  1. I hope there isn't a second season. Doesn't matter though. I won't watch this again.
  2. Ok.....what are you supposed to do if you have to predict the next card to be higher or lower.... and it's the same value.....seems to me it would be a push and the player would have to re-guess rather than lose the round because you would lose either way. Saw this happen twice. On one, the contestant has a six....guesses higher,. next card is a six,. it ends the round....same player wins control...wants a new top card, it's a six......if you're superstitious....I would think that's a bad sign.
  3. Of course not.....Fonzie lived in 1956 right to the end.
  4. They had designer jeans in 1961? I owned those in 1981. And I thought they were new. And looking back....even if I thought I was a fashion plate, those were some uglee pants. Maybe worse than the flares I often wore in the 70s, which I thought made me stylin.. It will be kind of hard to watch after Richie and Ralph depart, only made easier by the fact that at this time of year....the group of channels that carry MeTV in my neck of the woods tends to not come in very well and forces me to seek something else.
  5. Longtime host David Ruprecht very much wants to be part of the show.....doing the announcers play by play part for the big sweep formerly done by Johnny Gilbert among others during his run as host. I'm all in on that. Would love to have him.
  6. Oh I so agree the strongest player in a round should be immune from the vote. That would make the game better. But we'll never see a chain go longer than two or three questions because some of these idiots think if they bank everytime it's their turn....that it's helping the cause when in fact.....they're just afraid of getting a question wrong and breaking the chain because they will be targeted. On Jane Lynch..... when she says "the WEAKEST link" it sounds absolutely pre rehearsed. Like she's trying to be Anne Robinson. I would like Jane to just act like Jane.
  7. I think it was Remote Control.....when a contestant was eliminated they would disappear behind the wall..... either to be eaten by something....or maybe Colin might sing to you. Somebody should reboot that.
  8. I have to admit......I wept a little for the scene where everybody is sitting around the burnt out remnants of their cherished hangout which they were thinking about abandoning. There will be a new Arnold's now......it'll look more like "The Max" from Saved By the Bell only without Zack, Slater, Kelly, Lisa and Screech. Instead we'll get Jenny Piccolo. Oops.....did I leave out Jessie? Sorry girl....but since you did that saucy thing you did.....you're not milk and cookies enough for the Bayside gang anymore.
  9. I have to admit......I wept a little for the scene where everybody is sitting around the burnt out remnants of their cherished hangout which they were thinking about abandoning. 10. They should've had a blimp......like HowFonz Inc. But I think THIS is the moment the series made the turn.....not when Fonzie jumped the shark.....this is when the Joanie and Chachi thing really started and in my mind.....when a show starts becoming about relationship drama..... it's over.
  11. Just popped in to see.....(first time for masked singer)......if anyone else here thought the Sun could possibly be Madonna. And why does Ken Jeong keep making these kind of guesses? Like thinking Dragon could be Micheal Phelps yeah riiiight. I have to admit Dragon had a Booker T vibe about him and frankly thought you wouldn't see a Busta Rhymes on this show.....well so much for that. Maybe it IS Madonna.
  12. Firsr off.....let me get my "Told you so" and "I knew it all along" out of the way with regard to new agt champion Brandon Leake though a bit of doubt was cast upon me by his final performance while still heartfelt and powerful..... didn't have the drama and soul of his previous outings. Broken Roots has to be comeback of the history of the show candidates because never before have I seen an act go from out of the live shows.....given a reprieve.....and almost taking it all. Personally I didn't care for it, thought the song selections didn't suit them....they sounded like two guys who just met and never played before.....all the way to the end but somehow and i don't know how far their backstory carried them.....they won votes over more deserving acts whether by hook or by crook. And they have an opportunity now. It doesn't hurt to play with Blake Shelton and help cross promote the upcoming Voice season. We will likely see them again as "special guest performers" on a Voice results episode coming soon. We will see Christina Rae performing a national anthem for some event soon I predict as well as a duet with Kelly Clarkson on her show because on her show.....she sings with everybody. And Kelly works on the Voice and has a personal relationship with Simon so the loop is established. Add a cross promotion with Songland and Ryan Tedder who just might totally reinvent a song for her and that makes it work too because you don't really need Vegas if the media is gonna make you a star. U have to give props to the agt production crew for putting on a very watchable and well presented live show environment as production all over goes through a pandemic induced makeover with difficult protocals put in place. Much improved over what we had on Idol and the Voice's most recent seasons which made you think they were performing at a hospital or something. A learning as you go angle....just like the rest of us. Be safe..... have peace.
  13. Everybody likes Double Dutch Courage....but most of the players can clear it. They should have to clear both blades on one run to avoid a stroke penalty, and the putt itself is kinda too easy. Polecano just looks likes something that's crazy to try. Fly down a zipline to try to catch a pole? How does a cookie mom for example?.....be able to survive that without getting knocked out? The pole is padded right?
