I don't mind the Snells. I wish they had held off on Cade for a while. I expect there to be an obstacle to Ruth's happiness and success but I think it would have worked better for her to have some of those things before her shit heel father shows up and threatens it. Really odd use of A Summer Wind.

Never once and after seeing the word prophecy applied to MMD's words countless times have I ever believed that her statement was actually a prophecy. I have never swayed from believing that MMD was telling Dany that she will NEVER see Drogo again. As in "When pigs fly" "Twelfth of never" or even "And monkeys might fly out my butt." (Thank you Wayne for that one). It's called a Song of Ice and Fire. Dany and Jon's child was always the end game and Drogo was simply a character who served as a plot device in our journey along the way.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018)

Just finished. Lovely. I was a bit bothered by the Dawsey scruff. As mentioned above it was very inaccurate, However I really liked this. The emotional power of the written word whether in letter form or in a narrative was the thrust of the book as much as the human story and they really sold that with the voice overs in the credits. The written word became their sustenance during the occupation and the wide age range of the societies membership and their connection as a family was very moving. -
I saw Will as the protagonist and Sue as the antagonist. The kids were just show fodder for me. And that's how they should have been treated. They way they twisted the plots around to keep them around and give them stories after graduation was sometimes excrutiating.

I'm the one who talked about Madison's accent being languid. here's my original post: The CLASSIC languid Boston accent is Boston Rob Mariano from Survivor. She doesn't have anything like a Brahmin accent. The last of the soon to be extinct Brahmin accents is John Kerry. And forget the Kennedys as a comparison. Their accent was truly unique. They went to private schools where they learned diction. They may have charmed the voters with some elongated flattened vowels and a non-rhotic R here and there but they never swallowed a consonant. The show had a generic Masshole accent in the long haired tweaker from seasons past. It wasn't that good. Madison also demonstrates a subtle modern upspeak.

Her pronounciations are pure working class. She swallows her consonants. She hits her ar's as ahhhhhhh at the right time but she still hits some of them with extra vowel syllables. Listen to her say "war" as wohar. "First" as fuhst. "Important" as impawent. What's fooling you is she speaking in a low non-nasal tone. Because she's being threatening in a surreptitious manner. Her delivery is slow and languid rather than the stereotypical nasal flat shriek of a Southie fishwife. See: "Don't call me a skank." from The Fighter. The slowness is the only flaw. Bostonians generally speak rapid fire. Northern New Englanders are more languid. But she's using the slowness as a way to show control and be threatening. The writers have neglected to throw in a few "wicked pissa awesomes" as well as an occasional "in-fucking-credible" or "un-fucking-believable" to help her sell it. And if we're going to talk about really bad acting, let's discuss Daddy. Terrible.

Bostonian here. She's doing a Dorchester accent. Her pronounciation of "first" was dead on. She said exactly like my father used to say it. The problem is that her dialect coach is in their 60's. The accent has softened.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Grittier than the past two. Didn't have the sleek glamour of Rogue Nation but that is not a complaint just an observation. Has the emotional content of Ghost Protocol. I gasped, I screamed, I was genuinely surprised. The ankle breaking moment was palpable. There was a moment when I didn't know who or what to trust or believe and I loved that feeling. The chase in London used that particular location so ehhhhm, geographically accurately and yet it was preposterous and impossible. Believable and impossible. Just terrific.

I do. I don't care how much of a nut he is, Tom makes the kind of action films I love.

Here's Anthony Ingrubers scenes from Age of Adaline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f33h8p9Bacc He's a voice actor who has done the voices of the Joker, Larry Kenobi, and Han Singular. Two words: Carrie Fisher

From what I understand they didn't even give Anthony Ingruber a screen test. They were determined not to go that way.

Enjoyed it very much. Doesn't have the emotional content of the others but that's okay. This was more of a space romp. I loved that it was basically a galactic hive of scum and villainy and just about everyone was going to betray/screw someone else over. Was touched by Chewie and his Wookie comrades. Surprised by the evil cameo at the end. Shiny new Millenium Falcon getting turned into a junk pile was hilarious. And Han shot first.

The Paint Hall in Belfast houses all the Kings landing Interiors. And the gates to Kings Landing is also on that site. The Red Tower exterior is CGI. The exteriors of Kings Landing are in Croatia

So Seville and the sheer number of cast members suggests one of three things. Coronation Wedding Funeral Take your pick. As for the succession, I think that the most likely candidate is the one we haven't met. That wasn't just boat sex, that was Chekov's Boat Sex. There's a pregnancy. Guaranteed. The sex scene was juxtaposed with dialogue discussing the true succession. Not an accident. So the succession would go, Jon Baby Dany. Forget the bastard element. Jon was considered the King of the North despite being a bastard. No reason to believe the same people who celebrated his ascendancy in the North would eliminate his child for bastardy. Especially if he saves the human race. The only way Dany sits on any throne is because she's holding a child in her lap. She'll be a Queen, but only a Queen regent. Therefore, I think Seville, is Jon's funeral.

Richard Dormer who plays Beric actually lives in Belfast so there would be no sightings of him at the hotels. Conleth also lives in Belfast so there would be precious few sightings of him as well. Liam lives an hour away in the Republic so no sightings of him wouldn't mean anything either.

Well I'm right cool with this ending. It jives with my theory that the child is the one that will rule all along. It's just like GRRM to have the one character we have never met to be the one who actually rules. Also I saw Sansa and Tyrion united as well. I said Brienne and Jaime could never have a happy ending. And I thought that Bran would get lost in a warging. I also said that Cersie will never leave Kings Landing. (She hasn't since midway through the first season) The Valonquar killing Cersie by choking her was a not mentioned in the show"s prophecies. Overall it hits a lot of high points and gives most of the characters a moment.

Saw it, enjoyed it. Gasped a lot. Audience did a lot of screaming and there were many collective "NOOOOOOOO"'s

Oh my goodness. He's a dead ringer for Kate McKinnon's Jeff Sessions impression. I keep expecting his little opossum tail to make an appearance.

Chewie also came back for Rey and Finn. Everyone always forgets Chewie. Sob

You know I love Perter Dinklage love him love him love him, but these nominations are truly bogus. He simply didn't have the material this year.

Heh, I recognized it was an iron and flashed on Hardware Wars and ended up giggling for nearly two minutes after that. I'm surprised and pleased that Johnson threw in something for the original generation of fans.
