  1. James made Tank McNamara! And as a long time Cincinnati Reds/Pete Rose fan, I loved this cartoon.
  2. Also, you have to admire the dedication of the New Amsterdam staff. It's Sunday afternoon (per Reynolds family Sunday dinner). Iggy and Kapoor are treating patients, the administrative assistant to the medical director is carrying on with office work, and Reynolds and the hospital lawyer decide to hang out at the hospital after getting engaged.
  3. The impression I got was that the crash wasn't in the ambulance bay at the hospital. The ambulance Max et al were in was on the street. at an intersection. You can see the ambulance the druggie lawyer was driving coming on the street through the right side window of Max's ambulance just before the crash. In the aftermath, other ambulances are pulling up at the site and EMTs responding, not hospital staff. I also thought I saw a body covered with a white cloth on the ground near Max's ambulance, which may or may not be Helen.
  4. 2/5. I thought I would do better during the Teacher's Tournament. I was wrong.
  5. @teebax, you got robbed on the chimes question. I was at the symphony this past weekend where they played that very instrument and the program called it "chimes." I really expected a correction after the commercial. Congratulations on a job well done!
  6. I was sitting right behind you at that premiere And I was the old lady shushing you both for talking during the performance.
  7. I just had a thought, pure speculation. What if the baby (placenta, stem cells, umbilical cord, whatever) is the miracle cure for Max's cancer? I have no idea if throat cancer can be treated this way, but then the writers don't seem to be tied down by any real medical facts or procedures.
  8. Missing: Max's wife. Once again, Max is faced with a life-changing decision and he doesn't even consider talking to his wife about it. Do the show runners think we have just forgotten her? Frankly, the show is better without her but we need some explanation as to why she is not in the picture.
  9. Bumping this since 2019 Tony nominations come out tomorrow (April 30).
  10. 3/5 although one was a pure guess. Counts though.
  11. Has Max's wife and unborn child gone to their happy place? It's been several episodes without even a mention of them. Also, can someone please explain to me why New Amsterdam couldn't accept the voucher from the VA without causing an implosion of the National Health Care System? I'm a lawyer but the explanation went right over my head.
  12. 2/5. I got better as the week went on.
  13. As if figuring out the rules for ice dancing wasn't already hard enough! So now the music must be from a musical and the dance must tell a story. And the Senior Pattern Dance is the Finnstep, which, as I recall, is really difficult, especially for the skaters who prefer to glide rather than do rhythmic steps. This could get interesting.
  14. I kept going back and forth between Iwo Jima and D-Day. I finally settled on D-Day. Wrong! James has so permeated my mind that the first thing I thought when I read about the bookies losing money on the Tiger Woods Master win was whether James got in on that action. He certainly has enough money to have bet a bundle.
  15. 4/5. Like so many, Jane Fonda did me in.
  16. You haven't hung out with the Pearsons much, have you? Dammit, Show, now you made me hate Beth too. That anxiety attack statement was really a low blow. I hope the two get into couple therapy. I think we did see (briefly) Beth's siblings. There was an African- American bridesmaid and groomsman. And it looked like Phylicia Rashad (although I doubt that it was) who put down the broom R&B jumped.
  17. Since my office was located across the street from the Salmon P. Chase Federal Building, FJ was an instaget for me. Also I laughed at the fact that they all avoided the Blue Man Group category and then the clues were fairly easy.
  18. 4/5 with *. I did much better with Jeopardy this week than I did with my NCAA Basketball pool.
  19. You're right, @SeanC. I keep forgetting that part of the rule. Thanks.
  20. Yes, Daleman was 11 and Chartrand was 22, so 33 (the third skater didn't make the cut to skate in the Free, although only the highest two counts). They needed to place a combined 28 or less for 2 places next year. Yikes! And if they slip very far in Men (they are currently 13 and 14), they might only have one spot next year there.