  14. First of all.....I get the "uranus" jokes....but uranus is not the ringed planet..... that's Saturn of course....but it isn't funny. Unlike some of you ...i liked Diving Range ...because i understood it was a spoof of a diving competition, having legitmate diver Joey Cefelli be trashed every time and Sir Goph giving everybody a "fore"......get it?
  15. I like the competition..... let's have more of it. Because making me endure a five minute backstory, then have to be intoduced to their family members..... then they fall in the drink on the second obstacle..... not a good way to keep me interested. Jessie Graf is a good athlete.... I'll leave out the "she's a WOMAN athlete part and therefore not heap special praise just because of that. And her failure at the Titan Games exposes the fact she's not superhuman. Or least the fact that a good ninja doesn't translate to being a titan. Likely would be the same for a titan trying to be a ninja.....just different skills.
  16. I've gotten to the point where all the backstories do for me is trigger my remote......and there was a whole lot of that tonight. I saw Brandon, saw Archie....that was pretty much it. I was more drawn to the Cosmos program on Fox. I guess if Brandon doesn't win it should be Bad Salsa because there's really no other options.....problem is, all the backstory drivel I had to endure wasn't worth it. I do believe girls can do whatever they want.....but can you please just do it and stop telling us about it first and acting like we should be standing on our head in disbelief because we all didn't know females can do anything? Sheesh enough already. No other acts were worth much of a mention. It was a forgettable season.....pandemic or not. It doesn't matter who gets a Vegas act because until furthur notice.....nobody will come see you anyway. My prediction for who wins tomorrow? Not my pick but likely Christina. And how soon will i forget? The next day.
  17. Pa Pa.....Pa pa...pa pa pa pa PUMPS YOUR BLOOD...... don't you just find that sticking in your head and just can't make it go away?
  18. I was interested to learn after taking two MeTV surveys of "what would you watch" for 1974 and 1975....(I was teenage).....thinking the competition between Happy Days and Good Times would have been closer.....but in both years, more than 70% of respondents chose Happy Days for that Tuesday at 8 timeslot. Good Times recieved less than 10%....while NBC's Adam 12 came in around 15%. This was when you really had to decide. Now of course.....you can watch anything....from anytime.....whenever you want. Back then?......if you wanted to watch both, you had to wait for summer repeats.
  19. I'm guessing we're not getting through the finale without at least a virtual visit from Simon ...who won't likely be on the judges panel live. I guess if they really wanted ....Simon could judge virtually while the others are on set. I guess it's better for him to just rest because he's got Champions 3 to do.
  20. So Nick certainly isn't the only singer to do AGT and then American Idol. But he's the only one to win.
  21. I guess i go by the music being performed..... as Anson sang Bobby Vee's "Take Good Care of my Baby" which actually came out in 1961.....so i was off. Or maybe people just don't pay attention to details like that. Soon.... Chachi will burn Arnold's down because the producers wanted to do away with the American Graffiti style drive in, for something that looks more like a late 70s era pizza joint. When Happy Days debuted ....ABC was desperate for a hit because they had long been behind CBS and NBC so new shows that needed time to find an audience often weren't given that chance. And Good Times on CBS was it's competition....so they needed changes. But i guess somehow by the mid 70s....people tuned away from topical relevance shows to ABC's fantasy world. People wanted to escape even then. It seemed every show ABC had followed that "fantasy" aspect. Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Charlie's Angels, Mork from Ork....etc.....
  22. Chachi, Chachi, Chachi...... y'know, if he were really in 1962....he would be outcast because of his freak hair....which back then was unacceptable by peer standards of the time. So to for Potsie ...who by 1962 had grown his hair to look more like a 1979 carbon copy local tv news anchor. And Chachi's wax did nothing to help. And seeing what the wax did to the card table and Fonz's motorcycle seat.....I guess Potsie is lucky to have hair at all.
  23. Here's an "I didn't know".......I didn't know that back in season nine, a rock band called "Beach Avenue" auditioned with an original song.....an anthem type number called "Coming for You". It gained heavy praise from the judges who gave them four yes votes. In season nine they did judgement week where acts would perform for the judges again sans audience, and those were not necessarily all aired on tv. Beach Avenue didn't get out of judgement week......but their lead singer...... Nick Fradiani......went on American Idol season 14 and won the very next year.
  24. So if one were to believe the logic of Back to the Future .... it would have devastating consequenes for Mork living in 1979 to reappear in the 50s and interact with people whose lives you might effect. But could Mork at least have brought Richie a sports almanac? Or is it just the basis for another clip episode?
  25. Absolutely.....that was the Life Savers commercial campaign in the late 70s. So nowadays that tag at the end doesn't really connect. it had kinda caught on as a pop culture thing for a short time as a way to cheer someone up after a tough break..... like when people start using catchphrases from SNL, you grimace and move on and soon it stops.
