  1. The whole thing with pets and Fred marketing to pet owners because of a big terrace was obviously fake. Nobody is keeping an alpaca in Manhattan. They probably rented the animal from a company serving the film/TV industry and you had all these young prospective owners bringing their pets to scope out a $7 million property. Looked like casting. The Ansonia looked good but you had people with these dumb face shields, all for TV so their faces could be filmed. One of the appeals must be the location, just a couple of blocks from Central Park? It has a unique floor plan but some of these prospective buyers wanted to knock down walls and so forth.
  2. If he's really sold $4 billion worth of property in his career, he's got to be worth more than that, though I don't know how much of the 3% commission that his realty firm gets from typical sales. I wonder about him opening his own company though, that's a lot of salaries he's got to cover and apparently no agents from his previous employer joined him? How does it actually work though, he has a lot of clients, including repeat clients. Would they keep working with him or will his previous employer fight him legally to keep the clients? I guess it's not like a law firm where a "rainmaker" brings in clients who stick with him or her if the lawyer moves to different firms. I wonder if he parted in amicable terms. Thing that's striking is all the media production people he has. So selling high-end real estate is about marketing videos and social media, more than ever. I guess people watch those videos and presentations before they come and view the property? So obviously Ryan has a good media presence or at least he enjoys hamming it up. Tyler seems good too and Steve is probably doing a lot of it. Fred is also a ham. But with the real big deals that Fred and Ryan supposedly get, like whole buildings, I guess they don't have to convince the developers with videos but do they take responsibility for producing the videos of a luxury high-rise?
  3. Maybe Bravo is telling them not to say anything about the paternity until the reunion.
  4. So why not do this show? You could be a minor character like Caroline, who claims to be broke and homeless and they arrange some swank hotel suite for her? If they film there more than once, you know MTV is picking up the bill. But since Catelyn shot her down, maybe she won't be on the show any more. How about that scene where her father slut-shames her and she tells him BS (not abbreviated) and that's why she was homeless. Yeah I'm sure that's how it happened. They went back and got them to film it that way to fit the story. Then they throw this over the top baby announcement/gender reveal party. You know none of the cast paid for all that. Spencer with the $100 burritos, taking organic ingredients to a taco truck and having them make it for him.🙄 Again they happen to film it. You know it's as if it's a stunt for the camera.
  5. Daisy turned down Glen for the crossing and she announced she got a chief stew job at her previous boat. What is that about, maybe she's over with Bravo?
  6. From the aerial shots, you saw thin strip of white buildings between forest and coast so it's all jungle behind them and coast in the front? They ran just enough power along the coastal road to supply them? House maintenance must be brutal, between the coastal humidity and then the dampness of the jungle behind. Interesting that the husband referred to conflict leading to arguments and him having learned from past experience to avoid that. He's a former cop though so who knew he'd be a believer in conflict resolution? Seems like a lot of these house hunters who move to Mexico or Central America are from border states like TX or western states so they've been to these countries enough times that they know what they're getting into by moving there. Or they think they know. Seems like they were both really into turtles?
  7. Well that was something. Some kind of feminist revenge fantasy realized? Barbaric things were done to these women so they get to resort to barbarism themselves? June covered in Fred's blood smears her baby daughter with it. I am surprised, figured that Fred and Serena would last until the end of the series but really his story lines had gone stale for awhile now. It wasn't just that the women participated. They hung him on the wall and then sent his severed finger to Serena, who certainly deserves comeuppance, because she's now smug and very demanding, wanting to go see probably some palatial homes. That is like Ariya paying back Waldor Frey for the Red Wedding by feeding him his own sons. Or like the Romans salting Carthage. Yeah I don't get how Joseph and Nick trade 22 Handmaids for 1 commander and then turn him over to escaped Handmaids. Sure they both want to help June but aren't they under suspicion? This show is now all about mindfucking -- it was there in the beginning but it seems to be all that's left.
  8. It was Fortress Klis, overlooking Split, Croatia including the coastline. https://www.tvrdavaklis.com/?lang=en There isn't a restaurant up there so either they catered it or maybe the castle offered to rent it with catering arranged.
  9. They just trashed it the night before they left. Run all over the boat while dripping from the bubble bath hot tub, don't shower, jump straight into bed. And who cleaned up afterJL and Dani in the big cabin? They were the first ones to leave too. Either the cast didn't care a bit about Glen or the producers encouraged them and probably arranged for other cleaners to clean up after they left but before they sailed back towards Palma? Whatever it takes to facilitate drunken shenanigans to be captured on camera.🙄 Gives the lie to all the talk about professionalism and respecting the rank and all the customs and rules in the industry.
  10. I thought the one older trans woman had an interesting history, moved from TX to the Bay Area in the '70s or 80s. But in his earlier years, way back in the 60s or 70s, he just dressed up as a woman for her job but wasn't out about his status. Obviously it was much more difficult to do so back then.
  11. So 10 episodes but last one was reunion, so they can whip out these All-star seasons in a couple of weeks of shooting? while the regular season probably takes a month or two to shoot? After all they start with like 40 people, many of them from the UK. still TJ and crew are more busy if they keep filming both seasons and since All-Star is on a separate subscription service, they likely will keep it in production.
