  1. So now we move on to season three and you can tell right away the change in tone of the show. It shot to the top during this season before it ceded to it's own spinoff Laverne and Shirley. But before we jump the shark ....I sense that "Fearless Fonzerelli" has about thirteen garbage cans to jump over in what was the series first gotta tune in next week to see how it goes episodes. It's on live TV and the nation is watching.......
  2. I'm happy she's with us. She has good taste in guys.
  3. I love when they do baking challenges, because as a baker myself....I actually learn quite a bit. So watching Gordon prepare his Tarte Tatin was absolutely awesome. I'm glad Evan is gone. Quite frankly, he probably has the talent to have a culinary career, but please put your arrogance in check....it's not going to serve you well. People will hate working with you. And if you were to open your own place someday... people will hate working for you. Then Gordon will show up in the Hellmobile.
  4. He laid the egg through his navel? And then it grew? Well.....at least that's better than the image I originally had. Since this is a topic about Happy Days and not Mork and Mindy....I'll close this by saying that thank goodness Robin Williams was able to have a serious acting career after this.
  5. I don't remember Out of the Blue at all. It took a deeper Google search to glean information about it. They only produced 12 episodes with only eight airing. I guess Random was tied to Happy Days after an episode where Chachi falls asleep in a booth and dreams about selling his soul to the devil's nephew and I guess Random saves him. Actually as with Mork....this was more like a pilot episode for Out of the Blue than an actual spinoff....though it is listed as such. ABC must've been desperate for ratings at that time....they did a lot of stupid things.....like how on Mork & Mindy, they decided that a new baby was needed ....it turned out to be Jonathan Winters. That must've been a painful delivery for Mindy.....or did she lay an egg? And since Orkans aged backwards....how would it have looked to have Mindy married to a kid? I know! Let's do a reboot....have Pam Dawber reprise her Mindy character who would be sixty something by now....and hire a kid to play Mork. That is if Pam Dawber is still alive.....I'm not sure.
  6. I actually liked the Ted McGinley character "Jefferson Darcy" in the latter seasons of Married With Children....though I though Steve had a better dynamic with Al Bundy. Other than Laverne & Shirley, whose characters were introduced on Happy Days before they moved into their own show, they really didn't have much luck with spinoffs. Mork was successful, but that was more the genius of Robin Williams. I saw somewhere that "Joanie Loves Chachi" was considered the single worst television series ever....but I have a worse one....another sort of spinoff. They introduced the character Nancy Blansky (Nancy Walker) as a relative of Howard Cunningham, before she was transported into the future to "Blansky's Beauties".....an absolute travesty of a show. Pat Morita, who played Arnold....left for Mr. T and Tina, another stinkfest. Arnold of course was replaced by Al Delvecchio as proprieter at Arnold's before he also went to Joanie loves Chachi, and to my knowledge, didn't return until the last episode, when he attended the wedding ministered by "Father Delvecchio".
  7. I have a crush on Elizabeth. She's just awesome. And she does great as host. She has fun, the way she likes to ride on top of the podium when it makes the turn is pretty sexy if no one minds me saying that. I sure never saw Peter Tomarken do that. Hope you're resting well Pete....you were the man. And I think Jason did the right thing by walking. He won the car he needed, the fishing boat, I was thinking there was a lot of celebrating and man it would really suck if he hit a whammy because they'd been cruel to the other two players. Happy he didn't get too greedy. Good 4 u man!
  8. The show in the it's early seasons did try to deal with some serious issues that were relevant in the 1950's and still unfortunately are still having struggles with to this very day. Like why build a bomb shelter for your own safety if it means you have to shut out the people around you that mean the most to you? And who would want to live in a world like that anyway? Another episode dealt with the segregation issues of the time when the Cunninghams host a wedding in their home for a black couple. I'm glad that Marion who struggled with her own feelings on prejudice, offered to have the wedding in her house after Howard's friend Fred's future father in law wouldn't hold the wedding because Howard was the best man. Later, Howard gave the speech to Richie more or less implying that by the time he got married and had kids of his own, that he could effect futhur change by instilling those lessons for his own children to eventually pass on. I've always had that hope too. And while societies have indeed become much more integrated and some attitudes have changed....especially from where it was then, in 2020 we still have issues to overcome. But why? We are all one race......human. While we can't change the past, we could certainly effect the future.
  9. The latest episode shown featured an appearance by real life nostalgia group Flash Cadillac & The Continental Kids playing fictional group "Johnny Fish & The Fins" where Mrs. C. had to help Richie save face by getting nosebleed tickets for his friends. But good ole Rich always did the right thing and kept his word to be hush about the group staying at the Cunningham house. Flash Cadillac had a real life top 40 hit in the summer of 1976 with "Did You Boogie With Your Baby" featuring the voice of iconic DJ Wolfman Jack.
  10. Yeah maybe I can look that up, because I don't remember Bag being on Laverne & Shirley. I agree that after Ron Howard left, and Donny Most as well....I didn't get into it nearly as much. It seemed as it went on, they were introducing new characters that didn't really represent the period they were supposed to represent, like Roger, or Jenny Piccolo, or KC Cunningham. It was supposed to be the early to mid 60's. About the only thing that did was the weekly cheesy songs being performed by Joanie & Chachi....because during that period there seemed to be a lot of Male/Female duets on the pop chart.
