bill so butthurt because young audiences won't laugh or actually have the gall to groan at some of this bad jokes. Like that justifies laws like Don't Say Gay and accusing people of being pedophiles.

Horgan said she wouldn't rule out a second season. https://decider.com/2022/10/14/will-there-be-bad-sisters-season-2-apple-tv-sharon-horgan-interview/ If Apple threw her a lot of money, she might be tempted. It would be a Big Little Lies situation, it seems, if she and the cast wanted a big payday.

There's a legend that when men are hung by the neck, they get an erection as they die. But they certainly didn't refer to it. Maybe the erection was meant to be a sight gage in the pilot and not much more.

House Hunters International - General Discussion

My Tivo recorded two episodes as new, London and Germany, and I don't recall seeing them before. My Xfinitiy cloud DVR recorded 2 additional shows this week but they have generic descriptions, like Episode 8 but I haven't watched them yet. London, shocked at how expensive Hamstead Heath was, being so far from the river. I thought North London had more working class but I can see the appeal of Hamstead Village and Hamstead Heath, kind of like smaller town living but still near London. They had a nice healthy budget didn't they? My sense is the one who was going to London to support her wife and would be working from home all the time (and thus wanted a second bedroom with an office) is the one with greater income so she had to be made happy. The wife was really one of those Anglophiles, wanting scones with clotted cream and jam, talk about sugar and carb overload. If the one working remotely had to work Wisconsin hours, she'd have a lot of time during the day in London to explore. But she didn't express much desire to do so. Maybe she's only willing to live abroad for a year or two. On Germany, they went for space instead of location in the center. Shortage of 2 bedroom places in that city near Frankfurt but that one property with a big public garden in the first seemed like a big building for just one bedroom, though all the rooms were large. -
Well the final episode they stretched out the semifinal game so you knew they weren’t going to win. The Wembley game was also a letdown but 25,000 supporters went to London? Supposedly Wrexham has been in economic decline for decades. Someone has money. Jordan Davies is doing well as a footballer buT he grew up with a nanny? Poor Rob, he still hasn’t seen the club win a match when he attends. Was funny When Rob hugged Ryan before he hugged his wife Kaitlin. Team seemed pretty inconsistent and not so good defending. Their goal difference may not have been so good. That’s despite spending all the money on players. Will their best players, who had come down to the National League, stay another season or look to play for a club in more glamorous leagues? Also interesting to know that teams in tHe league above them not only Has greater revenues but potentially lower player payroll costs. Rob may not have movie star money like Ryan but hIs show has been on the air so long that he must be doing pretty well.

I’d not see them celebrating Ursula’s affair. They certainly aren’t encouraging her to continue. They’re all flawed in some way. But this show wasn’t about the affaIr. It was about dealing with a malignant person who psychologically tortured all of them and in The case of Grace raped her. It really got dark with the account of the rape and miscarriage. Eva seeing JP for what he is seemed so sudden, compared to the way she believed all the gaslighting. Also not believable that she could overpower and kill him. It’s one thing to shoot or maybe stab him as a crime of passion but to choke him for several seconds? Then she happens to watch a movie which depicts someone being choked to death? The DVD would be circumstantial evidence, not physical evidence like maybe the blue shirt having his skin cells or cloth fibers being found on his neck and body. Would also look suspicious for Grace to withdraw her claim out of the blue. But the Claffins would still be in trouble, if another insured whose policy was never underwritten by their father passed away and filed a claim. They seem relieved and happy that there isn’t some arrest or prosecution hanging over them. But still not clear what they’d do with the show if there are more seasons. Most major things are tied up neatly.

I think agin it’s nerves with her. She doesn’t handle the pressure that well. If not for her job and her saying a few BS motivational speaker things at the start of the season, people might be more sympathetic. Twins caught up to the brothers real fast. Not sure if they’re that good at navigation or there was some luck. No question both are performing well with the tasks though. They would do well in the final because you assume they’re observing details and logging things about the season they will have to reconstruct later. Other teams have shown themselves to be mostly competent but not really excelling. Things might get tighter as more bad teams are eliminated.
-
Why would they be on the same plane though, since they all come from different places. Maybe they had them come to some studios to shoot the talking heads and then had some charter to Buenos Aires?
-
Season 2 is coming on November 4. I am hoping they somehow level up, after the shutdowns during the pandemic, with better writing and directing. Like to see more progression than a whole season spent on trying to get to a place.

