  1. Still watching but kind of zoning out. Yeah too many showmances to believe this show. Many of the cast don't even live in the area, which was recently in some list as the best place to live in the country. Which is odd because when those Sarasota reporters did their podcasts, they said it's mostly a lot of older people with money living in the area.
  2. Thing is many of the episodes of Double Agents and I think the one before that as well were like 90 minutes or maybe even 2 hours? But the All-Star episodes were all 60 minutes. The other thing is they had a couple of episodes where they didn't have anything happen, no daily challenge or elimination. So there is definitely more filler in the Double Agents season. I guess if they could sell the ad time, it helps keep the show on the air?
  3. Guy in Dublin was going to work from home so why would he need to be in the city? In one of the scenes showing them doing something in their new city they were tasting microbrews. So if they did that regularly it would make sense to be in the city. But they didn’t talk about night life or entertainment. Didn’t talk about travel. Instead she kept talking about her cats — and one point said something like “since we don’t have kids.” Midlife crisis indeed. Though why would they agree to be cast in that light? Maybe it’s a good professional opportunity for him or maybe they wanted to get away from South Africa for whatever reason. Or maybe some family in Europe they wanted to be near. Just not convinced they wanted to change their life because of some restlessness which arose at middle age.
  4. Yes, every Sunday, 2 episodes. They've aired about 6 so far so maybe only like 4 or 6 left They all seem pre-pandemic, the realtors and hunters are keeping close together, not taking separate cars like in HHI. In fact in the Nice episode, Adrian rode up on a 4-person elevator with the couple! BTW, I still prefer the format of HHI better than ML, where the realtor is interacting with them throughout, rather than letting them go through the house and making their own observations. Of course I love the coastal settings in ML. I just returned from a trip to the South of France and a couple of days in Barcelona. The Mediterranean has this pure blue waters which is always entrancing. My return flight flew over the San Francisco Bay, which has mostly a brackish, unappealing brown color, at least in the southern part of the Bay. The deeper parts are a darker blue vs. the bright, aquamarine color of the Mediterranean, which seems to actually glow in bright sunlight. At least they're not pushing the same HHI tropes about city vs. suburbs, bars/restaurants vs. space, charm vs. modern, etc.
  5. What's worse, the 19 episode season -- which may include the reunion shows -- or the 10 episode All Star season? I guess they have to fill that slot for MTV, provide it enough programming. So are they still going to have to go to elimination at least once to be eligible for the Final? Will there be another fake elimination house? I don't think they ever combined the requirement to go into elimination with a second-chance for those eliminated to come back yet. They also haven't had a situation where some players last the whole game and can't get to elimination so they're eliminated right before going to the Final. That would be kind of fun to see. Imagine if those with skulls in Double Agents all colluded to keep CT out of elimination. Since he ended up winning maybe that kind of collusion will be more overt. With more rookies in the mix, the vets could struggle to maintain alliances. Smartest thing for rookies would be to try to eliminate vets early but they're going in cold so they aren't usually going to form a pact, though the rookie females in Double Agents kept it going pretty long.
  6. Sure, get the resort manager to address it but Rachel was annoyed that he kept bringing it up. That is when he wasn't asking her for a BJ or sex. She noted that he didn't pay for it so why is he letting it bother him to the point that he wasn't focusing on them. Was she convinced when he said they'd always be in love? This can't be the first thing that annoyed her about him, so how did they get together in the first place?
  7. Bravo can get ROII. Not Leonardo or JayZ. These "celebrities" just have a name and that's it, since their notoriety is derived from others, in this case his father. I guess they really wanted to be on TV, were willing to fly out to Croatia during a pandemic just to have a repeat appearance on TV for a 1 or 2-day charter? Come on, that's not a real charter guest. That is someone who wants to be on TV and is willing to show up when and where Bravo tells him to.