  12. James the realtor has done other Ireland episodes. But looks like they have someone else for Dublin. He has a cheeky sense of humor as I recall from the other episodes but in this one, the only comment I recall is when he was showing the Irish stove in the first house and said it's for making Irish stew, which around there (Ireland) they call "stew." 🙂 I went to Cork for a business trip which lasted a couple of weeks. Walked around the city which was fine but didn't get out into the countryside. Might have enjoyed it more had I did. This was before Game of Thrones made a lot of landmarks there famous. It was in the winter though, just before spring, so the weather wasn't the best, though it's not some sunny place, even though I think Cork is part of the Irish Riviera as they call it. Only thing I noticed was just about every day I was there, Paris was like 10 degrees warmer and sunnier. But now I want to see the hills and the coast line. Normal People was set in Ireland but they didn't show off the countryside.
  13. The woman may lose a million on that house including the decor she put in. But she didn’t seem too upset about it. Her husband got a job in FL so they probably can absorb that kind of hit. But I also wonder if the brokers are overplaying this supposed exodus to get sellers to lower prices so that they can make deals, because their incomes were hit and some deals are uncertain. Because high end real estate was already going down in Manhattan before the pandemic. That one property went from $22 million ask to $15 million sale so that’s a lot of margin they had to play with.
  14. OMG, worlds collide! Samantha is a guest on Rick Steve's podcast. https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/audio/radio
  15. The parade and the truck with the video wall were contrived by producers though there’s no doubt they all like Mike, were happy to surprise him. Jenny and Vinny said it best, he’s shown the growth they wish they showed themselves, to be better. That’s after a period when they didn’t like him, ghosted him. Then Snookie’s appearance, again timed to surprise the rest of them, genuine reactions from Jenny and Mike. It seems believable that if the show ended, several of them would be close and still spend time together. Angelinas marriage, don’t really care, guess the producers liked that it got some tabloid coverage. Now they have material because of Ronnie’s situation so they may not ban him too long.
  16. Is this the first time charter guests who were named in the pref sheet meeting didn't show up? Suggests that Bravo vetted them so they may appear on another BD show. They were from San Francisco, worked in tech. They probably have some backup guests, maybe even have them within a couple of hour flight, though it might be tough to do during these times. What are the odds they just happened to have people wiling to come on a TV show and get filmed? Unless this switch was planned all along? Because it appears the crew is making a big deal about having to serve other yachts.
  17. So are we going to post here based on the Peacock airing or the Bravo airing? Would be nice if they put any WWHL episodes about this BDM season on demand so you can find it. Sometimes the DVR will record it, sometimes it won't. If it doesn't, you can't watch it next day, they seem to show WWHL a couple of times and that's it.
  18. Ryan and Greenwald discuss the final 5th season (they also did a 3rd and 4th season discussion episode) and also interview the show's creator, Eric Rochant. https://www.theringer.com/2021/6/9/22526789/le-bureau-des-legendes-season-5-and-an-interview-with-creator-eric-rochant
  19. So the Christchurch couple chose the place with the weird bathroom set up, the water closet without the sink and the bath and shower downstairs? The lake property was nicer but too far away from the center. Actually the most beautiful part of the region is Lyttleton Harbour and Banks Peninsula area, which could look like something out of the LOTR movies. I like NZ but have never seen the LOTR movies.
  20. She's also dependent on reliable connections to the outside world so she moved to a small island and then to a remote part of that island. How reliable is electricity and Internet on the island? Maybe it was mainly about affordability compare to Italy which had been her base? If she wanted to find fresh air, there must be small towns or villages with little traffic. They must have some connections to the Azores because this is the second episode to feature what seems like a fairly remote place.
  21. They cast the crew who would party a lot more than the first season crew. Mission accomplished. The commercial they showed for the upcoming of BDM, they're all dancing and singing. The network must think this is what viewers want to see, people who like to live it up, mug for the cameras, etc. They may not be wrong, though curious to see what the ratings are compared to the first season.
  22. I can see Emilia's brother and sister, hanging around, eating their fancy food and expensive liquor, even if they're not sleeping over. Plus they probably have amenities like a comfortable lounge, big screen, maybe pool or some fancy roof deck, etc. Or maybe that's something out of a movie -- I never watched those My Fat Greek Wedding movies. BTW, does Emilia still practice law or whatever job she had a few seasons ago? Or maybe it isn't worth working any more for her.
  23. Pretty sure the Tyler vs. Kirsten thing is being played up for the cameras. There are always rivalries between cast members on Bravo shows. Who knew? You have to understand that Kirsten didn't just drop into his open house, either on that previous episode or this last episode. Producers call her in and they have her hair and make up done, they probably tell her where to walk and tell Tyler where to go greet her, because they have to set up cameras and lighting. All these cast members are having their hair and makeup done before they go on cameras. Every time.
  24. I think someone mentioned she was 36? Not the sharpest tool in the shed. But all these cast members were little more than high school graduates, if that? LC wanted to go to fashion school, couldn't hack it there but she has fashion lines and making big bucks. Similarly, Audrina started out as a receptionist and the producers of The Hills like her look they said so they put her on TV and she's had a couple of TV shows and now on this show again. Hell if this dries up, she could marry some rich pig (Rod Stewart's son!) and go on one of those Real Housewives show 10-20 years from now, though she has to sharpen her claws for Bravo. Edit: stupid auto correct.
