I continue to watch TWD even though it is stupid and boring with terrible writing and acting a LOT of the time. I made it about halfway through this episode of FTWD and I am.... out. There is only so much stupid/boring/terrible I can take. And since the dead people aren't even interesting (flesh still steadfastly adhered to bones), there is really nothing to look at here.

Definitely was. AKC greyhounds have a completely different "look". That video package killed me, because his grey looked SO much like the one I had... they are AMAZING dogs, unlike any other breed. Although they are usually also good for people with allergies, I've become allergic even to them... No more pups for me. As for the fashion: Thought Ashley should have taken this one. And happy to see Joseph and his matronly fashions auf'd.

S22.E06: The Girl Who Gets Possessed

You're actually right about the photography (although it kills me to say it), and in fact she's better than this Eric Asla dude who is downright dreadful. -
S22.E06: The Girl Who Gets Possessed

This show. At least when Mr. J was doing the creative direction on the shoots they were oddball but interesting (and things that you might see in real editorials), and the photographers were good (except of course for Tyra who fancies herself not simply a model and a 'brand' but also a photographer AND an art director who is capable of reviewing the film and picking 'your best shot'. I wonder if she also functions as her own lawyer, doctor and oral surgeon?) The shenanigans are so obvious now, when her picks for 'best shot' are so obviously NOT...or in Hadassah's case, one where you can't see her face. I thought THAT was why she was crying. "Here's your best shot: the one where we can't actually see you." -
It is SO disgusting that I say, out loud in the announcer's voice, 'Previously on PIG Brother' every time I watch.

Ugh, I didn't need Liz to 'confess' about Austin's lack of makeout skills... I knew already because I have eyes. Gross!! He reminds me of Brad the Bad Kisser from Sex and the City. So let's see... he smells, he is a terrible kisser, he has a ponytail beard... mmmmmm what a catch!

That was exactly what I said, and I was shocked that none of the judges mentioned Grace Kelly.

The only truly funny part of the Grandma Meg package was seeing a bottle of Benefiber on her bedside table.

S22.E03: The Guy Who Gets Shipped Out
panthergirl13 replied to OnceSane's topic in America's Next Top Model [V]
"This episode has me seriously bleeding from my wherever, so let's get to the power rankings and put this nonsense to bed." Pffffft. And if Tyra is so upset about these guys making "10% of what the women earn" then she should simply teach them to go into, oh, ANY other career? -
S01.E06: 40 Days Death March
panthergirl13 replied to cherbitrary's topic in Naked And Afraid XL [V]
No, I was being serious. It did occur to me that it might be in a tree or something, but honestly.... the fact that NO ONE gets attacked by an animal, bitten by a snake, eaten by a cayman when swimming in "cayman infested waters" just makes the show seem like a whole lot of shenanigans to me. The 'electric shocks' seemed so fake too. When you are seriously shocked, you lose your breath and can even be knocked out (I've been struck by lightning and literally did air time). -

That doesn't explain the shots of the three guys sleeping and the cat sniffing around camp, clearly taken from a distance. Shenanigans, again. -

I'm pretty sure Bello said that Devon was crying just "for retention". Best. Malapropism. Ever. -

What a relief, because I'm going to motherfucking Malta in October. -
S11.E12: The Final Rose / S11.E13: After The Final Rose

And here I thought we'd get through a whole season without someone saying "Kaitlyn and I's relationship". Bachelor/ette, you never disappoint. -
Which Other Reality Shows Should Get The UnREAL Treatment?
panthergirl13 replied to Primetimer's topic in UnREAL [V]
Oh this is an easy one.... Biiiiiiiiiig Brother, for sure. There's plenty of producer manipulation in the diary room, in challenge practices, etc. so I think it would be great. When you said this show is "fixable" at first I thought you meant "made better" until I realized what you actually meant. Both of those are so true. I'm so nostalgic for the days of unscripted DR sessions... -
Brain Bleed: The Shows We Hate & The Reasons We Hate Them
panthergirl13 replied to SPLAIN's topic in Everything Else TV
Criminal Minds and pretty much any other CBS procedural. My sister loves this stuff and has told me I *have* to watch it because I like dark, gritty stuff on cable. I got through about 15 minutes of CM and that was enough for me. Everybody Loves Raymond is another one she lurrrrrves and I won't watch. But I do have a funny ELR story: a few years back I was planning a trip to Italy with my boyfriend who was just 'meh' about the whole thing. I complained to my sister that I wanted him to be more into it, and was worried the trip would be a disaster. She said "Oh no... there's an episode of 'Raymond' where that happens and when they all get to Italy he loves it!!" Fast forward 2 months and we are in Positano. I turn around and who is standing next to me? Ray Romano. No shit. -
S07.E16: Awfully Charitable

I don't know where in Greenwich she was from, but contrary to popular belief there are some decidedly middle-class sections of Greenwich. If they worked at the Caldor there, it was not located in "back country" where the rich folk live. -

I would have enjoyed the Dorinda/Carole conversation a lot more if Dorinda wasn't interrupting her every five seconds. Let the woman finish her damned sentence already! I will never not marvel at any so-called-professional therapist doing an on camera session. But I did love Bethenny asking him "How did that make you feel?" at one point. I realize she's polarizing, but I get a huge kick out of her. -

I'm old and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing hosiery other than tights in fall/winter. I guess I should put that in my will, so I'm not literally 'caught dead' wearing them. [snort] -
Although I'm enjoying the show overall, a LOT of the acting is rough for me to watch. Even the seasoned people like Craig Bierko and Constance Zimmer seem wooden at times, which probably points to writing/directing since we know they have the chops. The actress playing Rachel seems ok but maybe because 'flatness' is part of the character it isn't so noticeable? I've just watched up to this point... hoping things pick up a bit. Oh, and in the Suspend Disbelief Department: when you take psychotropic drugs you would notice RIGHT AWAY if you were taking probiotics instead. I've described being off meds as feeling like you're wearing someone else's glasses. (it's different if you haven't BEEN on meds and you're manic... then you just think you are the happiest person on earth and can't figure out why other people are concerned about your safety.)

Is it me, or does Shawn refer to her as Kaylin? Maybe he just can't remember names and, left to his own devices, he might start calling her "the other person who is not a guy". I think what I "love" most is that although the B'ette gets to pick the final guy, she doesn't get to propose. "I pick you.... now ask me to marry you and see if I will say yes!!" Ooooh the suspense is killing me!!

If I hear another "make-een' or 'walk-een' I think I'll shove some Irish knitting needles in my ears. WHO TALKS LIKE THAT???
-
I love how they show all those ass-kissing tweets, not noticing that one of them was from "Shirtless Condum".

Marry me.

The one I find myself actually SINGING from the late '70s in NYC... I can't figure out how to embed it other than with just the link, but it's soooo good. http://datab.us/uX_YJP0YaGs#Plato's Retreat