  8. I knew Lexie was going to be a problem. She's a former beauty queen, now reduced to serving food and cleaning toilets. I forget exactly what but something she said in the premiere and then the "coming this season" clips she seems to be really burning bridges with Katie. Which is stupid because Katie is playing a role. Presumably Lexie came on the show to get beyond the drudgery and anonymity of being a yacht charter stew. Does she think appearing the psycho bitch on TV is going to help her path to stardom? Maybe her father's death is making her this way but that list seems like it's been going for years, though who keeps paper and takes it with them everywhere? Why not use the phone at least? She says there are a lot of evil people in the pageant world and she seems intent on paying back all those people if and when she makes it. Yeah people holding lifelong grudges, planning retribution for years, that's not evil.
  9. Wow quick turnaround. Double Agents was December 2020 to April 2021. So they must have started filming while Double Agents was still airing, though would that have meant they filmed over the winter? Guess so, if they're airing the first ep in mid August. Or maybe they filmed in the spring. Wiki says Croatia so another country with minimal travel restrictions compared to other countries. That is where Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Mediterranean (now airing) were filmed. So this season 37 may have been filmed roughly the same time as BDM. Seems like the weather is warm enough for people to go into the water, though it gets windy at times. So maybe they will have more water activities whereas in Double Agents, they did one or two dailies in water and then the Final but you could tell the water was really cold. I'm hoping the major players from DA like CT were still able to do season 37.
  10. "Unstructured" reality? Are they kidding? All reality shows have writing credits don't they? So are there Emmies for writers on reality shows? What would be an example of a "structured" reality show? I doubt any reality show producer will just let the cast do whatever and cross their fingers that something interesting will happen. It costs money to film, to have the production crew working. They have to try to steer the cast towards certain things or else they risk getting a lot of footage which doesn't produce "good TV." We know reality shows, especially Bravo shows, have certain common elements, like verbal fights or fights that almost get physical, and they often involve romantic rivalries and such. That might have been the approach 30 years ago, let people interact and come what may, hope they get some interesting footage. Seems unlikely they will leave things to chance any more.
  11. I keep seeing the commercials which shows the BW hanging onto something while in free fall and she's looking to fight someone. I heard the scene described, she gives her parachute or whatever to her sister and decide to fight some big bad. We seen this in one of the Star Trek movies and some other movies as well. I would think the first instinct when you find yourself falling to a possible grisly death is to find a way to avoid the fate. Or be scared witless since that is the instinct most living things would have. But she's spoiling for a fight? These screenwriters man. It looks dramatic so they keep going to this trope. Two mortal enemies headed to death but they're going to try to kill each other first. Of course the good guy or girl wins and also survives.🙄
  12. Did they bond over antagonizing Katherine or something?
  13. Like I noted, nothing has changed and the earliest it would change is starting next year. Even that's not a certainty. So when the show was filmed, it's almost a year now. I'd be curious to see if that developer delayed construction or delayed marketing the properties, because he would be paying interest until he starts selling property and retiring some of his construction loans. So no, I don't think higher tax rates on high income people should make one bit of difference in real estate. And as I noted, people have made a ton of money in the stock market not only last year but this year so far. Probably way more than any additional taxes they might have to pay if they raised the tax rates.
  14. Yeah they're basically getting their investment back if they sell at full asking. It is a beautiful property but if city dwellers really move out there, they may be in for a bit of a shock at the maintenance and upkeep required. The grounds seemed like it would take a lot of work so they'd have to hire a gardener. Property prices are surging around the country. People are flush with cash. Savings rate last year was the highest of all time. Either people saved money not going out as much or commuting to the office or they banked some pandemic money. Or both, in addition to the stock market shooting way up and very low interest rates. But as noted above, high-end Manhattan property prices were on the decline before the pandemic started. Frederick cited 40k properties for sale in Manhattan? I can see why his sellers just wanted to move on, not tie up $6 million in that NYC property when they were living out in Palm Springs. Derek doesn't want any more kids. You can tell that he thinks two are enough demands on his time, because he doesn't just want to be a stay at home house parent. Ryan was cockblocked by that developer. Why would the presidential election affect the project? They've already sunk hundreds of millions into the project. There was talk of higher taxes on higher income earners but that will take at least a full year to enact. People buying expensive Manhattan real estate likely have equity portfolios, which have only grown during the pandemic and also the years before the pandemic. Grown by far more than any additional taxes they'd have to pay.
