Jodie did a very extensive interview in New York this week. At about 28:13 she begins talking about Killing Eve, including her thoughts on the finale, for about 10 minutes.

I finally just changed my DVR recording to go 90 minutes over so I don't have to rely on On-Demand and their annoying commercials that you can't fast forward. While I did like this episode more than the last couple, I was still thoroughly confused by certain plot points. Or holes, as others have pointed out. I feel like the writers think they're smarter than they actually are.

That 2 second scene just hardened my hatred for Nate which was already off the charts. I don't care if you're Mother Theresa, if you can't even exhibit basic manners or common courtesy, you can get stuffed. God, I hate him!

Binged this over the weekend and absolutely LOVED it. I really hope this will come back for a second season. I love Kerry but the MVP here for me is 100% Delroy Lindo. I've seen him in probably 100 movies and tv shows but he is just so wildly charismatic in this role. I too hope he isn't forgotten come Emmy time. I particularly loved the evolution of his relationship with Finn. And little Paige is a star. I just love her.

The L Word: Generation Q in the Media
MicheleinPhilly replied to a topic in The L Word: Generation Q
I'm fine with this. I know there are many that have loved it and want it to continue, but I'm finally ready to say goodbye after almost 20 years. -
For her sake I certainly hope so! She is much too fabulous to be saddled with that prick in her head all of the time. This episode the show was back in form for me. But there are so many moving pieces, I wish they would slow down just a smidge. Let storylines and characters breathe a bit. I'm thrilled that Keeley finally put her foot down, however gingerly, with the CFO. I really do want her and her company to succeed and the stuff with Roy is really secondary for me. Although I've never been *THAT* emotionally invested in any of the romantic relationships on this show so that's me, not them. But I did love how invested the lads were in trying to comfort Roy. Zava is going to be an unmitigated disaster with this group. And I found it hard to believe that after 3 years, Ted still didn't know who he was.

I'm not going to lie - I screamed when Charlie's niece said she put a hot curler or roller in her doll's hair and they revealed what it was. I'm going to miss this show during hiatus.

It took 2 watches of this episode before I could get fully back on board. While there was plenty of story movement, it just didn't have any of those laugh out loud moments I've come to expect. Still hate Nate with the fire of a thousand suns and hope he dies miserable and alone. God, what a twat. I wish they hadn't taken the "Keeley is in charge and is now a basket case" route. Yes, starting a new business is a huge time commitment and is very stressful but they've always presented her as being pretty bad ass in her own right. I suspect some of it has to do with sadness over Roy but there is absolutely NO WAY she doesn't know what CFO stands for. I've now used "poop-eh" at least 6 times even when the sentence didn't call for it.

Does the show have a new writing team? I'm finding my mind wandering more and more with each episode. It sort of feels like they're treading water at this point. I didn't find "Roy's" story compelling AT ALL. π€·ββοΈ

Theatre Talk: In Our Own Little Corner

The NYT is reporting that this has been postponed indefinitely due to money woes. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/16/theater/room-postpones-broadway-adrienne-warren.html?searchResultPosition=1 -
I only turned the red carpet coverage on like 15-20 minutes before the show so only saw a couple of interviews but I was horrified when Ashley asked Austin something to the effect of "I was hoping to see you with arm candy. Where's so-and-so?" Like, what? How is that an appropriate question? I wish ABC would go back to having Robin Roberts on the carpet. I'd even endure Michael Strahan for a few hours if I had to.

Kudos to Leslie Odom, Jr. for actually getting me to hate him for a minute. NEVER thought that would happen!

π For me it felt like they were trying so very hard to be current and show the danger with social media and what public figures say and their influence (and co-sign whomever said there is no way a prosecutor would have brought charges about Brenda for what Tess did) and white, male privilege, etc. etc. But then they threw in a comic book villian ADA who implied that if she had slept with him before and was drunk, she wasn't raped. I know there are still sadly people who share these beliefs but literally every question out of his mouth felt like it was out of some 80s after school special.

Eh, once I actually read the article - thanks @NUguy514! - I wasn't really bothered by it. It's one of thousands of "think" pieces that have been written in the last 6 months and wasn't nearly as egregious as I thought it was. Was it a rule violation? I don't know, I guess. But as was stated, she deleted it quickly. And I find it hard to believe that many Oscar voters are taking their cues on who to vote for from Vogue magazine. At the end of the day, it's all a subjective choice. I'm happy for all of the winners and hope this leads to greater opportunities for them.

I hated this entire episode. I have recent experience with a loved one suffering cardiac arrest and being in a medically induced coma (they're fine now!) so that hit way too close to home. And Buck's miraculous recovery the second he was taken off the ventilator was laughable. Personal feelings aside, I just thought the whole thing was silly and I felt zero emotional resonance other than when JLH asked "Which one?" Overall I think it's just becoming a bit too soap opera-y for me. I did enjoy the Bobby/May discussion.

Werent't they just added somewhat recently? Is anyone really hankering for their return? π€·ββοΈ I'm trying to think of others that it could be but I can't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday so that's not going to be a particularly successful endeavor.

The only thing I can think of whenever Miles shows up is how similar he is physically to Detective Dante. Robin has a type! π

She did??? I'm happy for Michelle but that strikes me as a little bit gross particularly given, as you mentioned, that Cate was extremely gracious to her throughout the entire season. But who knows what I would do if I was nominated for an Oscar. π€·ββοΈ But what's really interesting to me is that there is all of this talk about "thirsty" campaigning in this thread and this is the first mention I've seen of this. I think. I'm old. I could have read it 2 days ago and forgotten already. π΅

Particularly given that if there is one chain that I just can NOT see Ms. Barbara enjoying (well maybe Hooters), it is Buffalo Wild Wings.
