  1. ELSBETH!!! I love her. I'm so glad to see her back. I loved everything she did, especially taking Mike Kresteva down a peg or two. I don't think I could watch an entire show based on her but the Good Wife/Fight people know how to use her just right. Its never too much (though I wasn't fond of the story with her ex husband and their dog. That was just weird). Lol! A plus reference. She does seem like she's on a different show. I wish they'd integrate her more to the plot like they did in the pilot. I'm not sure why we're supposed to care about her family drama when I'm more concerned with Diane breaking her losing streak or Lucca's issues since I have more investment and history with those characters.
  2. She's above average for the CW that's for sure. I think she's one of the better young actors on the show but more than that she has that watchable quality, she holds my attention a lot more than some of the others when I'm watching the show. Its not necessarily a talent thing sometimes it's just about a charisma that translates well on screen. I don't know if I really see this but I'd like it to be true. I'm all for more Betty Cooper especially if it means we get some cute Betty/Jughead scenes and more Alice Cooper as a byproduct.
  3. This. There was something just a little bit off about the way she was talking about raising their baby in the farm upstate. I think it's probably a Cooper thing rather than a new development. We've already seen signs in Betty that there's some issues lurking beneath the surface. I'd be surprised if Polly who's supposed to be the more volatile one doesn't have any issues. Plus have you seen their attic? Nightmares. The problem being I have yet to see a well executed love triangle on the CW. Part of the reason I'm enjoying the show so much is the way it's flipping some of the comic themes. So while it's probably inevitable I hope they hold off on the triangle as long as possible.
  4. This was the first episode where I was really impressed with her acting. So far Ive been pretty meh on her performance (though I did and still do enjoy her ability to generate chemistry with any and all of the girls she had scenes with) but she was really good in the scene where she's upset about Hermione taking her name. It was almost like a different show there for a minute.
  5. I Thought it was also because the creators realised that Logan was more interesting and Jason D was a better actor that also contributed to Logan overtaking Duncan. I hope that's what happens here and they realise Betty/Jughead have that spark to become the core couple/endgame and go with it. It would certainly be a refreshing change from the usual CW triangles. Yes please! I'd love Robin Tunney as Mrs Jones.
  6. She's been random episodes of a lot of shows. I remember her from Scrubs and she was in an episode of Drop Dead Diva I watched recently. But the main thing I know her from was Dirty Sexy Money where she played the wife of a cheating politician.
  7. Alice and Hermione had a scene in episode 3. It wasn't a friendly moment, pretty chilly in fact. Veronica is on Alice's list of people Betty shouldn't associate with because she's Hermione's daughter so she's definitely not a fan. I think Hermione agreed to keep Polly because it allows her to piss off both the Coopers and the Blossoms in one move. She seemed positively gleeful about it. Isn't it a requirement that the sheriff is has to suck at his job so the intrepid heroes can solve the case? Seems like he's right on track to me. Besides as someone pointed out earlier he's a good parent so he's got to be bad at something.
  8. I still like Mellie but I think that's just mostly because I adore Bellamy Young and it's always nice to see her on tv. This show is such a freaking mess. I'm mostly just watching to see them all suffer at this point. I miss when this show was fun.
  9. I think he's a little more willing to focus on it than she is. She definitely seemed into him with the little smiles and touches and the way she talked to Ronnie about it seemed like she likes him back. Betty's a little distracted trying to find her pregnant sister and stop her from being used as a pawn in a multigenerational maple syrup blood feud or worse. It tends to take a little time and energy. At least that's what I'm hoping because I don't want to see her break Jugheads heart. That was pretty hilarious. You can always count on the Blossoms to bring the dramatics. I was a little disappointed we didn't get a little more of the Coopers vs Blossoms but the promo for the next episode looks promising. I just can't believe we have to wait so long for it.
  10. 16 minutes ago, Chaos Theory said: Right!!? I'm surprised she fell for their act so quickly. You'd think being Alice Cooper's daughter would teach you to recognise the warning signs when it comes to shifty parentals. I'm glad Cheryl's on the up and up though. It makes sense she would want to protect the last piece of Jason. I have to say I'm totally onboard with Jughead/Betty (I refuse to use their ridiculous ship name). They were all kinds of sweet and adorable this episode. I'm sure it's going to end in tears (probably mine) but I'm along for the ride. The scene with them walking home holding hands and that little kiss at the end of it? So fricking cute. I adored her this episode. I enjoyed her mind games with Hermione. I guess that's some of the old Veronica peeking through the newly nice girl act. Clearly the girl is born to scheme and bend people to her will. It was beautiful. Archie was a lot better this episode too. I guess I like him in stories that aren't about him.
  11. I didn't even realise that was her! Chris was my favourite. I kinda enjoyed the show. It was fun for what it was and she was definitely one of the highlights. Also on that front, I can't be the only one who also remembers Mädchen as one of Carter's girlfriends in ER. She was a little annoying on that show, but then again Carters love interests usually were.
  12. This made me do the math for myself and I was 13 when KJ was born. So, that's not great lol! Me too! Though I don't think he's anything beyond sort of cute so at least I don't have to feel too bad about inappropriate thoughts ;) Also on the KJ front I wonder if the reason his acting seems stilted to me is because he's concentrating so much on his accent the rest of his performance suffers as a result. The just not holding my attention the way some of the other characters do.