  15. They had fun with the snow tubing. Some of these activities they wouldn't do but probably had to for TV. Highlights of the basketball game was Vinny bragging about his skills and them showing a montage of bad missed shots and then Mike stuffing his face with pizza as soon as he subbed out. Vinny got more than he bargained for when he started the food fight. Main piece beats the side piece. I never noticed this coat with sentimental value for him. They all buy expensive cars with the TV money but he didn't upgrade his wardrobe? Sounds like the video wasn't that damning. So now they get a bet, the payoff will be another made-for-TV event.
  16. "The wrath of the Pratts" is a thing! Brody won't take sides because then he'll become the target. Spenser did admit he was drunk and feeling defensive, will always defend him and Heidi. Is it self-awareness or did that zen master really pull off his mojo? Kaitlyn says she doesn't care if Brody and Audrina hook up, only if they lie to her about it. Then talks about how great her new guy is, how he's the opposite of Brody, how they had real adult conversations for the first time in her life. Then in another TH, she says Audrina saw how Brody evaded responsibility when it came to marriage and parenthood with her, so if Audrina, a single mother, wants to purse that ... Yeah she doth protest too much about moving on and being over him. Hmm, Heidi and Spenser had to downsize their business. Still can't believe selling crystals is a thing. Did the show help them sell that garbage, from the notoriety? Or is the show their real income? Brandon trying to get his gf to move in, BORING. Why is a young and rich guy so obsessed with that? Is that the only story idea they could come up with for him?
  17. I didn't think missionaries got to have their own place. If they're young and they don't have any income, that would probably be the case but if they have a spouse who earns the income and happens to work in the missionary destination, I guess it could work but how typical would that be?
  18. Did Alex also get into a physical altercation on the show or was that one of his off-show stunts? I think Juliette would have to accumulate a lot of points for bad behavior, both on and off the show, for them to boot her out. She's involved in most of the drama. Remember Amanda attacked Chloe, broke her nose, though off camera, and they didn't boot her either.
  19. ? This is the first dedicated movie for SJ's character isn't it? They're not going to make more dedicated movies with that character? I haven't read all the comics, figured they created the character just to get SJ into the Avenger movies -- and was she in one of the Iron Man movies too? In the Avengers movies she seemed relatively mortal compared to the other heroes, with her little hand gun and acrobatic moves. In the trailers she seems more superhuman now.
  20. She doesn't seem like a missionary type. She wanted to decorate and wanted to be close to restaurants and shops. OTOH, I don't think they mentioned what she did. But she relented because of practical concerns about space. Husband knew exactly what he wanted.
  21. Hmm, throwing the drink and slapping Kelsey got Juliette kicked off the island. But is she off the show? I thought the whole island trip was set up by Sam but obviously, it was production that arranged for this trip and they're the ones who supposedly told her to leave. Since they showed a clip of her apparently partying after leaving the island, she's probably not off the show. Maybe they will show her new Range Rover but didn't she already have a Benz convertible of some kind? Cara you can tell is being forced to have these convos first with Kelsey and then with Garrett. She sounded awkward trying to talk to Kelsey. If not for the show, there's no reason for these two to talk to each other. Chelsea is coming back, so much for her moving on from the show.
  22. What did they say exactly? Katie seems even-keeled, on top of things. But you have to wonder about her liking Jack so much, though she seems to recognize that after the crush he's not really right for her.
  23. Pretty healthy budget for a first home in Perth. Compared to what they'd pay back in Houston. I think the Heritage home was a red herring too. You knew she was going to get her way, always the "you're going to spend most of the time in the home" or "you gave up your job to move here" rationale.
  24. Speaking of locations, it appears they're in Italy, some kind of village on the water, maybe Lake Como. It's in the "Official Tease" Hate to say it but the Roy children all look visibly older. Pandemic has not been good to them or it's been two long years, if not longer, since they filmed season 2. Ironically, Logan may not look too different.