  11. Season two was about the time the character of Richie's older brother Chuck more or less disappeared with no explanation of what happened to him.....by the last episode, even Howard talked about raising TWO wonderful children at Joanie and Chachi's wedding. What a great dad! Yeah right. And I guess with the rise of the Fonz, they did away with Bag as well.
  12. Happy Days.....first I can't believe I needed to create a topic for this classic show, once the number one show in America. Reruns are back courtesy of MeTV.....currently airing season two episodes with a notable change. They stopped using Bill Haley's "Rock Around The Clock" as the opener, instead playing the Happy Days theme that was used beginning season three through the end of the series. The first two seasons of course are the best the series ever was when the show focused more on the Cunningham family, Richie and his friends before Fonzie became the central character and before the "jump the shark" episode which to this day is a term used to describe when a popular show makes a drastic turn downward. Maybe there's just not enough people who remember this show.
  13. I wouldn't have wanted her to come back an addict, I mean look at how she handled it during her paranoid pot induced babysitting episode when her "real" best friend Millie came to save her. I mean she freaked out over the dog waking up because she really believed they were all just the dogs dream. I can accept that she ran off to find herself....people do that when they feel trapped by their lives. It would just be so hard to make the dad understand. You had the feeling she didn't really want to go to the summit anyway. She felt she HAD to. And poor Ken, he lost both his friends, Nick to disco, and Daniel to D&D. Must've been a lonely summer for him.
  14. What do you think happened to Lindsey after she shunned the academic summit to run around with a bunch of stoned deadheads all summer? Surely the folks were gonna check up on her right? She's in for a great big grounding. And no way they would allow her to run with Kim again.
  15. I realize that it was done for comic affect.....but why wouldn't Leonard put a damn t-shirt on underneath that itchy sweater Sheldon makes him wear until he returns that Mario Bros. or whatever it was to the rental place? You have to be a moron to agree to that. It's cheating but so what?
  16. I have an Android app of this game. And tonight, I saw the wall do the same thing my app does to me.....only it's not real money. You know the drill ....green balls find the 1's and 10's...the red balls are like smart bombs drawn to the big money slots. The sisters went home with $104. Hey, it's better than I do.
  17. I just love it when these hand picked so called "superhuman" people get defeated. It just goes to show......they are just like the rest of us. I always thought ANW overhyped her anyway. Tonight you saw why.
  18. Maybe Joe Tessitore's problem on Monday Night Football is that he didn't have Rob Riggle by his side. They're good together. And dig the vintage ABC sports jackets!😇
  19. Hey Voice fans! If you ever wonder if these singers actually make it beyond the show? Well, former winner Craig Wayne Boyd, former runner up Adam Wakefield, and former American Idol finalist Casey James have come together to form what I would call the first reality singing competion "supergroup" called "Texas Hill". Go check out their debut single release "Darkest Sky"......it's pretty good.
  20. Returning to make a comment.... Heidi is taking a lot of heat for hitting the X on Amanda LeCount......actually alledging her of "bodyshaming".....and that just isn't fair. To Heidi that this. To say it wasn't a "million dollar act" is putting it mildly. It was that horrible act that prompted me to turn the show off last night. So to protect Heidi from further backlash from political correctness...I call for the red X's to be permanently removed because the use of them hurts people's feelings....just put everyone through, and let America do the dirty work later. Can I have some more downvotes please? But I guess the "controversies" that Simon is subjecting us to is the only thing that props this show up as the ratings continue to drop. And I was actually kind of wondering why Heidi now sits next to Howie. Ok there. I'm out.
  21. My mental buzzer is giving me a headache...... this just keeps getting worse. Kudos to Heidi for having guts, Howie....you need to get a pair. It would be perfectly fine with me now if they cancelled this glub. Season over for me. Bye everyone.
  22. I watched this for the first time tonight.....what a gut wrenching experience. And it left me in tears..... Jamar did so well with the questions.....and they had 1.1 mil on the wall.....unfortunately, Jamar couldn't know that, nor how well he did because they don't tell you how many you get right. He signed the contract. It cost them a million....they still leave with 100k.....I never knew you could go on a show.... win 100k.....and feel like you lost. I wanted them to have that million. But at least it isn't nothing.
  23. When I first heard of this, I thought it would be stupid. But I actually enjoy it. They can develop more tag games so they're not playing the same games on every show. And I have one.....call it "Target Tag"....and here is how it goes.....a target is suspended above the stage, similar to "Assault" on AG. A cylinder of balls are placed on the start line... the contenders will start there....two taggers will start on the course underneath the suspended target, on go, the contenders take a ball and try to hit the target and avoid being tagged, if they are..... they must return to behind the line to serve a ten second penalty before re-entering....otherwise if they miss, they can go back to get a new ball with no penalty. Every target hit is one point. The game is two minutes...... it's time to play some tag!
  24. Well I don't know what they'd do....and I've pondered the same question. Here's how to do it..... you put up an alternate board with only cash amounts ranging from $100 to $1000 plus whammies and invite people in the audience to take one spin, maybe win a little cash, or hit a whammy and go sit down. But I wish if the show is gonna be a full hour, they should just play two regular games with separate sets of three contestants. The bonus portion being the last full half hour kinda makes it drag....the regular games are more exciting.