  13. I'm pretty sure Mick would punch anyone who tried to hug him. Amaya seemed to be bonding with him a little, especially when they were in the old West but she got romanced with Nate so I guess that was the end to their little friendship. I don't think he's an afterthought to anyone. He's definitely one of the crew and the others seem to see him that way. He's just the one that's going to be difficult about things, just like Rays the one who's going to be overexcited about things and Sara's going to be the one finding a random love interest along the way. They all have their roles to play ;)
  14. I think it might be more of a job share thing. Rip clearly knows more about time and the Spear and whatnot but Sara's a much better leader. She certainly did a better job of keeping the idiots in line and on track for the most part but I think Rip's knowledge and relationship with Gideon keep him in contention. I look forward to the inevitable awkwardness between them as the try to work it out. I imagine it'll probably just be Rip giving orders but the others still looking at Sara for the ok.
  15. So true! I'll miss Evil Rip. Its amazing how much his hotness dropped (at least for me) once he became regular Rip again. Arthur Darvill really is such a good actor. He made them feel like completely different people. I hope Hot Evil Rip isn't gone for good. I totally ship Rip/Gideon now, and maybe Sara/Gideon, also Rip/Sara just a little. I can't help it. I look forward to the awkwardness of the two captains though. I hope Sara doesn't give up the title easily. Mick continues to be an absolute delight. Especially when he takes over Stein's science things. This is the second episode in a row and I'm digging it. I couldn't care less about Nate and Amaya as a couple but I did enjoy Ray trying to get in their way. The three of them together are fun.
  16. She's my favourite so far. Not something I thought I'd be saying as a girl who always preferred Ronnie in the comics. The actress is also one of the stronger actors in the cast (especially amongst the teens). I just hope they avoid the inevitable Archie/Betty/Veronica triangle for as long as possible because that does the character no favours (actually it does none of them any favours). They've certainly got lots of other things to explore with her such as her nightmare parents and her investigations/romance with Jughead.
  17. How the heck did this episode not end with a Danvers sisters scene?!?! Come on now!
  18. I have seen him on so so many shows over the years but he's still always going to be Prue's boyfriend Jack to me. That's the only one that sticks.
  19. I don't think Betty's escaped unscathed either. Dark Betty is not the product of a healthy mind. Not to mention the way she told Cheryl to get out of her house before she killed her.....I think I'm putting her back on my suspect list. I would love this! It would certainly make Archie more interesting than he's been so far. Im glad the show is going for an ensemble vibe instead of a clear main character thing because as charming as KJ Apa seems in interviews a show with this version Archie front and centre would not have been good.
  20. Yeah. It's definitely not the them (though Alice has probably killed someone at some point) and I guess Polly is out thanks to the men in white (but there's still something not quite right with her- maybe just a consequence of being raise by Mama Cooper). Im leaning towards it being the Blossom parents. Or Fred Andrews, there's no way he's the only normal one of that graduating class. Seeing how effed up everyone else is there was definitely a little bit too much maple syrup in the Riverdale water back in the old days.
  21. It was because of how they were de-chipped last season. They got electrocuted and removed from the CoL before Clarke flipped the kill switch and that left some ALIE code in their brains that did something to them. I think... Or the short version, Raven had a happy minute when she found Becca's lab/tech playground so the show had to punish her with impending doom. I really do hope she gets to space once before science kills her because she deserves whatever nice things can still be found in the post apocalyptic about to be irradiated world.
  22. It's the curse of being the lead. Personally, the only shows where the actual lead has been my favourite character on the show were Buffy and Veronica Mars. Usually I prefer the snarky sidekicks. In Archie's case though, he's seems especially milquetoast given how interesting almost everyone else on the show seems to be, especially Betty/Jughead/Ronnie/all the parents except Fred. I guess it is in keeping with the comics though because comic Archie tends to be just as bland.
  23. Lol! Layered crazy is definitely my jam. I like that she's sweet and kind and genuinely empathetic but clearly given her parentage and "full dark, no stars" Betty from episode 3 she's probably about 5 minutes away from a full breakdown and/or finally stabbing Mama Cooper. That she is! By far my favourite adult on the show. That delicious cackle at the thought of her husband having the balls to murder somebody made me love her for life. Does that make me terrible?
  24. Me too. I've always been a Veronica fan from the comics but I really like what they've done with the show Betty she has a sweetness that's matched with enough of the barely repressed crazy which makes her really fun. I think the actress is doing a great job with it too. She's my favourite character (along with Mama Cooper). All of which makes me pray they keep her away from simpering after Archie because they got a gem in her and I don't want to see the show waste it.
  25. Shhh. Don't ruin it just yet. Let me enjoy their cuteness for now. I'm hoping this is one of things where the writers see something with certain characters/actors and decide to go with it because it works and it means they'll scrap their triangle plans because I can't imagine anyone who's ever read the comic would claim that their favourite part is seeing the two awesome girls fight over the generic good guy. Also Betty has become so awesome since she escaped from Archie's shadow. I don't want to see her pining. So I really really hope they keep her away from him romantically.
