    Jamestown

I have two more episodes in Season 2 to watch. The supernatural/superstition stuff in episode 6 was kind of eerie. Also, how long have we understood the science behind the solar eclipse, and how eyes can be damaged by looking directly at one? Glad Massinger is done for, good riddance, but how it was done was pretty brutal. And how many times are they going to dig up Castell?!!! I’m liking Temperence better, but she’d best watch herself around the Governor.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I’m annoyed at the Mazda 3 commercial that uses the same music as the University of Phoenix commercial where the woman gets her degree, and changes the poster to say, We can do IT. With so many pieces of music to choose from, they couldn’t find a different one?
  3. Yes, however, since Georgie arranged for the cable and George didn't know how it was set up, he probably didn't know how that worked. An installation tech explained it to me, but if not for him, I don't know how I would have figured it out. I liked this whole episode. I hope John is able to recover from his breakdown and be back, and better, with Connie for next season. Loved Missy trying to explain to Sheldon that he might want to lower his expectations, and he didn't "get it." Loved the ending montage! I rarely watched TBBT, but I mostly knew who the characters as children were. And Sheldon admitted to being wrong!

    What is...In the Media?

I watched the CBS Sunday Morning Trebek interview tonight. Very interesting, and Jane was a good choice to conduct the interview. I also didn’t realize that he was wearing “not his own hair,” for lack of a better term. He really looks good, and what a work ethic he has!

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

How are they connected? Priscilla (Mullens) and John Alden, and Standish were Massachusetts. Mullins and Alden arrived in 1630. Pocahontas was Jamestown, Virginia colony, circa 1607. She married John Rolfe (not Smith), and is buried in Gravesend, England.

    S03. E22. Pillar of Salt

I got the impression that Bull phrased that deliberately to get that reaction, to learn how the suspect thought of herself as a mother. I don't remember enough of Bull and his ex-wife as a couple, but I can't help but think them getting back together isn't a good idea, baby or no. Would certainly change the dynamic of Bull being work obsessed. Also not sure why Marissa changed her mind about having a baby. Was it so she wouldn't have to tell her husband that his sperm were deficient? Please, he's an adult. Give him the information so you can decide together what to do!

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

With the Caroline answer, they should have asked BMS, to get the last name. I've only heard her referred to as (Princess) Lee Radziwill and didn't know that Lee wasn't her first name. I knew Switzerland, Jane Addams, Mountain Dew, and FJ, though I guessed on FJ. Like Sara, so glad she's a finalist.

    S.W.A.T.

This episode could have served as season finale - some loose ends were tidied up. Glad there's one more though. I don't remember meeting Luka's friends, the dyslexic girl and her mother, but enjoyed their interactions. Also good for Luka, going to bat to help her. Will we see Street's mom in the next episode? Creepy that Mom gave keys to that con woman. And yay for Darryl's story, but awful that he was shot doing the right thing.

    Westerns, Old and New

Mr. Zoey and I enjoy watching old Gunsmokes. We DVR them from TV Land. Most we've seen multiple times, but every once in a whiile we will see one that we don't remember. Mr. Zoey watches a lot of the old ones he grew up watching, like Maverick and Bat Masterson on Encore Westerns, and Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers. I always like Wagon Train, too. For one that's newer, I've started watching The Pinkertons. It's a syndicated show with no set time for airing across the board, but where I live, two stations carry it at different times. I've been DVRing and then catching up when I can.

    Westerns, Old and New

We watched a Wagon Train yesterday. The episode was, "The St. Nicholas Story," first aired Dec. 23, 1959. Ward Bond was wagonmaster Seth Adams. It seems rare that westerns had Christmas themed shows. The other one I've seen was on Gunsmoke, Murry Christmas. It's one of our favorite episodes, and we try to watch it every year. We don't have a recording, so it's somewhat hit or miss.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

The Exorcist Theme originated on an album called Tubular Bells and was used as the soundtrack. At least we have two women teacher contestants. I don't remember seeing any clips of students cheering for their teachers, ever. Speaking of water towers, this is the one in Oatmeal, Texas. This isn't one of my pictures, but I have some.

    Season 35 Final Jeopardy Contest

Week 35 - 2/5 Season to date - 83/173, 10* Yes, me as well. Mr. Zoey came up with Maine, but I didn't.
  14. I'm suggesting this as a topic because I want to discuss the upcoming CBS season. Does it have to have suggested sub-topics? I tried to post this earlier today, but I clicked on Preview Post, and what I'd written disappeared. Looks like it took this time? Did anyone watch the fall season new show preview that was on last night? I missed most it. The new Laurie Metcalf (Jackie from Roseanne, not sure what else she's been in lately) might not be dreadful. Also interesting that some of the day and time slots changes were mentioned at the end of the program, but no mention was made of The Amazing Race moving to Friday nights.

    Unforgotten

I need a scorecard to keep track! OK, Pete survives the knifing but dies in hospital after surgery. His widow or partner, don't recall if they were married, will have his financial house of cards to deal with now. Jamie and Elliott are off the hook, because Elliott went on a school ski vacation too close to the time when Hayley disappeared and was murdered. Chris had a run of bad luck (porn accusation that turned out to be unfounded, being sacked by his firm because of it), and add in mental health and drug abuse issues, but once he stopped lying makes a credible case for him not being the culprit. Leaving Tim, former abusive husband, accused of emotionally abusing a patient, if not physically, as prime suspect. Lastly, the blogger is arrested for contributing to Pete's attack. Poor thing, just wanted to work as a paid journalist. Cassie and Sonny both have complications in their personal lives. I do hope Cassie and her father can mend fences. I feel badly for Sonny's wife, but it was her mistake that led to their separation, and Sonny's learning to get along without her.

    S08.E06: Episode 6

By then, the child will be in school, so not in need of full-time care, and the plan is for the mother to be able to be self-supporting.

The Cast of Young Sheldon: My Mother Had Me Tested

I’ve been a fan of Wallace Shawn since the movie, My Dinner With Andre, and loved his appearances in Murphy Brown (original). He’s a delightful character in this show as well.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

Yes! I remember that! Also, I knew camel because of "Camel Train" 1957 Death Valley Days, as well as "The Red Ghost of Eagle Creek," also Death Valley Days, 1963. Mr. Zoey and I watch Westerns reruns often.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I read it in the 60's, and in drama class a couple of students performed part of one act. My DD's 30th reunion is this year, and my 50th is this year! Jane Smiley is also a product of University of Iowa's program. The wiki page lists a number of Pulitzer prize winners who had been in the workshop.

I just watched the GMA Trebek interview; Robin Roberts, who has survived health problems of her own, was a great interviewer.

    S03.E20 Field Trippin'

Yes, we did too! What Greg did was very clever. Katie, on the other hand, was clueless with the field trip. Katie's mom wasn't a great parenting role model, but you'd think Katie would have developed better parenting skills by now. And it could still be funny without being cringe-inducing.
