I flew to England Friday/Saturday. DD picked me up at LHR. Now we’re on the ferry crossing the English Channel. On our way to Disneyland Paris. My granddaughter will perform in a show and be in a parade there!

I disagree with the review. I don't watch CPD for the relationships as much as for the cases and police work. I thought this was a good episode. The only thing I'd want changed is for Burgess to say, Nope, can't do that, but I'll turn it in by end of day tomorrow. She's headed for some serious burnout, but her taking some time with Ruzek is a good move.

I enjoyed this episode. It had enough suspense to keep me interested. I loved Hondo and his little "sister." They sold the relationship and stayed consistent. Interesting how they kept misidentifying the Goliath, but finally caught him out. Neither Bennett nor Hicks handled the situation well, but I'm Team Hicks all the way.

Beyond Paradise - General Discussion
zoey1996 replied to Door County Cherry's topic in Beyond Paradise
I watched the "no-wedding" episode. Both cases were intriguing and wrapped up nicely. I like Martha's mother usually, but her going all-out when it's not what Martha and Humphrey wanted was too much. Foster son was cute and could add to the show, used wisely. -
Week 20 1/5, no* YTD 35/100, five* I'll bring "funeral potatoes" aka Tater Tot Casserole, for no particular reason other than I'm making it this week for a church dinner.

Wish we could meet up. I'm less than two hours north of Wichita! Enjoy Wichita!

I am so glad this is back! The case is very interesting. I don't recall why Rheinhardt's boss seems to oppose him. The dynamic amongst Max, Oskar, and Frau Linder works so well. Loved the "code" scene.

Why can't it be both? For the bus, someone from his residential home takes him to the bus and makes sure he gets on. The driver checked to see if he was being picked up, and Reggie knew Fred was coming to get him. He may have had a phone number with him, but he'd left his bag at the station, and didn't have his wallet with him. He may be capable of asking for help with the phone, but for whatever reason, didn't. He found a place to sleep and stay relatively warm over night, until he was found. I've always loved the Christmas specials, and this was no exception. One omission was the early mention of May and Angela by the Fun Fair couple, that one was white, the other Chinese, but this was never followed up.

I ordered Brad Grusnick's first in the series of gritty gross mysteries, The Last Will and Testament of Ernie Politics. I got it on Kindle for $1.99. First chapter is set in a holding cell in LA, so yeah, gross pretty much describes it. But the beginning of the story has hooked me, so I'll probably finish it.
