  1. Ha! "Shut up, Vanessa Redgrave!" https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152861114047832&pnref=story
  2. When they came up with that Merica thing, I added that to the list of reasons I could never go on this show (a very long list, but living with morons for a month is way up there). What I miss from the early seasons is the actual "Survivor" aspect of the show. Living in a dangerous environment, being terrified of animals and bugs in the night...the genuinely scary aspect of being in a harsh environment while still attempting to do challenges and run a social game. Jellyfish stings? Hell, they could save a lot of money and just film it on the Jersey Shore.
  3. I hadn't read the article, but I thought the same thing...that the guy probably didn't say "she isn't sick" just that she may not have Lyme. I posted about this in the Yo thread, but I was nearly killed dead by treatment for Lyme in 2010... it turns out I never had it at all (which is why the first three rounds of oral antibiotics didn't work...duh) but instead what I was showing were signs of early onset Parkinson's Disease. (it was not alternative treatments that put me in the hospital for a month...it was IV antibiotics). It freaks me out to see what she may be doing to herself... she is definitely sick, it's just not clear whether it's the illness or the treatment that is doing her the most harm.
  4. This time with a picture of Dr. Franff (Brandi's muse):
  5. Of course you're right... I was being overly optimistic. She looks like Dr. Franff. I wanted Lisa to get up and slap her just to see her cheek cave in.
  6. Well, it looks like most of the really good stuff (except for the tampon string) won't come until part 2. Or 4. Or however many they've got planned. (who am I kidding? I'd watch 6)
  7. I give Brandi 2 years before she turns into Jocelyn Wildenstein.
  8. Well Dan and the rest of these bozos are from Uranus.
  9. I said it in the couples thread and I'll say it again here: Nadine has married her gay twin brother. Seriously, they look EXACTLY alike (with the exception of his beard. DOH!!)
  10. OK, is it just me or did this woman marry her gay twin brother?
  11. Not to mention the heavy-handed "Sure....it's ok to kill a BAYBAY but you hesitate to kill a BAMBAY and then EAT it?? You hypocrite!" I also could not stand the whole "Peter loses Alicia the election! Peter wins Alicia the election!" stuff. I don't recognize this show anymore.
  12. Also in the US they'd never let her sit in a tub after her water had broken (in a hospital, I mean). Of everything I am hating about this show right now, I did love the birthing part because that used to be my sideline job. (helping other women give birth...I'm not a Duggar or anything)
  13. Blech, this was unwatchable. The courtroom scenes are LOL ridiculous. No objections? Aside from "Relevance" how about "Non-responsive"! And what happened to pre-trial discovery? I feel like I've been thrown back to Perry Mason days with one aha moment after another. So absurd. Without spoilers, if someone who has watched the whole season can just say whether it's worth sticking it out that would be great. Otherwise I think I'm out. Really a shame, because as others have said...S1 was excellent.
  14. PFFFFT!!! Perfect.
  15. Wow, today's show was awful. (not sure what the rules are here since it airs at all different times in different markets) Low scoring, lots of mistakes and/or no responses. Hate those kinds of games.
  16. What I found really off-putting were the talking heads staring straight into the camera. That was really bizarre. Durst looked PARTICULARLY nutso in those police car shots from NOLA...wow. One disappointing thing that was said (aside from the fact that he'll probably skate again) is that the trial won't happen for quite some time (seeing Titus at the library on Kimmie Schmidt made me laugh out loud, because that would be me if I didn't have wi-fi at home)
  17. And if your first name is Kathleen you're pretty doomed as well. When I was a kid (a weird one, OK??) I used to collect news clippings about serial killers or murderers with the name Wayne or Lee or any combination. (which is also why I LOL'd at the name of the Reverend on Kimmie Schmidt!). There are a TON. And what's really funny is that one NY Times clipping was about a study on serial killers, conducted by WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY. Score.
  18. Thanks for saving me the typing. Frankly, I'm pretty shocked that the NYPD detective agreed to be interviewed for the Dateline piece (is there another thread for that? I should go look). That guy could be responsible for several other deaths because of his shoddy police work. I'm surprised he'd show his face, especially in anything connected to the Kathie Durst case.
  19. Tara HAD to know about the Jenji Kohan Salem Witch Trials project, right? That couldn't have just been a good guess: http://themuse.jezebel.com/jenji-kohans-salem-witch-trial-show-is-shaping-up-to-be-1692014708
  20. I know Sarah lives in Brooklyn, but I really hope she lives in BENSONhurst.
  21. Honestly? I came to the forum specifically to bitch about her acting. I just listened to the podcast where VG was waxing poetic about her and I thought, "Seriously?" I was so distracted by the disparity between her skills and Jonathan Banks' that I felt sorry for him as an actor which in turn took away from my ability to focus on the scene. I think we get so spoiled by seeing great acting MOST of the time that bad acting really sticks out. This show seems to employ more 2nd rate talent than BB did. (the Philadelphia cops were absolutely painful to watch, but at least they were dead soon.) While I'm here, I'll just add that while I did listen to every BB Insider Podcast and will continue to do so with BCS, all the back-slapping really gets to me. Contrast that with the Slate podcast for The Americans, where they've got the showrunner and one actor (or last week Noah Emmerich as an actor and director) and none of the "wunnerful, wunnerful" stuff. A lot more interesting and easier to take (although Keri Russell is way more of an annoying loudmouth than I would have imagined. /OT)
  22. Know who I wouldn't want to be tonight? That retired NYPD detective who thought Kathy Durst just "ran away".
  23. Holy fuck. I still can't breathe after that.
  24. NYC Cat people can go here: http://www.meowparlour.com/ I would personally succumb to a fatal asthma attack, which was all I could think about when they got that task (my second thought was: "how is this a task?")