Reviews are poor so far. May check it out at least but it may be similar to Mosquito Coast, which wasn't good but offered gorgeous visuals in exotic places.

Yeah they didn't even make a deal out of it other than just announce it out of the blue. Why even introduce them, might as well edit them out since they never competed. So it's a mix of real couples, supposed buddies and seems like random pairings, like they wanted certain people on the show so they just paired them and conjured up some connection. I am not so sure Tori would have picked Devin and I would think Fessy and Kaycee might have chosen to be partners as well, even if their last partnership didn't work out. The Daily Challenge, anyone could have won it I suppose. I forget which team where the woman lost one of her bolas just as they were running towards the goal. But this whole rookies vs. vets thing seem engineered by the producers. They would have dominated with the numbers but with the 3 vet pairs coming, it probably gives the vets greater numbers. I don't know about Johnny thinking so strategically, throwing in a rookie team in there to try to throw off the scent. When it came down to the interrogations, they were pretty basic, like will you save us if we save you. It may all be moot and there isn't a rookie vs. vets thing. Some of the rookies are on their third season so who knows how the numbers will fall out. The elimination was great. I would love to play that real-life marble madness. Actually I think it's a table puzzle of some kind but not sure what they call it. Damn they had to pay someone to build those things. The twists were fun, with the daggers. The vets thought they were safe and then they had to beg the rookies to spare them. Glad to see Kailah go so we don't have to hear her annoying voice and witness some more of her unearned narcissism.

Not only that, the doctor works for University of Toronto but he has a Martha? I guess they decided to build a mini Gilead in Canada since June and Serena were going to be spending some time there. Then you have that dragon lady Alanis telling Serena, “fuck your feelings, you gonna get your ass married. That’s final, go to your room.” But Serena made some googley eyes at Wheeler and got him to let her go to watch the execution. I’d forgotten that Putnam had been horribly punished before. But a summary execution and some middle of the night proceeding to condemn him to death? What a fucked up place, if it’s that easy for rivals to kill a leader. But he had a way of annoying people, just like Spyros in Billions. How does Lawrence not only not get punished for helping June but still be part of the leadership? Yeah Serena was suffering a death of a thousand little cuts. That snotty Alanis talking down to her was the final straw. But it would be a leap if she thought she was striking a blow for woman’s rights or something.

There are no off hours as long as there are cameras around. It's a TV show, not representative of how charters are run. The crew are not plied with alcohol every time they are between charters nor are they compelled to attend these dinners IRL. So whatever they film is for the show and it's all fair game for the cast to make a big deal out of it, to make drama.

The Challenge in the Media: "The road to [fame] is straight and narrow."
aghst replied to Stinger97's topic in The Challenge
I wonder if they used the same place they used for Challenge USA. Both being filmed in Buenos Aires and both airing within a month or two of each other. Maybe TJ and the production crew just hung out and shot them back to back. Or not, maybe he wanted to get back home between the shooting of the seasons. But if he likes steaks, he could hang out and knock out two seasons in one trip. Maybe at most 3 months to shoot both shows? -
Looks like the cast members didn't really get to choose. Johnny make like Nany but doubtful she'd be his first choice for a partner. Same with Darrell being paired with Veronica or Jordan with Aneesa.
-
Courtney didn't even know what a narcissist was. I forget how Reid defined it but it wasn't accurate either. Don't get why she was so upset about it. She may be one of those people who needs to be liked by everyone and is always performing to get approval.

House Hunters International - General Discussion

Sounded like he sold some investment properties in Iowa so he was going to want to restore as much income as possible. But maybe they only come down for the winter and the rest of the time they're renting it. It's a common thing though, Americans and other wealthy people buying up properties in other countries. It's tough for locals who are priced out. Since it's still a fishing village, there must be neighborhoods for the workers. Or maybe they come over from another town or village. It's not a new phenomenon, there are resort areas along the coast built up for foreign visitors but the poor locals who do the work live in more impoverished areas. The visitors to these resorts rarely venture out beyond the resort so they don't see how the locals really live.
